Hello everybody my name is Marlo and today I’m going to be showing you how to build this cherry blossom temple in your Minecraft world some of you more regular viewers of my channel may actually recognize this build from a video I made pre 1.20 where we built a custom cherry Blossom village with this Temple as the centerpiece there were a lot of requests for me to make this build into a tutorial it’s been a little while so I do apologize for the delay but here it is at long last in the original video this build had no interior but for this One I’ve decorated it so it’s a fully usable survival base fit with everything you could need from enchanting to storage to a bedroom and all of the other survival Necessities but of course if you want to go a different route and maybe do something a bit more traditional perhaps Japanese inspired Potentially that is your call to make feel free to do that we’ll be doing the exterior first and leaving the interior then so you can take over wants the outside of the build is all done but as always in the description down below there will be a full materials list of All of the items that we’re going to be using for the build the exterior as well as the interior quick side note the original build of this Temple used a lot of dark prismarine which isn’t that easy to attain in survival so instead for this tutorial I’ve switched all of the Don’t press Marine blocks out for Cobble deep sleep but of course if you have dark prismarine feel free to use that instead I think it looks that little bit better in the context of this build the first thing we’re going to do is place down a 15 by 15 Square out of these Smooth stone blocks where you want to build your temple then on top of all of those smooth stem blocks we can place some stone bricks as well as some crack stone bricks mixed in two blocks up from the additional bottom level once you’ve got all three layers of those blocks Done we can come to one of the sides here doesn’t matter which one right now and come to the corner and we’re going to count in one two three four five and on the sixth block we’re gonna have a line of stone bricks still mixing in Some cracked at the same time then we can do the same thing from the other corner so one two three four five and six once again placing some more cracked and regular stone bricks then we just want to place two more here and two more Here Chuck a little bit of that in and then an additional one on top of both of those to create this staircase which we can actually turn into a proper staircase by placing some stairs right in the middle so we have three along the bottom three on the next level and three On the level after that then we can grab some stone brick slabs and on top of all of the four blocks all six of them we just want to place one of those slabs down and then you can go ahead and do that on the three remaining sides you May also just want to Chuck a torch or some of the lighting Block in there to stop mobs from spawning with the stairs now in position we can come up to the center of the temple here and we’re going to very simply add in two more rings of stone bricks and crack stone Bricks just to expand the platform a little bit we will be filling in this Gap when we come to do the interior but for now I would recommend placing some torches down because unless you plan to expand downwards in your base you’re just going to cover this up create a Dark spot and get lots of mob spawn which is probably not going to be that nice to listen to so just slap some torches down there whilst you’re thinking about it but now we can come to one of the four corners and we’re going to place down a couple deep slate wall With three Cherry fence gates coming off from either side with another wall next to the third fence and on top of all of these walls we can go ahead and place a lantern down and then you can repeat it into the other three corners so that’s The platform all built we can now start on the actual Temple and we’re gonna do that by grabbing some cherry logs and we’re just going to place one of those in each of these four corners and then place an additional one two three four On top of all of them so they should all be five blocks high just make sure they’re all to the same height on all of the corners like that then on whichever side you want the front to be now’s a good time to decide that so far it’s Completely symmetrical this is where it varies a little bit so mine is going to be here what we’re gonna do is count one two and then on the third Block in on both of the sides we’re just gonna place down four Cherry logs like that and then You can copy the same thing around the back as well and on the two remaining sides the left and the right we’re just going to go in by one block and then place four of those Cherry blocks in and we want to do that on the other side over here so in The end the front should be a little bit wider on these gaps as well as the back and the two sides a little bit shorter now we’re going to come to whichever side you’ve decided to be the front and we’re going to go to the middle section Here remember it should be three blocks apart not five if it’s five then you’re on the wrong side so just come to one of the three wide sections in the middle and what we’re going to do is add two Cherry trap doors up against those logs just like that with some upside down Cherry stairs just above them with another Cherry trap door in the middle then what we can do just for now we’re gonna place