I played 100 days in minecraft super flat but there are no villages you should be asking one question why why would i choose to do such a brutal challenge there’s no way to get wood you might think well what about saplings from wandering traitors i can’t get emeralds What about curing a zombie villager i can’t get an apple because there are no trees there are no beds no torches no furnaces but i did give myself a few things to make this challenge a little easier first i raised ground level so that slimes don’t spawn I gave myself a single crafting table and i turned off phantoms also i started the world in 1.18 but updated to a 1.19 pre-release halfway through can you guess why day zero i started by looking around there’s nothing so i started digging up dirt and piling it into a shape like a house The reason i’m doing this is to make a dark room so mobs can spawn during the day there’s nothing to do in this world other than try to get iron from zombies and sticks from witches those are the most important things so it’s important to be constantly killing hostile mobs and soon enough There was the first zombie it’s brutally slow getting 22 clicks but eventually i will find faster ways of farming zombies a ton of bats filled up one of my spawning rooms that was really annoying and as night fell i made like a trench so that i could attract mobs and then Punch their feet and that worked pretty well for getting zombies and if a spider came it would try going from the top and i would just punch it there was a scare with a baby zombie as i don’t have a way to block them out yet but i survived it On the morning of day one i walked around and gathered resources from mobs and burned up this is something you gotta do every day it’s just free stuff i made a third dark room for mobs to spawn in it was a little bigger but creepers kept spawning and that’s Useless i can’t use gunpowder for anything and on that night a zombie somehow broke into my trench i really need to be more careful on day two i started getting some bows this is the best weapon it’s the only feasible way to kill a witch so it’s good to have bows and arrows This was also the first time i noticed that endermen were going to be a major annoyance as the undermen would take blocks away from my houses and then it wouldn’t be dark for mobs to spawn anymore and that night i successfully used a bow to take out a baby zombie very glad i Had that day three i extended my trench and built a bridge section to it so i could stand up and look out for witches day four i had received a potato from a zombie and i used it to lure some pigs in so a couple groups of mobs generate with the world But then no more spawn after that so you gotta save these ones i had a pretty good bridge system going and i made a big room under it for mobs to spawn the morning of day six was the first time i tried using a two block pillar to Take out zombies and it works pretty well you can attract a lot of them and then i got my first iron ingot it took me 72 zombies to get here that’s just what you got to do kill as many zombies as possible an enderman placed a block so that zombies could Climb up on my bridge it was so annoying then when i tried repairing the place where the enderman made a staircase for zombies to get me a creeper blew up my whole bridge On day 8 i killed a witch and it dropped a stick that is going to be very useful on day 9 i did a lot of stuff i took some of the bones from skeletons and converted them into seeds and used that to trap the chickens they generated with the world I made a little garden i started collecting a ton of dirt to make a mob grinder and i got another witch day 10 i’m one tenth of the way there and i saw a slime for the first time it spawned where i’d broken a few blocks of dirt Once again endermen were terrorizing my buildings just taking them apart i bred some chickens and i crafted leads to gather the sheep the sheep were the third and final group of mobs that generated with the world and a witch gave me some redstone so i can make redstone torches now a little Bit of light maybe day 11 i had enough dirt to start building my first mob grinder since i don’t have water or trapdoors or really any redstone the only thing i can do is build narrow platforms and hope that mobs spawn and push each other off So i made a few different tiers where the mobs will hopefully walk down crowd each other off and fall here’s the first time i had a witch d spawn when i was running straight toward it that’s so annoying please fix that microsoft and the next day my mob Grinder started working while the mobs weren’t falling straight down and they were escaping but once i widened the fence it works perfectly zombies are a two tap skeletons and creepers are one tap and then witches need a bow the reason that i don’t make it far enough to insta-kill them is zombies can Only drop iron if the player kills them so i need them to survive i tried taking out a witch but this spider jockey had no chill whatsoever just kept chasing me and with rotten flesh as my only food source i couldn’t really regen just one day after i got the mob grinder Working an enderman already took a block away lighting the whole place up so i had to go repair that i built walls around the base of the mob grinder so i could be there safely and i put up a redstone torch and a block of glowstone to light it up so This was my new base really i accidentally looked at nederman for the first time thankfully i was able to get a roof over my head and take it out then i got my second iron ingot finally and then there were four baby zombies at once it’s craziness Here’s a funny glitch and enderman got stuck