Minecraft: 15 NEW Create Mod Farms and Tools

What’s up everybody today’s video is going to be so jam-packed with content that i think it contains about 10 videos worth of content of what i usually put out so if you don’t have the time to stick around till the end make sure to check out the chapters listed below so

You can at least see what all is in the video and get the schematics for the machines that you need so let’s go ahead and get right into it okay so the first machine i want to show you today is this very simple tree farm that works based

On a cart assembler setup that i really did not know was possible essentially whenever you have a card assembler setup with chassis on top of it if you activate this setup you will have any saws deployers or drills attached to it activated once which means that in this

Case if this tree grows the redstone current will go through the block the wood block at the bottom here and is going to go through this redstone on its way down right here is going to activate the cart assembler which is going to bring the saw to life and it’s going to

Chop the tree at the same time the deployer would come to life and it would not find a spot to do anything so this spot will be empty after the tree is cut down then these repeaters will take a moment to deliver another pulse to the

System which will power it and this time the saw won’t find anything to do but the deployer will find an empty spot and it will plant the tree and if you’ll note here the chest is always accessible because this farm is not like always rotating or always moving so it’s actually perfect

For connecting it to other systems like a furnace engine or to anything you want and it’s very cool that you can access the wood all the time and the machine isn’t lagging your whole world because it’s always rotating even when there aren’t any trees so let me put some

Fertilizer on this tree get it to grow to full size and you’ll see it in action the current goes through here breaks the tree second pulse goes through here and plants the tree now there’s one thing to note here is that for some reason when i rotate the farm to face in other

Directions it doesn’t always work so i don’t know if you know why this is happening let me know but otherwise this should work perfectly well in 1.165 and 1.18 so go ahead and try it and let me know what you think the next machine i want to show you is this very simple

Cobblestone generator which uses the exact same technology and is infinitely expandable and i’ll show you how to do that in a minute but it’s very cool because it’s super fast you don’t need any hoppers or shoots so you don’t have any overflow of materials everything neatly gets deposited into a chest

That’s always accessible so the idea here is that the current will go through the block it will power the cart assembler bring the drill to life it will break the block and then give it some time to generate another block during which the redstone will be off and as you see we get

Everything in the chest right away as soon as it’s mined so this machine is very effective very low on waste and i think is very cool considering what we can do with it once we expand it and this right here is a slightly expanded cobblestone generator using exactly the same technology in

That right here the first part is basically that same cobblestone generator and i have it because i need to make sure that i can detect at least one cobblestone generated these all work at the same speed so it seems like it works perfectly with this setup and you’ll see how magnificently fast this

Thing is you see it breaks cobblestone generates breaks again and if we go to the chest you’re gonna see everything getting deposited immediately without any delay and i think this is a huge step above the current create mod models for cobblestone generation because we don’t need any

Conveyor belts we don’t need any motors or water wheels or rotation or anything like that all you need to expand this thing is add more chassis down here and expand the cobblestone generators and you’ll have this massive machine so i think that really this is the next generation of cobblestone generators and

If you get anything out of this video this one this one is the one but don’t fret there are so many more cool things coming on the way so let’s go ahead and take a look at them now since we’re looking at this particular type of technology i figured

I could not escape building a simple sugarcane farm this one unfortunately needs an observer because you have to detect when the sugar cane is fully grown and you can’t really pass a redstone current through it but other than that it’s all exactly the same you have a mechanical saw you have a chest

That will collect the items and whenever the sugar cane grows is gonna get cut and deposited into the chest and it can even be expanded just like that and it needs only one observer you don’t need a whole lot of them you don’t need pistons you don’t need hoppers so i really think

This is also a huge step up from your typical automatic sugarcane farm and it can be expanded horizontally by god knows how much it can be really big so now when we plant the sugar cane you’ll see that it all gets cut right away and gets deposited in the chest

And this right here is the final machine of this class of machines which operates using the exact same method to collect wool from these sheep right here this is a deployer with shears attached to it um we don’t need this hopper i used it at the beginning just to attach the shears

And otherwise this machine runs on a timer so whenever i press this button it’s going to take 30 seconds to deliver a signal and mine or collect a piece of wool and then when that’s done the signal will come back through here through this block and then we’ll take another seconds

