Hello everybody and welcome back to another Kid-A-Loo tutorial video! So if you are looking for a simple yet very effective cave spider XP farm tutorial this is it! This tutorial works on Java and Bedrock editions of Minecraft so if This video helps you out I would love it if you left me a comment and subscribed to the channel for more awesome Minecraft builds and gaming content. Be sure to stick around until the end of this video where I will show you how I Stop the cave spiders from climbing the walls, so if that’s an issue for you I have an answer for that at the end of the video. So let’s go ahead and get into this build! Alright guys so I have the items in my hotbar that you will need For this build so we need some blocks of choice, we need enough torches to light things up as we go, we need three fence gates, we need three cobblestone walls, we need three hoppers, three chests, four slabs, and three iron trapdoors. Okay so For this build we are going to take this out four in either direction, so we need to knock out the walls one, two, three, four on either side of the spawner one, two, three, four all the way around four on each side, that’s going to give us a Nine by nine room. We need to make sure that we have two to three blocks above the spawner and we need three blocks below the spawner taken out. This is probably a good opportunity to go ahead and put one of our stone slabs on top of The spawner that is going to help keep spiders from spawning up here and kind of wandering around on top instead of flowing through our farm, but other than that I’m going to knock out three blocks from the floor right now and we’ll be Right back! Alright so this is what we should be looking at right now so this is a nine by nine room, we took out three blocks directly below the spawner so let’s go ahead and get down into the room now. So we are gonna pick a wall and We are gonna go ahead and take one more area off the wall. Cave spiders have started climbing the walls and so I’m going to show you a tip for how I stop that at the end the video, but for now let’s pick a Wall and we’ll go ahead and knock off one more row from that wall and then whichever wall that you chose directly below it is where you want to take out to two spots for a channel for some water right here. So we’re going to take These two two blocks off right there and then this is how this should be looking so far. Okay the next step we want to do and I’ve kind of marked it in in some white blocks so it’s easy to see, is we want to pick the very center of the wall So one, two, three, four blocks in three wide we want to go ahead and knock these six blocks out just like that and we’re gonna take that in about nine deep just to give us plenty of room to work. Okay so that’s one, two, three, four, five, six, Seven, eight and nine and I will go ahead and put some light in here so you guys can see. And this is the the start of what we’ve got going on here okay so this is how this should be looking so far okay. Next we’re going to use our Fence gate so I’m gonna go two in from from the outside edge of this so this is one in this is two in and I’m gonna put my three fence gates just like that okay and we want to open those so the spiders are going to flow right in here and Through these fence gates okay and then I’m gonna skip one right here and then on the next one here I am gonna go ahead and punch this out and we’re gonna leave that empty for right now. I’m also going to punch out the next row Right here that’s where our hoppers are going to go and the next row is where our chests are gonna go okay so I’m gonna go over to this side I’m gonna go ahead and put my chest down and I prefer just to do individual chests so if you Shift crouch, shift crouch it’ll just put three individual chests. I just like the way that looks a little bit better and then I’m gonna go behind here and put my hoppers into those chests so once again shift crouch into Each chest just to make sure that the hopper is pointing into the chest, shift crouch into the chest just like that. Okay so the next thing I want to do is go ahead and knock these blocks out in front of the chest, this is just going to Give us basically our our kill chamber area right here and the next thing I want to do is go ahead and two blocks up from the chest I want to put another row of just plain blocks just like that and then directly underneath that is where We’re going to use our iron trapdoor. So this is really the the magic to this design is these trapdoors right here so we’re going to put trapdoors on the underside right there and then on top of these hoppers we are going to go Ahead and put our slabs so I’m going to crouch place once again those slabs. Now you can see there is less than a half a block space so if we did not have these iron trapdoors there the spiders could still slip through this area but as it Is they can’t get through less than a half a block space and any XP or string or anything that we that we get from them is going to flow right into these hoppers and into these chests they will go through these slabs. Okay so now in This empty block right here what we want to do is put our cobblestone walls. Now this is a idea that one of the commenters, one of the watchers on the last [cave spider] video gave to me and what this does is this will make the XP that falls behind these hoppers and behind these slabs, it will shoot that XP up and over these slabs so it works really great to make this just about lossless. So put your cobblestone walls right there and then one of the last Things that we need to do is go ahead and place our water. So believe it or not guys this farm design is just about done so let’s go ahead and get our water in here and then you can see how that looks from the other side. Okay so I am going To put some water all along this back row so this is how this looks from here. Let’s go ahead and put some water all along this back row. Obviously I’m doing this in creative if you’re doing this in survival you’ll Just have to make a infinite water source somewhere that you can grab from pretty easily so this should flow right to the end and then we’re gonna make another bucket of water right in this corner just like that and then over on This corner just like that and you will see that should flow perfectly right down in there you see all the streams flowing to the middle and this is going to maximize the amount of spiders that get through this gap so that they’re not Climbing the walls. Okay so they are going to flow and it stops right at these fence gates so what we want to do on this side is we want to go ahead and place more water on these blocks right in front of the fence gates that will Flow and push the cave spiders the rest of the way to the kill chamber so let’s go ahead and do that there, there and there okay so now this water should be flowing all the way and once the spiders get in here they may bounce around and Kind of dance around in here but the great thing about this design is they will be able to see you and track you right over there so they are not going to hang out here very long they’re going to try to get to you and they will come Right in here and then this will push them the rest of the way into where we want them to be. Okay so the last thing that we need to do in here, and this is very important, we need to block this up so they can’t Climb up to the ceiling so let’s go ahead and block these the rest of the way up all the way out and believe it or not guys this is just about done so this is how it should look from in here so at this point I have removed all The torches in the room except for what is on the spawner, but how do we stop the spiders from climbing the walls? So I’m going to show you what I do that seems to really help the spawn rates and helps keep them from climbing the walls and It’s a little more expensive so this step is optional but what I do is I take some iron bars and put them right across this first row and then I put some signs right on top of each of those iron bars all the way Across this row. Now this is going to make it a little more difficult for the spiders to just attach and climb up this wall. The other important thing that I do is I replace this last row of blocks where The water flows, sometimes they’ll get hung up on this edge a little bit and if you replace these with iron bars as well then that is going to make the spiders float right off of this right into our water stream And is gonna really help keep them from getting stuck anywhere and it’s gonna stop them from climbing the wall. Okay so the last thing we will do is go ahead and remove these torches from the spawner and then we will let the cave spiders start spawning in here Okay guys so I put some glass here so you guys can see how this whole process works as they flow in so you see they flow in right here to these fence gates and they will naturally want to kind of stop right there. Now in survival if I go Over here and I come up against this they are gonna see me and they’re gonna track to me and you see it’ll just pull them right toward me so this is perfect it pulls them all right to where I can hit them you see it pulled them right Out of that spot and they’re all bunched up there at the front now I can go ahead and just whack away. All right so let’s look around here make sure we don’t have any drops no XP, nothing that got stuck back there it all flowed to me either Over those slabs or right into the chests and yeah guys this is the perfect way to get some XP really fast in Minecraft and I hope you enjoyed this cave spider xp farm design.
