Kenadian – Minecraft’s SMARTEST ESCAPE ROOM – The Hopper

I’ve been imprisoned in the deadliest maximum security escape room prison in Minecraft the giant Hopper I’m standing on a single Hopper floating 30 blocks above a massive pit of lava the only thing I can see in this room is a window to the guard watch room where my captor

Is watching me arms is cool of course who else would you expect to be behind a hopper themed prison but the moment I noticed him he broke a block in the ceiling and immediately flew away now I was completely alone and possibly the hardest Minecraft escape room ever I was

Gonna have to think of everything I knew about Minecraft to escape so let’s begin first I was gonna have to use everything I found on this Hopper to its fullest potential and there’s nothing in here well but then I looked around the room and noticed something I hadn’t seen

Before there was a dropper in the ceiling with some kind of green blocks around it maybe that dropper is a food shoot and it’s going to dispense something like cake into the hopper that I can pull out so I AFK didn’t sell for an entire day to see if anything got

Dispensed and no The Dropper wasn’t dropping anything I literally had no items I was completely hopeless but then I had a very good idea I used F5 so using F5 gave me a whole new perspective and I was able to see this Hopper by the

Lava I could have seen it without F5 but I saw it in F5 first so um shut up now obviously I couldn’t reach the hopper from here but maybe I could reach it if I jump to it and come on what’s the harm and jumping I figured if I died in the

Lava I’d either respawn outside the prison or back on the hopper again so I had nothing to lose and I just went for it and when I jumped to the hopper I landed on a barrier block I thought I was just on a little platform of barrier

Blocks but I started checking around the room and it turns out the entire thing was sealed off with barriers you might think this is a good thing because I can’t accidentally fall in love anymore but this is very bad I now had literally no way to get to that Hopper so I had

Another completely original new idea I used F5 using F5 gave me a whole new perspective and in Quake Pro leaning up against a wall I was able to see through the walls I’ve done this before on Old Escape rooms and I was able to find crucial information so maybe I could see

Something in the wall that I couldn’t see before I checked every single wall and it turns out there was one comparator on the other side of this wall the comparator had lime wall around it and suddenly I realized that was the same color as I saw in the dropper if I

Could get something to power that comparator I might be able to dispense something from The Dropper but that still doesn’t change the fact that I don’t have anything the only container in my room is you’re kidding light gray stained glass paint there’s no way these were in the hopper the

Entire time I had five stained glass panes this entire time but I couldn’t complain too much now I finally had some items and my Escape could officially begin first I built up to the guard watchroom and I broke some of the glass so the water could pour down then I swam

Up under the room to see what there was when I swam up the hole in the ceiling I realized it was sealed off with bedrock and there were no items in there the only thing in the guard room was this item frame and I figured there must be

Something invisible hiding in that too but no it was just an item frame but it was still going to be useful I could use it to power the comparator from earlier so I took one of the signs off the wall and placed it in the item frame in front

Of the comparator and it powered I had no idea what I was supposed to do with the item frame so I just rotated the sign a couple of times until I figured it was good and then I went to check if anything dropped in the hopper and there

Was one item a boat that’s great boats are so useful in Escape rooms they let you glitch through corners they let you glitch through walls they let you jump over lava they let you climb over Ledges that lets you negate fall damage but none of those were useful to me in fact

The only area that was connected to the area I already explored was the one with the lava but the only items in my inventory the only items in this whole room are about two signs and an item frame how can I use these three items to get through the barrier blocks well this

Is actually a trick question they may be the only items in this room but they’re not the only elements there’s still the glass the water and the hopper and with all of these elements I thought of a glitch that might work but just to make sure I turned on particles to confirm my

Suspicion and based on the water particles what I predicted was true this layer of barrier blocks was only one block thick and now I knew what to do you may or may not know this obscure glitch where if a boat falls under the smallest layer of water it can actually

Glitch into the ground and if you jump into the boat while it falls on the ground then it looks like your head is sticking out of the ground and it’s funny but as you may have guessed if there’s only one layer of blocks the boat will fall all the way through them

And I knew exactly where to place the boat to get this glitch to work on top of the hopper so I used my signs and place them in front of the water to push the water current further and further once the water was close enough I could

Swim up and place the boat on the hopper now all I have to do is break the hopper and jump into the boat as it falls through the barriers and I only have one shot to do this so I have to get it right so I broke the hopper and jumped