And then we’ll take another 30 seconds to activate and mine again so when we press the button it’s gonna take a nice 30 seconds which i’m going to fast forward for you here and once we hit the 30 seconds you see we got an extra piece of wool in here

And this sheep has been sheared and this continues on um every 30 seconds you will get another piece of wool now i set it to 30 seconds because i wasn’t sure how long it takes for sheep to grow their role and also because in this experimental world of mine i have time

Flow disabled so the sheep will actually never grow wool again but when you put it in your survival world this will work very well and it will continuously produce wool for you that is as usual always accessible from here except for the moment when the contraption is

Powered on so you can place a shoot on the side here and get everything you need and now things are about to get a little bit more exciting because i’ve discovered that and you know i can’t believe that i’m only discovering this now but dispensers on top of an assembled

Structure like this are going to automatically pull whatever’s in the chest so if i press this button right now these tnt dispensers will throw it sideways at 90 degrees and that is very consistent if i have them facing this way the bomb is going to go that way or the tnt

So in this case if i open it you’ll see that all of the tnt stacks have gone into well actually they go in a little bit at a time so eventually you will have everything going into the dispensers and getting tossed out there and i think that

Despite this cannon being kind of weak short range it basically all it does is dig down i think it’s a very good prototype for creating future cannons that i will hopefully make more powerful more long range it is some sort of a cannon if you place it at a very close

Range to an obsidian wall i’m sure you’ll be able to destroy it so i’ll leave you with this cannon for today but if you think that this is a cool concept that i should explore more let me know or let me know if you have any ideas on

How this can be better but other than that we’re gonna go ahead and jump to the next machine which in my opinion is a lot more exciting than this this machine is actually yet another elevator design and i really thought i was done with elevators and that i’d come up with

All the possible ways but you know that was silly of me to think because right here i’ve come up with a way to use a soul sand magma block elevator and this is a soul sand block that’s looking like this for some reason because of an issue

With resource packs but i guarantee you it is and basically whenever this system is flipped the blocks are switched the soul sand gets in there and as you see the cart gets pushed all the way to the top and i’ve set it up with buttons it’s super

Simple it’s always the same button so you can press this and it has a somewhat realistic way of moving to it like a real elevator it kind of shakes a little bit at the beginning and then it goes down steadily to the bottom uh so the same thing

Happens when you press this button it’s going to go up and then i want to show you that this also comes by default with call buttons if you if you press this button you just want to make sure you’re not standing here so you don’t get crushed by the elevator

Perhaps the position of these buttons isn’t great but it works perfectly well it uses a very simple redstone circuit here we have a toggle latch right here so that we can use the same redstone link for everything whenever you send it it just flips it on or off and these are a

Simple set of repeaters this is also a repeater which should does not have any ticks let’s see if it yeah i don’t know what’s up with this but either way this is a simple block switcher that switches these two blocks whenever you turn on or off the

Contraption now one thing i want to mention is that whenever you will use the schematic for this it’s not going to come like that because if i copy this in a schematic this whole section with the cart will not get included because it’s already assembled and disconnected so i created

Another version now you don’t really have to go with my little elevator chamber here because i know it looks terrible i am not the best or not even at all a good builder admittedly so when you get this contraption and this is good to have it here so i

Can explain exactly how things are working you have this column of water it’s set up as an elevator this is an old concept that technically you should already know but either way once you set it up you go one block above the column and you set up your card assembler you use

The chassis to go one block below so it’s the level of the cart assembler just so that when you get down to the ground the cart will sit on top of this block here and the elevator will sit on the floor now all you have to do once you’re done

With this and you really absolutely have to make sure that this is set to lock rotation because if you don’t set it to lock rotation the elevator will start rotating all over the place so all you have to do now is flick this on and then break the block right under it

And the elevator will go down and now you can clearly just go ahead and use the elevator like you used that one um you can feel free to actually extend the chassis as far as you want you can have an entire house here you can have whatever you want really it’s

Just the concept is very cool and i wanted to introduce it in its most basic form and then um the sky is your limit quite literally i think and now that we’ve looked at the elevator i want to show you this machine which uses exactly the same concept and

Honestly no matter how complex or cool the other machines i show you today are this is my absolute favorite because it’s the most useful in my opinion it’s the most simple and it was the most surprising when it actually works so the idea is that whenever a cart

