Magical Mischief Tour: Pt1 Pre-alpha Server testing (stream)

Welcome to the mischief i’m valen and we’re here today um doing some pre-alpha testing of there she is of the uh magical mischief tour mod pack um it’s able to after many hours get this modpack onto a server uh instead of lan so if if this all holds up today for

Us doing like a little server test because i also pre-gender a whole bunch of chunks then we will likely open it up to our um modpack workers patrons and stuff so they can like mess around with it and see what needs fixing hopefully but yeah it’s pretty spawn hi everybody how you doing

It is just after 10 p.m el niris yes yep we got sweet berries berry berries even better we can sneak through the berry bushes without taking damage oh yeah so when the berries land in the bush you could still sneak in and get them or not

Ow i gotta keep a bunch of these um so how’s everybody doing tonight what’s the time in our place pretty spawn a bunch of us nuts on the server to see what we already well i mean everything’s pretty much broken it’s just a matter of because there’s so many configs that we

Have yet to do but um it’s a matter of what do we need what don’t we need things that we need to remove um and some of them i i we did i i did a lot of world gen tweaking with the caves and stuff before

I could get it the way that i wanted it and it’s still not a hundred percent there but i think it’s it’s very doable where it is so i guess we’ll see are you hiding oh i was just looking around i found this this sauce berry thing and it had

These purple berries on oh and should i eat the purple berries [Laughter] we’re doing okay we’re both a bit tired tonight actually yeah i have to admit yeah ow it prickles it it feels like burning does it have a use um light snack and you can also use it in a brewing

Station to make a potion of mannery jen okay that’s fair enough holly berries and vacuums sweet berries oh i’ve got holly berries but they make me hungry hold on no they give me poison for 10 seconds that’s all that what no i don’t want those those are terrible don’t eat those don’t

Eat holly berries they’re bad they’re very bad supposed to sit on the bush valen yes i don’t know they looked like sweet berries they just yeah i mean but they’re very realistic i guess in that aspect uh so it is entirely possible we may be joined

By uh the zone callisto uh we invited them to try and uh help us out with the initial testing so that we could see if we could open this up to more of our patron crew and they said that they’re interested what are you doing don’t just don’t look okay okay not looking

And they look like sweet berries that’s not good but they look so tasty but indeed yeah that’s not great yeah do you see this like the holy berries and the sweet berries are the exact same texture this is what i discovered and why i ate one and regretted it

Really why you ate it because you thought it was a sweet berry or i thought that it gave me hunger with the the green outline that it had that was similar to rotten flesh you know a chance of hunger can we use these holy barriers

I don’t know i looked and it’s we can enchant them with something but that’s about it you know basically basically basically uh so let’s see if i was gonna keep going a little bit i wanted to harvest the rest of this tree i can’t i can’t leave it like this yeah

I’d say you need to beat spelunky one before even attempting two spelunky two is much harder it’s like one is a tutorial in game form okay fair enough i just found more coal which is what i’m going to need because the caves underneath the ground are tremendous as i think koshka found out

Server that’s that that’s the idea here oh there are like a bunch of arsenal trees down here and they are very bright yes they are they don’t worry that there’s just the occasional one and two in a biome you know yeah yeah so they’re not like super overwhelming that’s cool

I’m trying to find like a biome that isn’t snow well we’re kind of in a cold area so i’m noticing we might say we’re in a biome with no snow mm-hmm that’s true yep and we could just try exploring because i finding out if we can uh get some tetra

Stuff underground because it’s it seems to be a cold enough area they should spawn the tetra structures should spawn in the cold areas oh yeah is that the that’s the deal i mean i’m just thinking of making making use of the the spawn we have you know that’s all gotcha

So you should stick around that spawn and build there is that what you think um i mean sure i’m looking around and it looks pretty cold in all directions and if you went southeast and you’re not finding anything almost now okay then we probably have to go

Right click on you can’t just right click on the berry but i did right click and then the berries drop on the ground if they don’t go into your inventory like in all of modded minecraft vanilla says no [Laughter] but you can plant these and get more berries um and we can also

Probably make a little garden and stuff just to start growing some food and then maybe these sheep will actually regrow some of their wool i was actually thinking um are you thinking about like a an easy way for an early bob farm with berry bushes

I have i think i’ve got enough once i get this sheep to um there we go we’ve got enough for beds or sleeping bags whichever way prefer now it has 14 wool bigger rabbit hitboxes infernal expansions looking really interesting with axes mobs are recommended reducing spawn chance bone serpents

Short of the previous two rerolls that we did where we were just in deserts um there’s a ton of really beautiful biomes in this pack apparently the uh the beatles attack they do the really big ones oh yeah the big ones yup you can tame them though if you’re

You have the right stuff actually i have one of the things that might work let me see if he’ll get if we get lucky and he gets tamed with one one apple nope no luck but we can you can actually ride those guys and put chests on us chests on them and stuff

That’s awesome what mod is that nature’s compass is in here that is uh druids druid druidcraft yes druidcraft look at these little orange glowy things uh i think that’s part of elemental craft is it like just an orb floating in the sky in the air yeah yeah elemental craft which is kind of

