Mega Nether Mod: Explosive Additions!

Hey what’s going on everybody steve manfred here and welcome back to another video today we’re covering the better nether mod which in my opinion is one of the absolute best nether mods that is currently out there this mod adds so much brand new content to another including loads of biomes brand new decoration

Blocks and even a few mobs to spice up your time in the dimension if your computer can handle it i would highly recommend playing with optifine and shaders as it makes everything glow and look just a lot cooler also if you guys missed the news from the last video

We’re gonna start with the biomes my cool feature about better knowledge biomes is that they’re volumetric meaning they vary both horizontally and vertically they’re going to be a couple standard mobs that spawn in these biomes these are the firefly hydrogen jellyfish naga enderman which rarely spawns hoglin gas magna cube which rarely spawns

Piglen striders and lava and the zombified piglet the first bottom is the gravel desert which is a large mostly open space of gravel fields full of cacti the plants here are agave barrel cactus and nether cactus and the mobs are standard without the firefly then we have the

Magma land which is a molten rock area full of magma and lava there are large obsidian crystals that protrude from the surface the ceiling is covered with glowing vines the surface is littered with active geysers the plants that spawn here are golden vines mango flowers and geysers and the mobs

Are standard next is the mushroom forest which is a dense forest filled with many types of mushrooms the mushrooms are large brown mushrooms large red mushrooms large molds mushroom furs red molds gray molds orange mushrooms loosest brown wall mushrooms red well mushrooms brown mushrooms and red mushrooms the models that spawn here

Are the standard mods next are the nether grasslands which are grassy lands with some bushes the plants that spawn are smokers black bushes ink bushes wart seeds black apples nether grass nether reeds and wall moss the mushrooms are brown wall mushrooms and red wild mushrooms the mobs are standard then we have the

Nether jungle which is a dense forest of rubious trees filled with poisonous plants the plants are rubious tree magma flower eggplants feather fern jungle plants looses eye plants wall moss and stalignate plants the mushrooms are brown well mushrooms and red oil mushrooms and there are a bunch of bone structures

That you can find here the mobs are standard but in addition to the standard sponge you can also find jungle skeletons next is another swampland which is an eerie biome full of willow trees the plants are willows feather ferns nether reeds soul veins smokers black bushes nether grass black vines and wall moss

The mushrooms are the red one mushroom and the brown wall mushroom the mobs are standard next is the wart forest which is a dense forest full of strange mushrooms the plants are the wart dead wood pork trees netherwort wart seeds black bushes and so lily the mobs are standard now we’re going on

To sub biomes which are bottoms that are similar but slightly different or smaller variants versus the bone reef which is a sub bind with another grasslands you can find huge bone structures here the plants are nether grass and the mushrooms are bone mushrooms the mobs are standard next is

The sulfuric bone reef which is a variant of the bone reef it was added very recently in fact it was added while i was actually working on this video the plants are the nether reed and golden luminous vine and the mushrooms are the jelly mushroom the mobs are

Standard then we have the mushroom forest edge which is a sub bottom of the mushroom forest it is the edge of the forest with slightly lower plant density the mushrooms are orange mushrooms vanilla mushrooms red molding gray mold the mobs are standard next are the nether swampland

Terraces which is a sub biome of another swampland similar in appearance to the other swampland but with ridges of lava the planets are willows feather ferns netherreaves solvanes smokers black bushes nether grass black vines and wall moss the mushrooms are the red wall mushrooms and the brown oil mushroom

And the mobs are standard then with the old fungi woods which are a sub bottom of the mushroom forest where you can find huge mushrooms the mushrooms that are large brown mushrooms large red mushrooms red and grey mold orange mushrooms looses browning red wild mushrooms brown mushrooms and red mushrooms the

Mobs are standard next is the old warped woods which is a sub island for the warped forest the plants are a big warp tree warped fungus warped roots twisted vines and black vines females are standard next are the poor grasslands which are similar to another grasslands albeit with much less plants the plants

That spawn are smokers black bushes increases support seeds black apples another grass in other wreaths and while moss the mushrooms are brown and red wall mushrooms and the mobs are standard then we have the soul plain which is a sub biome or the wart forest the plants are the solvane black bush

