This tutorial teaches you how to create whatever you want with floating sand (or gravel), like the awesome floating sand you can find randomly generated on your world that disappears forever when you update it. Basically you place a dirt or grass block and add a flower to it. You then place the sand on top of the flower and remove the initial block. This will probably not work for the newer versions but it does on the current one, so as long as you don’t update the floating sand it’ll stay floating up there. I didn’t come up with this idea out of nowhere. First I saw Sethbling’s video that used lilypads instead of flowers, but the fact that lilypads have to be on water and water flowing everywhere updates blocks made it difficult to create certain sculptures without ruining everything. Then I saw QuDubz’s (a Redditor from /r/Minecraft) that suggested using grass but I figured that flowers would be better since you don’t need grass or bonemeal for that. — Recorded with: Fraps Texture pack: Default Game version: 1.6.2 — (You can also create evil floating anvils using this trick)
