Minecraft 8×8 Castle Tutorial [How To Build]

Well hello everybody and welcome back to another minecraft video this is mythical sausage how is everybody – and Manuel back again doing another minecraft video and today we’re back in our eight by eight world through in another eight by eight plot size build and today if you

See right behind us we’re doing this cool little tiny little starter castle and it’s so amazing we were able to fit a bunch of stuff inside this 8×8 and it’s so much fun you could fit this in your regular minecraft or even in Minecraft earth we also did that really

Cool little starter house in the last episode so check that out in the playlist is in the description but right now let’s get this castle started and here we go with the block palette you’re gonna be eating some stone break stone brick stairs stone brick slabs some cobble cobble wall some stone and

Samantha site and a bunch of spruce alright and here we go with the dimensions 8 by 8 super simple we’re gonna build everything within this 8 by 8 plot size we’re not allowed to do any kind of overhangs outside this frame so everything is within this box right here

So for starters it’s go right-handers quarter we’re gonna be using nothing but stone brick for right now and then we’ll come back and texture with all that loveliness over there but for right now let’s do a small little tower bit on the corner and we’re gonna do it right here

From the edge so we’re gonna go one two and three here turn this corner another one and two this corner one and two and filled in that little cap looking like a little donut right there look how cool then next up let’s take this out right

Here we’re gonna go back one two and on the third one right here on this edge we’re gonna go down we’re gonna go one two three four and five take it all the way down then we’re gonna turn this corner here so there’s a one so two three four and five

And then we’re gonna turn this corner from here it’s a one so two three four five six seven and then eight alright we’re gonna come in on this angle so leave this little gap right there we’re put nice little Bush in that corner and then go one two and three just like so

Then I’m gonna put one of the pop-out over here to match this little pop-out on that side and then it’s go all the way to the end right here we’re gonna do a little pop-out here in this corner and then we’re gonna do our back Tower and this one

Just gonna put right here a 1 & 2 for right now so just leave that there now let’s go back to the front I’m gonna do a little bit of a pop-up right here we’re gonna go out one just one right there and then here we’re gonna go out 1

& 2 here we’re gonna go out 1 & 2 so that’s gonna be a little entrance right here on the inside now let’s go ahead from this corner right here on this edge right here so from this is one on the third on the second one right here we’re

Gonna go up by six more so total of seven from this block so it’s a 1 2 3 3 4 5 6 & 7 just like so then watch this we’re gonna take it in by 1 and then up by 1 in by 1 then out by 1 and then

We’re gonna come back down and go in down like so and make that little step pattern and then connect to this edge all the way here so that’s the start of that perfect now let’s mirror this on this side so we’re gonna go right from

This edge right here take it in by 1 so we’re not gonna touch this part because we’re gonna do that tower but so from this edge take it in by 1 right on this line and take it up matching right what we did right there so technically that’s

An 8 because this one over here was a 7 so right from here and then we’re gonna go in and up down just like so and match that in so we’re gonna just match it and go straight down like so now right here we’re gonna put a snare facing down a

Stair facing down here stair on this side I’m gonna come back to this end we’re gonna put a stair right here and then let’s continue with this part of the wall so for this part of the wall we’re gonna do that a little bit of a

Pop out here but first off let’s seal this part in so right now we’re gonna get rid of those two all right now from this side let’s go ahead and lift this tower bit up it’s gonna be easy to do this tower once we connect to this so

Right here we’re gonna take this is already a 1 so let’s call total of 8 so 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 & 8 here we’re gonna give it a space of 1 just put one up from there and then here we’re gonna go up 1

2 3 4 5 6 7 & 8 we’re gonna put a little stair right here so on the third hold 1 2 and 3 and then we’re gonna take it 1 2 3 and on the fourth we’re gonna put a stair so it’s gonna be 1 2 3 high window right

There then we’re gonna go ahead seal that up right on the corner let’s go ahead and on this I will do the same thing so one up a little stair matching exactly what we did here and then we’re gonna give it one two three right on the

Same line we’re gonna go boom put a little upset on stairs so we have a three block gap window and they come back and let’s close this off right there then let’s come back on this end and I’m just gonna seal this up for now but we are gonna break up this little

Piece here to get on the inside part but for right now just to seal it let’s just take it all the way up right here cover this up and then cover that little bit up right there on the corner just like so now next thing we’re gonna do we’re

