This is my Minecraft survival world in the new 1.20 update and over the last couple episodes we’ve been working really hard to get mending on all of our armor and our Tools in this episode I’d like to finally complete that process by building ourselves a skeleton XP farm That way we can use the XP to mend all of our stuff and luckily enough for us in the one of the First episodes we discovered a skeleton Spawner in the desert village and it should be right down here and I’ve already gone ahead and collected all the resources that we’re going to Meet just because I figured that would be boring for you guys definitely was not boring for me though I’ll give you a little bit of a snippet we uh totally will come back to that yep just gonna take our soul sand and head out no bastions for me absolutely not instead We are going to be building our XP farm today so I think the first thing that I want to do is make a safe pathway for me to get down there and it is safe area for me not to get down there so something like this should Work out pretty good and now just like any other spawner we’re just gonna have to start digging our way out so that it’s got room for it to spawn and unfortunately this is all surrounded by sand so I hope this isn’t too much of a hassle getting the spawner enough room Carved out we just need to make sure that each wall is four blocks away from the spawner then we can remove these torches after putting some on the walls of course don’t want anything to spawn and then we just need to go three more blocks down And once I’ve got that complete I can come back up here and add a slab on top of the spawner and now we can start adding in the water and if we put one water in the corner and then one block one block away we should have an Infinite water source in the middle that we can then start spreading across the entire back wall which I happen to measure this right thankfully so we’ve got one line left over that isn’t being covered by the water which we’re going to dig out I’m sure you guys have Probably made skeleton Farms like a million times but this is pretty new for me so sorry if I’m walking through pretty obvious steps I now need another water bucket so that we can make some water heading down the end of the trench and then I’ve also dug down a little bit So that the water keeps going and now we get rid of this block right here and replace it with our soul sand then we can place a couple of signs along this wall and I believe right here we’re making a bubble elevator and the tutorial that I’m following says I need Exactly 23 dirt so off you go oh I came back well that was just sad and now with our 23 dirt we’re going to keep digging upwards until we’ve run out of dirt or suffocated to death either one and that’s going to help us count How far we needed to go up and the skeleton spawner is actually really close to the surface so it looks like we’re going straight through a villager’s house oh boy and all the way up onto the surface which actually means I’m going to have to make my tunnels by Hand rather than just digging through the ground that’s supposed to be there luckily I’ve got tons of materials after we carved out that room so we should be good to just fill this out and I may come back another time and make this look just a little bit prettier but for Now I just want a working farm and now we need to pick a direction that is not towards our farm and it’s going to need to be five blocks long so we can go one two three four five and bring along our walls alongside of us and it’s gonna get really ugly here Because I’m gonna have to switch into some Cobblestone so there we have five long too tall and we can end it off with just a wall at the end and a sign next we’re gonna put our water just right there and head back down our pipe where We placed all of our dirts hopefully without drowning and then once we’re at the bottom we can start using our kelp to make that bubble elevator I at least know that part and now that we’ve got our kelp all the way to the top of the Bubble column we should be able to just head back down here and break it from the bottom and with the bubbles coming up I can tell that it’s already working which I’m very happy with because like I’ve said not really common things for me to do it may be like really really Common knowledge for you guys but this is for my first time doing a lot of this stuff so let’s test it out oh my goodness that’s awesome and now that we’re up our bubble column we’re actually gonna head back down on the other side which will be fun to build This poor villager’s house we’re gonna have to make them a new one and we need to go 23 blocks all the way back down so if right there is the block that we’re starting on it’s 11 to get back to the ground and then we can start Counting to 12 13 14 and so on and now that we’ve made it down to the bottom my spawner is over here in that direction so I’m going to build a room in this direction which conveniently lines up with this weird Ravine so that’s fun not Fun nope not fun I take it back that’s nice I just did a three by six by seven room because that was what was in the example video and I figured that would probably