Let’s Play Minecraft 1.16 Survival : Starting a Brand New Base!

Hey folks whip here and welcome on back to the amplified survival world where we are back in the city here we did a lot of work in the last episode from getting an ink farm set up to a brand new structure inside of the city oh

It was a lot of good work so thank you all so very much for the support on that one glad to hear y’all are still enjoying this series today we’re going to be doing something a little bit different today we’re going to be talking a little bit about

What to do in your minecraft worlds when you don’t really know what to do because my friends i’m at the point of this world where i don’t really know what to do these projects up here at the city it’s kind of turning to be a little bit frustrating for me

With uh beyond losing all our villagers i’m kind of realizing why i haven’t played amplified survival since it was originally released years and years ago is amplified is very annoying it’s very annoying to deal with with mobs dropping from there all the way down here i’ve had spiders

Falling on top of me all the time i have zombies spawning no matter where i am zombies are gonna be able to spawn there they can spawn up there they can spawn all the way on there they can walk all the way down in here and so

It’s very hard to mob proof and simplify things like that but then also traversing around the place let’s lead to this amazing base that we have here so far but dang it can be a little annoying so today i want to talk about the creeper

In the mine cart it doesn’t even look so great he’s got a girlfriend is he the best no uh today i want to talk about a few different things and one thing actually that i wanted to do here is we’re going to be looking at how we can find new ideas

On stuff to do inside of our minecraft world and ways that we can find inspiration to keep on continuing forwards because that’s something i’m struggling with right now and i’ve realized funny enough when i try and explain how to do that with for all of you because i know a lot of

You like to learn how to get inspiration or figure out new ways of finding inspiration for yourselves i know it helps so we’re gonna be talking about that but one thing that i’ve been wanting to do here is this wall i thought it was very cool but it’s very disruptive for the front

Face of our city so i wanted to get rid of it and see if opening up the front of the city here is actually going to help it look a little bit better we still need these big old things over here to make something a little bit more interesting than

Anything otherwise but i’m thinking maybe we could just do something like this with one of the walls on top so it feels a little bit like a large lantern with all these tiny lanterns around it thought that could be kind of fun to have taking a look back now if

The faces of the structures in there so i felt like i was losing a lot of the atmosphere that we were creating just with this thing right in front of it similar to how we have this big old guy he’s kind of blocking everything in there but at

Least that’s interesting to look at now that we’ve got that done i thought it’d be a good idea just kind of check around our world see the different things that we have going on and just kind of see if any of those things will inspire us so i

Figured we would start back in here where i actually need to go grab a barrel real quick because i realize we made an oopsie in the last episode and that was my friends that i had this year bed on me the entire time so one of

The rules we set inside of this world was that we could not keep a travel bed no sleeping bag so i want to set up a barrel inside of here where we used that bed quite a few times the last episode so i’m going to put 10 diamonds

In the rule breaking jar over here and we’re also going to be putting the bed to signify what it was for so we lose some 10 diamonds here and i want to see kind of how many diamonds i’m going to try and keep this number as small as we can

But you know something like that we’ll just see how it goes throughout there so you know that’s kind of a big bummer this one right here i’m almost willing to just throw a stack of diamonds in here and call it good because as mentioned previously all of our villagers keep dying on us

The only ones we have alive are the ones in the top of the library who kind of are in a village or trading hall over there they’re not able to roam free throughout the city but i think just being in an amplified world it’s not something that we can do really

Super easily so if you have ideas on how we can fix that up please be sure to let me know but what else do we have down here the know everything tree farms haven’t done that one quite yet the no f3 coordinates defined areas might create routes to guide us that’s pretty good

I’ve been using coordinates in the nether just to link things but i think that’s okay in my opinion now back over here what have we got in this area interiors yeah we’re getting into them everything must be walkable well everything in this base is walkable we’ve got advancement hunting gotta

Start tackling some of those maybe that can spark some ideas here today creating resource outposts that is something that i want to get back to all we really have is the flower forest we have this place and then we have the guardian farm which i realized i haven’t shown y’all

