Minecraft 1.16 – How To Make A Water Elevator!

What is going on guys today i’m back with another video and i’ll be going over how to make this water elevator so right over here this is the upwards elevator and if we go in it we get pushed up and over here we have the downwards elevator

If we go in it we get push down so how this works is the soul sand block is making the water column pushes up and the magma block is making the water column pushes down so let’s go over how to make this we’re first going to start by

Give making a space for the water so we’ll just do that and then we’re going to need some sort of opening but we also need to block off this opening so we could do this with signs like i have over there or we could do this with a door so i’m

Just gonna use signs okay so we just put two signs right here and then we’re gonna put water at the top and now it flows in so now we’re actually going to need some kelp and we’re going to place it through the entire water column just like that so what this does is

It makes the flowing water blocks water source blocks and then we can just remove the kelp when we’re done then all we have to do is replace the bottom block with either soul sand if you want it to go up or a magma cube if you want it to go

Down or a magma block so the kelp is a necessary part of this so if i were to do this again but this time i don’t use any kelp so let’s just do the signs over here block off the water and then we put down water

And then we just put down soul sand as you can see there are no water bubbles so this one will not bring us up that’s why the kelp is necessary and you also want to place the kelp before the soul sand or magma block because now we can’t place kelp we can
