Minecraft All The Mods 9 – #8 CREATE Mechanical Arm

Foreign Of all the mods nine now we’ve done a bit of an update we’re currently on version 0.60 of all the mods 9. that’s great news but it’s also kind of bad news because one thing did break anyway let’s get in game and I can show you

Guys what’s going on so I let my trusty computer do the talking oh and also when I logged in in this version it gave me a new book The Chronicle of Shadows and this basically shows us that we’ve got apotheosis in the mod pack now if you don’t know what apotheosis is it’s

Basically all about enchants but it does look like this has had a few upgrades as well as some spawner stuff The Village module Garden module potion module that’s something cool to check out down the line anyway computer switch on so here we are the to-do list now okay

Yeah there’s five items on this list it should be pretty achievable this episode number one is say goodbye and number two is say hello what do those mean well let’s show you guys exactly what it means so basically when I updated the client we had a slight problem with mine

Colonies it now thinks that I don’t own this colony and check it out here we go when we go to the town hall I right click and it says I’m inside my Colony but I already own an existing Colony at this location and this coordinate is this town hall so

It thinks I own this Colony but this isn’t my Colony it’s very weird I tried all kinds of commands like MC Colony list there’s only one Colony on This Server it’s my colony all right and it says I am the mayor so I’m not quite sure how to fix this

So what we’re gonna have to do is say goodbye to my current dudes basically I’m gonna have to delete the colony put down some blogs and basically just fix the colony back to where it was everything will be fine and as it was before but the problem is we’re gonna

Lose all of our dudes oh it’s a really old pardon me it’s a really sad day so the first thing we’re going to do is say hello and goodbye to our brave new Souls so skull degree Fester unfortunately you’re gonna you’re gonna be toast Palladia florentiev you’re gone

So sill has the tools he needs we’re gonna leave him to it because there’s a lot of ticker tape around here he’s gonna go around zip around and repair our colony let’s keep it going what else is on the computer list yeah so storage this is

The big one I’ve been using oh amazing pretty quick I’ve been using these chests to hold all my stuff but it’s about time I change that we’re gonna upgrade our storage system and if you come down with me I have created another level below the floor above and what we’re going to do here is just stack loads and loads and loads of

Chests we’re going to use sophisticated storage to start out there were some other options like ours Nouveau has a kind of storage that we’re not going to go into yet because we’re going to save the magic for later and also computers are a little bit out of

Our comfort zone because you don’t have things like silicone or diamonds now it’s been a while since I’ve used this but I’m fairly sure we’re gonna need a controller we’re going to need a storage tool to link all of the inventories we’re gonna need the storage chests themselves and for this what

We’re going to do is we’re going to try and use iron oh strongborn danks welcome so yeah here you go an iron chest from sophisticated storage it’s actually quite simple to make because we’ve got loads and loads and loads of iron uh now my trusty wood Farm I think we’re

Gonna go for hmm what do we want to get rid of well we’ve got oh dark oak is a nice look so I’m gonna get a few stacks of these dark oak logs and of course we will need iron and our iron farm yeah it’s been hard at work

Getting us loads and loads of that lovely so let’s do it But important to remember is that a basic chest is not a sophisticated storage one you need to add Redstone to the mix So Oak chests now surrounded by Iron we’re going to get as many as we can I reckon 45 should give us a lot of space to go forwards with boom okay and so now let’s start placing them and see how much storage these chests actually have because I’ve never looked

Oh yeah this Oak iron chest is nice and big and what’s better is you can kind of array them like this now to try making the controller and again it’s not too hard some Redstone comparators barrels planks and uh yeah Stone oh although we do need nether chords for this that’s something

I hadn’t even considered and the only real way to get nether quartz is gonna be to go to the nether there’s other options but none of them are as simple as just jumping through a portal to go through the nether we’re gonna need to dig obsidian which means we’re finally

Gonna have to upgrade our iron pickaxe to Diamond level so we’ve got a use for our Diamond now usually you need three to make a pickaxe but we can skip that because what we can do instead is use template boards to make an iron tip for our pickaxe and

