Minecraft All The Mods 9 – #9 CREATE MOD Power Tower – Refined Storage !

Foreign Hello and welcome back to Minecraft all the mods nine now as you may have seen in the flyover our Colony has had a bit of a makeover we’ve decided to make good on our name of Redwood Shores and put down some redwood trees and don’t they look freaking amazing and also you may

Have also seen behind me I’ve been tinkering around with gears and I’m going to show you what I mean by jumping in game well all right all right so one of the big problems we have and actually this is even on my to-do list show gears yeah it’s number one that’s how important

This is so basically I realize in my create Workshop things were going a little bit slow and it’s not that I need more power I needed more speed I didn’t need a big truck I needed a Ferrari or a Lamborghini or whatever your favorite

Sports car is so I racked my brain a bit and doing these kinds of things really makes you think outside the box and is a really fun puzzle so I took a base water wheel and thought hang on a sec how can I make this go this quick and the key is

Gears so if you’re having trouble with create at home this is how you do it you put a big gear into a small gear you extend the small Gear Virus shaft to a big gear and then you put that big gear to a small gear and every time you go

From Big to small you’re gonna increase the speed and you can see the end result slow to fast amazing but what does that translate to down in the create Workshop well let me show you before we go though I’ve also tinkered with my storage setup here I’ve put these back against the

Wall and I filled these up now what we’re going to be looking for is some copper that will do I’ve got some more around here though I’m sure there we go and zinc and come with me if you want to wait no that’s the wrong

Movie come with me and I can show you how quick things are down here because they are going blazing quick it’s really cool to see now I’ve added some decorations here and there there’s a path you might see now some Hedges here and there and over the series between episodes I’m

Gonna be doing a little bit of decoration okay yeah so behind the water wheel I’ve got a kind of COG system in place it’s difficult to see for now but yeah It sped things up massively which means we no longer need these ugly hand cranks well they’re not too ugly

But we don’t need them so how quick is it well let me show you I’m going to make some more Precision mechanisms with gold plates in here and it’s not lightning quick but it is so much quicker than it was before oh man lovely to see but also the mixer

Has been sped up massively too look at the speed at which this thing goes yeah and let’s test this out because a mixer needs to go way quicker than even our power was I’ve also built another conveyor belt over here with a funnel in a Depo because we’re going to be mixing some

Bronze in here now bronze is a pretty simple mix oh my bad I keep saying bronze when I mean brass so we’re gonna mix one zinc with three copper to make a brass in God and to set that up over here on the mechanical arm If We Hold right click

You can see we’re gonna have to set this to forced round robin which means it takes one from here one from here one from here one from here and it does not mess with that and if there’s nothing over here it waits Yeah and as you can see the create arm didn’t even start until there was something on the final Depot so in goes one In goes two as you can see it’s not the quickest of beasts and what we might even do is bring down the speed from the mixer to the arm because that would make things even crazier now this isn’t mixing because the actual recipe for crafting in a mixing bowl is

A bit different to crafting with a crafting bench you need one copper Ingot and one zinc Ingot so we can fix that no worries but also it needs to be heated ah if we want to get brass out of this we’re going to need to heat this bad boy

Up and yeah we’re upgrading our create stuff so let’s do that quite quickly I’m sure we’ve got time on the to-do list because this isn’t too tricky so basically what we’re gonna need is a blaze burner but we’re not going to need an empty Blaze burner we’re gonna have to fill it

And the way you fill an empty Blaze burner you can press W create is amazing for this is you just right click on a blaze no sweat well we’ve been to the nether now so we know where to get them and how tricky is a blaze burner to

Now also oh man it took me long enough but I did finally get my backpack to work so the problem was it was in controls so basically yeah at the moment my backpack is on just my bank slot for my curios but what we’re gonna do is put it on our back first

There we go press this button also in controls let me show you so it turns out some keys just don’t even work for shortcuts in Minecraft I worked out the hard way that the number pad 8 key does not work to open your backpack inventory but for some reason caps lock

