Minecraft 1.13 Player Graves (Data Pack) Multiplayer Friendly

Hello everyone and welcome back to another minecraft showcase video in this one I’m showing you a data pack known as player graves and if you have ever played modded minecraft then you may be familiar with a mod that gives you a grave upon death now this grave will hold all of your

Items so when you die the items don’t get flung about in the world waiting to de-spawn or falling into lava they will actually go into a grave that will allow you to walk up to it and pick up all your items back in one go when you’re

Safe and ready to do so this is now possible with this data pack in vanilla minecraft it was made by M space dev so my buddy if you’re watching thank you again for making a wonder data pack now let’s show it in action I’m gonna walk

Up to this zombie and he’s going to knock B down to half a heart so we need to have him attack me again and you saw there that our items went splat for a split second and then BAM they are inside of this grave look at it right

There it is ready for us to walk along and collect our items so we can respawn and go and walk up to it and what we want to do is hold down shift and then tap spacebar and bam all of our stuff comes back now you’ll notice that some

Of it is on the ground and that’s because it remembers absolutely every single slot of your inventory so we can go ahead we can put our armor back on we can put our items into our offhand and pick up these other ones because of course I had a full inventory now also

In my inventory I had items with enchantments on enchanted books I had items with meta data look at this it remembers absolutely everything even if an item is in a stack or on its own and also I’ve got a shocker box hiding somewhere in here there it is it even

Remembers the contents of the Shocker box everything remains intact now I know you’ve got questions and I’ve got answers yes you can hear the bubbling sound of lava yes this does work with lava as well so let’s go on and jump right into the lava and oh yeah this

Always takes a moment doesn’t it BAM there we go our items flung out to the side and above us you might not be able to see it there is actually a grave hi hello again I have respawned and look there it is we’ve got ourselves a grave so I made a

Little bit of a safety platform let’s just go over here and jump and shift and got all my items back and now you know why I made that safety platform look at those diamond blocks they were gonna fall right into lava and of course your next

Question is what if I have an evil friend who always comes on my server and tries to kill me and steal my items well I have one of those evil friends and let’s see if he can steal my items so there is evil Asuma trying to steal my

Items from the grave nothing is happening of course and that’s because the graves are player bound so if evil X just step back for a second we can walk over here and clean these items for our self and evil X gets none of them and you may have noticed when I’ve died in

This video a message has appeared in chat that is this grave location message it tells us the exact coordinates of where our grave is upon death that is obviously fantastic if you’re out caving in the world and don’t know where you actually are but maybe that’s likely you

Want to turn off and you can actually turn that off by using this trigger PG death message so if I do that the death message has been toggled off we’re gonna go walk into our friend over here and this time we get a grave but we don’t

Get a message in chat now what if you’ve got absolutely nothing in your inventory I have literally nothing BAM we go over here and there is no grave because there’s no items to put inside of a grave now let’s go and find out what happens when we die inside a bunch of

Blocks I’m not sure I fought this through can I reach the button I can that’s wonderful now I’m gonna use the kill command on myself and we die and let’s go see where our grave is ah would you look at that it’s all the way up the

Top here and it hasn’t replaced any blocks at all well it looks like I’m falling back down to the world I’m falling very slowly and you might be wondering what happens if you get killed mid-air well let’s go ahead and do that you can see that there is a grave here

There’s also a block of podzol that gets placed directly below and as I showed you a moment ago that podzol block won’t get placed inside of other blocks so basically the player grave system is never going to damage anything in your world but if you happen to die midair it

Puts a podzol block below your grave and a figured you might want a closer look at that so here it is now I know you see the items go splat when I die I want to make site really clear evil X can’t pick up a single item there like everything gets

Captured in the grave so evil X picked up none of my items and if we go and kill evil X in the same spot where I died you can see that evil X’s grave gets placed a block higher so no graves will ever be put in the same space so

Where can you get this glorious data pack from if you head over to my official website at Zumba void comm look for vanilla tweaks on the left this is where we’re temporarily putting all of our data packs and scroll down to the bottom here there is player graves so

Click on that file and you’ll need to grab this and put it in your data pack folder to get to that folder select the world to click on edit down the bottom here and then click on open world folder and then go into the data packs folder

And this is where you want to paste the file you just downloaded then when you next load the world you have the player graves pack running and if you’re playing on a server you do the same thing you put it in the data packs folder and then you type a slash reload