What’s even better is that means we can upgrade it with iron or repair it with iron so we don’t have to worry about Gathering loads of diamonds amazing now where did I put those templates here we go the template board a diorite and some paper to get the tip upgrade template now if

We put one Diamond here there we go we get a diamond tip and it gives us a harvest level of obsidian amazing combine this with the iron pickaxe and we do also get a durability upgrade now it gets twice as much durability plus it also gets lustrous to its list

Of trains I’m not exactly sure what that is but it’s definitely good okay now it’s time to go and visit that nether portal on the border of our Colony we finally have a use for it and we can finally repair it oh man what a lovely day though so if you’re enjoying

Call it benitoid benetite ore is good create scoria ore is really good we’ll grab that stuff a couple of stacks don’t mind if I do but the main thing we’re looking for of course is quartz and it’s supposed to be quite common now a quick look at the map shows us

That we’re below oh yeah a piglet Fortress now I think piglins prefer it if you have golden armor on so it’s pretty good that I dug up those gold blocks because now I can make I don’t know like a golden hat no we’ll say golden boots because that’s the cheapest thing

We’ll also get some of this Soul Stone from mystical agriculture because I don’t know what it is but it must be good right oh sulium ore that could come in handy as well oh yeah okay so digging down has revealed to us that looks like it’s the piglin camp

Now a quick look at my backpack shows me that I’ve got fire resistance for another 30 minutes oh yeah the firewood ring fire resistant so that means we can just drop into the lava and I think not take any damage oh this could be uh this could be a bad moment for us

Okay yeah oh yeah look at this I’m completely immune to the lava that’s great what I’m not immune to though is whatever monsters are hiding in the lava now we’re on the hunt for quartz but while we’re here we’re gonna gather up all of the other things that might come

Some Harry Potter stuff right there we’re getting Major League distracted though there’s two big things we want to get from this place apart from well yeah we’re gonna go for actually you know what maybe we can kill this thing no who am I kidding there’s no way we’re killing another right monstrosity not

Without some crazy Magics but we do want to because oh my God there’s some ancient debris in there there’s some real valuable stuff got to be very careful though because if we antagonize this guy a bit too much he’s gonna destroy this whole place it’s a really cool looking kind of Boss

Arena though oh now I’m wondering how far away from this boss do you have to be for the music to stop I guess we’ll find out let’s grab some quartz yeah the good stuff now while we’re here we’re also going to want a little bit of Glowstone that’s

Pretty important for a lot of recipes too so ultimind this sucker okay we’ve survived the nether we’ve got lots of quartz lots of Glowstone a few other bits and Bobs and we know never to come back because the netherrite monstrosity oh my God my ears are still bleeding

That that Boss music was so loud ah anyway back to the Overworld back to where things make sense wherever things calm and Breezy so after that intense and crazy experience let’s just have a little bit of a wind down We’re going to enjoy a nice relaxing journey home oh I just realized because I’m wearing my my new scarf I’m invisible very cool So I love reading the comments from you guys saying what kind of things you like to do for the ultimate relaxation there was a real mix of things you guys like to do to unwind okay so back home back where things make sense let’s take a look at the booting that we’ve gathered

Now I don’t want to go back there to confront the netherite monstrosity until I have a whole bunch of magical armor and spells and maybe some guns maybe a tank and an Air Force and maybe some nukes because that thing looked insane but let’s take a look this is some of the

Stuff we gathered so we got some armor trim that’s always pretty cool lots of Glowstone raw Crimson iron scoria which is going to be used for create so let’s put this to good use oh now well while I’m wearing this scarf I can’t actually see my hands and that’s a

Bit jarring so we’re going to take it off for now there we go okay two of these boom and the other one there we go and that should be it I do have all the other bits there we go the storage controller bam no achievement for doing this but let’s see how this

Works we’re also gonna need I think a tool to attach it to inventories the storage tool oh now this does require another Pearl or an ender pearl rather but we do have one of those so I reckon this is probably the use for it yeah there we go the one Pearl