Does so that’s the key that we have that opens up our backpack and yeah Moment of Truth it works and in here it’s pretty Barren but you know what it’s going to come in handy and of course we will be upgrading this as we go it’s got a crafting bench as well which

Is pretty slick and we can also use buckets to store things like water and maybe lava so while we’re in another I think I might grab some lava too okay in we go round two now we’re gonna stay well clear of netherrite monstrosity because he’s a real real

Tough cookie oh my God the music oh why why why do you do this to me so another is now permanently ruined by this Boss music now don’t get me wrong this is a bang in tune but it’s a bit too bang and if you know what I mean anyway

Let’s make a blaze burner now we might actually need three or four of these because Blaze burners come in really handy for things like steam engines later on oh bit of 10. oh even more tin oh lava oh hang on a sec so let’s test this out oh my God

The music anyway yes if we right click with a bucket grab up this lava now I’m going to open my backpack and can I put it in yeah I can oh wow oh so it only holds enough for three buckets that’s not very good but I’m sure that can be upgraded too

Okay now let’s change our ultimind to diggers a tunnel you can hold down the ultimind key which is the button left of one for those of you that don’t know and then hold down shift as well and you can yeah build a tunnel and a large tunnel sounds perfect for us

Oh yeah and this is much better for strip mining now as you can see we are going frantically in a straight line but there is no Escape From The Boss music of from hell but maybe actually we can mute it I wonder if in the Mufflers section there is music

Oh yeah look monstrosity music canaclism oh my ears oh that’s so good peace and quiet sometimes all you want all you need oh man you know what not a blaze in sight if only there was a quicker way to sail across this lava actually that

Reminds me so you guys said that I can use a saddle to ride those Strider monsters so I do remember having a Saddleback at base I’m gonna zip back grab my saddle and let’s see if we can Wrangle one of these striders so yeah I got my saddle I am fireproof already

Whoosh oh it’s always so nerve-wracking jumping head first into lava even though I know I’m fireproof it it still feels like certain death oh yeah there’s loads of these dude there’s one real close well come here bro now I’m not looking for the immunity because I’m immune to fire already what

I’m looking for is the speed and these guys aren’t exactly the Ferraris of lava going vessels but you know what they’re quicker than little old me sludging through this molten rock come here you did it work oh yeah saddle oh amazing this is so cool this is one

Of the Minecraft things I have never actually done they I can’t actually control this guy oh no I probably have to tame him somehow and I have no idea what I have to use to tame him so never mind we’ll chalk that up to her learning and uh

Yeah let’s just continue we’re still looking for a blaze so ideally we want to find like another Fortress oh and Fortune has favored us check it out I found some ancient debris and I have a pickaxe that can dig it up now it’s not enough for even one netherite

But it’s a great start if I was wise I would basically dig this up with something like Fortune but I’m gonna hold on to this because oh there’s even more because there might be a way for us to Baby triple or quadruple this netherite ore what I’m looking at over here

Definitely looks like some kind of nether fortress so let’s head on over there instead I think that’s where we’re gonna find the Blazers but it goes to show because ancient debris is also an emissive or that means it glows I can find it from quite a far

Way away I should keep my eyes peeled at all times because it looks like it could be anywhere and x marks the spot looks like some Nether Bricks so we found our Fortress ah yes a blaze spawner okay right so let’s construct our Blaze

Oh my God I didn’t expect him to be so quick but we’re immune to fire so we’re basically immune to Blazers Yeah we actually are they’re just going straight through us oh man what a joke this guy is nothing to us so iron plates on the outside Netherrack

In the middle and there we go we’ve got four Blaze burners let’s go catch ourselves four Blazers now it’s always good to have some Netherrack it is rare but it’s used in some crafts so I want to take some home with me but the rest can go the journey

Okay come here my dude got a blaze burner with your name on it oh my God no I died oh so we are immune to fire but not falling there we go a terrible Fortress and we put a blaze burner in a blaze and a burner just three more to go boom