In the boat just as it glitched to the barriers and my plan worked I’m a genius and then I realized I was barreling straight for the lava and I had no way to save myself I’m a complete idiot I quickly disconnected from the game to give myself time to think my boat was

Doomed the moment it would hit the lava so there’s no point trying to save it but I could save myself you probably already know that when you log onto a Minecraft server you’re immune to fire damage for the first three seconds so I could log on to the server for three

Seconds at a time but then I started to realize the lava was a lot deeper than I thought it was I was sinking deeper and deeper into lava and I still had no plan so with some quick thinking I tried to figure out what I could do with the

Items I had I still had two signs if I place them on top of each other I could basically make an air pocket in the lava where I could survive for a bit and come up with a new plan now I’m stuck at the center of a 20 foot deep lava pit with

Only half my health and no items that could help me but I’m not giving up hope yet what can I do I thought about trying to swim over the hopper I was trying to get to in the well but I rewatched my footage and realized it was way too far

Away to reach so if I wanted to get to that Hopper I’d have to find some blocks to build up to it and that’s when I noticed something sketchy this lava pool wasn’t actually empty if you look at this corner you can kind of see a gap in

The lava texture and you can see the Bedrock on the ground but if you look at this corner the Bedrock texture stops for moons and I see the texture of lava so I went on a disconnect glitch scouting Mission I jumped into the lava using disconnecting and I looked in that

General area using F3 and it said exactly what I was hoping it would Minecraft Hopper there was a hopper in the lava and it might have something useful for me so I went to the hopper and I opened it inside was a powdered snow bucket so I logged on and I took it

As fast as I could and left the game I figured a powdered snow bucket wasn’t very useful in a pit of lava though so I went searching for more Hoppers there were no more Hoppers but there was another block apparently so I swam over in the direction I saw the netherite

Block and there was an air gap above it apparently there was another room behind this netherite block and if I could break it I could get to that room the only problem is this nether eye block is unbreakable okay now it is breakable but it takes 4 minutes and 10 seconds to

Break a netherite block and I can only stay on the server for 3 seconds and yeah that’s it the only ways I can progress in this room is by breaking this netherite block or by getting to the hopper and the only items I have to

Do that are an item frame and a powdered snow bucket how can I progress from this point again this is a trick question because the items in my inventory aren’t the only elements in this puzzle there’s also the lava and that’s what tricked me about the powdered snow bucket it’s not

The powdered snow that’s useful it’s the bucket you already know that you can climb walls using a water bucket but you can climb walls with a lava bucket too and as I’ve already shown you don’t need fire resistance so I swam to the surface of the lava I saw where the hopper was

In the wall and as I expected there was no way I could reach it from here I place my powdered snow somewhere on the wall where it wouldn’t be in danger and I picked up some lava and this is where it gets very tricky I have to disconnect

Glitch and climb up a wall with a lava bucket at the same time and for the record I did this first try without any fire resistance or fire protection it’s not really that hard then I came across a legitimate problem for some reason when I right click the hopper it didn’t

Open for two whole seconds the first time I experienced it it cost me me to lose four hearts of Health instantly I now only had one heart and I couldn’t afford to take any more damage but I was able to see inside the hopper there was an enchanted golden apple and a Triton

If I got to that enchanted golden apple I could get five minutes of fire resistance so I logged on right clicked the hopper and waited two seconds for it to open and I grabbed the Apple in the third second and logged off now I just

Have to join again and eat it before I die as I grabbed the Trident I realized I now had enough fire resistance to break the netherite block with time to spare since again it only takes about four minutes to break so I started swimming as fast as I could through the

Thick lava until I got to the block and I sat here waiting holding down my left click Button as tight as I could all I can do is hope I did my math right and when the time came it broke and I had seven seconds to get through the Gap in

The wall in this next room I saw a zombie wearing leather boots stuck in a wall standing on a slime block I really wanted the leather boots because having a Snow book and leather boots basically means I can climb anywhere but the problem is I couldn’t actually reach the

Zombie from here so I looked around the room for items and the only thing I found was a hopper so somehow I have to get those leather boots with a hopper a trident and a snow bucket well this is stupidly easy isn’t it I remember this from seawat gaming if you place powdered

Snow on a mob it freezes to death so I just decided to place the powdered snow on the zombie and wait while I was waiting I decided to break the hopper in the ceiling since I had nothing better to do and there was actually a tunnel