And there we go the storage tool as well so how does this work we’ve got a whole bunch of chests downstairs are they gonna be in the same inventory let’s find out so what if we put this thing here and can we link to this so linking to controller

Boom oh yeah so look there’s a black line to all of these chests now from the storage computer so the storage controller isn’t a conventional computer you can’t right click on it to see everything that you have but what it does act like is basically an interface for other systems to use your

Inventories like refined storage it’s a great way to bypass hard drives and things from refined storage which are really expensive to make early on but it does mean we’re going to have to get refined storage sooner rather than later anyway Let’s Move On Now to create next

Up on the list is create complex crafting alright now this is the big one so basically what I wanted in my create Workshop was a mechanical arm they look really cool and I wanted to get it working and in action but mechanical arms are not easy to make they require something called a

Precision mechanism and to make this we’re gonna have to have an elaborate setup of deployers to create this from gold plates so let’s get going with that we’re going to need lots of cogs some deployers and some shafts so a deployer from create isn’t too hard

To make we can get the endocyte casing no worries electron tubes though and Brass hands that could be a bit trickier polished rose quartz wait a minute so we need a deployer to make the rose quartz that can’t be right ah okay so if we polish rose quartz which is just

Redstone and quartz we can get yeah this cool stuff but what does this mean we get the Sandpaper and we use the rose quartz but we don’t do it in a crafting bench so do we just put the Sandpaper in our hand and the rose quartz oh yeah look at this

This is amazing yeah and there we go we’ve got one polished rose quartz pretty cool there we go one iron plate combine that with the rose quartz to get an electron tube amazing but now the other thing a brass hand okay which means we need brass plates

And we get brass by mixing copper with zinc ah so that’s why create needs zinc okay it all makes sense now So a bit of copper and a bit of zinc and we’ll go for oh we’re gonna need a lot of brass so I reckon 20 of these ingots there’s the brass hand the electron tube the casing in the middle and hey Presto we have a deployer I’m going to make a

Couple more of these and then head over to the create Workshop so the first thing we’re going to need is to get the power from the walls into deployers so I’m going to dig away this wood first because it’s a little bit in the way we’re going to have our crafting

Setup be along this wall I think that’s a good place to put it and we’re also gonna need three gearboxes to bring the power from those shafts facing this way there we go three of those so we’re going to plug these in along that wall starting here Excuse me against the wall like that yep there we go use a shaft to bring it towards us and there we go we’ve got turning power we’re actually gonna have to get rid of this log completely I think now you have to be careful with deployers because it’s really tricky to position them

Facing the right way you can use a wrench from create but we haven’t made one of those there we go now we have it so this is facing the right way we can have a conveyor belt going along the bottom of here and that should work

Now what we’re going to need is three more of these along here because the way this works is you have to kind of craft things in an order so I’ll just smash out this glass and put down two more of these bad boys there we go and I’ve worked out the best

Way to set them facing downwards now so this is all going to work out pretty well then in the same way this conveyor belt works over here we’re going to use cogs to bring it down to where we want so like this this and this

Then a shaft here a shaft here and a shaft over at the end and we should be good to go we’ll get the mechanical belt out put it at the start and at the Finish and yeah it’s going the right way again this is a very slow setup but it does

Work and it is automated so we’ll finish this off by putting down more Cobble get some chests and some funnels but again those are things I’m gonna have to go and make back at the house so we’ll put some chests at the end here and here

Put these funnels in position so we can empty the chests and put them into the system and now the last thing we need to do is fill up these deployers with the blocks we want them to place now according to the crafting recipe it needs to be Iron nuggets

Large cogwheels and Cog wheels and it has to start with a cog wheel so we’ve got to put Cog Wheels here right click and they go into the hand amazing got to make sure you do Target this weird little nub that sticks out though and nowhere else Then the large Cog wheel so small cogwheels large cogwheels and we finish it off with we’re gonna have to make some oh no we’re not here’s a stack with some iron nuggets oh amazing right and so what we need to do is put down some gold plates in this