a temporary block that will probably get switched out potentially when we do the interior but we’re just going to place our Cherry door on top of It then we’re going to grab some strip cherry wood and we’re going to place that on top it’s exactly the same as the strip log just without this texture so it looks nice and clean from the bottom then we can place in two more temporary blocks with two strip Cherry logs on top Of them and then we just want to bring them up by two more just like that so we get this nice Archway out the front we do also just want to add a horizontal line of logs going across the top that way we can’t see through the trapdoor And it looks a little bit better now we can grab two more on either side and add in two more additional horizontal logs at the top and also at the bottom now you can do something in multiple ways it kind of depends on how safe of a Minecraft player you are what I would recommend as to what looks best is just by adding two Cherry trap doors opened sideways up against these logs here now the only job with this is there’s nothing stopping a mob like a creeper just Waltzing right into your house it’s Not the safest design but if you sleep through the nights you’d probably be fine with this nothing’s most likely going to come up the stairs but it’s not impossible so if you’d rather play it on the safer side you can just come into here Crouch and then we’re just going to Place in four Cherry trap doors and kind of fold them all shut flat against the back then nothing can get through and of course we can do the same over on this side too now we’re going to come round the back and do a very similar thing starting on The two sides here where we’re basically going to copy what we have at the front except we’re gonna go with the unsafe design and that’s mainly because the inside of these are actually going to get covered up by some blocks so you shouldn’t have to worry about anything sneaking through because they physically Shouldn’t be able to because it’ll have blocks blocking the way in so we can just do that on both of the sides then in the middle here we just want to add a line of upside down Cherry stairs I’m going to grab a flower pot with Something inside of it I like the Cherry sapling it is a beautiful little bonsai tree we can also go ahead and add three strip Cherry logs across the top and then we just want to do the kind of Archway design we had at the front just A little bit shorter so two upside down stairs trap door in the middle and two trap doors on the side then we can just quickly hop on in and we’re going to place crouching of course while we do this three trap doors and three more underneath and then just fold them all Shut to stop anything being able to get inside next up we can come to either of the two remaining sides it doesn’t matter which one just yet they’re going to be identical but we just want to come to the one wide Gap here place a cherry stair at the bottom two Cherry trap Doors and an upside down stair at the top then we can do the same over here too and in the middle next to these two logs we’re gonna have four more strip Cherry logs just like that then on the bottom level we’re just gonna place in Three course dirt and cover the front up with some cherry trap doors and we’re just going to turn this into a nice planter and we’re going to place some of these pink petals on top or any other type of flower but I think these look really nice in this kind of layout here Then just on the next block up we’re going to add in three upside down Cherry stairs and we can just hop inside real quick and we’re gonna just place them on the back of these petals here at these three trap doors fold them all closed and then once you’ve got this side done You can do the exact same around the opposite side too now we’re going to start work on the first level of the roof which is actually made out of Mangrove wood if you don’t want to use this because it’s either too hard to get or maybe not your type of block feel Free to switch out for dark oak wood would actually be a good replacement but we’re going to start by coming to these top blocks of the Cherry logs and we’re just going to place two of them on either side on the bottom half of the blocks there should still be half a Block sticking out then we’re going to add a mangrove trapdoor underneath those second blocks in and from that we can add two more slabs on both sides and then three more in the middle and very simply we can do that for the other three sides what you can also do then on All four of the corners is just place a temporary block here another one on top break the bottom block and then place a slab underneath that one and remove it and we can do that as I said on all four of the corners as I’ve already done now We just need to bring this roof out by an extra block so it gets a little bit complicated here I’ll try and go as slow as possible but the first thing we’re going to do is just place two Mangrove trap doors on those two slabs right There then we can place three more slabs connecting them like that with an additional two trap doors on top of those two outer slabs now we’re just going to come to one of the sides for now we’ll come back and repeat it afterwards but what we’re going to do is Place in a slab then a temporary block then an upside down stair like that and we can break the temporary block and replace it for a regular stair so it should look like this then we’re going to place a trapdoor on top of the upside