Does your Minecraft look like absolute poo and want yours to look like mine well with my help a couple months a semi-decent PC and half a brain you’ll be able to upgrade your Minecraft visual experience from poo to Giga chat in no time I’ve also changed a bunch of my Settings from my 1.19 video and with these the game just looks even better which I honestly didn’t even think was possible alright so first I’ll quickly show you how to install everything if you just want to skip ahead and see the settings for the shaders just use the Timeline thingy below so firstly let’s get a fresh install of Minecraft 1.20 to do this of course just open the launcher click Minecraft 1.20 and click play wait for it to download and once you get to the main menu quit next head down to the description of this video click on all The links under the needed mods section and then download all of them if you want some extra things like nicer looking leaves then get the stuff under the optional section too now at the time of recording unfortunately indium and continuity aren’t updated and those are the two mods that allow for connected Textures so once those update I’ll add them to the description but just know that when they do update and all you need to do is drag them into the mods folder and that’s it now with everything downloaded open the fabric installer and click install now once again start the Minecraft launcher and now you should see a different version here which should say fabric 1.20 if it doesn’t click and see if you can find it if it’s still not there close the launcher open the fabric launcher again and make sure it’s installing to the right path if it Is there make sure it’s selected launch the game and then close it now click the Windows button and type percent up data percent hit enter go to dot Minecraft and then the mods folder now we’re going to drag in fabric API sodium and Iris MC now once again if the indium and Continuity mods did happen to update you drag both of those in as well now if you did end up getting the better leaves add-on go back then into the resource packs folder and drag that sucker in now we can once again launch the game then head to settings video settings Shader Packs and finally open Shader packs folder then simply drag complementary shaders in now just to note you won’t have all these other folders here these are just all my old shaders so don’t worry about that now let’s go back to the game and make sure to select the Shaders and click apply then if you got the battle leaves add-on let’s click on done done again and finally resource packs click the arrow to move it over to the enabled list and so basically what the battle leaves add-on does is simply add a nice bushiness to all of the Leaves also if you happen to be watching this when the continuity and indium mods have both updated in here you should see the continuity mod of which you just click the arrow for to make sure it’s at the top of the list and so that’s it we’re all done with everything but the Shader settings if you end up leaving all the settings at the default then this is how your game will look in my opinion not the best as with just a bit of tweaking in the settings we can get it looking absolutely amazing so let’s get started also just as a quick side Note we’re on my hardcore world and if you wanted to download it head over to my patreon okay now let’s get started alright so first let’s hit Escape go to options video settings Shader packs and then Shader pack settings and so this is the main area where we’re going to be Changing well you know every single setting and so for the first setting this is actually going to be the one that’s going to affect your performance the most but it’s also going to make your game look the best so if you want the most FPS possible make sure to Change this to basic PBR disabled but if you want your game to look uh you know amazing make sure to change this back to integrated PBR then we’re going to head down to materials integrated PBR settings and then we’re going to turn on auto-generated normals and as you can See this adds a nice bit of depth to all of the textures we can also turn on noise coated textures and what this is going to do is just add in even more like texture and depth through all of the vanilla textures I personally don’t Really like this so I’m going to turn it back off next let’s hit back and go into Sky and then into Overworld Sky color in here we’re first going to drag the day dash red multiplier setting down to zero and then we’re going to set the green One to 120 and all this does is just make this guy way more blue and way better looking next let’s click are you okay buddy Jesus oh yeah let’s click back then head into Cloud settings in here we’re going to up the cloud thickness to 8 and the cloud brightness Up to 2.5 and this just makes the clouds look a little bit more full a bit more prominent I don’t know I just kind of like that look I guess now it’s time to click back once again and head into night sky settings in here we’re going To turn the star brightness up to three Shader star amount up to high galaxies on and Galaxy brightness also up to three and what this does is just make your night times go from kinda boring to a spectacle to behold okay now with our night sky settings done it’s time to Click back and back once again and now we’re going to head into the lighting section and so in here firstly we’re going to be increasing cave lighting from 32 all the way up to 128 and what this does is pretty much just make really dark areas a little bit brighter