Chest to see if this thing works okay here comes the first gold plate very slowly thank you and we do have a bit of a cue forming but you know what that’s fine oh it’s worked okay boom so the first gold plate has got

A cog wheel in it and as you can see now it says incomplete steam engine now the large Cog wheel goes into position boom locked and loaded and now it has become incomplete steam engine still okay oh wait it didn’t put the Nugget in it what the hell

Oh no it’s trying to make Steam Engines what have we done wrong oh I think I see what the problem is we didn’t use gold plates we used brass plates well okay let’s try that once again I do think I have some gold plates in here if not we can make some boom

But one thing this episode has shown me is that I really do need to get this wheel spinning quicker foreign gold plate let’s try this I think it must have been bronze plates that we were using before so the gold plate now comes out gets a cog wheel come on we’re looking

For unfinished or incomplete Precision mechanism yes that’s what we got so it must have been bronze that we put through before and the final iron nugget for the craft there we go but as you can see it is still incomplete it’s not a finished Precision mechanism and why is that well

As you can see here it’s got three of 15. what that means is this thing has to go through this entire setup five different times to become a completed Precision mechanism now there is something I can think of that might help us speed up this process basically if we can add some manual

Power as in a hand crank and this is a great place to start with create if you don’t want to make a water wheel but basically yeah a hand crank will let you add more power to a network or basically be the power for a network but is it complex to craft

No andesite alloy and some planks we have all of that amazing and where are we going to put the hand crank or we can put it over here in this exposed bit that you can see it’s a bit messy but it should work or actually we

Can even just stick it on the front of one of these machines and that should work too yeah look at this yeah and now when I right click oh yeah it speeds everything up massively now what I can also do is put the hand crank on the conveyor belts I think

And right click yeah look at this keep right clicking and it speeds things up massively this is a really good hack for if you can’t upgrade your system very quickly to start with so one more pass should do it we’ll put it in the start Here we go crank crank crank baby oh yeah look at the speed Yes we’ve got it the Precision mechanism in the bag so this means we can now create the mechanical arm yeah now we’re cooking oh man this crank is a great little tool so three brass plates we’ll take the gold and the iron as well because why not and let’s craft ourselves One of

These Arms in our backpack yes the mechanical arm amazing now this goes right here it appears this mechanical arm has not been assigned any Targets so basically you’ve got to put it in your hand first like this and what we’re going to do is we’re going to say take whatever’s here here

And here and put it onto this belt so it can go into the mixer so we want to go hold shift right click And put it there hold shift right click and put it there but we don’t have anything to mix right now so let’s give this a quick test run by making some quick and easy die in our mixer so we’re getting a couple of flowers I guess so there we go three andersite funnels

On these belts well puts Red Diamond one yellow dye in the other and let’s see if this works there we go now we’re not going to use the crank because we want to see if the arm works and having it at a slow speed makes that really easy to see where the

Problems are but also we have a slight problem here if the mechanical arm can’t get to the belt in time items will just flop off the end now there is a block from create that we can put here that will stop the items from falling off the edge of the

Conveyor belt and that is a Depot and again this is very easy to make just like the funnels and everything else all you need is andesite casing and andesite alloy and we will also have to re-jig the arm give it some new instructions so go from there

To there go from there to there and go to there to there there we go so the blue is take and the Orange is deposit put this bad boy down and now let’s try this again yeah oh it’s working very very very slowly but it is actually happening

Oh yeah grab it grab that die oh looks amazing and it’s gonna swivel around this is so cool and down it goes yeah busy hands now it should grab the yellow dye as well all right so there’s both yellow and red dye in there as you can see but I really

Do want to get this mixed oh yeah there it goes mixing away mixing up a storm in there looks very cool now it takes quite a while to mix this into orange dye but that’s what it should be doing and come on come on is it gonna work it takes a long time

Speed into this system is gonna be a big and important thing for us to do we also checked out the mechanical arm which is a very very very cool tool that is going to come in insanely handy for all kinds of future factories that we’re going to