The height in builds we’ve been doing that a lot we’ve got some bridges around the place we’ve got a lot of that redstone farms that add life to builds that is something that i think is what we can get back to and start doing some more stuff pets

We only really have the pandas so maybe we need to get some of those too first and foremost though let’s jump into the nether because i want to show you all the updated version of the guardian farm it’s been a stream project that i’ve been working on for quite a while now

And it’s uh it’s turning out well through our train station hub of another which we only have the train tracks right now we’ll get back to this project here soon i’ve been loving the 100 day hardcore challenge i’ve been doing over on twitch so these projects unfortunately have

Been a little bit on the wayside for now but this one right here my friends is the working guardian farm we still have to decorate the entire thing but you can see lots of guardians falling on right down here in the middle oh look at that oh look at how many

Guardians are in there i’m trying to figure out a way that we can maybe optimize them actually flowing into the tube without just making this tube even wider because i think it would really mess with the design if it’s an equal basically guardians spawn in here they

Go all the way to the top and then they go through these water elevators escalators i guess we could call them all the way here into the middle where then they’re dying on some campfires and we’re getting all of the loot down there and what do we got

Cooking away in here oh my gosh i’m still making so much glass i made it back over to the base from the guardian farm and i’ve got an idea i’ve been putting together a few different things here i’ve got a bunch of smooth sandstone smelting away so we

Can get even more of that and where the idea came from was actually the signs that we were looking at previously because over here we have the know everything tree farms and also we had the create resource outposts throughout the world well there’s a tree farm that we don’t have

Anywhere inside of the world funny enough that we live in a jungle because i don’t have anywhere that i actually farm jungle trees the only place i used to do it was chopping some guys off the top of that island but that’s kind of run dry and i don’t

Really have a great place to do it so i was thinking today we could start a new mini project or a new resource outpost almost like a caribbean themed a kind of piratey theme seems like a fun way to go which is why we’re getting all the sandstone in here

But we’re gonna be building up a jungle tree farming area with almost like a plantation style home on top of it let me get these things melted down and i’ll show y’all what we’re doing three shulker boxes smacked full of stuff here and it is time to

Get to doing some building so we can harvest jungle trees goodbye for now to this city let’s head right around the corner up here i remember there’s a location over here that i really enjoyed and really wanted to build something at and it’s actually this spot right here

If we look directly out that way if it would be loading in that’s be where we harvest our oak trees our birch trees and actually our spruce trees as well but we have this really cool open area right down in here that’s not really being utilized all that well and let’s be honest

It’s a great excuse for not being amphify trained because it’s pretty flat so i’m really happy with that right now flying up and down and up and down all over these places is just kind of hectic for building so i was hoping to get something a

Little bit on the flatter side so i think i need to clear a few of the trees out of here clear a little bit of a space for ourselves to set up the hacienda or whatever we’re going to be calling this in the middle here as our base camp and

Then we can start building off of that the way we’re starting off this project is like any good minecraft project for myself at least is i’ve gotta clear out the entire area and see what we’re working with in the shape of the land it’s a great way to also have some time

To think for yourself as uh i’ve got this general idea if i want to build a place where we’re gonna be able to chop down our jungle trees obviously for the jungle tree farming we need a flatter area and be able to build those those big guys over there or at least grow

Them but on top of that we’re gonna need to have some processing plants and if we’re trying to link it up with the shipping and everything else that we’re doing inside of this world we need to get a dock area down here at the base

So i like the idea of this being raised up here which i didn’t really realize there’s kind of a harsh cliff going down here so from clearing the landscape i’m now getting ideas of let’s build a structure up here have a cool winding roadway going all the way down to the base

Then we get something off of there just by playing the game and seeing if we can’t come up with an idea well playing the game i feel like i’m getting a bunch of ideas and there we have it this is actually a great piece of land for ourselves to be

Using up here i’m super excited to be able to build something on this i’ve got so much jungle wood out of it here too i’ve even got more inside of these shulker boxes we were able to get over nine stacks of jungle wood off of this that