And there we go we’ve got four Blaze burners amazing now let’s hightail it back home so there we go the blaze burner complete with blaze now these things don’t offer infinite fire you do actually still have to fuel them but that’s okay for now because we’re

Only really using this bad boy to make bronze or sorry brass and even then we don’t really need it but it’s going to be useful to have wait what no there he is Oh I thought he vanished on us so there’s copper and zinc in the pot

Let’s get us something to feed the blaze with nom nom nom nom nom yeah and as soon as he lights up this thing will start mixing amazing and look we can already see the brass streaming out of there let’s keep him well fed all right as you

Put one in each corner of our Colony The Colony bands indicated by the build tool so here we are right on the edge and we’re gonna put the guard Tower over here and these are just going to be quick and dirty they’re going to look like they’re you know in a nice position

But we want these in the very corner of the map to make sure we get maximum expansion from these towers so guard Tower number one over here on the corner of the mountain boom and in the second Corner we’re going to put the guard Tower over here so military guard Tower boom That makes me realize actually this is quite a big Zone we’ve got already but it’s not big enough we want more more gods okay great so we can cross that off the list guard towers because they will go up in the background but before we commence one thing we’re

Going to test out with old embryo Fester is something you guys said in the comment section that basically you can use silent gear tools on your colonists they’ll basically use them and the advantage with silent gear tools is when they break they continue to use them so

Let’s go and Crafters up some stone tools and also you guys said that they’ll also use paxils and that sounds pretty amazing too so in theory one stone Paxil is the only tool apart from like shears that embryo Fester will ever need so we’ll make a

Paxil template and give our guy a stone oh better sleep a stone Paxil and see if that does the job if it doesn’t we can just give them Stone silent gear tools which is just as good really because I mean I trust you guys you guys

Are often right but not always right so you know I gotta take your advice with a pinch of salt so Boom the Paxil template you use this with put Stone up here a stick down here and you’ve got a stone Paxil hello ambreal so what what is your problem no guards

Whatever no guards whatever you need a shovel to continue okay so let’s see if we can fulfill this request by shift right click and give her the stone Paxil does this work oh you know what it might have done yeah I think it has she no longer is

Okay so number three is gonna be build a computer now this is like a an early stage thing because we don’t really have a means to reliably power it yet that shouldn’t be a problem though because we can just use some generators here and there some kind of capacitor one thing

We do have loads of thanks to El jumbo over here is charcoal I’ve been making loads and loads of our logs into charcoal and now we’ve got charcoal for days so whatever we do we can always power it with good old coal if Greta thundberg Could See Me Now actually she

It’s not the easiest of things let me tell you but if we go at this stage by stage step by step it shouldn’t be a problem now number one we’re going to make some machine casing which is quartz enriched iron which is iron and quartz

Really want to have your interface storage where you do the storage this is going to become basically an unmanned hole where I stuff all my stuff so yeah we’ve got 25 upgrades now in the jumbo furnace which means I think we get like 25 or 26 of a craft in one go and

Some of you guys are saying man that’s not quicker I mean yes it is this is 26 times as quick as a normal furnace and it doesn’t need any power apart from the basic fuel so honestly considering we’ve got like a wood Farm it’s a great choice

Early on it’s definitely not end game don’t get me wrong but it’s a pretty good opening option next up we’re going to need some of these construction cores and destruction cores all of them require these basic processors and this is where things are going to get a little bit tricky

Redstone is not a problem neither is iron but things like processor binding and silicon are quite tricky to make the easiest silicone by far to make is just putting nether quartz into your jumbo furnace to make it straight up it just it basically melts down into silicone so we’ll do that

So we’re looking for string as always you know exactly how to make string flax is a great way to make string because it basically is string and we even have some flax seeds so what I could do is plug these into like a hopper botany pot

Get it brewing in the background in fact you know what I I will definitely do that there we go just for now we’re going to replace these saplings with the flax seeds because yeah we’ve got loads and loads of wood now it’s not really a problem we’re not going to run out of