Like a a magitechi mod it’s got some supplies simplicity to it i don’t know it so much yet so we need to test to find out if it’s even worth pursuing in the pack otherwise we can just remove does this rocky stone actually work like cooked stone

Uh it works in place of most cobble i thought but maybe it was as good as other stuff oh there’s one of those source berries cashew was talking about oh i found a cave entrance okay i think we got a spot then it’s right right here which isn’t too far from the

Sheep or the um the dudes the little beetle over there uh so i can plant a whole bunch of these berry bushes so is this our home then uh yes how do i plant these berry bushes ours nouveau um source battery things because there’s one that’s like right on the way down in

Of great power nice does this have occultism in it so you can use the massive storage device it has uh yes truetech it does and drutech brings up a good point uh we have a a magical inventory system in here that basically is the the main focus of

The occultism mod in my mind but it is similar to refined storage or applied energistics 2 but magic and without tons of like automation type stuff it’s more like an expandable storage that you can access from any dimension i have not played pixelmon before i’ve seen some others play it though so there

Is a village to um oh the south oh callisto there’s a village i know we should just go live there we could you guys just want to we just grab a few materials here and then head south and go there i’ve gotta bring some stone blocking the villagers

Artificially to an extent to kind of get um an idea of things more rapidly um wrote it out there probably more along the lines of what we would be testing later on right now i just want to see how we do with just starting off you know okay yeah sure

If you’re not familiar with you probably started with a bunch of books by the way i did and i almost thought i crashed the game when i uh tried to open one but it turns out it just halts everything uh your inability to just do anything at all and um

You can’t move or type yeah pretty much so um so i i was like val and there’s a bug in the pack already it’s been been 10 seconds to get in there and then i was like no i got to try other things first so the

Akashic tome is actually a book of books you store books in it yep i’m familiar with the akashic tome well i’m familiar with older older uh versions of it that don’t do what this did gotcha well you have to craft it with your other books and then it will

Store them in it and then when you right click it you can you’ll see why it looks like it’s pausing your world when in fact it’s not right uh but yeah it can be a bit confusing if because i even paused my world with it

When i did that one of those times and i’m like what the oh right okay never mind hey robin we’re leaving now uh i guess so kashka i don’t know where you where it is that you found this village sorry south okay well then south it is i’m just

Trying to find the end of the snow oh and i see food bushes i’m gonna grab a bunch of this food along the way damn it they just planted a fluffy bear brush and look out in a hole yeah it’s weird i put in the mod that makes it so you don’t accidentally

Plant berry bushes regular sweet berry bushes but the problem is now i don’t know how to actually plant the berry bushes oh these trees are so beautiful yeah that’s part of ours nouveau and i see um so i ran south right looking for like oh that’s cool oh yeah that’s actually really creepy

So i’m standing on ice and it’s making ice cracking noises yeah dynamic surroundings can mess with you i found um remember those like oh god what is that mod that makes the the dungeons and some of them are like water spheres dungeon crawl yeah oh there’s i think that’s some dungeon crawl

Spheres down here oh gotcha so try doing a double jump while pressing against a wall and you should do a wall cling and a jump off of it so like you’re just pressing towards it like this tree for instance just press towards it and try doing a double jump

Nice nice so that is your wall jump it’s i’ve reassigned it and rebound it to the space bar to make it a little easier to work with yeah i noticed that because i i couldn’t take it being on but i did switch your sprints to or my sprint to uh

Toggle instead of uh oh gotcha that’s a good idea too maybe i should head back the freezing thing oh hold on come here sheepy i’ve got some shears i’m gonna add lights oh crap where’d you go uh we’re at the river edge so if you come to the river and just

Actually we’re at where the river meets two other rivers oh how far did you uh i’m the longer river we haven’t crossed a river but we’re at the southest the most southern point of the landmass we were on go west go west however i see you yeah which actually we need to go

Missed that nice with mulberries all right callisto let’s see what we can salvage in this town if you find a chest that is like gold embellished i already did okay those are looter chests they replace vanilla loot chests and everybody can get loot from them because as long as you don’t break them

Which you can try i almost did which you can try but then it will tell you you can’t break this unless you sneak while trying to where did you find it callisto up on the hill in one of the houses iron up on the hill in one of the houses so

Going up a hill nope uh the other go west okay i go up the hill yeah up here that hill okay i don’t see a house on it yet but it’s back a little ways koshka see this this is from jelly fishing i know i didn’t realize that it changed the uh

Oh there’s a blast furnace kind of wow nice what this biome is i found some apples strawberries potatoes whoa okay i like this bile all right did you find our new home oh i don’t know whoa what is that is it a cold buy on kashka

Yeah i mean like i said it’s just all cold i think i found an ice crystal or a crystal cave as well i can see it through the ice nice i’m just gathering food supplies oh sorry puffer oh oh oh sorry puffer no no i was digging the straw and it got in

Front of me bad popper wow there’s a lot of beds here cool the music can you find the biome to be hideous oh yeah oh no kids well you can turn you can just turn music down there’s different songs there’s actually one that’s quite nice and peaceful

Wow there’s three bounty boards in here that’s pretty good considering my last run i didn’t find any all right i’m taking a bed i found an extra um iron chest plate i i found one too but thank you i’ll take one okay i can just get through this shot and place your bio
