Oh no your minecraft skin is probably pretty awesome but let me tell you making it glow it’s gonna be 10 times cooler Today i’m going to show you guys how to use the custom player models mod to make your eyes or pretty much any part of your body glow and just make your skin way cooler as a disclaimer this video isn’t really a guide on how to install The mod but just how to use it so if you need help installing it i’ll link the video in the description just for that also this moves a little fast so feel free to pause whenever you need to hope you guys enjoy all right all right let’s Get started so first thing you’re going to want to do locate your skin file i just have it stored inside this little pictures folder um locate your skin you’re going to right click it then you’re going to click open with and then you’re going to go to paint 3d it should Come pre-installed but you can use any other software like paint or your favorite photo editing app will work fine i’m just gonna use paint 3d because it comes built-in with windows so i’m going to open paint 3d we’re going to head over to canvas i’m going to zoom in a little Bit make things easier you’re going to click lock aspect ratio over here and then you’re just going to drag that out until it hits 128 so we’re almost there then we got 128 on both of these it’s going to go back and you’re going to click save there you go first Step complete and then you’re going to open up minecraft you’re going to the top left click open skin editor there we are we got a little skin here so first thing you’re going to do is you’re going to click uh edit tools convert vanilla parts and what you’re going to do next Is going to click skin settings you’re going to change both of these numbers to 128 like what we just said our picture at and click open skin uh you’re going to click these three dots right here and then you’re going to search through here to find your skin so obviously Mine’s in pictures and then my skins folder and boom here’s the skin right here so we’re going to open that and then back in minecraft you can see my skin is highlighted right here i’m just going to click okay and then boom the skin is loaded so now that we have Our skin loaded in what we’re going to want to do is sort of the texture we’re going to click the pencil we’re gonna change this to black set it all the way to black and then we’re going to overwrite my entire eye with black and any parts that you want to make glow Just overwrite them with black so i’m also gonna do this strip of my arm right here i want to make this glow so there we go now both of these are black including the eye this will work for just two pixel wide eyes as well because I know a lot of you are going to have that just make it two pixels instead of before obviously next what you’re going to do is you’re going to recreate your eye in a different spot so i’m just going to find a purple color because That’s what my eye was so i’ll do like right around there and then you’re just gonna do anywhere on your screen i’ll just do it like right here so two for uh two pixels for that part of the eye then grab a white then two pixels for the Other part of the eye and then we’re gonna do um i also wanna make my arm glow so i’m gonna just grab a light blue right here gonna make it a little bit darker because it’ll be super bright when it glows with a shader so there we Go um and then i’m just gonna make two really long strips here doesn’t matter quick pause i’m gonna be making a lot more videos like this one one of them being on how to make your own custom cosmetic items like that one in the first footage so make sure to subscribe So you get notified when that video comes out there how long they are because um it’ll just overlap anyways and there we go we got the part for my arm and we got the part for my i’m gonna head back over to the model and then i’m Gonna start off with the head so you’re gonna click head right here click this and then you’re going to click dupe right click it and then you’re going to click duplicate there we go we have two parts of this so on your duplicated part You are going to go down to this area so this is where you actually manipulate the texture for the head so as you can see i can move it around and that changes the head on the texture due to where it is um on this little picture Right here so you could do this manually or i’m just going to set it to let’s say 60 is probably a good spot and then you just keep manipulating these until they highlight over there so it’s pretty close but um you’re gonna want to micromanage it and just make sure it’s Right in the right spot you’re going to want to get your eye on this little blue square but it should pop up there we go as you can see the eye is now on my skin so i’m just going to move it until it is directly where my eyes should be so There we go now the eye is in the right spot you can see it looks like this and here’s the part where you actually make it glow we’re going to make sure head is highlighted we’re going to click effects and we’re going to click glowing eyes Right here and there you go now your eyes are glowing and then for my arm because that’s what i want to do as well i’m going to click right arm right here once again we’re going to click duplicate you can see our highlighted boxes are right here so once again i’m Just going to set these to like let’s go with like 90 that seems good and then we’ll go with like 10. there you go it’s pretty much already on there but as you can see it’s not it’s not perfectly on because the black lines are right there so i’m just going To move this until it’s right in the right spot and there we go now that’s in the right spot and once again effects glowing eyes perfect and you can do this with as many you can do this whole process with as many parts your body as you want say i Wanted to do it with this c and the l i would just repeat the process make the c and the l black and then just duplicate the body part and then just move it over so before you save you’re going to want to make sure to enable your second layer If you have like an overlapping helmet or like hair or some effect so how you can do that is edit tools add second layer make sure to do that your skin’s not going to look right and there we go now my hair is back now i have all my Fire effects and my jacket and my hood and all that stuff because you don’t want to not have that obviously so now to save i’m just going to click save right here uh it’s going to tell you to save your project click these buttons again um what i would recommend you do Is do what i did um just go to your pictures then create a little skin folder you can just by right clicking new folder and then skins i’m not gonna do that because um i already have one but yeah just do that and then you can Store all the skins in here this is one i already made i’m just gonna call this um test for now you can name it whatever you want i’m just going to click save in that folder and then you’re going to head back over to minecraft as you can Tell this is called test so we’re all good i’m just going to click ok and then boom it’s saved all right and then we’re going to do is just going to click file test in game and then just load up any single firework i’m just going to load up this one for example And then hopefully if we did everything right uh our eyes and our arms should be glowing so let’s see look at that fantastic so our arm is now glowing and the eye is glowing it it looks pretty damn cool now how can i actually use this in-game Instead of just this test area so you’re going to want to back out obviously then what you’re going to want to do is you’re going to want to click file you’re going to want to click export and then don’t mess with any of this this is all confusing just click export and Upload right here click ok don’t worry about this message and then you’re just going to copy this right here click the link in the description it looks just like this head over here uh you’re gonna have to make an account i already did that so obviously i’m not gonna make another Account just make an account on login it takes like two seconds but then once you’re logged in and you click this link um this screen’s gonna pop up the description doesn’t really matter i’m just gonna call it test again because why not and then with that thing you Copied earlier just paste that into here fantastic it’s it’s really long um it’s wow it’s it’s really long um i did okay that’s that’s fine uh you’re just gonna click create secrets create secret gist right here and then boom you got your whole you got this Whole link up here just copy this whole shebang we’re gonna head back over to minecraft and then just paste that in right to here and then fantastic look we got our whole thing set up just going to click okay all right and then you’re just going to click save skin file once This pops up and then what we’re going to do is we’re just going to click these three dots again and then find your skin file one more time so i’m going to head over to pictures and then my skins file and what you’re going to want to do here is just Type this in anything i’m just going to call it test again fan fantastic i’m just going to click save and then and i know it works because test is written right here and it’s in my skins folder so i’m just going to click ok boom there we go now We’re done in minecraft so then you’re going to head back over to your desktop so what you’re going to have to do now is reapply your skin click new skin i’m going to click browse then boom test is right here we’re going to open that up i’m just going to name this Real real original i’m going to click save and use fantastic applying a skin look at that then we’re just gonna click play go back into your game and everything should be working by now so just to prove that this works we’re gonna click multiplayer hop on high Pixel and moment of truth ladies and gentlemen whoa what a surprise it works fall asleep we got the glowing arm we got the glowing eye it’s fantastic but you know what would make it even more fantastic if i showed you guys how to get these little cosmetics See you guys in the next video Video Information
