Hey guys mel is here and welcome to the tutorial in this episode I’m going to be showing you three logic gates that you can use to make your circuits do more complicated things ok this is an and gate it’s a system where to positive inputs will result in one positive Output that is if either of these are negative then we won’t get a positive output on the other side and give you an example of that there we go got a positive input coming in and it’s still negative on the other side when the other one goes positive then we get a Positive out this side now what we can do that if we turn these torches in two inputs have them as switches and then we can have an output on this side which I’ll do with a steel door you can see this still duel will only ever open both Of these switches are thrown if either one of them is switched off and the door will shut similar to the and gate is the NAND gate that’s and with no on the front and that’s basically where we have two negative inputs will result in a positive output to do that we just Simply knock off that towards there and have that one ER this way if either of these are negative the door will be open when they’re both positive the door will be closed basically just swaps the angles over this is a nor gate or nor latch essentially this is a system where We have two inputs here and here which will switch these two lines of redstone state and then lock them in whichever state they switch to so to show you what I mean that let’s put the inputs in this time I’m going to well it’s just you the Switch on these you’re in here if I now change this one toggle this one then this talk will go off like so George goes off which which is this one back on now no matter what I do with this switch it will always stay in that state so the State of this latch is now locked this as a positive output if I come over to this one and once again switch it then the state changes and I can’t switch back between them so it’s locked now with this as the positive and this as the negative okay So another way of building a nor latch if you haven’t got that much room is just to start by making this little corner piece like this let’s take a redstone torch under there one on the side there then two pieces of crop top and you’re done that is another no large We have an input coming here select foot switch there we have another input on top here so like so just linked fatter and we have an output the output is actually coming into the input here and it is also there is an opera coming here So you can see if we switch these and that change the lock state there and this one change it back ok so in example of a way that you might want to use a nor latch and if I i’m going to do a vertical one like this With the redstone torch over there one on the side redstone across the top i’m going to take a orange line across here c13 like that blacking there and back from there here’s our two inputs and redstone across the top then we’ve got our outputs when everyone hang out here And that’s happier out here now what we can do then is have output going into a door the way here you want into it away here I give yourself a door quickly that let’s put these the other way around since the seafoam brothers family and one in Now what will happen here is we should toggle between the doors so we open that one one on the left is going to open one on the right stays closed and we can switch between them so that’s useful if you’re building like an air lock system Maybe or maybe you’ve got a ticket booth for a spliff court or a spleef arena or something like that then you can let one person through to pay their bills one at a time bid for this setup okay so something else that you can do with These logic gates I’m going to stick a pair of inputs bound to bubbles too and to read something out that in to have no latches I’m going got very laggy old on sudden let’s to touch their Ritz and hooks there man there and will link them up like so and we’re going to Need coming out of these we want 11 I’m stick inverter on the ends of these like site and we’re going to take red stone from there together it’s just switch them to the same state and put an and gate in here and then you will put our output central So and we’re going to take another little section through here just going straight underneath that redstone there take red stone of fruit and under it’s going to go out to this blog here the other more lunches stick your black wall block on there and got another in there So what we have created here is a system of two buttons revved up to two new latches and then nor latches are plugged into the and gate so what’s going to happen is that door will now only open when both of these buttons have impressed the only way to close it then Is with this button like site so created sort of a locking mechanism security device I was like the sort of nuclear missile launches in submarines paid for two keys in order to open the hatch and then one button to reset it from the inside just like that okay so Another use of these logic gates if I put five inputs in a row down here that’s 45 and then it’s six around the corner there and put a swift on mappillai button on that one sorry and switches on all of these and on the back of some of these switches I’m going to Put some redstone torches and then going to link all these redstone torches and the switches up to live redstone just going to go into the back of an inverter now what I can end it take the inverter exercise I’m in the back the button as well then Put an and gate across here top of their in their money center with a red star on top and have an output here cobble stone and metal door now we have two outputs just like say right there now what we’ve created here is a very simple combination lock so These we will only get a positive output unlocking that door when both of these torches are off to get both those torches off first for me to turn off this row of redstone I don’t do that we need to toggle the switches which have redstone on the back of them to be Facing down so that turns off the first launch and pressing the button the sea turtles are the second torch and opens the door what we can then do because obviously by pressing this book we’ve only got very limited time to get drunkle so if i move my output back of It i’m going to do is take this line i’m going to put a not gate a nor latch sorry here then go to cover up damn redstone across the top and the output in there coming out this way and output I’m sorry to come by and take that one and you can Patch it to an inverter and then have the inverted going to the door yeah let’s see during the boom then what we can do is take piece of I’d start from here switch on button here soon across the top here okay now we’ve got the combination already plugged in we can press the Button away from the door and the nor latch will keep the door open then once you’ve gone through the door you press the reset button to shut the door behind us and the still can’t get back out there store but if we have a bubble mixture and that’s no problem Okay well that’s it for this episode I hope you’ve enjoyed it be sure to rate comment and subscribe and check back next time as we delve further into the world redstone Video Information
