What’s up everyone how you all doing a blue node here and welcome back to another minecraft a building tips video today we’re going to be taking a look at five simple minecraft house designs and these are going to be kind of like survival friendly starter houses some Will use some resources that might be slightly harder to gather like bricks but these can be done early game still even though they’re slightly difficult now these houses are all going to fit in a 7 by 7 block space and that’s going to be for just the main box of the house But we will be expanding around them as we go along and we’re going to dive straight in guys and we’re gonna do this in a form of a time lapse so first of all we started with a simple survival house and one is very similar to what i’ve been building in the lower Class area of our docks now this is simply made up of cobblestone stone bricks and some plain stone blocks and the walls just a kind of um just textured so just go random with the blocks i do aim to go for some cobblestone on the lower part of the Walls and stone and and the side blocks more to the higher parts of the wall now for the roof we went ahead and used some spruce blocks again this is an easy material to gather up with a little stone brick chimney on the side now notice i know that bricks are a little Bit awkward to gather up at the beginning again but it’s very easy to find a small river just to gather up some clay so it shouldn’t take too long now out of all of these builds guys i always say that it’s the small details that make the difference so you could Build a very plain box build as most of these are very small and boxy but it’s all the little details that really kind of create a bit of life and bring the builds together you know adding things like chimneys little flower boxes little shutters on the windows a little Platform in front of your put in front of the doorway so it looks like a small porch some greenery and leaves you know little things like that they all add to the atmosphere of the build so whether you’re building a large build or a small build always concentrate on the small details Now for the second build here guys i decided to go with a kind of a planes of village sort of style of build and i think it would fit really well in this kind of biome um it’s fairly simple the design here was again it’s a simple box We’ve got a little stairway that leads up to the first floor and this is going to be the main entrance there will be a stairway inside that leads down into the lower part of the house but overall guys i’m actually really happy with the way this one turned out we’ve got four Points on all on each side of the build so every side has a little point on the roof and again guys this again it’s going with all those little small details adding in some planks in with the stripped oak wood to kind of make a little bit of a texture variation there Putting some shutters on the windows um you know just messing around with the blocks a little bit in a minute we will go ahead and put a chimney on the side of the build as well and i know a lot of people say that bricks aren’t a survival Friendly sort of item together and they’re not when you’re gathering them in a large portion when you’re gathering loads but in small portions and for a small house they actually don’t take that long to gather up you know just gather up a bit of clay in the water Smelt it in a furnace and then combine them into bricks it’s really not too hard to do early game now as you can see guys the front here we’ve got a little balcony as well which really kind of brings this build to life and then we just went ahead and just Added in a few extra details like a little pathway down the side here that connects the little overhang and the stairways a little flower pot at the front here as well just to add a bit of life to the build and that’s pretty much it you know There’s not an awful lot to these builds but like i say it’s just creating a small little build and just showing you what you can really do with it because whether it’s a small build or a large build you know you can really bring it to life and if you’re making a large Village with all these sort of builds you know you can make a huge variety of stuff now with the next one i did decide to go ahead and use the bricks and again guys yes i know it’s bricks but that like i said we’re only using a small amount of Them so it should be easy enough to get if you are playing along in survival now for the roof here i’ve gone for i don’t know if you would consider this spanish or italian or roman what is kind of a very just very small almost villa sort of style build So we went with a spruce wood for the top enough as you can see we’ve just basically bring it to a point in the center and we’ve used some trapdoors around the edges just to make it expand that little bit further without making it look too bulky On the side here we’ve got a little chimney and i will go ahead and texture the cobblestone up in a minute but for the moment we’ve got a two block wired chimney and then using two upside down stairs at the top just to give a bit of Shape to the top of it and of course we’ve got our campfires in there to create a nice little effect there on the front we’ve gone ahead and used some more trapdoors to make a little kind of overhang on the porch way there using the spruce wood at the bottom as Well really kind of helps create a nice little platform and entrance way into the build and then again just adding in a pathway a little decorative overhang at the side using the campfires now the campfires are a great block not only just for you know for making smoke And making chimneys but you can also put the fires out and make nice little overhangs because those little logs looked you know they make like a little kind of trellis at the top of it so it’s a really cool block to use in game now for this one guys we decided to go With a sort of desert theme build and here i’m going with a very simple sort of style build and probably a sort of style that you see fairly often um this is just using the sandstone smooth sandstone a little bit of chiseled in there as well but not too Many of them they’re more so for