Is in free fall or is moving or whatever is happening you will also have the drills saws and deployers functioning constantly just like that setup over there so right here we have a c-shaped chassis setup of chassis with the cart assembler sitting right in between so we know

Right now that the moment we flick this on the whole thing is just going to fall and we have a double layer of drills right here the second layer is attached with super glue because sometimes the machine gets stuck and it doesn’t dig down so what’s the point of this you

Might be asking well the point is in the name of this machine which i like to call the straight down digger straight forward very simple it’s very dangerous to sit to dig straight down in minecraft it might be getting a little bit better these days with all the caves and spaces

Underground but still this thing will dig all the way down to bedrock and will sit waiting for you and if you wait for it to go all the way down then you pour a little bit of water the cart the rail under the cart is gonna break which means this chest is

Gonna be accessible and you’ll be able to get everything that this thing collected on its way down so without further ado let me just flick it on and show you how cool it is i forgot to set it to lock rotation so that’s why it’s spun a little bit if you

Set it to lock rotation it’s not going to do that but as you see the machine keeps going you can’t really stop it unless you beat it you go faster than it and break the chassis or the rail or or the cart or anything like that but

As you see this thing is perfectly functional i recommend you don’t put water in the hole before you see this thing completely stopped because it might break the rail and uh stop it from moving forward or downward so what do you think about this i really think this

Is pretty much the coolest machine that i’ve built to date including that massive calculator thing over there and all of these other things that i may or may not have shown you before now this concept is nice and cool and everything so where do we take it next

Well with this we’ve all been building drills and massive machines that go down into the ground to collect resources for us but we really can just build this thing and let it fall down and put everything in this chest so you flick it on it’s just a little expanded uses

Exactly the same concept and this thing is gonna go and dig straight down now this is only an experimental world that i made so it really is not high it’s not it doesn’t go as deep as your average survival world but here it is uh now

Let’s go check out that big machine that we just sent down um hopefully it has made it all the way down it has not yet but you can hear the drilling going crazy and once it hits the ground we can break this cart and see what’s in the chest

Which in my case is obviously just gonna be a whole lot of iron blocks i think we’re here we’re stopped uh if we dig a little bit deeper we will find red bedrock right here so the drills are stuck in it um we break the cart so the contraption

Comes back and now you have all of these blocks and obviously you’re free to mine everything and take it to go build it again and that that is the only downside here in that the machine is not gonna go back up by itself um but i think it’s

Pretty worth it especially if you’re gonna build a single or a double drill like the other small machine and simply use it to dig down to create your mine shaft or something like that because it’s cheap it’s um very simple to build and you can build it very early on in

The game so i really want your honest opinion about this machine because i think i’ve already said that a couple of times but it is my favorite and now we’re gonna look at this machine which you’ve been seeing while we were looking at those and uh this is where we are

Going to start doing some serious farming and i really don’t know why this setup is extremely underutilized everyone ends up using drills and what do you call it those gantry shafts and um all these expensive farms that in order to expand you just need a huge amount of resources now with this farm

All you need to expand it is more rails more harvesters and chassis and then more planting obviously so if you want to think big you can think about something like this for example this right here is only a small example of what you can achieve when you expand a

Farm like this this is not massive it can be a lot bigger but really this was all i had the time to do today and all you have to do is flick it on the card assembler will pick everything up again you have to make sure that it is unlock

Rotation it looks like it is not set up to that so luckily i was able to save it so what we’re going to do is we are going to make sure this is set to lock rotation and then we place our liver now this should be safe hopefully um i

Don’t know why it went from lock rotation to not maybe it’s because i upgraded minecraft um and the good news is that every machine we’re looking at today works in 1.165 and in 1.17 and 1.18 so i think that’s pretty cool something weird is happening here

With the shaders um i don’t know what it is but the farm is fully functional if i get some bone meal i can show you and then we can explain exactly how this is working even though it’s uh it’s super simple now keep in mind that the machine

Doesn’t harvest on the way back but i think that doesn’t really affect the speed it’s actually super effective the cart assembler is uh depositing everything here or is it is it set a little bit too far No it’s connecting and it basically places everything here as soon as it harvests harvests it so Honestly like this type of farming is probably much better than using drills or gantry shafts or anything like that because it can go on forever it is not using rotation which means that again um as far as my tests go it creates a lot less lag than everything else and this