Is insane and look how many leaves are in there too do i have another empty shulker box i can use this one has terracotta in it we might be able to use some terracotta in this build so let’s fill it up with all of the wood

Because why not now a rough idea of what i wanted to do in this landscape here is i like where this starts to dip down i think we could smooth that out since it’s raised up here we can have a roadway coming all the way down like that

Curving its way down and then we can have a dock area for loading and unloading of the jungle wood over there so what that means is we’re probably going to take this stuff back a little bit and then i also want to clear this section out to create a larger

Flatter area for us to build our house on i think this will be a project we can spend a few episodes on and building a really cool base out here so any ideas you all have for things that we should be including in this let me know throughout the rest of the

Episode if you get any ideas sparked from me building here now for the front of the structure i’ve got two ideas in mind right now that i’ve wanted to try what we’re gonna start out with is a little bit of sandstone here coming one two three four

And then we’re gonna have so we’re gonna have one two three four five six and seven on the sandstone right here which will be bringing us up so we can have a larger window right in there that’s too wide and then inside of here we can bring in a little bit of regular

Sandstone stair and then we can bring in a smooth sandstone stair and create a small archway inside of here where we can bring in our spruce trap doors and create a taller door frame for us so it has a little bit of that rounded effect that i think is being

Very crucial for the style down here now i’m gonna put a plant potter right there in the center just so we have it ready to rock and actually have a way to get up to this next layer so i want to come back out here and add

In our first window section that we can be using because i think it’d be really cool to have a window up here doing again the same type of thing with that regular sandstone stair and the smooth sandstone stair in there as well and then if we bring this up

One more up here this is where we can start getting some interesting stuff and i need to grab some oak logs because we can add them sticking two blocks out here on all of these different sides and then from there let’s get some more spruce trap doors new bam bam bam

And bam sending that stuff all the way up to the top and then speaking of sending to the top let’s get ourselves up there too we’re gonna do another line of the smooth sandstone we’ll mess this all up as we’re going as we need to and all that good stuff but what i

Thought would be really fun is if we brought in some campfires i like the idea of having this stuff hanging out super far over the end almost a little bit like a desert style or something but not quite there and then because this looks a little weird i’m thinking we do slabs

Here on the end and we can do some more trapdoors right like this gives us a very cool overhang to keep ourselves out of the sun and everything like that for the front of the house here and then maybe what we could do along the base here is i had a little

Bit of an idea we could either go with some of this birch plank action and do the entire bottom row with birch planks going all the way around which honestly i think that’s the way we’re gonna go the other route that i had is we could just do a little bit of a

Test guy back here so i don’t have to mess with that front face too much but if we bring in the birch log like this and bring it up one and we were to strip it all the way down yeah i think i kind of like the planks

On the bottom some more so let’s move forward with those guys moving a very similar setup for what we had over to this corner right around here we can start incorporating some more of these campfires there too but what i was thinking we could do on the front

Where i just removed these few is we could start bringing in a little bit of the jungle leaf action because i think that could look absolutely awesome something like this going all the way around then up here i think we bring it up another block and then we

Can do a little bit of a roof action up there which we’ll get to here in a little while but if we have that down there we could do another one right up here and then we can do the last campfire maybe this guy right there and i’m thinking we start bringing it

Into another larger structure right over here which if we do this i want to create a boxy shape we have what six wide on this front seven white on the front let’s go with like a six by six tower i don’t normally tend to build on odd

Shapes but i think it could work out really well with the style it’s a much more of a blocky style so i think if we start working in some odds and mix those in with everything else we got going on it could give a really cool result in

The end so we’ve got the tower right like in there and then i want to take this side out a few blocks let’s see that brings back three that’ll look nice then maybe we go out two blocks so it’s not quite the same or maybe do we go four

Yeah let’s go with four because if we have a large tower back there it’ll help bring it out even more or maybe five let’s do five why not we’re going big today everybody we’re going big today so we brought it out five then i’m thinking we’d give ourselves a five wide