the corners to look like they’re more supported so they’re supporting the build and then some oak logs that are kind of cross-beamed through the build now i decided to make the cross beams extend out and make a little porch on The side of the build as well and again using a bit of spruce wood in there to make a nice little platform just to make the entranceway again more interesting and create a little bit of extra life now again for builds like this guys i really love adding in leaves i find that Leaves and bushes are a great way of just adding in a little bit of life and just creating that sort of change of color because sometimes when you’ve got builds like deserts and stuff like that you just get too much sand and too much sort of that that creamy sort of color Tone so it’s nice to get in a bit of greenery even using a few cactuses at the front of the build as you can see we’ve got a couple of them in there and um yeah i think it really just helps add that little bit of life to it Now this one i did mess around with a little bit with the design and as of all the other builds guys we do have interiors inside these as well which will showcase at the end of the video now moving on to the last one at the end Here this one i decided to go for a kind of a lower class japanese sort of build something that you might see in um in like a small farming village i guess in in like a japanese oriental style and i’m really glad with the way this One kind of turned out i see this picture before of a small house kind of like this with like a tiered level of um farms i’m not sure where where it was i see i think i see it on reddit or might have even been on pinterest something like that Um and i had these layered farms going around the house and i really like the idea of it so i try to kind of mimic a similar design of myself and i think it just looks really cool it’s a nice little starter house because you’ve got the farms built onto the House and then at the roof here as well i really like this little peak roof it looks extra good on a small build for some reason i don’t know why the smaller the build that peaked roof really sort of stands out but i’m really glad with the way this Roof shapes up it looks pretty cool and there’s again guys it’s not too hard to do this sort of roof in survival a bit more tricky to do than you would in uh doing a standard stair roof but you know it just adds a little bit of character to the build Anyway guys other than that we’ve just added in some greenery and details and that’s about it so with that being said let’s go ahead and take a closer look at all these builds on our fee and in-game all right guys let’s go ahead and take a Look at the first designer so this one is a very similar to the design that we’ve been using in our medieval docks recently for the lower class housing and it’s a pretty simple design we basically have a seven by seven box as with all of these houses they all start With a seven by seven box so we’ve used the same base for all of them now this one here is a really simple we’ve basically got cobblestone stone andesite and stone bricks and kind of textured up the build we’ve got a little overhang at the front Here which is using the old campfire and then we’ve got the fences at the side here so it looks like a little kind of um little entrance porch as you go in to the side here we’ve got a little garden with some leafs going over some Fences to make it look like a little archway and of course we’ve got some crops growing in here looking pretty good we’ve also put some of the bamboo just around the back for a little bit of decoration and a couple of trees around there as well just to kind of make the Builder stand out a little bit now the design like i said is very simple we’ve got the little chimney at the side here we’ve got the spruce stairs and slabs for the roof so basically we go stair stair and then a slab and then some blocks in the center like so Just to create a nice archway for the roof but like i said guys always go ahead and use plenty of greenery add some leaves bushes flowers and little details just to really make a build because for a little build i actually really like this one i think it’s turned out nice and i Love all of the extra little details even though they’re not that much but just a little small details now this one guys is a pretty small little house there’s not much to it here so we’ve got a little kitchen here we’ve got a furnace we’ve got electron upside Down here to kind of look a bit like an extractor we’ve got a little sink here our brewing stand there’s some barrels for storage in the corner here we’ve got a fireplace and this is a common one which i often use and one i showed off in my last video for bedroom ideas Basically using a brick stair for going one way and then the other campfire in the corner two stairs on top and then just make a little shape at the top for the pathway out for the chimney over here we’ve got a barrel on top of a crafting table A slab over here and then we’ve used some trapdoors to seal off the edge for a bed so we can simply climb up and asleep in the bed here and that’s about it for the interior in this one guys like i said it is a very Small in here and you could probably do a lot more but it’s nice and simple and it’s a good little starter house to get you started with in-game now with that being said guys let’s go ahead and take a look at design number two okay design number two goes for Something a little bit bigger so we kind of made this one into well pretty much into three floors actually guys it’s pretty compact but we have got three floors inside here and again we’ve gone ahead and we started out with cobblestone and stone mixed at the bottom we’ve got a little Stairway that leads up to the first floor which is our main entrance for this build we’ve also got a little balcony here to add a bit of detail to the side a little flower pot down the side here with some vines going up to add that bit Of greenery a chimney on the side of the build here again just to add another bit of detail to the build and i can imagine a little village in this design looking really nice i really like the way this one looks we’ve got a little