Document the whole construction process of the area right so we’re going to do this this is the original area and then this is what it looked like with all the trees removed and I guess that’s all grass showing up on the map which is kind of neat

Uh so next thing we’re going to do is we’re going to make a giant flat green area I also like that it shows uh the beacons right so now we get here and the next stage is going to be this whole area flattened and we’re going to do a fourth one which

I don’t think we’re gonna do all of it today you know what maybe we just do the whole and the frame on the outside and that gives anybody else who might want to help clear indication of where we’re going also I think we might use more dirt than grass

And we’re going to be using this for all the Birch that we need which I haven’t actually done the math for but this is a farm that I’ve kind of always wanted to make anyways and so this is kind of cool so I believe the way a lot of those

Pistons at the top work is you grow the tree and then all the Pistons fire and they smush all of the leaves and then the Piston at the back pushes the log out so what it does is it like the tree grows and then it’s smushed and then it’s forced out

Um which is really only um an issue for something like the super-sized oak trees because Birch and Birch and Spruce are like fairly consistent they they have like variable height but aren’t too too bad I don’t know I think this is fine let’s just check the comments really quickly

Anything that we need to worry about Redstone except for those who cannot grow spruce your tutorials are great really appreciate if you explain the basic idea behind the Redstone oh um foreign oh interesting well we’re not we don’t have to worry about that cool important bit for a snerge restart if

Them to throw to each other and the other you just make sure their inventory is full foreign the only thing I’m going to duplicate is the TNT I don’t I don’t ever want to use like Minecraft exploits to duplicate actual items just not me if you possibly combined this new Farm

To make a pig containment and fruit collector making the tree farm into a pineapple pen um Oh you mean make a TNT duping machine to like mine yeah we can make the tunnel bar that’d be fair hey uh the other half of this go follow James James digs holes

My other tab but I’m just kind of chilling on the computer but I watched a lot of twitch on mobile and it’s fine don’t necessarily engage with Clips or was out of context and if I could watch click up I’m probably gonna watch the whole stream anyways that’s fair Clips

Are really really really handy though for highlights and highlights do pretty great people tend to really enjoy highlights um so like even if you don’t watch them individually like clipping moments clipping moments and letting me turn them into compilations is big big foreign one wall two levers

Following section is tough they show me recommended streams I don’t follow on the app before even the other ones so I don’t know I feel let’s kind of lose lose for twitch at that point because they get a lot of criticism for having zero discoverability sorry

I’ve lost track of what I was walking over here for uh temporary blocks right they get a lot of criticism for like zero discoverability which is fair right um and an interesting thing about twitch is let’s say one of like the big big streamers goes offline and you know they

Got like 25 000 people watching them when they go offline those 25 000 people don’t percolate they don’t distribute themselves throughout twitch like that doesn’t mean that there’s now 25 000 people that are going to go and find another couple other channels that go like so many people hop on Twitch just

To watch the streamer they’re already looking for which is like Sarah saying you know just the follower they only care on come on they look for the follower and then they leave when that’s done um and so that’s bad if you’re a smaller streamer and you’re trying to grow

Um and that’s bad even if you’re like a mid-sized streamer and you want to get like new organic Discovery and stuff onto your channel because it’s not it’s not like um it’s not like cable like very few people are loyal to the brand and want to see

What’s on like they kind of just they tune in when their person is streaming um and then when their person is not streaming they turn off and so how do you how do you change that behavior how do you get more people to check out more channels without making it so disruptive

That people just leave Twitch in total right because you know if you had too many friction points you’re like ah this is stupid and you just leave so right I think what I’m trying I don’t know am I trying to give a little bit of empathy

Here am I trying to get a little context I’m not sure twitch had experimental followed channels ordering feature briefly well another thing that they’re trying to get rid of is um so often when you’re searching for something it shows the biggest Channel first right and that kind of leads to

Sort of a like a rich gets richer sort of thing right like oh this person already has 10 000 views I should also watch them and the people at the bottom are just like hello uh and and you know if you’re a new streamer and you’re getting started off