inside of a few blocks don’t know how that happened meanwhile the other endermen were stealing blocks from my mob grinder so i started crafting bone blocks since enderman can’t pick those up and that’s how i patched all the holes i crafted String into carpets and this will prevent baby zombies from escaping the mob grinder making it much safer even when i don’t show you i’m constantly killing zombies the whole time because i need to get iron ingots like this number three day 17 i had one egg left over I threw it at a bat it hit and spawn a baby chicken that was my most proud moment of this entire hundred days day 19 was the first time a creeper blew up the bottom of my mob grinder that happens occasionally i’m not sure why but they just explode instantly It’s annoying to clean that up on day 20 this is what my inventory looked like most importantly notice the zombie drops three iron four carrots four potatoes really need those iron rates to go up i found a zombie with a shovel but it did not drop a shovel would be really useful For making dirt paths which would prevent mobs from spawning day 23 was more of the never-ending chore of punching zombies i was fighting a slime and then all of a sudden a baby zombie stabbed me in the back not cool i replaced almost the entire mob grinder with bone blocks because enderman kept Destroying it so frequently oh and then another witch d spawned right in front of my face then the next evening another witch despawned stop i wanna fight day 26 i got iron ingot number four i haven’t told you what i’m planning to do with them yet can you guess then a Wandering trader showed up for the first time this is cool i can’t trade with him there’s nothing i can get because i can’t have any emeralds but i can get the leads and i can start farming llamas eventually so i tried separating him from the llamas the next morning i tamed The llamas so they won’t despawn eventually this could be a good leather farm and then it hit me a wandering trader has a chance of dropping a milk bucket and buckets are hard to get because iron is rare so i tried to kill the wandering trader While he was drinking the milk in the morning there’s an 8.5 percent chance of him dropping it but i kind of hesitated too much and didn’t get a shot off in time on day 29 i was up to 404 zombies i’d killed and it was paying off i got my fifth Iron ingot well on my way to getting enough to start actually doing fun things another wandering trader came and i thought i had a good strategy to get him stuck in a hole trapped from the llamas but i accidentally punched him and the llamas got really mad on day 33 I finally got iron ingot number seven and i crafted my iron into a cauldron and as i was on my way back to my base to use it a witch got me down to half which was pretty scary but i survived i set it up and now we Just wait for rain that’s how i’m going to get water i decided to build a truly safe little base where a creeper couldn’t blow up my glowstone this time it rained but the cauldron didn’t collect any water and i was sad this time a wandering trader came and i Was prepared to get that milk bucket the wandering trader started drinking so i shot him with an arrow but instead of dropping milk he dropped invisibility he was re-drinking the invisibility potion even though it was morning i got trolled by a wandering trader i fought some pillagers for the First time on day 36 i got a crossbow but more importantly the banner more rain but no water another pillager flag and more sticks for the second time in this hundred days a group of four baby zombies at once some days i was bored and i just dyed the llamas different colors I had this idea that maybe passive mobs you know like cows would spawn on the surface if the grass was high enough so i built a staircase up to ground level normal ground level y equals 64. and then i just needed grass to get up there conveniently that very night an enderman Dropped a grass block for me day 44 the cauldron got one level of water i just need two more and then i can take it in a bucket day 47 another iron ingot from the mob grinder that thing is slow but it works day 48 is when it really got fun because A skeleton trap horse spawned from a lightning bolt and naturally i want a skeleton horse i want the helmets from the skeletons so i triggered the trap ran into a safe hideout and not surprisingly a bunch of the skeletons shot each other and also killed the skeleton horses but Thankfully one of the horses survived i got a helmet and a bow from it it was worth it i got back up to three iron ingots from my mob grinder the water still wasn’t ready in the cauldron i considered making a bucket but i remembered no i’m gonna wait and I’m gonna get the milk from wandering trader day 50 was supposed to be a celebration of being halfway done but i died and it was not fair i can prove it to you i wasn’t recording but i was punching a skeleton’s feet and i accidentally looked at an enderman I ran blocked myself in and the enderman came and hit me through the corner look here’s the place where i died a creeper spawned on my stuff proving that it was completely dark proving that i was completely sealed in the enderman hacked and hit me through a block That’s why i don’t play in hardcore mode so we carry on the next day i started making a real mob grinder for once i had water day 52 was another very good day because i didn’t even need to trap this wandering trader i just aimed the bow at Him shot him in the morning and i got the bucket of milk that saves me three irons which is huge day 55 the water filled up another level i had tricked two skeletons into fighting each other and i was