That led to a new room I guess that’s where I’ll go after I get my leather boots but the zombie actually wasn’t taking any damage then I remembered that leather armor actually protects you from snow damage and apparently that stupid rule applies to mobs too meaning the

Zombie is completely immune to snow I thought of trying to shoot him with the Trident but that would only take down a third of his health and then I wouldn’t be able to get the Trident back but when I thought about it I realized I actually

Had a third item that could kill the zombie lava so I went to the last room and took some lava and I was about to set the zombie on fire but I realized something just before I did if you want a mob to drop armor you have to kill it

Yourself you can’t kill it indirectly with lava or powdered snow the only way I was gonna get those boots was if I killed the zombie in a very weird and specific way and you’re probably starting to figure it out too so I replaced the slime block with a hopper I

Could pick up the boots when it died and then I set it on fire for just long enough that I could one shot it with the Trident and get the boots to draw now I have the ability to climb walls so with the help of the slime block I climbed

Into the next room in the Next Room there was a sign that told me to deposit my item frame to my left was a netherite door and I figured this pressure plate opened the door and um this next room was not what I was expecting this was the biggest room I

Had ever been in an escape room the entire floor was made of lava and half the walls were covered in TNT now there has to be a reason that this TNT is here and while I may not know why yet I probably don’t want that TNT to explode

But as long as I don’t trigger anything I shouldn’t the TNT shouldn’t be a danger um but that might apparently the lava in this room was Rising so I had to start thinking quicker I used the only good idea I knew of and I went into F5 to

Look around the walls I really wanted to climb away with the powdered snow but this ledge was preventing me from building up I thought I’d take some time to think for a second but the lava was moving a lot quicker than I thought it would so I did the only thing instinct

Told me to and building up with the snow in front of the lava was terrifying because if I fall in the lava I might survive but I couldn’t say the same for the TNT I got to the top of the Bedrock box and I looked around there was

Nothing on top of it but there was a sign on the TNT that said I coded it so that if you break TNT it explodes well thank you very much sign but I couldn’t reach the TNT anyway but looking around at the TNT I saw another thing in the

Room there was an entrance at the very top if I could find enough blocks in this room in time I could nerd pull all the way up to the top of that hole before the TNT exploded so I started looking for blocks as fast as possible

In F5 I was able to see that there was actually an opening into the Bedrock box it was going to be a bit tricky to get to but I had no time to waste so I started dropping down with my snow bucket I broke the glass and inside this

Room seem to be literally nothing except this long zigzag Holley which was just wasting my time at the end of the room I found some weird Redstone puzzle hiding behind barrier blocks and a piston holding a netherite block I wanted to just break the netherite block but

Something told me I didn’t have enough time for that okay so how does this Redstone work if something’s standing on the pressure plate then it Powers the redstone torch and retracts the netherite block exposing something maybe when I check in F3 the barriers are only covering the room with the Redstone not

The hallway so if I built up with a powdered snow I could probably throw something to the pressure plate I tried throwing the rotten flesh and I kept missing and I kept missing until it finally got past this corner yeah this wasn’t gonna work and then I remembered

A glitch that I thought was only useful for two player Escape rooms if you punch an item frame on the ceiling it starts glitching upwards like an item elevator So I placed the item from and broke it and it landed on the pressure plate then

I got on my powdered snow to see what it revealed and it was a cauldron full of a very suspicious substance oh it’s powdered snow right right yeah no that’s what I thought it was cool now I have powdered snow I already had powdered snow but I guess the more the merrier I

Needed like 50 blocks by now but this was the only thing left in the room and that’s just one I’d have to go with I went back through the zigzag hallway but I realized I could only bring one powdered snow Buck at a time so I had to

Go all the way back through pick up the second one and go back forward and climb up with both of them and as I started climbing up the lava was literally one block away from me and like five blocks from the TNT and in a desperate Panic

Trying to figure out what I was gonna do I suddenly realized I could climb as high as I wanted and I only needed two blocks to do it powdered snow is the only block in Minecraft that you can pick up from a distance like this meaning I can reuse the same two

Powdered snow buckets to build up forever as the lava got closer and closer to the TNT I got to the very top of the room and saw a sign that said it would disable the lava so I pulled the lever as fast as I could and it blew itself up

For some reason but I had successfully stopped the lava from rising then I walked over to the other side of the room and I found a grand staircase surely this leads to the exit right maybe when I got to the top I found the creepiest room I had ever seen there was