be enough room for us as well and now all we need to do is right below the Dropper is make a collection system to do that we’re gonna need our chest with a hopper connected into the back of it and then we can do a little bit of decorating to start filling in the walls and once it’s all decorated we can take A piece of glass and put it right at the top there and then make ourselves a slab to go right underneath the glass now right on top of the hopper we’re going to put a campfire and put it out with a shovel so when the campfire is on it’s Going to be Auto killing every skeleton that comes down here but if we’d like to be manually killing them like for XP in our example then we can keep the campfire off and the tutorial that I’m watching makes it extra fancy so you can add a dispenser on the side and go Behind it to make some fancy Redstone just like this and Redstone is really not my specialty so I’m probably gonna step by step walk you guys through this as well just to help myself so we’re gonna place two blocks right behind there add some redstone on top and then Take our Target and put it right next to the Redstone and perfect bullseye on top we’re going to add a redstone torch in the Middle with a piston coming off the side which just took out my torch poor guy and an observer on the end of that Piston gonna place this guy on this wall hopefully it doesn’t get knocked out again and then on this side we can add a couple more blocks again with some redstone dust on top and then if we head outside of our fancy Redstone Room it’s probably not that fancy I’m just a Redstone Noob then we will be able to add our lever right in line with the Target and I’m gonna leave that torch in there so nothing spawns and we should be good to just close this up and now I just need to put our flint and steel on The left side and the water bucket on the right now anytime that I flick this lever it will ignite The Fire And if I flick it back up the water will put the fire out which is basically just a fancy Redstone Way of turning the farm from Being a XP farm to a bone whale farm and now if we connect up this room to our main spawner room then we’ll be able to come in here and check on it anytime that we need and that also means that we can come in here and take out all of our Torches so that we can start letting the skeleton spawn which we’re going to have to get out of here pretty quickly and close this up and now all we have to do is head over here and wait a moment and see if any of our skeletons start Spawning and I’ve just realized a reason why they’re not spawning as well because I left a giant hole in the side and for easy access I figure we can add a door open maybe not so easy we can add a door right here that way it’s still flush With the wall so they won’t get confused or be able to sit on there but we can get in there now I just need to light this place up a little bit that way nothing spawns and perfect here is all of our skeletons already kind of lining Up and just to test it I kind of want to see yeah awesome I also just realized the lever kind of opens the door it works and now of course since I’ve blocked off every path that we have in here we’re going to need a way to get Back up to the surface which I’m thinking we already dug through that guy’s villager helps so it’s a little bit more and since these skeletons already have their own I’m thinking we make our own personal bubble elevator which we can start right here with our soul sand and now that I actually know How to build it this shouldn’t be too hard I believe I’m gonna need a couple more signs that way that will hold the water in on this side then I can start digging my way up to the surface and that comes up right next to our villager House which I think will be perfect now I just need some water for our bubble elevator which we can add just right there and then gum up and add our Kilt and break it which should turn this into a bubble elevator just like that and now That we have a way out we need to find a way in which I’m thinking is just going to be a ladder in the other Corner this direction which if I calculated correctly should be right here and before I start adding ladders onto a wall that I’m eventually going to Replace I might as well decorate in here I think I’m just going to keep it pretty simple just adding some Spruce poles and some walls and then we can use some stone brick slabs on the roof and I actually personally think I like the Sandstone as the floor so I might Keep it but now that downstairs is decorated we can start filling in some blocks to make our tunnel downwards look a little bit better and I’m thinking of using some logs against the back with some regular Planks on the sides just like that and now all we’re going to Need is some ladders it’s definitely not going to be as quick coming down as it is going up but I think ladders is a lot safer than some of my other Alternatives oh no apparently we did not sleep for quite a while we’ve got some Phantom Boys spawning not fun let’s try to get back in one piece and we’ll come back in the morning to finally fix whatever this monstrosity is we’re gonna have to cover both the tube and the