Magical Blaze Farm in HermitCraft!

Hello everyone this is impulse and welcome back to the hermit craft server oh yeah guys oh yeah another jam-packed episode lined up for you today I can’t wait we got so much to do as you can see my furnace array still doesn’t look very good but it has been functioning

Properly I’ve been able to get a ton of glass going and I’ve taken most of it at least three double chests worth all the way over to the gas farm all ready to be used tango and I are going to get together in a little bit and work more on the gas

Farm but first guys we got a little bit of a problem here because as you can see this chest right here is empty this comparator right here is off which isn’t good and that is because it needs blaze rods it needs blaze rods the the fuel that we

Chose to use is blaze rods which I still agree with I think these are great for smelting but we don’t have a readily supply of blaze rods right now the only blaze spawner or blaze farm on the server is a Zuma’s and it’s kind of like

His personal one right so he’s been I guess selling blaze rods to Biff and Biff has been selling blaze rods through his store and I went and bought some to fill this thing up and I spent a bunch of money on that my diamonds are running

Short now I don’t want to have to do that to keep this stocked I want my own blaze farm so that’s what we’re gonna do guys we are gonna get started on a blaze farm today which is going to be a fun project and then also later on I’m gonna get

Together with tango because we got more work to do on the ghast farm and hopefully we can get it to a functioning state today we’ll see there’s still a lot left to do on on it it’s a ginormous farm as you guys know but yeah so another jam-packed episode we got like

Dual projects going on but first things first we need to go find a blaze spawner and I’m gonna hopefully find one that’s fairly close alright guys so we are near a Zuma’s blaze spawner and I remember there being another blaze spawner nearby I just wanted to show you this it says

X’s personal blaze farm so as you can see by the sign this is not intended for public use so I’m not going to encroach on his farm of course and use it without his permission instead like I said we’re gonna make our own and I was able to find another one

Nearby check this out if we go up this ladder you’re going to see another blaze spawner just right here which is great I think that’s really close proximity to you know the nether hub and everything so we can make a nice cool tunnel to it and everything like that maybe I should

Get away so we don’t have any spawning happening but I got to clear the area out because we’re going to use a cool trick to make this blaze spawner function like really awesomely and we’re going to actually use the AI of the blaze and how they like to wander around

To get them into the killing chamber naturally so we’re not going to do all these you know crazy Pistons or anything like that we’re just going to have them wander into the killing chamber on their own and it’s going to have just bare minimal redstone just to crush them so

That we can kill them we’re going to use a cool game mechanic to do that where they look and they look for solid blocks to pathline – it was discovered by an EM bomb MC so I’ll leave a link to the video where he talks about it in the

Description of course but the first thing we need to do is actually clear out a ton of blocks like basically 15 blocks in all directions of this spawner so I need to get digging and of course it’s going to be fun with these guys trying to spawn and kill me the whole

Time so I might have to light it up and things like that so let me get this place secured and start digging it out and then I’ll come back and we’ll start building the farm up and I’ll show you how it’s all going to work alright so

The first step is now done I had to dig out this whole area it’s like a 31 by 31 by I don’t know is like 16 or 17 deep there and that did take a while you can see I did run into something I kind of

Knew I was going to run into but it is okay so the deal is what we’re trying to do is basically clear all the solid blocks out that would be in the detection radius of the blaze so that we can kind of force them to pick a

Direction now since I did run into this which show you what this is you guys will probably recognize this this is something mazuma built its I have a little drop down from the hub into how you get to his blaze farm and so that kind of is in this corner here

But that’s going to be just fine because I think we’ll actually use that of course these guys been bothering me the whole time too will actually use that to our advantage and we can build up solid blocks in this corner here and then the blaze will detect those solid blocks and

Head that way you can see I put a little hole in the the little glass cage there and that’s where I would expect the blaze to head if I was to take out all the light right now they should start to go in this general direction because the

Only solid blocks they’d be able to detect so they should wander naturally over here but we are going to make it a little bit better for them to pick up on the solid blocks by putting a whole bunch like right here in this corner and they should detect those quite easily

But yeah that was a lot of digging a lot of digging so yeah that’s going to be the next thing I do here is put a whole bunch of solid blocks I’m going to make the little drop shoot you know killing chamber deal there and then I think at

That point it might be able to take out some of these lights and we’ll see how that goes so all right let me get some blocks placed and I’ll show you exactly how that works and we’ve got a bunch of blocks here in the corner now which

Should lure the blaze over to that side and see I also built up a little bit of redstone here this is just snow crashes continuous mob crusher that’s going to work really well for when these guys actually fall down this drop shoot here and they’ll get crushed automatically