Interior space so then we would need birch planks coming all the way around here and bringing it all the way back in just directly into this building i saw the ferns around here and i believe if we hang them in a flower pot with a chain on top of it they do

Connect i think the fern touches to the full top of that block and i did bring some flower pots with me here as well we’ve got some chains on us so let’s see what we can do to make this front area just a little bit more

Interesting than not so what if we came over here and we can hang these guys down we can do one of those right in there and then maybe we can hang this guy down right over in here we can do another lantern and then all the way back in here maybe

Right in front of where we have that window nope that’s not going to work because that’s a leaf block so maybe it’s going to go off of this guy we can do that that’ll be fine then we put the hanging plant ooh i like that a lot oh that almost

Perfectly connects in there i think that’s okay for me now we just got to get the rest of the sandstone walls in and kind of figure out the rest of this guy going around the whole build making a lot more campfires for sure adding a little bit of a fun flare to

The front of this guy i think we can just do a one face on the roof here and maybe we do this on the same end over there if we want to but i think it could be kind of cool adding all this stuff coming up here

Maybe we adds a little bit of terracotta in the middle or what we could do right in here is adding in a few of these stair guys maybe we do fill in that top one and then we can do a little bit of a slab right down there

That gives us a kind of a cool little bit of a look to that front oh yeah i like that because that’ll appear into the tower behind us and could give a very cool effect now to add an additional pop of color into this since we’re just kind of with

The browns and the sandstone i was thinking we could bring some brick back into here and i’m thinking this area over here is going to be turned into the kitchen we’re going to have a tower off of there didn’t mean to break that guy but then

We can come back into here and maybe this can be a large brick oven of sorts that’ll be just kind of hanging out the back here we’ll figure out what it’s going to look like on the inside but maybe for now we just set up the oven

Itself with our chimney coming out all the way up to here now we’ve got ourselves a soulfire campfire so it doesn’t have too much light coming off of the dude and then we can start by just adding in a few of the trapdoors around this and i think i’m just gonna

Put a brick wall or maybe even a brick stair on top night has fallen and skeletons are spawning literally right next to the front of the house but let’s take a look back at this with our final rocket here well i guess we got one more

Of them but how does that start to look ooh that’s turning out really well i think we need to really bring that wooden bit going all the way around here then it’s going to feel very awesome the bummer part about working in a jungle especially at night is that mobs

Only spawn right where you are because otherwise everything else is just nicely covered in leaves they don’t really have anywhere else to spawn so let’s turn in a little bit of paint in the bot i think for this side sense it’s a lot more just kind of hidden than the front

Face that we have there i think i’m just gonna leave it with a filled in inside to it we’re not gonna add that same detail bit to it and i think it’ll be okay that way what i was thinking though as a very cool way to add some color is i brought

Some warped wood with and i wanted to see if i crafted up a bunch of warped wood slabs something’s fighting me something’s attacking me oh god it’s a spider and then came all the way up here just to again get that pop of color for no real reason

But i wanted to see what it would look like is i was thinking we could take if we go right here that would give us a good amount of space down below i think five blocks for the ceiling it would also give us the ability to

Have something on this roof or do we want to make this roof accessible maybe we go with accessible so let’s bring it to the top half of the block accessible by meaning that we’re going to be building some stuff on it putting some barrels up here and the works just

To make it have a little bit more fun and character to it again so we can have some extra usage out of this build giving ourselves a rooftop balcony is gonna increase the land value by so much we’ve been overrun by mobs everybody that’s that’s about where we’re at right

Now almost died i’m gonna head back home oh we are so close to home holy cow just came right over the edge and we’re here ender but some people have been asking me how you’re doing so i figured i have to stop by how you doing bud still staring at the wall great

Happy to see you much much better now we also have a turtle rock out in front of us so maybe we can find them a buddy down there we can actually put some real turtles in there just turn into a nice little sanctuary for him i was thinking for the tower

Over here of going back to that idea i originally had with the strip birch logs and bringing up a little bit extra of height to it so we have two blocks of smooth sandstone down below we’re gonna have a little bit of an entrance in here probably stairs stepping up to it