workstation area Underneath the side here so we’ve got this little overhang we’ve got a smiffing bench a stone car and a couple of stone cutters down here and some barrels for some storage in that as well but it’s all full of details really more than anything now as for the upper part of build you Can see we’ve gone ahead and used these strips oak wood and we’ve put in some planks just for a little bit of texture we’ve also got some spruce trap doors in it for shutters and near some of the windows at the back here we’ve got some little window ledges sticking out and um Yeah that’s about it a little flower pot down the back but that is pretty much all of the details for the outside of the house guys it’s simple but i think it looks really cool now if we head on the inside guys i haven’t done too much with the build It’s like i said it’s not really an awful lot of room but you know i think it looks pretty good so as we come in we’ve got a little check table and some chairs on the side here we’ve got a little crafting station over in the Corner and then some storage on the side here with a little walkway that goes downstairs here we’ve got a door that leads us onto the little balcony and then if we go down this first day here we can actually go up the ladder and up to the top floor we’ve got a Bedroom up here with a bed a few chests an anvil just a couple of basic things for survival nothing much up here um that’s about it for up here if we go all the way downstairs we’ve got a little fireplace down here and this kind of feels a little bit like a Almost like a sitting room but almost like a storeroom as well so we’ve got a furnace down here a little bit of storage um we’ve got our fireplace we’re using the last house another little table and almost down with nothing on a picture and yeah just that’s about it Guys this is it’s nice and simple in here um but i really do like this little build i think it’s a really cool design and something i might use in the future in maybe a little village build maybe a planes village maybe we go ahead and just make up our Own planes a village or even revamp one in a kind of style like this you know lots of greenery and lots of little details i think it’d be really cool now with that being said guys that’s about it for build number two let’s take a look at build number three All right guys now build number three again is a very simple design but i really like this design i’ve got a thing recently with bricks i really like bricks and i really want to build up more with bricks and um add them into the builds a lot more So for this one it’s a very simple little house i guess it’s kind of spanish slash italian kind of style i’m not really too sure to be honest but that’s what i kind of feel from this build now at the side here guys we’ve got some of our little berry bushes A little overhang at the siding which looks a bit like a trellis with some vines going up here and we’ve used the campfire for the top here and then just some fences to hold it up and then a little land and underneath to light up the area And that’s about here for the details on the side at the front of the build here we’ve got a nice little entrance way we’ve used the spruce wood to make a little kind of platform um a little fence gate fences here with the fence post coming up and some spruce Trap doors across the top and that makes a really nice entrance way and then where the door is here we’ve gone ahead and used a spruce trap doors as a back in rather than a block and then we’ve gone ahead and put some spruce trap doors on the sides as well To add a little bit of detail as well these windows at the top here are actually done with slabs so we’ve got a slab on the bottom and a slab on the top so it’s actually a two block gap so nothing can kind of go through there so It’s a it’s kind of a closed space you know but it works it does the job now around the side here we’ve got a chimney again two blocks wide for this one guys with a couple of chimneys in the top some upside down stairs at the Very top as well just adding in a little bit of detail the roof has got that nice little edging around the side here and we’ve got the trapdoors just to give us that little extra bit of space some upside down stairs on every other block underneath just to make the roof Look a little bit more sort of thicker at the bottom but thinner at the edge you know it gives it that nice bit of depth and that’s about it really there’s not there’s not a lot of detail to this one but i think it really works we’ve combined the um The granny and the polish granite in with the brick as well to give it a nice bit of texture on the walls now if we head on the inside let’s open up the door and we’re going inside here and again very simple in here we’ve got A little table and chairs we’ve got some little sort of stations that might be needed like as a grinder a stone car crafting table a loom some furnaces some barrels for storage an anvil up there some more storage on the shelves and again i think it looks pretty cool Up here if we come up this ladder here we’ve got a um we’ve got our bed up the top here so we can actually go up and sleep in the bed if we want to um and yeah other than that guys i guess it’s Up to you if you would like to add more to this but i’ve kept this one very simple on the inside again a few paintings just to make it look a little bit nicer um but yeah it looks really cool i was thinking about breaking some holes In the roof and bringing the vines in as well i think that will probably work really well or bring the leafs in lava i think it would look really well on this build um uh but you know i left as it is for now i think it looks good as it is but Yeah again guys a nice little simple build but it works really well and the bricks ain’t too much to gather up either we haven’t used an awful lot of them so you won’t need to gather up much clay so yeah i guess that’s just about it for this one guys Let’s go ahead and take a look at design number four okay guys this one takes us into the desert theme and this is a style i don’t really use it very much and something i’d actually like to do a bit more work with in the future So for this one we’ve