And you have to Wade through 10 000 channels that are like one to five viewers what’s going to set you up between anyone else so like changing the ordering of of suggested channels uh promoting smaller communities for you um right switching that up it’s it’s tough because then it just creates friction

And also people hate change like ah my app looks different spawned all from this conversation I’m not trying to throw you on the bus my app looks different how dare they change anything right I don’t know I don’t know what the answer is they’re loyal to the person or brand not

The platform no for sure right that’s why I love it when big streamers write new streamers sure and like that helps a little bit but it doesn’t I don’t want to say there are institutional there are platform specific issues and it’s tough right like obviously it’s great if a small if

A bigger streamer can help a smaller streamer but at the same time if the platform doesn’t help then how are they ever going to make it the recommended is always folks you don’t want to go near the recommended is often really really big streamers right sorry I brought it up we got sidetracked

You know the biggest dreams I watch Are The Lure pprs what about desert bus it’s a big that’s a big stream with a big chat I don’t know where am I going the S stands for surge can’t sub to Desert bus so it doesn’t count oh okay I don’t know

And the house is like 40 years old and we go to close the porch door and the door doesn’t close like it gets stuck and basically the house is old enough that the door frame shifted uh like the wood warped and the door wouldn’t close

And me you know I live in an apartment in a like a res in a like Urban men’s Urban environment I’m like oh no the door doesn’t close I guess we have to hire a contractor to fix it my dad’s like what no no eyes one hip he goes down to the

Garage and grabs like this huge blade I think it’s called like a lathe or something like that because he’s also an amateur woodworker and all this sandpaper and he’s just like I got it and just like field strips a plane pardon me field strips like the

The siding off it the trim off of everything and then like hobbles and goes down on his side and just starts like it just starts shaving down the side of this I’m like Jesus dad no like you can’t see and you’ve got one leg

Like just let me do it I don’t know what I’m doing but please like I don’t know if you’re physically capable of doing this and yeah this just very this very um like rural mentality of I mean if I don’t do it literally no one else is here who can oh my God

Off switch for the farm Oh this is the on off lever for the farm look at that what I tell you chat genius add a dirt block on top of the piston on the glass place a dropper facing up um I wonder if I actually need a dirt block there if that’s another temporary one I

Don’t know find out I’ll grab one dirt block big brain Jaeger well I’d hope that after 3 000 hours I’d have some idea of what I’m looking at uh so where do I put it on top of the Piston put a dirt block and on the glass put a dropper facing up

All right on the glass put a dropper facing up place a dropper facing the first dropper and another dropper behind that I should probably watch more than you know one block at a time but here we are then add three Hoppers going into the droppers one two three I like that okay

So it was like this and then like this um and then I don’t really think it matters which direction the other Hopper goes well let’s get it right just in case so it’s into that into that and into that side yeah all right place a double chest on top of the Hoppers

Still have no idea what I’m doing in Minecraft I’ve yet to ever beat the game part of me is kind of wanting to go into creative to give me the stuff I need to get to the end which I’ve never been to or even to the dungeon to the end portal

Um it a lot of fun uh just to know Stakes I don’t even want to say like um try and speed run it but like if you’ve seen on nine o’clock we’ve done time and time again just start a world with the only goal is to beat the dragon right

Like don’t make a base don’t do anything just be like okay what do I need to do and you’re like a little bit of time in the Overworld collect pearls get to the nether uh kill blazes throw the eyes kill the dragon and if that’s your only

Goal that can be really fascinating and some of the challenge runs that we’ve done for nine o’clock have been amazing just for learning different parts of the game that aren’t just sort of the building the survival portion right place a dispenser above the dropper facing the grass what’s up Nike uh

Then an observer facing away from the dispenser okay into that side and a no block behind that all right so we want the Note Block in another Observer that’s what we’re getting rid of some of these one-ofs uh no where did The Observer go should be like this there we go