And then bringing that across here somehow i don’t know we’ll figure that out when we get around there right now just placing some blocks in to get ourselves a wall and of course we need to have an exit from the tower itself to get ourselves onto this rooftop balcony we’ve created

So we can do that right there i’m thinking we put a nice little awning over it it’s gonna be so very beautiful okay we’re back on night two i’ve got a lot of work done and i think at this point because there is a full-on roof over everything that qualifies for me

Being able to put a bed inside of here there’s no floor there’s no floor yet but there’s a roof on board another roof there’s not a roof okay i’m just gonna temporary temporary fix there’s no room it’s fine we can sleep now what i’m working on doing now though is

Getting a little bit of sandstone into the walls to mix up the smooth sandstone i like building it out of the smooth sandstone first because it takes a little bit longer to actually break the stuff then sandstone is very instant mine smooth sandstone for some reason takes a little bit longer even

Though you’ve cooked it down but something like this is turning out really cool i’ve got the whole top onto that second tower i think i’m gonna mess it up a little bit more i like it being very kind of rolling over for these little edges but then

Nope we landed it perfect but i feel like i need to bring it up in the middles a little bit more make i ended up doing this on all four different sides and i think that should fix it up pretty nicely the next thing i wanted to do however was add a little

Bit of sand into this i think sand is a great way to mix up the face of sandstone since it’s all kind of in the same texture and all that type of stuff in there so i’m add a little bit of this guy around the entire structure again

It’s just one layer at a time we’re messing this whole thing up but first before we move out from this area one thing i wanted to do up here that i thought would be pretty fun is adding in a little bit of this brick and granite and then i’m thinking we’re gonna bring

A spruce fence or two on top of it we might make i think i’m gonna bring these just being the one tall that’ll be a little bit easier and just probably using the brick here we can use the rest of that stuff for a little bit more of a feature later

On but if we bring that up to here grab some of our campfires and have them stretching outwards i think it could give a very cool feeling for us i don’t have too many of these guys so i think we’re gonna be mixing in probably a little bit

Of the slab action right here we can do the trapdoors and help them brace from underneath as well and then i do have the jungle leaves so when we extinguish all of these we can actually get a few of our campfires back add some jungle leaves in

Over here and then extend this kind of going around the whole place i don’t really know perfect just like that get the sand out of the way and ooh i like that i like that a lot that turned out really well maybe even over this corner one right there

I know the warped wood floor is a little bit weird but i think once we start adding some sprucy accents with barrels and things inside of there it’s going to give a very cool feel up here very much like a mediterranean mosaic tiled floor but it’s like wood you know it’s great

Adding in a little bit of a pathway out here with some coarser because i think that’s really going to help add this in here as well just something about having all of that just plain old jungle grass inside of here was really starting to bother me so i think that alone

Right there helps us out a lot and then that gives us an excuse to start adding in a few of these leaves going throughout i think i’m actually going to bump those guys forward just adding a few bits of jungle leaves around this whole place we can start

Getting some really cool feels here and just really creating that jungle atmosphere for our very cool little house that we have to start out this brand new base of where we’re going to be harvesting all of our jungle streets ever and i’m thinking we can actually get a cocoa farm out here too

That would be pretty sweet but now it’s time that i just got to do the final detail phases and i kind of stopped putting the sand in the walls too so i got to do that here as well but let me get this whole thing detailed out and i’ll show y’all the final

Product so i ran back over to the base and realized something is missing off of my hot bar i don’t know when it went missing but i seem to have misplaced my pickaxe i really hope i didn’t throw it out on the ground somewhere while i was building

Oh this could be very bad oh god please tell me it’s somewhere around the base in the house anywhere in the fireplace no it’s not down there oh god where is it where is it where is it hello anywhere please please oh god no uh well anyways since we’re here i was

Gonna do a nice little carpet right over in this point and i’m gonna have to go find that pickaxe um yeah this is uh this is not good okay i’m a little nervous now i’m gonna go do some searching maybe i put it back at the wool farm by accident