entrances to our skeleton farm so this will be quite a big build and I think to start we’re Just gonna have to take out these villager houses they’ll get a major upgrade for sure so I don’t think they’ll be too upset about it we can use all of these Sandstone that we mind up and finally fill in this crater area because there’s quite a few of them on Around here earlier and now that we’ve fixed a little bit of the review and removed both of those villager houses we can replace them with some much better builds and by builds I think I’m just gonna do one big building so just to block out some basic shapes of what I Want it to look like we’re gonna have this rectangle right here be the main portion of our building going up just tall enough to cover up the tubes and then we’re also going to have this portion of the building where we’ll have a little bit of a storage system a bed So that we can sleep when we’re away from our base and of course an entrance to the farm and an exit so with that in mind I think I’m actually going to keep this cobblestone as our base and then I think I’m just going to come through and Put the corners as some Spruce logs and then so it still fits into the desert scene we can use all of our Sandstorm that we got before and just kind of start throwing it back into the build and I actually think I want to start on This main section of the build first so if we begin by adding our pillars then we can come back through and fill it in with some of our sandstone then we’ll be left with something like this which is pretty tall so I’m hoping I can counter it by adding another Little section right here using pretty much the exact same principles pillars going up then sandstone in the middle leaving some areas for the windows and finally adding a little bit of a slanted roof over the top of this something just like that and now the next thing that I Need to do is add a roof to that part and I’m thinking of doing a similar slant only it’s coming towards me which hopefully won’t look too funny we’re just going to keep going up a slab every layer try not to fall down a bit and Just to make sure nothing swamps up here I’ll light it all up which means that the last thing we have to do is close off this area right here with some slabs which I think looks pretty good next we can add in some stairs to outline the Windows and now the last thing that we need to do is fill in the windows which we’ve got tons of sand just melts up so that should be pretty easy and while I’ve been building I’ve been pretty much healing all of my pickaxe just need a few more of these guys And just like that we have a fully healed pickaxe and some glass to add for the windows oh no it looks like one of them was escaped can’t have you in here that does give me a good opportunity to show off in here though I opened it up just a little bit Since we had space between the pillars so now if we ever wanted to do anything we’ve got a little bit of room in here and a really cool arch in the spirit of texture we might as well come through with all of our cracked Sandstone blocks and start making some texture in the Walls just like that and then the next thing I want to do is get rid of these sand that’s blocking this front entrance way just like this leaving us a ton of sand over here if we ever need it in our chest and with that I think the farm is Complete and also the build around the farm is complete as well so just a quick tour you can head on in here down the ladder to your left and if I’ve got any tool with mending on it I can go ahead and grab all the XP from these guys and Since I will probably be leaving the farm I’ll probably just flick this lever so that they’re all falling into the campfire and just giving me some materials I also just kind of added a little crafting table and a furnace down here in case I ever wanted to use it Unfortunately I did did run out of an ax building this place that is the entire reason why we’re building this vending machine but for now I’ll just show you without it once again we’ve got some Redstone back here behind the farm and if you come down this tunnel you can go Through the store and check out the giant hole that these skeletons are spawning in and once we’re done messing around here we’ve got enough XP for us we can head up our bubble elevator that we made for ourselves right back into the main room and we also had a bonus Room that I showed you guys earlier with a really cool Arch that I’m still not quite sure what I’m going to do with but it’s pretty cool looking nonetheless and apart from cool looking it also completely repaired my tools and my helmet so now over the next couple Episodes we can start collecting mending on all of our gear and come over here to the farm to repair it all so that is all that I have for you guys this episode if you did happen to enjoy please consider subscribing because I would love to see You in the next video and speaking of next videos here’s a couple that I think you would enjoy Video Information

Hello! 😁
In this video, I finally complete the process of repairing all of my tools by building an XP farm to fix my mending items. To cover it up, I built a cute desert house!