Concept doesn’t only work for wheat it works for everything so let’s go ahead and look at some other farms that work this way this tree farm right here uses the same technology as the wheat farm we just looked at it’s all exactly the same i should have mentioned before that

There’s a little bit of an offset here so that whenever i turn off the machine it doesn’t actually break a whole lot of the plants and with a wheat farm this is more important because whenever you destroy you’re gonna have to plant it by hand but right here it’s not a problem

Because we have the deployers so whenever i power it on um the deployers will plant the trees right back and we’re gonna end up using losing a couple of saplings and as you see everything gets deposited here now one thing to note is that for the portable storage unit in the

Description from create mod it says to leave it one block away but i found that leaving it three blocks away actually makes sure that it only connects once if it’s set up closer then it’s gonna start connecting here and then as it moves it connects again and then as it moves it

Connects again and it causes a lot of delay so this is kind of the optimal distance between them and of course it’s worth mentioning that this chest is always accessible as well so you’ll always have your trees um you’re not gonna have to mess with this whole thing

At all after you set it up and you let it go and it’s just super convenient and now we are going to start looking at the final class of machines that i created and this unfortunately requires a little bit of rotation here and there maybe just for this machine but either

Way this is the simplest one and i wanted to start with it but i will show you some very cool things that depend on these same concepts now this is using deployers connected to a chassis system that is uh pointed towards a system that’s not actually connected to the

Chassis so it’s interacting with these parts right here and what’s happening here is that this machine which is a bread maker as you might see this is the final product right here requires a little bit of manual startup so basically let’s say that your crusher here is connected to a wheat

Farm or you place the wheat manually in here so we’re going to place the wheat and it’s going to start getting crushed we want to make sure the farm is clear of anything when we’re starting it so there’s no bread here there’s no dough here there’s nothing

And now we check out this chest and make sure there’s at least that there’s at least some wheat flour because you want to have a couple and then after that the process will continue indefinitely but whenever you run out of wheat flour here you will have to restart the machine

And obviously whatever falls in here is going to get deposited in there now the reason we’re using a shoot and we’re not depending on this chest directly is that this machine will actually be powered off more often powered on more often than the other machines so you

Won’t have access to this chest all the time although you could set up a shoot or anything you want this is the setup that i came up with so now that we have the wheat flour here we’re going to press the button once now what happens

Is you have wheat flour placed here and nothing placed there now this is all done via filters this filter here tells this deployer to only work with bread and dough and this deployer only works with wheat flour so now that we’ve placed um and now this is the final step of the manual

Startup process so now that the dough is done we just have to press the button one more time what you’ll see is we got flour here we got dough here and we have a content observer waiting for this dough to turn into bread the moment it turns into bread it activates the

Machine again drops another wheat flour here it drops another dough here and the bread goes into this chest which is getting added here so you’ll see it’s actually a pretty quick passive bread maker it’s very cool i think because it doesn’t use a lot of shoots and funnels and everything can be super

Compact now just so you know this is something that i’m only noticing right now is that this deployer is not doing anything this was before when i had them stacked on top of each other but that proved to be a bit too complicated but yeah this is it the cool

Part about it is that the rotation you need is just water wheel a single water wheel powering the two fans and the crusher and then everything else is not requiring any rotation which i think this can save on a lot of stress units when you are starting on in the game and

I know that deployers chassis and all of these things are kind of cheap the content observer isn’t super cheap but um it still makes the machine pretty cool now this like i said is only a prototype for this technology which i use to create some really cool machines like an

Item sorter that uses zero rotation and has a 100 accuracy no lag no anything like that and i also created an item search engine so if you’re curious about these two stick around and we’ll go look at them right now and this right here is a crazy item

Sorter that i had you know i had a random thought could this be possible turns out yes it’s super possible it’s super cheap and it is actually a lot faster than you would think it is now i apologize for these opengl errors i don’t know what they’re about

Hopefully i’ll figure them out at some point but anyway right here this is how this thing works you open this intake chest and press your two whatever blocks and wait for them to go all the way down and as you see the system has already starting started sorting them you see the orange