Oh my god there it is oh thank you oh that was gonna really scare me why would it be in that chest i don’t i guess i did open that one huh well there we go crisis averted everybody back to building coming back over the new spot though it

Is looking fantastic i’m so happy with this i decided to change the roof on the upper section into being some jungle just to have some variety and this is very spruce heavy covered on the warp wood so it doesn’t stand out all too much but i think it’s very cool i’ve got to

Finish the interior interior everything on the exterior is pretty much finished up and ready to go but i’ve got to just decorate everything down here i’ve started with some barrels and i got this place in as i mentioned previously well we’re looking for the pickaxe but a little kitchenette area over there

Gotta do a little front entry storage section and i think i’ll just turn this into a bedroom of sorts oh my gosh folks oh my gosh i’ve been spreading coarse dirt around here like crazy get in these pathways sort it out because i think it’s done i think this here build is done

It’s turned out really well decided to add a little bit of oak wood storage over here i know it should probably be jungle wood but you know the campfires they’re made out of oak wood so i decided to do that so that it actually blends in completely

Here in the front entryway we’ve got a nice little bush on top of a cactus and a flower pot we’ve got this little guy in there and actually i had forgot that i wanted to put a little bit of a fern inside of a flower pot right up here i

Want to go with so much greenery inside these places we got the armor standing there i guess i don’t really need that guy on the ground anymore so we can collect him back the kitchen is now finished up we’ve got a nice smoker over here with a little

Bit if you want to do some stove top cooking instead of over the giant open fire we’ve got the technology with the steam funky stuff so we got a black stone pipe headed on over there a little nice little kitchenette area in there we’ve got double bunk beds

Inside of this little bedroom area because i figured this would be more for the workers than anything if we want to build like a big ol something or another for the landowner out here i feel like we can do something bigger and better than this here house

But i’m dying on berry bushes so it’s fine i absolutely love this little rooftop area there’s so much stuff going on in here i think that carpet is just a perfect pop of color and it is looking fantastic one thing i want to do though is grab

Some more rockets throw on some shaders and see what it looks like down from turtle rock with that three two one and bam whoo that is looking fantastic those who have been asking recently in the videos i’ve been using the nostalgia shaders i think they’re so cool i love the clouds in them

And there’s a recent update i used to use these guys but they got very dark in the shadows but there’s an update to make it so you can make a few things a little bit brighter around the world but holy cow check this place out we’ve obviously got

To do all the terraforming along the front edge here but right now this is looking so good oh i’m so happy with this i’m so happy with this design here headed back to the city super fast and flying through this little cloud oh it’s so fun i love these things

Yay coming down here and i haven’t seen the city with these shaders on for a very very long time so maybe we take a little pop right here and oh it’s loaded in very slowly but it’s looking really cool from what we can see i want to grab some tall grass and some

Ferns and bone meal them up and see if we can add a little bit more pizzazz to that build it’s so bright and red in here just a few little details like the tall ferns and some tall grass all over this place i think could

Really nail it here and why not maybe we turn the double tall ferns into a little bit of a garden i’ve always loved the idea of creating fields out of these and oh i just made a lot of grass i did not want to that could be kind of a fun field design

That we could add around somewhere if we’re growing some sort of like a hemp or something like that i feel like the double tall ferns could do that there but wow this base is looking so much better i think we have to build like some sort of area here

Where we can look out over the water and monitor everything going on but whoo it’s good so far after adding a little bit more flair to our build over here with the banners and i got a few stone walls and actually got a whole pathway for ourselves move the

Shulker boxes down here so get a nice little screenshot of the build up there things are looking pretty fantastic i want to keep moving forward with this type of a stone wall around here i’ve still got to fix up a few areas of it but yeah we’re running pretty low on the

Stone resource so we’ll hold off on that one for a while my friends this build is absolutely amazing i’m so excited to be working on somewhere new i want to figure out ways we can incorporate the steampunk style into this type of architecture so any ideas you all have for that one please