gone ahead and made again a simple little square build we’ve got the chiseled stone sandstone for the edges on the sides on the corners to make it look a bit more supported and then we’ve combined the sandstone and smooth sandstone to make a nice texture for the wall Now out of front here we’ve got a little kind of flower pot i’ve put some sand behind it and then some chisel sandstone around the edge with some slabs on top and then a couple of the sides just to make it look a little bit more detailed The windows we went ahead and used some oak trapdoors and then some spruce trap doors on the outside we’ve made a crossover beam that goes across right through the entire build and some more windows down the back here at the side here we’ve got a little overhang which combines the oak logs out From the side of the build along with some spruce signs to make it almost look like a kind of um a bit like a trellis you know the kind of overruns for you to kind of weave um kind of vines in and out of on and Stuff like that so okay that was kind of the design i was going for and i think it looks pretty good um and again guys this one is a very simple build and then inside all we’ve got in here is just a little bit of details really Nothing too crazy we’ve got a couple of beds in here so you could use this as a kind of multiplayer base if you wanted we’ve got some of our barrels at the side here for storage a little kitchen here with some more barrels a couple of workstations A furnace a crafting table brewing stand the loom you know coffin table over there again and a little flat a little cactus on display there just to make it look a little bit nicer up here we can come up open up this little trapdoor and if we go around the trap door there We go we can actually get on to the roof which is pretty simple there’s nothing much to the roof we’ve used the sandstone walls just to make that little kind of castle looking top you know but keeping it flat so it fits with the desert thing And guys that’s about it for this one let’s go ahead and take a look at our fifth and final design in e in the oriental style okay guys for this one i’ve gone for a fairly simple little design here it feels like a kind of japanese little Farming house you know something kind of out in a little kind of sort of lower lower class sort of area i think it looks really car really like the design for it now we’ve gone ahead and used the strip spruce for all of the pillars and The stripped oak for the walls and then of course we got the spruce for the roof as well now for this one guys i didn’t go too crazy with any of the designs we’ve got the standard kind of oriental kind of a curved up roof that points at the Corners here we’ve got a lantern on the corner with a couple of fences again just adding in a nice bit of shape here for the roof here and then we’ve got a pointed sensor that goes quite high for a small build but i think it just really Makes it look really nice gives it almost a temple feel but on a very small scale now other sides we went ahead and added in a few farms as well and as you can see we put in a lantern right in the middle there to keep the mobs out although i don’t think Mobs actually spawn on farmland but it keeps mobs out of the area nonetheless and each platform is also raised so we’ve raised it by a half a block all the way around by about four block all the way around as you can see and yeah i think it works really cool Now this one is a very small inside guys just like the others so there’s not an awful lot on the interior but if we quickly come on to the inside here i’ve tried to make a decent sort of star sort of interior on here so a little table We got some storage with our barrels a furnace a um cauldron over here we’ve got some crafting tables a bruin stand nothing really too crazy we come up here we’ve got the trapdoors for the ceiling here guys now the reason i use the trapdoors is to save on space But it also allows us to put carpet on the top so the carpet being there actually stops us from being able to accidentally open any of these trapdoors then up here we’ve got a little bit more room for some storage and we’ve got some workstations here we’ve got a bed over In a corner and more storage in this corner an anvil and more storage so yeah it’s again guys we’re working with very simple designs here but we’re only limited on the space here we haven’t got much room to really go crazy with but something like these designs are perfect for someone who’s just Starting out minecraft and wants to just get a quick base up and running something that’s simple but something that looks nice at the same time you know i think it’s always nice when you make your style base rather than going too simple making a cave base or Something like that it’s always nice to start off with a simple little design but something that looks nice as well and something that you can maybe add to and build with something that you can extend into a little village or a little town and that’s why i’ve kind of gone with These designs to kind of maintain something that you could build a village in theme with you know so like this one would be like an oriental theme this one would be a desert theme you know maybe an italian or spanish theme this one here would work really well in A plains biome this one over here is kind of again a little kind of rustic build somewhere that would fit in either by a swamp or maybe even in a spruce wood sort of area or something like that i think it would be really good and um Yeah i’ve tried to keep the designs simple enough that it’s something that could be built in survival and built early game as well um but guys it’s entirely up to you whether you guys want to build them or go with them or if you want to use them Um if you’d like to see a tutorial on how to do a particular design please let me know in the comments i’m always up for doing tutorials and i’ve got a bunch more tutorials on the channel and more coming very soon i’ve been working on so many tutorials Recently so there are going to be loads of them on the way anyway guys we’re gonna go ahead and wrap it up just there so as always i thank you guys so much for watching if you did enjoy