All right pick a bunch of these blocks so we go up two one two one two yeah two four six what’s up Snack Pack you kind of want to beat it legit and get an elytra and be able to fly around and explore yeah let’s go to the point

Missouri right like because you can you can beat the game without needing to build a whole base right yeah and again if you’re saying you’d want to beat it legit like if you just set up with your goal to do that you know don’t worry about setting up food

I don’t know um there there are a lot of there are a lot of times that we’ve done just sort of like what’s the what’s the bare minimum that you need to get to the end and kill stuff or and defeat the dragon right like just

Learning what you need for that kind of takes a lot of the fear out of it and can let you run in yeah wish there’s a way to get the end on Peaceful without cheats I mean I’ve loved watching Cam and his vegetarian runs right Do no harm how do we

How do we play this game and not Scar the Earth um what in the world what am I oh right this is the water stream we need the two stairs up there and we need two sources of water all right uh first things first I feel like you need to get stuff

Together to be able to prepare for it no fair honestly like one of the big things that we really try and stress in this community is there’s no wrong way to play Minecraft um and it’s like not helpful for me like don’t worry don’t over stress it you know it is what

It is because obviously like this is coming from the point of view of somebody who’s beating the game Timeless amount of times but yeah setting that as the goal as opposed to uh as opposed to an obstacle I think is a good way to frame it you know

Because yeah if you don’t I don’t know if you if you feel as though it’s a challenge and there’s something to lose uh I think that’s a lot more challenging than if you just like the whole the whole scale the whole purpose of this is just to

So I don’t know I don’t know if you know this weird little interaction so if you place the door like this and you’re in a hard bore hard mode this is technically the open position and this is the closed position and uh zombies in hard mode

Can’t break down an open door but they can break a closed door so this will keep you safe whereas there’s a very small minuscule chance that zombies could break down the door in the other direction and kill you while you’re AFK ain’t at the farm just if you’re curious

Just in case you’re curious place four building blocks like this one two three four okay how does that work yeah all right so again to show a demo in a different orientation so that’s a closed door and that’s an open door right that’s a closed door and that’s an Open Door

Right so this is the this is the default position of one this is the default position of the other uh in hard mode on Minecraft you know you’ve seen like zombies will punch on doors before and they’ll like that again so zombies can break closed doors zombies can’t break open doors

So in this scenario this door is open and this door is open so they’ll walk through this door but they see this as an open door so they can’t walk through it because it’s physically in the way but they can’t punch it because it’s not closed you know just Minecraft things you know

Zombies are programmed to attack doors that have the close flag yeah laughs ah man sometimes I love Minecraft it’s like the smallest teeniest tiniest optimization ever why do I put water in here you know what I’m just gonna stop asking questions like I know what’s happening so that’s there like that

Oh that’s kind of cool so you stand in the water stream and everything pushes towards you that’s so Random okay then we put one sign there and we want the other bucket of water all right so this is for our head so we don’t die and we put another bucket of water in

This stair that’s why that’s there so my assumption is this catches all of the saplings and kind of and kind of just pushes them into you yeah it’s absolutely what’s happening there already 99 of Minecraft exploits just oh my God I can’t believe it works that way kind of

I mean sometimes they’re like this doesn’t make any sense but Minecraft players have become so habituated to expecting it to work that way that if they tried to change it there’d be this huge public outcry laughs and two Redstone Dust diagonally and then a torch okay so we want to do

Wait to get to the part about how the TNT is duplicated yeah no kidding right uh place a single Redstone Dust there then a repeater tick tick that’s weird I don’t know I don’t know if I like that shape that makes more sense now I was like wait a second this doesn’t

Make any sense yeah this is a TNT duper we’re not putting the the same into it over and over oh this is kind of cool because it’s glass uh the Redstone line connects out of it very cool uh place two building blocks diagonally Juju all right so from underneath where the door is

And then the Pistons are pushing all the tree forward and then as it extends out the TNT is coming down and it is blowing up it is destroying some of the wood but that’s okay it is infinite [Laughter] that is cool as a heck here you go
