Hello there guys and welcome to another minecraft tutorial now for this episode or whatever you want to call it we’re going to be telling you about how to find coordinates and i’m going to be telling you about the terrain generation changes because it’s become apparent to me that some people don’t quite know About what i mean when i put it in the comments area saying like um how the terrain generator has changed but yeah it has so if you’re using version 1.7.3 or below you will probably know that the terrain generator in my opinion is better than that Of 1.8 or later including the 1.0 update because between one point seven point three and one point eight the terrain generated change so it could come at a um ravines and npc villages and strongholds so what i’m basically trying to say is if you try to put in a seed um That existed to be quite a good seed in i don’t know like 1.5 for example and you try to put that exact same seed into 1.0 you will not get the same world because the seed will be invalid and i’m going to show you an example of that so You should have to wait for a second i’m going to get an example all right guys i’ll have a i’ll be with you in a sec all right guys so as you can see the second seed of one of my very very early videos is now coming up So as you can see this is a a beach and i spawn on a beach with a bunch of trees around me but what i’m trying to say is as you can see in the top the version number is 1.5 you can probably see that But yeah what i’m trying to say is this seed will not be valid in 1.0 because after 1.8 the terrain system changed as in 1.8 onwards the terrain system changed so all seeds that were valid in 1.5 1.6 1.7 and below will not be valid in 1.0 so for example um I once had a video up showing what i thought was the best tundra seed in the world because it just was and that was also in 1.5 and many many people um in recent times were moaning about the fact that they can’t get the world because they’re on 1.8 or higher And i kept on saying that the terrain system keeps changing and it does well it’s changed a couple of times as far as i know but yeah as you can see this world is pretty cool so what i’m now going to do i’m now going to switch back to 1.0 um And try and use this exact same seed didn’t see where i spawn so i shall see you guys in a sec all right guys so we’re back in 1.0 so as you can see here just just to prove it so let’s create ourselves a new world Survival let’s keep it as that i’ve got the seed pasted in here it is the exact scene for the uh previous video that i had okay so i’m just going to leave it as it is done just leave this new wood okay so let’s see where we spawn as you remember i Spawn on a beach with a bunch of trees around me in the 1.5 video let’s see where i spawn now because it’s 1.0 it should be interesting so as you can see this is absolutely nothing like the lemon seed from before just to clarify it is the same seed Minus two three three one five six two three two nine two three one eight five five oh four it sounded like a robot there but oh else so this seed is nothing like the uh 1.5 seed even though it’s the same seed so that’s what i’m trying to say people Um the terrain generator has changed so seeds from 1.5 in fact 1.7 and below will not work in 1.0 but anyways the second part of this tutorial is um teaching about how to find coordinates so let’s think of some random coordinates let’s say i’m actually going to go ahead and uh type this Down okay so let’s try and find x equals minus 200 and z equals 50. so as you can see x is 44 z is minus 42. so i said x equals 200. wait is it 200 or minus 200 i think it was minus 200 and x and z equals 50. so I lied i didn’t actually type it down so to find the coordinates what you need to do you need to have your debug screen up by pressing f3 and you need to try and follow so the numbers end up getting to the place where you want it To so in this case minus 200 is this way and z equals 50 means going in a diagonal direction this way so this might involve quite a bit of running hello there mr wolf yes i love you too okay so let’s keep running one morning so minus 200 z equals 50. let’s keep Going oh man i’m gonna be so peeved if that ends up with me in the ocean you have no idea but i fear it may so let’s keep going so we’ll almost get into the z coordinate oh i’m going to scale it okay all right so the z coordinate Can i just point out the y coordinate that is your altitude or layer so i’m at layer 65 at the minute okay so we’re almost at the x coordinate which is minus 200 i’m pretty sure certainly yeah so my memory is a bit wrong at the moment So don’t rage at me for getting it wrong but hold on okay so 50 minus 200 so there we go that is how you find a coordinate so x equals minus 200 and z equals 50. so that’s all you have to do keep having to move about with Your debug screen up and just follow the numbers until you get to uh the number that you want and the y coordinate doesn’t normally matter unless you’re trying to find a specific place underground or in the sky or something like that but yeah that’s pretty much it people i Do hope you find this uh video useful in some way or another um thank you very much for watching don’t forget to like the video if you did like find it useful or enjoyed it and subscribe if you want to know what my future video is about i Will have a new minecraft hardcore 10 minute episode today but i thought i’d make this video just to uh clarify a few things because too many people are sort of sort of leaving comments about how the ufc doesn’t work in different versions so yeah thank you Very much for watching and i shall see you guys later Video Information
