Hey guys missed crayfish and welcome back to redstone tutorials in this tutorial today I’m going to be teaching you guys how to build my password locked door version 2 now there are a lot of improvements from the previous version password input is now hidden say there Is nowhere on here where I can actually throw this cheese in but that’s for someone that doesn’t know and that this is a password locked door so if you were to build this you would know that if you threw the password down at this bottom right block here the door will now open The button is still in the design from the previous version I wanted to keep that in now if the door is actually locked if we actually try and put a lever up to the side of it as you can see the door that does not open and the last improvement Is if we throw an invalid item into the system such as this lever it’s not actually going to affect the system at all we can still throw it in our password there and the door will still open I’m going to show you how to build This now so what you’re going to need is 5 redstone dust 3 redstone torches 3 redstone repeaters 3 redstone comparators 3 droppers for hoppers 1 block of redstone one button of your choice I’ve just gotten a wooden one two chests one normal rail one minecart hopper one I endure and 64 blocks of Your choice so the first thing that we need to do is dig a 3 by 4 by 5 deep hole so let’s go 1 2 3 so it’s 3 blocks wide and then we need to go for long so it’s already 1 so 1 2 3 4 then 2 to the Left and then come back to the start here now we need dig this down for more layers that’s one two three and the last one the four now you want to come to this bottom right corner here at the front you’re going to place a chest and then Place our hopper on top make sure you’re crouching then in front and then behind the chest here what we’re going to do is place a block of our choice and then place a chest on top of that place a hopper on top of this one as well again Make sure you’re crouching and then we’re going to place a hopper going into the side of this hopper here on this face so the funnel should go to the left and then downwards and then we should have a hopper under here where the funnel is pointing down into this bottom Chest now behind this chest here we’re going to place a block and then we’re going to place one block diagonally down here and then one up the top there get redstone comparator and we’re going to place it on this block here and we’re going to make it go into this get your Redstone and we’re going to place one down in between these two blocks here place a block to the left of that redstone and then we’re going to place one down the bottom here place a redstone repeater facing towards the front then in front of the redstone Repeater place a block and then on top place a piece of redstone dust now coming back over here what we need to do is place a piece of redstone dust on top of this block and then we’re going to place another block above that and place Our button on top and then on this block here to the left we’re going to place a redstone repeater down here we’re going to place two blocks like that get our droppers and we want to place one dropper facing towards the back I drop it here facing upwards and then a Dropper on top of that block facing towards the front get a hopper and you want to make sure your crouching and right click this bottom dropper over there and the funnel should be going downwards I’m going to place another block at the end here and get our red sync comparator place that Facing towards the front not sure what that redstone is doing there but we’re going to get rid of that then in front of this comparator we’re going to place a block here and a piece of redstone dust on top of there now before we do The next section what we’ve got to do is come down into this hole here and what we’re going to do is dig out this block to the right of that hopper there the one above it and then going to come up here and we’re going to dig out the Block to the left and these two ones here place a redstone comparator going into that block we’re going to place a redstone torch on the right side of it a piece of redstone dust under it and then a registering redstone repeater there facing towards the back and then place Two blocks like this and make sure that redstone repeater is going into this block here and this actually turns off that bottom hopper there from sucking items any out and that actually turns off that bottom hopper there sucking any items out go ahead and set this repeater To its maximum amount of ticks now coming back here what we need to do is place a block to the left of this redstone here so place a block there and then place a redstone torch on this face here and then our last redstone torch is Actually going to go on this block here where I accidentally placed a piece of redstone before now you want to get your block of redstone and what we’re going to do is come over to this comparator over here dig out the block to the left Of it and then dig out the block under it place the redstone block down and then place your remaining piece of redstone dust on top of that get your rail and what we’re going to do is place it on this front hopper here so make sure you’re crouching right click and Then simply get the minecart with hopper place it on top of there then when you come back up to the top here and what we wanted to do is cover up these first two rows here so one two three and then one two three add this back bit here we’re Gonna place two blocks on the left to the right get your I endure and what we’re going to do is plate place it in a closed or in an open state already so place it sideways like this and then what we’re going to do is place a block in front And it will update it now almost done what we’ve got to do now is configure it so what you’re going to need is for non stackable items such as a bed and you want to come down here and what we want to do is open up this hopper here and Place four of these beds in the last four slots now get your anvil out and what we’re going to do is we’re going to right-click that anvil and we’re going to rename 64 actually we’re going to rename sixty four sixty three pieces of paper and this is where you put in your Password so I’m just going to do cheese and then you will place it in that first slot of that hopper we’re going to rename these real quickly for testing and then over here where we’ve got these three droppers in this top one here you simply want to place one item in the top There now if we go up to the front here as we all know my password is cheese if I go ahead and throw an item down there the door is going to open if I throw an item down there again it’s going to close so if we actually go in here and We were to walk inside say we’re inside now if we go ahead press this button doors going to closed and then the door is going to open so obviously you would want to make this the front and then because we we’ve made it in using a Password we should be able to open up the door from the inside with simply a button now how this actually works is it’s quite easy but there are a lot of components to it so basically when we actually throw our item on here it gets sucked down by this minecart hopper Which then this hopper sucks the item out of it now we’ve got two options here the item is either correct or it is incorrect if it’s incorrect what happens is this item here will try to go into this hopper now because if it’s not correct it will stay in this hopper Which then powers this redstone comparator turns off that redstone torch back there and just basically turns off that redstone signal which unpowered this bottom hopper because it’s unpowered it’s going to suck out the item from there and go into that bottom chest if it is the correct item it’s just going To go straightaway into this item hopper here it’s going to realize that there’s 64 on it so it’s going to send out a signal through this comparator that item is then going to go into this chest here that signal that was sent out powers this redstone down the bottom there Which then powers this block the redstone repeater is on top of houses redstone repeater turns off this redstone torch which then actually that allows that item to actually come down this signal over here when this block is powered Palaces redstone repeater here which then powers these series of Droppers and this is a T flip-flop see when you power at once it will turn on when you power it again it will turn off and this is where we get our signal out of it so we put in our item sends out a signal and then this turns on which then Turns this redstone on makes this redstone torch come off and then that basically makes the door come open then once we’re actually inside if we press this button here what this is going to do is kind of exactly the same process it’s going to power this redstone which Then again powers this redstone repeater and because this is on if we power it again it’s going to turn off and then it’s going to close the door at the top here so hopefully that explained it there’s a lot to it and I mean a little Bit of a rush now so I can’t like explain it in extreme detail and I also want to keep the video short but hopefully that did explain it to you guys but anyway that’s going to end off this redstone tutorial today if you enjoyed make sure you hit that thumbs up Button I had a bit of stress making this tutorial today they had to re-record the whole entire thing because I forgot a crucial component if you have any ideas for written tutorials let me know in the comments as well and also subscribe if you want to see more of these and I will See you guys next time awkward bye Video Information