And soul grass and the mobs are standard then we have the wart force edge which is the sub bottom of the wharf forest and is the edge of the forest with lower plant density to plant or another worksheet in black bush and the mobs are standard then we have the flooded deltas

Which are pools of lava surrounded by the salt these structures are black stone as well as blacks and solid tides of stylic mites and the mods are standard and minus fireflies then we have the crimson glowing woods which are sub armed for the crimson forest the plants

Are the crimson glowing trees wart bush warts in crimson fungus crimson roots golden vine and wong moss the mushrooms that spawn are the red wall mushrooms the mobs are standard as well as flying pigs next is the crimson pine wood which is a sub bomb for the crimson forest once again

The plants are the crimson pinewood wartbush wartsy crimson fungus crimson roots golden vine and while moss the mushrooms are the red oil mushroom and the mods are standard in addition to the flying pigs next section is structures our first structure is the gas hives which are strange hanging

Bulb-like growth that spawn on the ceiling you can find a chest and a skull inside we also have roads so throughout the nether you now find roads scattered about that can make traveling through the new terrain a bit easier next are pillars which are small pillars as the name suggests

With cinsinocyte coarse and we have these small lava pyramid which spawns in the lava pools of the nether it is made up of basalt it has a responder statue in the center then is the large lava pyramid which once again spawns in the lava pools of the nether is made of basalt

And has a little secret area underneath with chest ancient debris and a wither spawner hidden inside of a coffin and then we have the lava fortress which was actually added very recently also while i was working on this video it is a basal structure bigger than the previous two pyramids

And it is an actual dungeon with layers similar to the white fortress from the between lands on the first two floors you can find blade spawners piglet spawners and naga spawners there is a wither skeleton spawner headed under the stairs and there is ruby in the wall there are warped chests with nether

Fortress loot the top floor is a throne room there’s a throne and two coffins made up of soul stone the coffins have ancient debris hidden under them and there are magma cube spawners in the corners there’s crying obsidian in the walls and there are crimson chest chair with

Bastion loot and then finally we have the nether city which is a huge city made up of buildings built from blocks from the mod there are many different buildings here such as libraries towers houses enchanting areas roads and parks this is a little bit of a rare structure but it is extremely

Cool and valuable find it’s also a great place to get the decoration blocks for the mod if you are a bit of a builder our next section is mobs So the first one is the firefly which is a simple passive entity with a random color that will fly to flowers the valid flowers are nether soul and swamp grass black apples magma flowers sylvains netherreads ink bushes and seeds potted plants and nether wart then we have the hydrogen

Jellyfish which is a large passive entity with only a single hp it can be multiple different sizes and if you hit it you’ll create a massive explosion destroying everything in the area next is the naga which is a creepy snake-like entity that will shoot projectiles at you

That inflict wither when hit then we have the flying pig which is a passive bat-like entity it can roost like a bat and can be bred with nether wart the baby’s back will be covered in another wart and will drop another word upon death then we have the

Jungle skeleton which are skeletons that spawn in nether jungles they can swan with a wooden sword stone sword bow or nothing in their hands they can also spawn with a shield in their offhand if the date is october 31st it has a chance to spawn with a jack or lantern

Or carved pumpkin on its head and then finally for the mobs we have the skull which is a small glowing floating skull that will attack the player for a fair bit of damage the next section up is items And the first item is the stalagnate bowl which is a bowl which you can use to craft mushroom stew wart soup and a bowl with black apple all of which are food items then we have the black apple itself which gives you regeneration when eaten then we have cincinnacite which is a new

Or found in the nether you can craft tools and armor with it and you can even combine the tools with diamond for stronger variants that don’t burn in lava next is another ruby which is a new ore found in another with it you can craft tools and armor

And both of these new materials are compatible with vanilla hammers and vanilla excavators mods then we have the blocks so we have the respawner statue if you give this glowstone you allow you to set your spawn in the nether then we have the blackstone basalt and netherrack furnaces which can be crafted

Just like normal furnaces and there are basic furnaces that you can create without needing to go in the overworld then we have the cincinnacite forge which smelts at twice the speed using the same amount of fuel so this is very good if you’re doing another survival