A hopper sitting on some kind of altar at the center of the room and I don’t know if it was the dim Lighting in the room where the Gregorian chants in the background but I was kind of afraid to open it eventually I did open it anyway and inside was of five hoppers

Okay so I just moved on and as I expected there it is there’s the exit the only thing stopping me from getting to that ladder is just two grass blocks moving back and forth I tried breaking them but they’re moving too fast to break this looks so simple but it’s

Literally unbreakable the only thing I could think to do with the Hoppers was maybe pick up the cake in the other room which was nice because now I could regen my Hunger bars but while this is a piece of cake this isn’t there has to be

Something in the room I’m missing so I checked under every slab in the altar there was nothing there I checked under every single staircase I used F5 to check behind every wall and there were no hidden rooms and that’s it all I had is these items I thought about maybe

Going to pick up the TNT but even if I was allowed to break the TNT I don’t have anything to power it with the lever from earlier was the only power source I had so even TNT would be completely useless against this stupid grass block door but then while I was checking back

Through all the rooms to see if I was missing anything I reopened the hopper and there were five more Hoppers inside now I don’t know if I have dementia but I’m 99 sure I already picked up those five offers but I took them again anyway and then I checked again to see what

Happened and it actually refilled with Hoppers this Hopper seemed to be picking up items from the void but like literally the only thing I can do in this whole escape room is just fill my inventory with more Hoppers and so I just did that it was the only thing to

Do I mean if I couldn’t break these dirt blocks with one hopper how was I gonna break him with 500 but then Elle’s theme from Death Note started playing and I realized I had a very good idea but it wasn’t F5 this time it was The Hoppers

Themselves let me explain every 1 20th of a second 1 20th of a second passes in Africa wait no no that was the wrong line every 1 20th of a second a Minecraft server will check every single block and entity and see what needs to

Be updated the unit of time is called a tick and normally Minecraft can make every update it needs to in that 20th of a second but if there are too many blocks that need to be updated say there’s a lag machine then Minecraft can’t make every single update in time

And it takes per second which is supposed to be at 20 starts to slow down and this is where I’m in luck hop are one of the blocks that Minecraft has to update every single tick to check if items drop into them and that means a ton of place Hoppers would basically

Create a lag machine which would slow the TPS down slow enough that I might just be able to break those grass blocks this Escape was no longer about knowing obscure Minecraft features it was about breaking the game but here’s the problem I completely filled every room I had

Access to with Hoppers and the TPS didn’t budge a bit turns out you need a lot more than a couple hundred Hoppers to create a lag machine I would need a massive room if I wanted this plan to work oh yeah right this is going to take

A long time but it was the only way out of the escape room I quickly built a spiral staircase out of Hoppers so I could get up and down out of the room without needing to use my powdered snow then I filled layer after layer after the layer watching the server barely be

Able to keep up as the TPS dropped down to 15 then to 10 then to 5 and after three hours of placing Hoppers I walked back into the room with the grass blocks and I escaped I took cemented pearls from the wall climbed up the ladder and

When I purlitched through just like that I’d escaped the Minecraft oh oh my gosh arms hey um have you been here the whole time what are you laughing at I just broke out of your stupid Hopper prison Canadian you’re so focused on escaping that you didn’t realize what are you

Talking about don’t you know where my power comes from Hoppers what wait and you did exactly what I wanted you to do you place tens of thousands of Hoppers just for me what and now I will cleanse this world as well this world is about to see the beauty of hoppers Foreign it’s a good thing they’re moving a lot slower than they were in the last replay shot wait these are just Hoppers Hoppers don’t even do any damage and they just stopped huh I just saw him disappear he’s probably coming up with a new plan now that’s not good Okay maybe I can come up with a way to stop him Arthur items in these Hoppers yes perfect let’s see a brewing stand Golden Apple all right water bottles perfect maybe I can brew a potion let’s set this down boat comparators one can think what can you

Blocks and like the respawn anchors now that the Bedrock is exposed I can use the glitch I did at the beginning of the video I’m going to make like an item and fall into this Hopper perfect I know exactly where to go and what to do I don’t know how much time I

Have but I’m super close there it is all I have to do is break this TNT alms say goodbye to your hop wait that sign from earlier said if I broke the TNT would explode what was it lying this whole time uh quick I need a plan B um comparators perfect