Is falling here the purple is falling here it does them one at a time so that’s kind of the limitation however no matter how many items you place in there they will be sorted simultaneously because the filters are set in the deployers and whenever the machine works

It sends a signal now the way this machine works is that whenever an item is present in this chest is going to fire up this comparator a comparator basically just comes on whenever there are any items in the chest the signal strength that comes out of it changes

Based on how many items there are but we’re not really using that feature right now we’re just detecting if there’s anything in there so you can technically place your items directly in there and what this will do is it sends a signal whenever the signal is sent

Into this target block it activates the whole contraption and what that does is that it actually separates this chest because it’s hooked up to the contraption which turns off the comparator so it comes out turns on does it again and every single time it’s powering on the deployers are using

Whatever items that are in the chest based on the filters set on them to place them on these deployers which then place them in these chests so it’s a very simple system i don’t know if it’s super practical but again i really like it because it doesn’t take rotation

And it’s thus far the best rotation free item sorter that i made because the ones that i made before could kind of have lag or could have a lot of overflow of items once the chests are full but this is just um perfect and you can actually

Hook it up to a silo system from the top so these can be columns of chess and it would continue to work perfectly well but other than that i’m very proud of this build i’d like to hear your opinion about it maybe if you see any downsides to it

Something that i can fix or improve um or if you would actually consider using this a lot at all in survival considering conveyor belts and shoots and all of these other simple components and finally this right here is the item search engine that i told you about now this

Was very weird and i really did not think it would work um and even as i got it to work it did not come out perfect because unfortunately if you’re trying to look for a certain item you have to place six blocks of that item in here now you’re not going to

Lose these blocks they’re going to return right into this chest but it’s kind of a downside if you’re looking for something that you don’t have any of this is not gonna work for you but basically now that i place these six items i can press the button

Um and it tells us that we have purple blocks in here um it also works if you have the blocks in two of the chests so let’s see if i go in here and i place six uh let’s take out the purple so we don’t confuse the system

Press the button and as you see we have purple in here and purple in here and you can search orange i’m sorry uh it’s we search for orange not purple so the system works pretty well it’s very cool and i’m working really hard to come up with one where i can only place

A single block it’s going to require some movement and that’s why i kind of held on that but other than that this is fully functional now just to explain to you real quick all of these repeaters and cables should not intimidate you because they’re basically just pointing the content observers that

Point at the chest to the lamps that are at the front all the magic is happening in this chassis assembler system whenever we play press the button right here the repeater powers this system and assembles everything now the moment everything is assembled what happens is as we know the items will be grabbed

From the chest and we need six because we’re searching six chests what that’s going to do is going to power the deployers that are sitting against the chassis there’s one here there’s one here and so on there’s one for each single chest and what that does is going to grab the

Blocks that we have here and it’s going to set them as the filter for these content observers and so that discovery was what made this possible is that a deployer can set a filter on one of these only when it’s pointed at it from the top so immediately we’re setting these filters

It’s gonna pop these lights on and the cool thing and the bad thing is the filters in the content observers don’t actually need a block so they remain on but now we need to get rid of the blocks that are in the deployer because they stay here and what

Happens is whenever the system is on these shoots disconnect from the system because they’re not connected to any chassis allowing the deployers to go ahead and set the filters and then the system goes off right away and these blocks these uh shoots or funnels will immediately become

Connected to the deployers and will send everything up to this set of chests which will drop the items in these hoppers which will take everything back to the input chest now sometimes it gets stuck the items don’t get back but don’t worry about that you just have to do

Another test i haven’t yet figured out where the items are getting stuck but they don’t always get stuck now let’s look at it from the top so you’ll see the moment the system turns off the items will fly up there there it is we saw a little purple down here

Um and the items should come back um and usually whenever you have something stuck and you do another search everything comes back even from the previous search so again i don’t know how practical this is or if anyone’s going to want to build it but if you’d

Like to see a more advanced search engine let me know um i will spend the time to develop this either way but i want to see how excited you are about it and if you are excited then i’ll make sure it happens faster now this ladies and gentlemen is not all

I actually do have two more machines one of them is similar to these setups and one of them is just like a small bonus i don’t think it’s the best but it could be very useful so let’s go ahead and look at the last two machines and we’ll be done