Gonna grab some stairs and I’m gonna put some stairs right in the center of it’s right here all the way around stairs around the corner like so and then walls in between just like so all right now leave that there for now and we’ll do the tower

After we connect the other part so next up we’re gonna come on the inside here and we’re gonna lift up some walls so we’re gonna actually go in from right here on this corner and take it up another there’s already one so two three four five and six just one less than

That one then we’re gonna go ahead and give this a space of one all right here is a one at level one two three on the fourth one we’re gonna come down all the way and connect to that part of the wall I’m gonna lift that up and then here we

Have a one two three block gap space to get in but then we’re gonna connect this part up together just like so now here we’re gonna lift this up so there’s already a one so two three and four get on this corner is a one two three and

Four I’m gonna put an upside down stair here upset downstairs here a slab on each corner bit and then a stair on this side and this side so that is our entrance to get inside the castle now let’s come over here on the back part and we’re gonna lift up some stuff so

Right here let’s start on this corner so right from this edge is already one so two three four five and six one two three four five and six and then we can go ahead and start working on this Tower of it but before we do let’s get this

Little corner bit one two three four five well technically and six so we have that all set up ready to go now for this tower bed we’re gonna go up by thirteen so let’s our County these are already one so two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve and

Thirteen now the way we have this tower set up it’s a two and then a two and A two and the two so let’s do like this so this is already those twos are up by thirteen here we’re gonna take this up so one and two this use a placeholder

Block one and two get rid of that and here we’re gonna use this as a placeholder well no there’s actually a block this is a one and two so let’s just take this little bit all the way up until we get to the thirteenth and then

We’ll go ahead and do the details once we get up to the top so it’s gonna go up just like so perfect we’re set up now next thing we want to do is let’s go ahead and put some stairs we’re gonna play some downwards here on top of these

Downwards here downwards on this one and then also downwards there and I’m gonna put some upside down stairs on these corners here and here and then on this side and on this side right there it’s gonna look like this from the top then super simple we’re gonna go ahead and

Put full blocks on the corner bits like so and then the next thing we’re gonna do is we’re gonna grab some stairs and facing inwards and inwards like this giving you that cool little castle II look we’re gonna put them inwards like this on every one of these stairs that

We just placed we’re gonna look like this from the top now the next thing I’m gonna do let’s grab some of our spruce stairs and connect from one side to the next just like this let’s see if you could sneak in there perfect and then on the top here we’re gonna put slabs

Connecting the top Center bed of that roof then from this side we’re gonna go with stairs again here and here and that should connect to the tower and over here we don’t have to worry about anything cuz the towers already connected to that part right there then

Next up we’re gonna grab some slabs and go one two three and four right there grab our trapdoors and put that on top and then trapdoors on top of that so we have this little overhanging bit there alright now let’s work on this tower roof so for this one it’s gonna be just

Like so let’s put a placeholder really quick I’m gonna put some upside down stairs and these upside down stairs it’s gonna pretty much rotate upside down all the way around give you a cool little border on top and it’s gonna look like so then next up we’re gonna go ahead and

Put some stairs one facing this direction towards the castle another one here repeat it on this side so one here and here there we go it should look like this then we’re gonna put upside down stairs in the little middle gaps just like so then next up we’re going to go ahead and

Put some stairs facing forward right here all the way around of almost upside down stairs we just placed then on the inside we’re gonna put a whoa we could put a placeholder or full block in the inside or you can put a slab it doesn’t really matter on the inside part I’m

Gonna put a full block then I’m gonna put one and two full planks there and then trapdoors surrounding on that section of the plank and then I’m gonna grab some buttons for extra added detail you can put any button but I’m gonna go with the oak one and we’re gonna

Surround this right here around the top then I’m gonna grab some fences and we’re gonna go from here up one two and three just like so so we got ourselves a cool little Tower right there now the next bit of detail we’re gonna do we’re gonna put some walls and we’re gonna put

Them right on top of every one of these sections right here on the top bits of that roof and then we’re also gonna do it on this side I’m going all the way around and back down cool thing about having that stair there it doesn’t connect to that wall as well now the

Next thing we’re gonna do they set up this part of the wall so for right here we’re gonna go with some upside down stairs right here one two three and then we’re gonna do that cool little recessed end section of the wall but first off

We’re gonna go up one two and three on the fourth one right here we’re gonna put an upside down upside down stair connect that wall in then we’re gonna come on the inside and just put spruce let’s go ahead and lay it all down really quickly like so but we’re gonna