down stair with a slab coming off from The trap door as well as the stair to make a full block basically then all we need to do is just place down trap door next to that bottom slab so just make sure you’re highlighting this block place it down and then we’re going to have a stair that’s going inwards like This we can go ahead and copy it over to this side too we’ll do it a little bit quicker this time so we’re going to start with a slab temporary block upside down stair replace the temporary block for another stair then we’ll have a trapdoor two slabs another trapped door And another stair to finish it off and as you may have guessed I’m sure you’ve caught on by now we’re going to copy that three more times for the other three sides and lastly for this part of the roof we just need to add in a slab Here in line with the top of the stairs with another slab on top and of course do that as we did before for the other three corners above all of the mangrove wood we just need to add in our couple deep slates or dark prismarine if you Want to use that instead so to begin with next this top part of the stair we’re just going to make a two by two square then we’re going to go down by half a block starting with the trap door and just place two there then we’re Gonna have two more next to the stair and two more again then we’re just gonna have a six more slabs at the bottom and then we just want to make our way back up the other side doing the same thing and pretty much just repeat the rest of The pattern all the way around for the remainder of the roof so that is the first tier all done we’re now going to move up to the second one and we’re going to start by coming to the corners here and just placing two temporary blocks like that with a cherry log on Top and we’re gonna place in one two three four additional Cherry logs for a total of five just like we did down the bottom on each of the corners as I’ve already gone ahead and finished but now we’re going to come to either the front or back and once again do a similar Thing the front and the back are the same so we’ll start around the front here we’re just going to add a temporary block here one block inwards from the original Cherry blocks in the corner and we’re just gonna add four logs in like that so they’re one lower than the Corner blocks and we can also do that around the back too so one block in two temporary blocks four Cherry logs on top of both of them and as for the two sides that’s a little bit different we’re actually going one extra Block in so we Want to go one two and then on the third one we’re just gonna place it down there but we actually want to go down by an extra block because as you can see that’s sticking out at the moment so that actually needs to be a cherry log On both of those and these are going to be five blocks high same as the outside but as you can see one two three four five it is still lower just simply because it starts a bit lower down so it’s five blocks but from a lower point And of course we can go ahead and do that round here too so two of those temporary blocks and then five blocks up on either side just like that with our Cherry log pillows in position we can come to either the front or the back Side I’m going to come to the front here and what we want to do is just add a whole horizontal strip Cherry log line at the top in line with those two Cherry log pillars then we can come down here and we just want to add a temporary Block underneath one of them and then another horizontal line getting rid of the temporary block afterwards then we can add three regular pillows just going straight up with the strip Cherry logs in the middle and what we can do is place a cherry button here and here then We’re gonna get two Cherry slabs on either side half a block up from the bottom like that and half a bot down from the top so you should be able to place a full Block in the middle but we’re not going to have a full block we’re actually gonna have a chain just Like that and then we can do that over here too with that chain in the middle as for the two smaller sections of this wall we’re going to start with a cherry stair at the bottom with two trap doors on top of it folded shut and then Another upside down one at the top same again over on this side and then what you can do once you’ve got this side done is copy it around to the back because it’s exactly the same with the front and the back done we can now come To the two sides here starting with a cherry plank at the bottom with a cherry stair on top a cherry trap door on top of that stair with an upside down one at the top there then on the two sides what we’re going to do is place two stairs at The bottom facing into each other two Cherry trap doors on either side closed shut against the logs just like that try not to break everything in the process like I’m doing and then we can have two more stairs upside down this time facing into each other now this you may be Thinking well that could be easily walked through if anything spawns up here don’t worry it’s going to be light enough inside that you won’t have to worry about mob spawning on this roof so you can leave it perfectly open and it can even work as a Quick Escape Route if You want to fly out of your base for any reason but of course copy this round to the other side too so now with all four walls done we can once can start on another Mangrove wood outline I’ve already made a start here as you can see Don’t worry all sides are exactly the same so we