This here is a bulk crafting table now i’ve used these crafters mechanical crafters before and i didn’t really come up with a lot of ways to automate things easily with it you know it works but only if you have a very specific setup to create a very specific thing and i

Wanted to come up with a way to bulk craft anything and this was the result it really is just a series of funnels and shoots and whatever to make sure that the top grid matches this grid all you have to do is kind of face this way

Back way so this is what you’re looking at here is a regular crafting table um you have to put in the recipe and then fill in the stoppers uh for the crafting mechanical crafters to make sure that everything is crafted correctly but now i can show you that we can actually well

Let’s craft two diamonds so at least we are making sure that we’re getting the full scope of how this thing works so we’re gonna put two here and as you see they get sucked in right away we’re gonna put two here and then we put two diamonds here we put two diamonds here

And then we put two diamonds here and now you should see the process start i’m using a creative motor because i’m too impatient to use a fan that takes forever but as you see the pickaxe get gets crafted it gets deposited in the chest and now you have something else so you

Can use this to bulk craft anything you need simply by setting the stoppers appropriately and as you’ll see the stoppers actually don’t disappear so you can even just set them from the front without bothering putting the stoppers in the boxes is that what they’re called craft

Slot cover that’s what it is i’ve been calling them stoppers that’s what i was referring to um so you can like i said put them in the front and then you can you know build a farm for example that connects to the chests you need to supply things

With and you will have a bulk crafter that can craft any anything you want just after very simple configuration so i thought this was you know it’s a lot simpler than the things that i’ve shown you today but i think it’s pretty useful to have now finally

This here is a very important machine uh you might notice from the way it’s built um you might have already guessed that this is a mob farm i’ve set it up with what do you call them spawners because i’m not very good at creating farms without spawners that actually generate

Anything but as you see i have a zombie spawner and i have a skeleton spawner in there and i have this little setup here for the overflow so let me explain everything we have the cart set up exactly like we did with the tree farm and the wheat farm

And we have deployers set to break mode now the reason i have diamond pickaxes set up here is not so that i can use them you actually don’t need to put anything in these hands but i put the diamond pickaxes so that the deployers don’t pick up random arrows as

Sticks from the floor and stop killing the mobs so this is all you need here once these move they’re gonna start punching and they’re gonna start killing the mobs anything that is directly killed by the deployer is going to come back and be deposited in here but sometimes

As you know with mobs like if you hit them a lot and weaken them and then they die a second later and those don’t count as deployer kills and in that case um i have set up this really simple rig right here so that as the deployers kind of move in they’re

Going to push everything it’s going to fall here and you’ll get a bunch of stuff in here as well now the really cool thing about this is that this thing generates xp i don’t know if that’s usually the case with mob grinders i always thought that you have

To kill them yourself to get the xp but it looks like this is not the case with deployers and i’ll show you right now all you have to do is stand here i have this little spot it’s not very elegant but you sit by the chest

Now we’re gonna set the time to midnight uh we’re gonna set the game to survival and we’re gonna set the difficulty to heart and this way uh basically we’re already starting to hear the mobs uh now i’m kind of scared about going outside but i’m gonna go

Just flick this on and then come back before everybody comes and attacks me um and now uh we should as you see things are happening um also the mobs that get killed by skeleton arrows are also going to drop on the floor so these are some of the

Things we get here now if i stand here the xb collection might happen quickly even if the xp gets gathered on the other side and doesn’t get pushed really quickly eventually it will make it so if we wait here just a few seconds the xp will start coming in and honestly even

If you don’t see it coming in fast sometimes it just comes in a huge burst because a bunch of xp points kind of gather on the floor until the deployers push them in very slowly now what’s happening how come i am not seeing um oh god oh god this is dangerous

Um oh we can look from here it’s kind of taking them a bit to get killed but eventually they will there it is and that’s the xp coming in Now it looks like because i have my game sounds kind of messed up we’re not hearing the xp coming in which is the most satisfying thing but uh this farm generates a lot of xp like you see a little bit coming in right now but i’m pretty sure there’s a bunch that’s

Accumulated over there and eventually these deployers will push them i stood here and i got massive amounts of xp in just a couple of minutes as you see we’re on level four already you don’t need to do anything it’s perfectly afk um i don’t think you need to make it this big
