Minecraft Preview 1.20.50.21 – A Sneak Peek into the Upcoming Update
The latest version of Minecraft, Preview 1.20.50.21, has just been released, and it brings some exciting new features to the game. One of the highlights of this update is the introduction of a new block called the Crafter, which offers a lot of potential for players.

What is the Crafter?
The Crafter is an automatic crafting block that allows players to automate the crafting process. It can be crafted using five iron ingots, two pieces of redstone, and one dispenser. While the recipe might not be cheap, it accurately represents the look and functionality of the block.
Visually, the Crafter resembles a regular crafting table, but with iron accents. It is also a directional block, meaning it can be placed in different orientations, including upwards and downwards.
Using the Crafter
The interface of the Crafter is similar to the regular crafting table. It features nine slots where players can place items. These slots can be locked by clicking on them, preventing any items from being placed in them. Unlocking a slot is as simple as clicking on it again.
One interesting feature of the Crafter is that when a recipe is placed in the slots, a preview of the resulting item appears in a separate window. This makes it easier for players to see what they will craft before they actually do it.
To craft items using the Crafter, all it needs is a Redstone signal. Once powered, it will produce the desired item. This automation feature, combined with the ability to lock slots, allows for fully automated crafting setups using hoppers and dispensers.
Other Changes in the Update
In addition to the Crafter, this update also brings some changes to the appearance of decorated end rods and brewing stands. The hitbox of the end rod has been corrected, and the direction of the brewing stand’s shaking animation has been adjusted.

While this update provides a sneak peek into the upcoming 1.21 update, it leaves players wanting more. It would have been great to see some additional changes or improvements to existing features. Nonetheless, the addition of the Crafter is a promising start.