can just do this for every single one but we’re going to start with a mangrove stair upside down right in the center with two slabs either side a mangrove trap door on top of this outer Slab and to the side of it so there’s a little bit of difference in the height of them as you can see same again on this side too then we’ll have a slab and a full block on this side as well then we want a slab and then a trap door on The final part just like that so you can copy that for all of the sides like I’ve already done here and then lastly for all of the corner pieces we just want to place a trapdoor here next to the slabs with a mangrove plank on top as for Filling in the rest of the roof with a couple deep slates it’s very similar to what we have down the bottom here just not quite as long so the first thing we’re gonna do is actually place in another third two by two square like we did down the bottom in all of the Corners just like that and then we actually need to place some temporary blocks next to that cherry log right there so we’re able to place some blocks down by half a block like that so there should be two of those on either side which we can just do for the others as Well making sure we’re actually going down by half a block only and not anymore of course we can go ahead and get rid of the temporary blocks as well just to be tidy and then last but not least on all of the four signs remaining we just want six of those cobbled deep Slate slabs making sure once again we’re only going down by half block and not anything like that we just want it to be peaking a little bit above the mangrove wood as you can see it is very nicely showing so now we’re on to the final tier the tippity top of the temple Keeping it super simple this time round all we’re gonna do is place a temporary block in all four of the corners next to our roof and on top of them we just want to place in four Cherry logs this time not five we’ve been doing five a lot Recently it’s only four for this level and we don’t want to break these just yet actually because what we’re gonna do on all of the sides is place in three strip Cherry logs along the bottom just like that three vertically upwards Two Cherry stairs at the bottom two upside Down Cherry stairs at the top with a cherry trap door in the middle and that can actually be replicated for the other three sides now for the final roof I’ve already made a stance here once again but we’re going to start by coming down to this Cherry log in the center and Just placing a slab like that with a trapdoor either side of it then we’re gonna have another slab on top of that slab and two full blocks on top of the trap doors we’re gonna have two upside down stairs pointing outwards kind of into the corner here as you can see and Then lastly we just want to add in a slab on top of those stairs and of course course do that for all of the sides but then on the corners all we need to do super simply is on the stairs we just want to add in a trap door but Next to the slabs we want a full block and we can just do that three more times for the other Corners so trap door at the bottom and then just a mangrove plank on top of it now we’re not just leaving the roof like that we’re Actually going to go up a little higher using some more Mangrove wood so we’re going to come to either the front or the back this time making sure you’re lined up in that direction and we’re just going to place a full plank on top of these blocks here with two stairs facing Outwards and we can also do that round the back too again just making sure you got your direction right so when you look at it from the front you should be able to see the stairs facing outwards not like this facing towards you so with That done what we can then do is just add two more upside down stairs and then two more regular stairs with another upside down stair in the middle and of course do the same around the back too linking up into the center then we can add a stair facing inwards on top of Those upside down stairs with three slabs coming into the center and then another upside down stair coming outwards just kind of jutting off the front of the very top of the roof so at the front and the back where we have this Archway what we’re going to do is Place a temporary block right here in the corner with a mangrove slab next to it so it’s slightly up from this Central slab then we can have two more slabs either side of it that’s also jutting up by half a block we can do the same around the back here you can probably Reach over and just do this see if you’re going all the way around so do that round the back too then we’re just going to grab a couple deep slate block and just stick it right in the center there will eventually probably hang a lantern from that when we get around to Doing the interior but for right now we’re just going to come to one of the sides here place a full block at the bottom three more full blocks then we’re gonna have three stairs making sure they’re all facing forward not to the side or anything like that all facing The same way three more stairs here then we can copy around to the back two so one three and then three lots of stairs Times by two and finally all we need to do is just come to the front or the back whichever one first and we’re gonna Place two couple deep slate just like that it’s a little bit cramped around here but it’s okay you’ll be fine just two full blocks right there and then at the bottom of this block we want a slab and then we want a slab