I think we’ve all seen hermitcraft right whether you watch mumbo whether you watch etho regardless of who you watch we’ve all come across a fancy little fellow in good times with scar so good times scar is personally one of my favorite people to watch on the hermitcraft server he’s absolutely

Ridiculously hilarious one thing that i absolutely loved is or i i do love one thing i do love is he’s got this nice hat all the herman seem very perplexed about about his hat and so i’ve took it upon myself to go ahead and make the hat

So you can add it to your own game so if you’re a fellow good times of scar fan as i am i’ve created this i’ve created it as a resource pack i was originally making it as a mod but i thought it would work better as a resource pack it

Would take a little bit more steps but it would allow you to do it in multiplayer and you would allow it play with your friends as well essentially i’ve created a 3d model forgive me forgive me 3d model this is one of the first 3d models i’ve ever created so

Please please please please please be kind colors aren’t exact because i’ve used game files i’ve used game textures because i don’t want you guys having to create your own textures or having to import new texture files and all you’ll have to do is download the resource pack

In the description and follow the steps that i’ll have at the end of this and i kind of want to show you the process of me making it so it’s going to be pretty much me showing you a time lapse of me creating the 3d model me texturing it

I’ll tell you in advance thank you for watching and i appreciate you being here all right let’s get into that time lapse So let me show you how to get this thing to work okay and i’m going to show you how to unzip those asset files so you can use some of those textures so once you import this it’ll work if you don’t do this step i think the model will just

Appear completely black so essentially going to open up file explorer which is this little manila folder it’s the manila folder icon at the very bottom and type percent app data hit percent and so this will be the path david’s just the name of my pc that’s what just

What i haven’t said that’s what i’ve named my pc but you’re going to look for something called dot minecraft so go ahead and click into your dot minecraft you can have a lot of stuff so what you’re going to specifically look for is resource packs so essentially that’s

Where you’re going to be putting the file that you’re downloading but that’s unimportant all you have to do is drag what i’ve given you into that resource pack file but irrelevant what we’re actually looking for is though is making those image files accessible to be used as textures

Okay so when the game’s looking in that code when it’s looking in that that word file it’s like okay well i need to find this and i need to find this and i need to find this so we need to make it available for it to find so what you’re

Going to do is you’re going to look for versions so click into your versions i have a whole bunch okay but what you’re going to look for is 1.17.1 so it’s important that you use 1.17.1 because that is what i built the model using and if you specify a different path it’ll

Kind of freak out and won’t see it so you’re going to click into it and you’re not going to have all these other files you just won’t all you’re going to have is a 1.17.1 like this there’s usually a jar file and the json file so what

You’re going to do is you’re going to right click this file so highlight it and then right click it you’re going to hit 7-zip and you’re going to hit extract here okay it’s going to extract it all and it’s going to put it down into here but

Essentially what you’ve done is in your assets folder your your minecraft and textures you now have all the texture files for that version basically you do that for 1.17.1 you don’t have to do anything else that’s it i’ve already specified the file location for it so

You should be perfectly good to go from there so after you’ve done this part make sure you download the resource pack from the description down below make sure you drag that into your resource pack folder as i showed previously in the video and go ahead in your minecraft

Go ahead and sign in go ahead and assign that resource pack and you should be good to go it should work like any other resource pack all right so assuming that you went through all those steps and you got it installed you now have your very

Own scar hat so essentially the way that you get this in the game regardless if you’re in creative or you’re in survival is you take a carved pumpkin and you name it scars hat so you’ll see that the icon will immediately change and the hat will change as well you can