Then we have this instead of site anvil which is a simple anvil that can be used as a normal one once again without having to go to the overworld and then we have another brewing stand which has a bit of a different crafting recipe but can process more

Recipes including special ones from the mod i would highly recommend you use just enough items or something like it to see all the possible uses all right now we’re going to cover some plants however since there are so many plants we’re only going to cure the ones that do special things

Or are useful for your survival so the first plant is the eggplant these are another jungle and they’re poisonous on contact so be careful that you don’t run into them next are the eye vines they’re a source of slime and the eyes will actually cry then we have the black apple which the

Berry can be collected and eaten or it can be turned into seeds for planting next is looses which are the wall fungus that are a source of glowstone then we have nether reeds which are similar to the overworld reeds but with lava instead of water they can be used for paper and sugar

Then we have the ink bush which is a source of black dye then the magma flower which is a source of magma cream we have the gray mold which is a source of gray dye and the red mode which is a source of red dye for the decoration blocks we’ll

Be doing something a bit different instead of going through every single decoration block we’ll actually be showcasing builds from the community using the blocks from this mod if you would like to build something and have a feature in a video join the discord when i make a video that

Requires it i will let you guys know so i split them up into sections based on the primary colors of the blocks so the first group of blocks is going to be reeds blue obsidian and the mushroom fur now for this there was only one builder and that was

Zonko the great who first of all i just want to give a big shout out to because he completed most of the builds that i requested and now this build by zonko is actually a house with obsidian spires jutting out from it which makes it fit in really nicely with the magma

Lands as you can see there are a ton of different block variants and i think he utilized them perfectly to make a nice looking exterior as well as interior not to mention that is everything inside that a base needs to be functional including a respawn anchor since you can’t set your

Spawn point in another chest furnaces etc our next section for blocks is bone and mushroom so first off we once again have zonko the great who has made this very nice looking bone and mushroom mansion once again he did a great job of using off the bone and mushroom blocks

And all their ferrets such as stairs and slabs as well as new blocks added by the mod such as chairs and stools to create a house that looks good from the outside and inside while also being a fully functional base that you could live in

Very cool bone pillar sort of thing that looks unique and also does a great job of showing off all the variants of the blocks then we have cinsinocyte which is a metal between gold and bismuth it actually has more uses than just decoration as you can craft tools weapons and

Armor with it however it also makes for a very nice looking way to display your wealth this build was done by a good friend of mine named owen who made this nice listen cinesite house as you can see he also used blocks that are necessary for survival such as

A forge and an anvil and even added some beds for decoration in the top however be careful you don’t want to click on these beds if you are in the nether then we have obsidian and basalt so for this we had two builders the first of which was owen

He made this very nice wither temple which actually looks like it could be a naturally generated structure in vanilla minecraft if the blocks existed for it i think would be perfect if you’re just traversing the nether and you found this as you get a free wither skeleton skull

And another portal the next build is by kitkat dragon 6 and it is a very cool and creative looking sci-fi inspired build these are obsidian and basalt spires that look like some sort of futuristic spaceship only made out of materials from the nether now we’re going to go on to the

Willow wart and rubious blocks these are all red trees which is why this house by zonko the great fits really nicely into the crimson pinewood biome once again this house is the complete package aesthetically pleasing on the exterior and a fully functional survival house on the interior complete with chests furnaces crafting tables

And a respawn anchor once again and there’s even some nice interior decoration with a little chandelier piece and then we have a hot air balloon by kitkat dragon once again coming through with the creative and out of the box builds the leaves work really nicely as the balloon for this hot air balloon

Next up we have seoul sandstone this build was once again done by zonko the great he made a low to the ground temple sort of looking thing with a bunch of soul fire torches on the outside and once you get into the structure the underground is completely filled

With every single last block you might need to survive in a survival world such as chests ruining stands furnaces and even a nice little sit down area with a bunch of chairs to relax and then finally our last build we’ll be using the stalignate blocks which can be

Found in the nether jungle this build is made by zonko the great and it is a very cool hanging pod sort of design with long structural supports reminiscent of the actual stalagnate block themselves and a hanging pod made of glass in the center creating a compact base with a great view of your