And then we can kill them right here got a hopper going into a chest here on the side of course I used stairs here we don’t want too many full blocks over here because again they could target those full blocks but there is a few that were necessary for this crusher to

Work but hopefully there’s enough here that’s going to lure them to that side anyway I think we’re going to be just fine and you can see here access to the chests for all the blaze rods so this should now work all that’s really left for us to do is kind of the difficult

Part and that is removing ooh if I could enter Pro correctly removing these blocks here these let me get full healthier before we do this we have to remove all these sea lanterns so that the light level comes down and these guys can actually spawn now this is

Going to be fun I have my fire resistant if I need it let me do this I’m actually gonna get a little bit more saturation in me in case I get hits there we go alright so I have my silk touch although it’s not going to

Matter I’m going to lose all these I think but let’s start with just these guys as you could tell I’m kind of nervous about this because I know they’re gonna start spawning immediately they’re gonna get aggro at me and things could go really bad for me here so let’s

Just try to get some of these going we’ll leave a little help there we go I don’t know if I should fight him or vice just keep going I guess I just keep going kind of wish I had picked a block that was easier to remove this is

Proving to be difficult already so far so good just a little one spawn but the more of these we take away the more spawns are gonna be of course and now there’s probably gonna be plenty after we got that whole side done there we go

Oh man ok so they fell down at least let’s see if we can get out of here without dying no no let’s just go over here for a second and let him come on out oh I do this is not gonna be easy all right yeah they’re all mad they’re all mad now

And let’s get this guy and then we’re getting there were getting there few more to get don’t break the spotter that would be a tragedy and huge tragedy Oh alright and there we go I’m half tempted to get in there and get those but I’m

Not gonna do it alright so what we need to do is actually get these aggro guys out of there they’re just gonna keep a growing new blaze and we don’t want that so let’s see if we can get rid of all of them oh man here we go if we can get rid

Of all of oh okay just gonna work let’s just do this let’s just leave leave the area let him despawn oh good oh I hate dealing with blaze okay hopefully we’ll go far enough away that they can do spawn let’s just take a quick little

Break here and then we’ll go test it all right what do you think I think they’re gone we’ll go find out all right and hopefully we can test the crusher and everything now there’s still some in there still mad all right he was actually out of the system wasn’t he

Okay now you’re still still ones in there that are mad yeah don’t don’t tell your buddies oh man this is difficult I had a feeling this is gonna go about like this it’s that whole seat it’s that whole social spawning thing all right let me go far enough away so that those

Guys are definitely gone and then I’ll come back when I know they are for sure all right there we go I think it’s working now look at this these guys are definitely wandering over to the chamber does take a little bit of time but then look there he goes into

The chamber these guys should be one-hit kill boom I did closed myself in here because I realized there could be other blaze spawning on this nether bridge here because we are in a fortress and if they do that they could shoot at me get mad and then aggro these guys as well which

Is gonna pee real bad this is super loud let me turn this down a little bit so that we can we can talk about what’s happening here um so yeah you can see these guys just they they come down and then they just kind of start wandering over to the corner naturally because

They’re finding blocks to to head towards so no Pistons pushing them super easy I got my looting sword I can just stand here all day it’s gonna repair itself which is nice and because it’s a spawner it’s not like we’re gonna fill up a mob cap or anything the spawner is

Gonna keep going no matter how many blades are sitting in there and eventually they’re gonna work their way over you can see this guy even he was sitting over there for a while he finally decided to travel over this is super cool super cool I had no idea that

You could make a blaze farm without piston pushers and all the craziness so named bomb MC you are the man this is awesome I love using AI of the game against them in mob chaps like this this is incredible and look how fast it is guys this is

Super fast and let’s see we’ve probably already got some some blaze rods in there I don’t think I can get to it from from here I think we might be okay if we just take this block out real quick so we can access a chest there we go

Kind of little add-ons we can do to it and what kind of modifications yeah I’m good yeah we could make this thing a dual-purpose and all sorts of cool yeah yeah here we go but you said you wanted the guests here yeah I got it

Now the final farm does it it does not use or does it yeah it does have a little bit of translocation happening so like it it’s gonna sweep the gas off to the side and then it like translocates them to a single holding cell and oh

Jeez and yeah that’s going to be broken when it comes to 1.11 but Oh mango did post a fix for that so once the server gets updated we’ll just have to come in here and kind of bring it over bring all that new tech over and it won’t take

Long to convert it I think and well we’ll improvise you as well exactly what I mean I don’t know when we’re honestly going to 111 it’s probably to be at least a couple weeks so we’re just gonna build the 1.10 way get truckloads of gas tears and then
