Wall facing north face the wall sink south you get the idea it makes a nifty little fence just like that experiment with stair blocks and you can’t go wrong you gotta know how to use them some people don’t know how to do this little shape here if they’re kind of newish to

Minecraft the secret is to place one block turn 90 degrees place another block and turn 90 degrees all four directions north east south and west and you will get this done no problems whatsoever bish bash bosh and you’ve got yourself some columns going on loving it but here’s a few more

Examples of getting good with the stairs this cheeky little shelf design is actually a little bit sneaky upside down stair blocks trying to copy that shelf not so easy unless you know the secret place one upside down facing out from the wall destroy the wall behind it and if you

Select some stair blocks of the same type as the wall in this case sandstone then it makes a sidey own stair and there you go you’ve got some nifty little shelves challenge your friends to make them they’ll be standing there for ages but don’t let them see behind it otherwise i’ll know

How to do it there we go sideways and then facing back the way and you have created yourself a nifty little shelf i am loving it very pretty indeed what about some more detail with stair blocks did you know that stair blocks can do this watch this this bit is easy

When all the magic happens around here facing there and then facing the back and all these little strange indentations happen show you that again facing sideways facing the back and when we come around the outside look at the detail isn’t that weird it can happen along the top as well but

This could look good maybe in a medieval build a castle something like that you never know i did it on a town hall boom shack alum and you’ve got yourself the world supply of detail awesome now uh something a bit simpler two stair blocks the right way up and

Then two stair blocks upside down embedded in the same color brick gives you that little bit of relief and detail i’ve used that in tudor builds or mock tudor or edwardian houses and this birch wood here using the same idea as i did on the the magic shelves

Simply create a little bit of detail you could use it in a modern build why not hey don’t forget you can use stairs as stairs in this little staircase in mjr glory’s house looks pretty special to me i’m loving how he’s put two stairs on top of each other to make

That little balustrade or uh balcony detailing i think that’s upside down mgr yep there he goes he’s fixed it and let’s have a closer look see what he has done pretty simple little banister design i’ve never seen that before absolutely loving it and here’s a castle by boyboy8810

Master builder look at all the stairs he has used and i thought i’d simply with my shaders mod and little white outline show you what he has done with more stair blocks and you can shake a stick at but this georgian house i think you’ll agree that he has built is extra special

Three which go hand in hand connected textures and depth and yoda is having a big old wince there are some problems with this little modern house and the first one is the connected textures you can see here you’ve got two textures that are butting up against each other now the little uh

Indentation with the garden in the middle looks okay bit of depth in there but the connected textures have kind of spoiled this a little bit and made us go can we improve it so we want to avoid connected textures and use depth now this start of a medieval house here has lots

Of connected textures textures are right next to each other so what we can do is move this wood back these wooden planks back by one block and we’ll let little yoda do it for us and that stops the connected textures that stops the wood connecting onto the logs

And by moving it back it creates depth so it’s just simply walls at different distances from you as the observer on the front makes the depth now the white wool on this is connected as well so by bringing out these logs here it again reseeds the white back and

Creates some depth in the build you can also use little bits of detailing like your little yoda is flying about the place putting on these stairs and that can actually stop textures being connected as well what you don’t want to do is overdo the detail too much let’s put some um

Trapdoors on and i think that should probably do it there i don’t know if yoda puts on he might be going a bit too far with this detail but never mind you get the idea no connected textures and oh that really is too much detail anyway we are gonna run with it

Putting on some more walls putting on some bushies slapping a roof onto this bad boy and you’ve got yourself a decent medieval house and i tell you what there’s no connected textures and we use lots of depth look at this flat boring white wall in a modern house this time

It’s very easy to add depth some bricks some wood we’ve got all sorts of different interesting lines and levels for the eye to catch gotta avoid connected textures it doesn’t look good i hate it use some depth here’s another little modern house quick glimpse of all that extra depth and different

Levels right tip four we want to avoid the ceilings being the same as walls this is something i see a lot of pictures sent in to me hmm just doesn’t look so cool we’ve recreated this so we can change it have a look at the ceiling at top i know it’s

A bit dark but just changing it into white wool has already made this room a lot lot better we’ll bring in little yoda here and he’s changed the wall to an accent color same as the bed and using our rule three i think it was for depth we’re actually gonna

Carve out some little shelves in this wall and that just creates interest and detail and depth and since this room is so dark another sneaky tip we are going to stick a light in the bed cover up the carpet and that room looks i hope you agree a whole bunch better over to

Another master builder from the world of corrales this is by a builder called sometime and different elevations is what we’re talking about so sinking his living room down by one block just indicates a change of use of the room and it makes it much more interesting jags on my server here

Has created all sorts of different rooms all different elevations and levels so we were talking about it on server and someone pointed out gogo he said this house has no elevation it’s all flat and i was like okay let’s see but like a right spanner i fell into his trap

Because when you see when i tpa to him on my server he tp’s me to my own let’s build this is a let’s build modern house and there’s no elevations looks like i know what i’m doing in the next episode but hopefully this has helped you guys