spectating it was fun but then a third skeleton Sniped me out of nowhere that was dangerous and then on day 57 the cauldron was full so i took my bucket of milk filled it with water and then started fishing there’s a lot of things you can only get in fishing in this kind of world so i wanted to start right away The next day i used glass bottles to refill the cauldron so i could get a second water source and now i have infinite i wanted to go start making my real mob grinder use water but mobs were spawning underneath it because it was the only dark place i got The mob grinder all set up with water and wow it works so fast compared to the other one i can get so much more iron this way At this point i crafted a hoe with two of the iron ingots i had and i upgraded to a 1.19 pre-release because now i can get wheat because i have a hoe and i have water so i can get water bottles now i can make mud I can make packed mud and now i can make mud bricks so i have slabs stairs and walls now the slabs of course are useful to go on the bottom of my mop grinder so baby zombies can’t get out i put water all over the ground near the base of my mob Grinder so that other mobs wouldn’t spawn there that turned out to be a huge mistake because occasionally a creeper would blow up at the bottom and then water would fill in and all the mobs wouldn’t die and then it would take me forever to get it put back together Day 65 i started making a wall around where i was going to build my house i started breeding llamas because leather is the only way to store items on an item frame i can’t make a chest and i did a little bit more work on the House i wanted to make part of my house blue so i ran around bone mealing the grass so i could get more corn flowers my pigs got struck by lightning this is another regret that i have i should have bred the pigs more and split them out into multiple farms so this Wouldn’t happen because this is what i wanted to happen i wanted to get gold from zombie pigmen which would happen by pigs getting struck by lightning but i wanted to do it a lot not to lose all my pigs at once oops i put water all around my house to Control hostile mob spawns it’s much quicker than putting up slabs or carpet or anything because water source blocks they just multiply on day 76 i came super close to dying as mobs got out of the grinder but also a skeleton shot a creeper so i got a music disc Cool i was gonna need a lot of string to finish building my house and at this point the mob grinder had gotten me so many bows and arrows that i would just run around at night getting spiders day 80 i started converting a few zombies into drown because i want to Get copper lightning rods slabs useful stuff my house was mostly complete i used mud brick stairs for the roof and that was good two chicken jockeys in the mob grinder at the same time never tell me the odds some mob dropped me an iron chest plate ah thank you i will take that And i fished up a piece of leather so i made my first item frame to store things on day 86 i suddenly realized there is a passive mob that i can cause to spawn the glow squid the glow squid can spawn in any biome as long as it’s in dark water The very next day boom glow squids now my item frame glows a little bit i added a finish flag to my base because it’s simple and i only know how to do simple things i kind of cheated by turning the date on my computer to october 31st So now there are zombies and skeletons wearing carved pumpkins i was hoping to get one but then i read the wiki and you need looting for them to actually drop it and i haven’t fished up a looting book yet i haven’t explained this yet my Goal is to get an anvil before day 100 that way i can combine all the bows i’ve gotten from skeletons to get you know like power 4 or something you can see here i’m part way there with the iron and then here’s a tour kind of a nice View of everything i’ve done so far in this world it happened again a creeper blew up the water filled the base so all the mobs survived the grinder and they were running around everywhere on day 97 i had 27 iron and a whole lot of power 1 And power 2 bows to combine together as long as the zombies dropped the iron i would make that anvil and i would do some combining day 99 i was one iron and get away from being at 31 and i was out there killing zombies when a creeper blew me up 127 levels of experience goodbye and the creeper actually blew up a zombie too that dropped the last iron ingot i needed all i had to do was not get blown up and i would have been good i went ahead and crafted the anvil and i figured i could Get enough levels from the mob grinder in the next day to do all the low level combinings of these power one bows then came day 100 and it was chaos i started by breeding chickens to get some more experience and then i was back in the mob grinder And a creeper destroyed the whole thing and i quickly repaired it and i thought i was gonna be okay i was combining bows getting power twos power threes the unbreakings made it a lot more expensive than it should have been that was annoying and a skeleton was there giving Me all sorts of different colored music discs but then a creeper blew up and water came in and then mobs were everywhere they were attacking me i accidentally let my chest plate break it was bad but here’s a view of my house at the end of day 100. It’s not easy it’s pretty boring doing super flat with no villages but you can gain different resources if i played for longer i would have gotten enchanted books from fishing gotten mending gear full iron and then i could have survived pretty much anything and it would have been more fun Video Information