Punch out one and two right there let’s put the upset wall regular stair here and an upset downstairs right on there and we have ourselves a two high window I went with light blue glass you put any glass really but I like the way that looks and then here I’m gonna just mix

In maybe a little bit of strips just like so little strips spruce I’m gonna put some trapdoors on any one of these side so I can go ahead with one and two right there so we have a nice little recessed in wall and then it’s go on

This side before we do though we’re ready here why not just go one two and three with glass one two and three with a glass now usually I would put some trap door shutters on this side but we can’t just because we can’t pass this line so no shutters on

On the outside there so on this side I’m gonna have a small window so right here from the top so this is a one on this second one in the middle I’m gonna put stare and then go one and two put another upside down stair here I’m just

Gonna fill in the rest of the gaps like so here we’re gonna put our window and then here we could put shutters because we’re still recessed in so we can put it really on any side I’m gonna go right here and here on that side now we’re

Almost done with a castle the only thing we need is to finish this front door so for this one I’m gonna go ahead and just replace this right here we’ll just do some oak all the way around right here on the bottom and then on the inside

Part you know what I’m gonna remove these two blocks right in front of those stairs I’m gonna go with some spruce I’m gonna just take it down by one and just one and then here we’re gonna go with the stair facing this way let’s tear facing this direction I’m gonna grab our

Trapdoors put two here and two here then I’m gonna go on the inside well no from here we’re gonna put our doors with one here one here let’s make sure they’re facing the right direction we still have this little gap right there for this one we could do two things you can either

Put these trapdoors which go flush and look just like that or you can put really another kind of trapdoors this one also looks pretty good but you can reach up to you guys what you want to use you can go with the oak trapdoor and it gives you a different texture it

Looks pretty good as well just like that now one of the last things we’re gonna do would it do that cool little flag that comes out right there so for this one from the very top of this tower it’s a 1 2 3 on the 4th one we’re gonna put a

Fence right here take it one more down I’m gonna get a fence gate put it right next to the top and then another fence outside then we’re gonna grab any kind of wool I’m gonna put one down let’s grab this one take it one more down I’m

Gonna replace this with a white and then I’m gonna take this out as a placeholder and put another one here and it looks like the flag is kind of like moving it with the with the wind and now the last thing we’re gonna do we’re gonna put

Some trap doors right here I’m gonna put one in two and then one and two on this side so we have ourselves a nice little stop for this now this is completely done you’re finished but you guys want to make it look cool like that let’s go ahead and do that

Really quick all we’re gonna do is just texture I’m gonna do this in different layers so towards the bottom we’re gonna keep our cobble right here towards the bottom and this is all randomized so you don’t have to do it exact I’m doing it and you don’t have to do it

Exactly you can do it really on any section you can just splatter it out but the way I have it going I have more my cobble towards the bottom so you’re broken blocks towards the the edges here on the bottom end and then as you go up

You’re gonna see less and less cobble like this I probably stop putting cowboy around this level but then after that we’re gonna be messing around and adding a little bit of smooth stones more towards the top and middle areas here so give it almost like a little bit of a

Gradient and we’re gonna take this all the way around like this now I’m also gonna be mixing a little bit of andesite and it’ll probably be like the middle block between the cobbles the stone and the stone breaks so it’ll probably be in the middle middle area right around here so I’m

Gonna go ahead and do that all the way around again you don’t have to do this part but it adds so much detail and so much interest it makes it your own and it makes it unique so I’m gonna go ahead and do it why not so give me a few

Seconds let me finish this off really quick and there you go look how awesome that looks when you add a little bit of texture now other things you can do to make it look a little more rustic and rundown is coming to certain spots and

Throw in some walls so you can add a couple walls in here maybe another one here on the side and look how much more broken that looks you can even add a couple stairs in certain random areas like this maybe another one even on the inside part here on the top and that

Breaks it up and makes it look a little bit more war-torn so that looks awesome I wouldn’t add any of these because it kind of looked through it unless you really want to make it broken but you could add stairs still gives you that little ruined look but it doesn’t have

You peeking through so you could do something like that also adding a little more walls and does the trick if you want to make a look a little cooler now next thing we’re gonna do here I got rid of this little part you can even put

Podzol here or coarse dirt well maybe a little bit of podzol and then on top I’m going to put some Bush I’m gonna get rid of that little bit and we’re just gonna put maybe a little bit of cobble here on this one more podzol and then here I’m