at the top of This block so we kind of have this open window right here which is actually just two slabs then we can just run around the back here and do the same thing so two four blocks either side slab at the top and a slab at the bottom so that is The exterior of the temple all done if that’s what you wanted from this video and you’re gonna do the interior on your own thank you for watching I hope it was helpful good luck with the inside but if you want to stick around and find out How to build it into a survival base we’ll be getting started with that right now so the first thing we’re going to do is just kind of neaten everything up before we add in the Furnishings the walls the ceiling and the floors starting on the bottom level so this is Actually going to be made out of just the regular stone bricks and cracked stone bricks so all you want to do is just start filling this in and you know mix in some cracked stone bricks as you go or do it afterwards with the floor all done we can now start on the Staircase that will lead up to the second level so we’re going to grab some cobbledeeps late and couple deep slate stairs and just looking at the doorway to the left of it on this block right here just one end diagonally from the corner we want to add in a couple deep Slits there like that and pretty much we just want to repeat the pattern of stair upside down stair until we get to five regular stairs so that’s three that’s four and then the fifth one here at the top now we don’t want an upside down stair instead we want a full Cobble deep Slate and we’re just going to basically add a whole ring going all the way around so it kind of keeps the outside of the second level just going all the way around like this until we get to this point right here in line with the staircase where we can add an upside Down deep slice there like that then we’re going to grab some more stairs and coming in by the next block just starting here we’re just going to add in a bunch of upside down stairs going all the way around until we get to the other side over here just making sure they Connect in the corner like that and then lastly we’re just going to grab some slabs and we’ll add three of them in the middle just like so now it’s still looking pretty ugly down here we need to resolve that and the first thing we’re going to do is just actually come up the Staircase a little bit here grab three strip Cherry logs and just place them like that to connect these like so then we can also just to the left of the hair where we have the start of our staircase add one more cherry log and then one Cherry plank right here that’s gonna Make sense in just a little bit because we’re then going to grab some cherry stairs starting underneath this log and just add a ring of these going all the way around on the outside of the build making sure they connect correctly and you don’t have anything weird like that For example you want them all to be smooth and nice and round going all the way around until this side over here and as you can see that looks a whole lot better now coming up to the second level here the first thing we’re gonna do is Just place down three upside down Cherry stairs on the central three blocks of all four sides just like that then we can switch over to some cherry slabs and we just want to add four of them in the corner at the same height of all of the Stairs so it all should connect pretty smoothly covering that ugly part up that we can see through to the roof outside which obviously we want to do I’m our best to not see keeping with the Cherry slabs we’re actually gonna face this way right here so opposite our staircase and We’re just gonna place two of them like that with a trap door just on the Block above so make sure that block is highlighted and we’re just going to place it like that so if you open it up it should be above the slabs and then We’re just going to fill the rest of this section in with some more of those slabs now we just need to make a ladder leading up to what is going to be the bedroom so what we’re going to do is just Crouch and face into the middle here highlighting this outer strip log And we’re just going to place one two three and four of those on both of the sides just like that fold them all shut so they should come together pretty smoothly like that and we’re just going to place some horizontal logs down the middle making sure you crouching at the Same time and then very simply five ladders which will allow us to get up to the very top of the temple so all we’re doing up here is on these two sides where this block sticks down a little bit is just having two upside Cobble deep slate stairs and a regular stair Just underneath that upside down one so we get the same shape we have for our window just you can’t see through it then all we need to do underneath all of these cobbled deep sleep blocks is just add a square a ring around of the Cherry stairs upside down just like that now We’re ready to start Furnishing and we may as well start to appear in the bedroom so the first thing we need to do is just hang two chains down from the top and then a lantern underneath to nicely light out the bedroom as well as The roof on the outside so we don’t get any mob spawning just in front of the trap door and yes you can flip this down when you’re actually up here to give yourself a little bit more room we’re gonna have our bed doesn’t have to be Pink but I think it fits the theme personally and then we’re gonna have a painting right