I just I just want to know how to sit on the scaffolding why why can’t I sell the scaffolding what is this moyang some sort of cryptic message or maybe just a reference to a bug so if you load a world and you’re standing on scaffolding Yeah you can fall right through it but how they are sitting here is a mystery to me and that’d be a cool feature being able to sit on scaffolding anyways it’s our second pre-release for 1.20 and no sign of a release date in sight yet and this update is focused mostly on bug Fixes so I think at this point it’s probably now fair to rule out that we’re going to see that third plant that was related to the sniffer which I am gutted about because this thing looks so cool but no worries we’re gonna kick this one off with a bug fix possibly from Hermitcraft let’s have a look we’ve got died level horse armor and if we give our horse a little right-click action look at that it’s it’s not died yes the level horse armor color has been lost yet if we’re to just shimmy it on in like this you can see that they actually Retain their color it was just yesterday that I was watching the Hermits play Etho and B Double O’s horse course and they discovered this bug and then suddenly it’s fixed in what is that horse doing it’s fixed in this pre-release so as you might have guessed I wasn’t in pre-release 2 but now I am we’re going to right click on the horse it’s gonna retain the color of the horse armor I think the Hermits are gonna be happy with that one now just before we get to the changes in this pre-release many of you watching are not actually Subscribed so if you keep going back to these videos to be in the know about the Minecraft updates hey consider subscribing so thank you for doing that let’s crack on first of all creative inventory changes buckets of fish are going to be sorted the same way as they Appear in the food and drinks tab in the natural blocks tab the dead corals are now ordered the same way as their counterpart blocks the River Rose is now grouped among the other flowers and the muddy Mangrove roots and Roots have been moved so they appear after the logs and Not in the middle of the leaves I also notice just that the oak boat is ordered the wrong way around here I don’t know why but speaking of boats here is what’s probably a long forgotten feature the ability to dispense a boat into water did you Spot the Difference this is how They’ve dispensed for the longest time in this game notice that they don’t actually drop down into the water we are in the previous pre-release at the moment and the way that the dispensers pushed out boats meant that their hitbox was on top of the block the dispenser Was on so the boat wasn’t submerged into water as of yet so now if you wish to have your boat or raft head straight out onto the water and set off into the distance that’s possible although technically it was before as long as you didn’t have a block below the dispenser And this is another one of those really old bugs we’ve had a few of these taken care of recently the 30th of October 2012. this park is over 10 years old and now it’s been squashed So speaking of bugs being fixed your keybinds used to be in lower case and it pre-released 2 They’re going to be in uppercase if you’re a fan of the programmer art resource pack built into the game you may have noticed that potion effects in the GUI were not displaying correctly this is now fixed in pre-release 2 and it’s subtle but the game it does look Different for the longest time we had different textures for all the blocks in this game oh look at the sand yes if you’re a new player it is definitely worth throwing this on exploring your world and just see how Minecraft used to look oh crying obsidian this wasn’t in the game At that point in time but they’ve added this texture for it well I have discovered something today as well as all the changes in the pre-release I guess so you can see they haven’t like added retro textures for the new ones these remain the same oh my God Prismarine used to be quite an ugly block however the recent changes to potion colors seem to have affected the old resource pack too and now all of these look rather kind of funky distractions distractions here’s another bug fix a nasty one that’s obviously not how it’s supposed to behave but in 1.19.4 you couldn’t block TNT blast explosions with your Shield that’s been corrected in 1.20 now that we’ve taken care of the bug fixes let’s talk about the technical changes first of all if you use Text-to-Speech functionality and it’s not available when you load up your game you’re going to get a display box Letting you know that’s not currently working and if you are a data pack tinkerer using custom recipes and whatnot you can now actually use air in the recipe slot as an empty space so let’s say you’re making some sort of arrangement of blocks and you want to Make sure that the player keeps an empty space in the middle you would simply Define this as air and this works for all following recipe types except the ones specified here on the website so next up I would like to talk about the loot table changes that were made in the Last pre-release so I’ve ascertained from my comments that my explanation was not good enough of what’s going on here some of you think that this might kill speedrunning but actually it helps make the verification process for speedrunning a lot better and therefore should be a great thing for the Speedrunning community so the loot table does not only apply to chests like ones that you would find in a dungeon I’ve got a command here that enables us to create one of those simple dungeon loot chests over and over again just to show you how this is generated when you open A chest this also applies to things like mobs and the items that they drop to so the change made was an additional little bit of information known as random sequence if you were to submit a speed run with both your world seed and the random sequence and someone was to Recreate the same events of you getting loot from a mob or opening up a chest they would be able to verify as they would effectively see the same results now what we’re looking at here is the world saver folder and it’s inside the data folder of each region this one Being the default for the Overworld that you’ll find this random sequences dot that and inside of this file you’ll find information on every type of loot table that’s been activated so far if we have a closer look at the creeper there are two entries and that’s where we find These two numbers for verifying the loot that would drop from that mob and as I mentioned this file can be found in each of the different dimensions so if you go into another dimension into the data folder you’ll find the random sequences file now as for actually using these Numbers in the world seed to verify those loot tables that is beyond me but I’m sure before long the speedrunning community will probably be developing some tools to help verify speedruns which is a good thing because without this cheating is possible but now if you want to verify that your run is 100 Authentic you’re also going to have to hand over these numbers with the weld seed and if you don’t do that people are probably going to suspect that your run is illegitimate and here’s something else from last week’s pre-release video I went through the nether portal in creative mode it’s a common Hazard of Making these videos so I’m going through in survival to show you how the portal effect is removed it’s kind of quick so we’ll go through once more and we’ll get to the other side you’ll see just within a second it’s completely removed next I have some Community news for you which I Am definitely late to and the reason you’re seeing the menu Panorama is because this screenshot was taken in a world and that world has a seed so in less than 24 hours the Minecraft at home team were able to reverse engineer