Gonna add a little bit more Bush action on each side and then if anything you could put maybe a wall here a little cobble wall and then you can add a little bit of light and we’re still within that 8×8 so you don’t have

To mess with it too much we put a little torch here and then if you come on this side we can add another one on this end so maybe a little bit of stone or the wall and another one of those torches and then here you can add maybe a little

Bit of a little path work going anything like that that looks cool so as far as interior you don’t have a lot of space to work with so number one I’m gonna get rid of those you’re gonna go ahead and push this back here I’m

Gonna go ahead and move this oh no not that one I’m gonna move this all the way down to the bottom like this maybe even texture it a little bit of spruce like that and then here we’re gonna cover up this whole area right here on the top

Just like so so cover up all that here now for this one we can get rid of this section I’m gonna go up by three right there push this in right like so and then get rid of that block and we can extend this and we can have ourselves a

Nice little area here actually this part we’re gonna have to get rid of that because it looks messed up but we have this whole thing looking pretty good now as far as decorating this interior there’s a couple options you guys have so number one thing I would do is a

Little bit of a separation a little divider right here up with some trapdoors here just one and two and take it up by three so it has this little divider right here which is pretty cool and it doesn’t have to be this trapdoor we can go with any trap door really but

I kind of like it cuz you can see through it a little bit so that’s cool over here I’m gonna have let’s get some stairs I’m gonna go with some dark oak stairs and I’m gonna put them upside down right here and one over here we have ourselves a nice little a little

Table right there that’s pretty cool then we need a way up there right so let’s grab a ladder it’s gonna take this ladder all the way up let’s actually take it right to this level so counting this is one two three four five six seven so at the seven right here I’m

Gonna get some slabs let’s put one two three just like so and then we can maybe even put you’re gonna get rid of that put a little trapdoor so we have a little spot right here and then we continue with a ladder going all the way

Up the same spot and that’ll take us down to here only thing I would just flip that I like that that’ll be pretty cool everybody did let’s flip them back this way so they look off fine there we go so they don’t go up like so so we have a

Little spot here so we have that set up then over here we can have a little bit of a tiny baby kitchen so I would just pretty much just put crafty here and then maybe you could even throw a furnace throw any kind of subpoena that’s fine and maybe

Even on the top you can do look a little chest so we got a little kitchen corner which is super awesome well be here you can’t really access so much so I would just pretty much just seal this up you don’t really need to see anything up

There and if anything just put a couple of traps tours there for just some added detail on the top yep that looks perfect and smoke it up you can fitted it and you can’t really take watch out you could take a couple more things out I

Think that’s it you can’t take much more out you can add if anything like a little double furnace double crafting or something or you can even take that away and if anything since it is a kitchen this throw cauldron over here and I think that’ll be just fine

Take the little bit out and I just got rid of color than that yes I did and then we get to throw a little culture right here and us if you do this for Minecraft birth there’s really I don’t think they have lanterns so let’s just

Grab a torch and you can put a torch of anything throw it in there and that should be good to go now for this part here you could vote we need a vet right you can either add the bed here on the side or you can add the bed up top I

Think maybe up here be a little bit cooler so let’s just grab the bed it’s gonna throw right here in the corner no big deal and then maybe a little torch on one side maybe throw a little higher you can even put more storage here by

Maybe putting some slabs up top and then if anything had a couple more chests on the tippy top right up here you can even add more chest as you even go hop higher and you can have like a little storage section up here it’s a little dark so

Maybe just the torch on that side and if anything add a little painting right there it’s perfect so that’s our little bedroom action over here we could add even a little dining table you can put a little stay right there and maybe it fits on one of these over

Here maybe like right there and maybe a little carpet or pressure play that’s a cat carpet on top it would be fine or a pressure plate would also be alright so we have that also on this side you can throw a little flower pot and a little

Flower on the tippy top right about there also here you can add a painting maybe as well so let’s grab um whatever PT stuff hello there we go and you can add a little painting on this side maybe something like that that’s too big maybe um that’s fine

It maybe there’s double on the side and it’s like you can even add on on this corner I think that’s perfectly okay well you know what I want one of these hold on I won’t want it there we go something like that will be pretty cool

You can even add another one up top but that’s fine if you wanted to add a little more details here maybe a little bit of slab action might be okay just to give you a little bit of a different look to this and I think maybe something

Like that you can even double it up and then maybe do another level here may give you a nice little slope cool enough just to add a little more detail but I think we’re pretty good yeah we’re done it’s good to go what do you guys think