And a bit more easy to see I’ve mainly just changed this for visibility in my videos so you might prefer to leave it default just play around and see what you like next we’re going to turn on Cena wear colored lighting and this just makes it so that blocks emit their Respective color light so lanterns will be Yellow Sea lanterns will be more white and so on next we’re going to increase the handheld light distance from 14 all the way up to 28. and so with these shaders when you actually hold something like a lantern that emits Light it’s actually going to you know emit light while you’re holding it which is pretty cool and increasing this to 28 just makes it light up more of an area and now the final setting in here is block light flickering I’m going to be leaving this off but if you turn it on It will make lights a little bit more realistic looking and kind of give you a more immersive experience I’m personally going to leave this off just because I feel like it might get a little bit annoying but I can definitely appreciate that it would look kind of cool you know Right so now it’s time to click apply and then back because we’re now all done with the lighting section now it’s time to head into the world section and in here let’s first head into the outline settings so this part is of course completely optional as it does change The way the blocks look quite a bit it adds a nice little outline to everything which you’ll see in a second so if you want that on just turn alternative outline on and make sure it’s set to dungeons we’re going to leave the strength at four and we’re going to turn The thickness up to three and so yeah as you can see here this adds like a nice little highlight to every single block around the place it’s definitely a bit more of a stylized look so feel free to leave this off if you don’t like it now Let’s click back and go into the waving stuff settings and so by default all the grass and stuff waves around nicely but for some reason leaves is turned off so we’re actually going to turn that on and you know what that does is just make the Leaves kind of blow in the wind and the next thing we’re going to do is actually turn the rain waving intensity multiplier up to four and what this does is makes it so when it’s raining the leaves crops and grass and everything that waves will just go crazy like you Know as if it’s an actual storm I think that’s a pretty cool setting to turn on now let’s click back and go into light shaft settings and in here we’re going to be turning the light shaft strength up from 0.5 all the way up to one and This just makes the light shafts and stuff a little bit more visible a little bit more prominent and yeah pretty cool and so that’s it for the world section let’s click back and back once again alright off to the next section post process firstly in here let’s head into Bloom settings and in here we’re just simply going to turn up Bloom strength from 0.4 to 0.5 and so this just adds a little bit more glow to everything that emits light here you can see how it looks with Bloom completely off as well now whatever you do make sure you don’t Turn this up to BSL um yeah I’m not sure what’s going on there now we’re all done with the bloom settings let’s click back and now finally in here image sharpening let’s increase this up to five now this is a kind of subtle change but it just makes Everything a little bit more crispy especially things in the distance they can look a little bit soft and just increasing this to five makes them a little bit crisper looking I guess and so that’s it for post process now let’s click back once again okay now let’s Head into water and firstly in here we’re going to be turning water refraction water absorption and projected core sticks all on and I will just warn you turning all of these on will make water a little bit extra laggy when you’re near it but it’s definitely Worth it because it makes the water look absolutely amazing now to make water look better while you’re actually inside it we’re first going to turn the the underwater fog distance up to 128 and we’re going to turn underwater Distortion down to zero so overall this just improves visibility underwater and Just makes it a little bit easier to see you know and now we’re gonna head into water wave settings this is completely up to personal preference I’m only going to be turning bumpiness up to 1.5 this just makes the water a little bit more rough I kind of wish there were settings To change it between the ocean and you know lakes and stuff so we can make Lakes more calm but oceans more rough but yeah I like the water like that and the last thing that we’re going to be changing is water displacement and just turning this on this just makes it so The waves actually move up and down against the sides of all the blocks and stuff instead of just being completely you know flat and so that’s it for the water wave settings and the water settings overall let’s click apply and back all right and for the final setting We’re going to head into materials and then rain puddle settings and in here simply just turn rain puddles on and so this does pretty much what it says when it’s raining it adds like these nice little water puddles on the ground and they last for some time as well well After the rain has actually stopped previously I didn’t have this setting on but I think I just want to you know maybe try something different and have it on and so yeah that just about does it for all of the settings thank you so much for watching and I’ll see you in The next video Video Information