here except if you do that it’ll be a big one so we just want to get some temporary blocks and just cover up those two sides and then you just want to place it down to get Whichever painting you would like and then all we need to do either side of the bed we’re going to have two barrels facing forward and two chests for a little bit of storage that you want to keep beside your bedroom this is not all the storage that’s going to be in the Base most of it will be going down here on the second level so the first thing we’re going to do is facing the ladder just in the two corners here we’re gonna have three double chests either side like that and of course if you want to Label these chests a good way to do that is item frames or signs I’ll let you pick where that’s going to go if that’s what you want to do then we just want to turn around to the other side and not in this corner but in this one here so Where the staircase ends we’re once again going to be doing three double chests for a little bit more we’re gonna stick a crafting table over on this side with a lantern on top then we’re also going to place a lantern here with a chain on top of it and then what we’re Going to do here is just do something a little bit different for the storage kind of break up the Symmetry a little bit and we’re going to have two single chests here then a mangrove trap door on the same block at the bottom here with a Chest on top so just make sure you’re placing it on this block not on this block otherwise you won’t be able to place anything there it’ll do that so just make sure it’s kind of level with the chests I’m gonna have another one there two more Mangrove trap doors with Two more chests just like that now we can just head down to the bottom level where we’re first of all gonna make our enchanting setup so we just want to grab some bookshelves and on the side opposite our door over here we’re gonna add five of them along the back then Another one on top of the outer blocks and then we just want four more on either side for a total of 15 which will get you level 30 on the enchanting table we can then just stick an anvil up here and a grindstone up there if you need Them as far as enchanting is concerned and then we are just going to give ourselves a little bit more storage here and this is where the blocks are going to cover up mobs being able to get inside if you’re worried about them seeing through the chests or anything Like that you don’t need the chest you can just Place some trap doors here and cover it up you know but I like the idea of having a little bit more storage I don’t think you can ever really have too much within reason so we’re just gonna Add a double barrel and then two double chests just like that and lastly on these Corner blocks of the Cobble deep slate we want a lantern with a chain just above it like so we’re also going to have another chain and Lantern just here to the right of the doorway Underneath our staircase and then in front of the course dirt or behind it whichever way you’re looking at it I suppose we’re gonna have some furnaces so one side is gonna have a smoker the other is gonna have a blast furnace with two furnaces either side alternatively If you don’t use these special furnaces just switch them out for regular furnaces that is absolutely fine either side of the furnaces though just add a little bit of extra color with the red trying to keep that a running theme a little bit in this build we’re just Going to add some Mangrove trapdoors either side of all of the furnaces just to the left of the doorway where we have our staircase we’re going to place a strip Cherry log just there and then we’re gonna have a loom on top of it but we want to place it here so cram Yourself in the corner look at this stair and place it down so we don’t get this texture on the show that one is actually at the back of it right now so it kind of looks like some drawers I just think it looks a little bit nicer Decoration wise then next to the log we’re going to have a crafting table and next to the crafting table we’ll have a stone cutter and just for a little bit of added decoration we’ll have a flower pot on top of the Loom and lastly if You’re on a server and you want a little bit of secret storage what you can actually do is just replace this Cherry log with a barrel of some kind and it’s not very obvious but you can click through it via the corner of the block that little quarter poking through so Just a little fun idea if you want to hide your storage from anyone you’re on a server with alternatively you can use an Ender Chest that would probably work better which is going to go on the right side over here if you don’t have any chest just a regular chest is fine it’s A little bit more storage I suppose to the right we’ll have a cartography table and to the left a smithing table with a brewing stand on top and the final thing we’re gonna do unless you want to expand downwards because you got plenty of room Down there if you want to add in an extra room some more storage perhaps but what we can do is just add a little rug made out of some pink and white carpet just like that a nice two by three right in the middle of the room so there we go Everybody that’s gonna do it for the tutorial I really hope it helped you out and thank you ever so much for watching once again I apologize for the delay on this build it has been a long time coming so I hope it was worth the wait Thank you once again and I will see you in the next video bye for