This stuff anytime soon let’s just quickly make some flax so the last thing on our list for the processor binding is the tricky one it’s slime and a really good way of making this is by mixing wheat dough with lime dye and very simple you mix a bucket of

Water with wheat and I think we have both of those yeah let’s go and do it boom wheat dough and we’ll just get a few of these wait a minute there’s one thing we’re missing and that is green dye oh man green dye are we gonna have to find cactus

Yeah so let me go and check my chest see if I have any Cactus because I could have gathered some in my travels it’s entirely possible once again some of these things aren’t rare they’re not hard to get they’re just tricky because you might not have run across a desert

So before we do anything let’s try jiggling things around to see if we don’t actually need any pipes because it looks like the output on this is at the top so what happens if I put the controller on top does the power go in automatically

Oh yes it does look the EU is going up perfect but it does need to be next to this grid so we’ll move everything down a bit there we go ah and look it’s red it’s flashing red which means it’s got low power but the grid is connected now the

Moment of truth is this gonna automatically interface with the storage controller no it’s not so we need some kind of way to link the grid to the storage controller so I’ve done some research and the way it looks like you have to interface the controller with the computer is with one

Of these external storage oh brother well another use oh no it’s not Diamond this is construction core glowstone dust so we’ve made the construction call we’ve made the destruction core and we’ve made an improved processor the quartz and Rick Stein is no sweat and the chests are

Cool too we just need cable now which is literally our last Redstone quartz enriched iron and glass so cable boom bam there we go refined storage cable and these cables are basically what refined storage users to just get all of its stuff in and out of the computer as well they’re like the

Pipes of your computer network the wires I suppose well the cables now there we go the external storage let’s plug this in and see if this works so we put the cable into the controller and then the external storage here whoops no facing the wrong way now will this work external storage the

Grid the Moment of Truth both of my fingers are crossed oh my God yes look at this bad boy everything we have the power of the Sun in the palm of my hand oh man this is incredible and now we can put stuff into this as well and

Clear our inventory oh that’s so good we’ve done it dudes we’ve got a computer that’s amazing this is a real Milestone a real Milestone indeed well that should be basically everything complete in this episode it was a big old slog but we got there the computer

System is now up and running I can tidy that up a little bit later but for now let’s end the episode with a nice relaxing time lapse build and what we’re going to be doing is the create Tower of Power basically I had a real good idea instead

Of stacking water wheels vertically why not have them horizontally what an idea that is so as you can see inside this Tower of Power we have many water wheels there’s also empty space at the top so we could expand this even further to add even more power to the network so

Basically water kind of spirals down here hitting all of the water wheels for Max rotational Force and it comes down here at a pretty slow speed so we’ve got a combination of Gears that speed it up and then we can send this shaft down into the create

Workshop and that’s going to give us a big injection of power oh there we go fits like a glove now we’re gonna raise it up a bit and this is looking pretty good now you guys are probably wondering what are all of these ugly wooden planks doing around the edge

Well the reason they’re there is quite simply for scaffolding the Builder’s gonna need something to stand on while he gets further and further up the tower otherwise it’s going to take forever for him to teleport up and down from the top of the building so that is why that’s

There that’s what it’s doing hopefully it should speed him up and when we’re done we can just ultimate it all away oh no disaster so the Tower of Power actually comes slightly outside of the bands of the colony so we’re gonna move it forwards to the closest position it

Can be and we can basically just run the uh the shafts down back through this and connect them up manually it’s a bit Messier but it’s certainly not a problem and take a look at the materials now this is actually much cheaper to make than our create Workshop none of this is

Super crazy and a sidebars we can make with create a few water wheels glass lots of cobblestone stairs glass and wood but honestly a very simple build super ambryo Fester on this and press build building they are working on the guard towers right now so we’ll just

Pause those and have her come and do this so our current colonists are here to stay and congratulations to ambriel Fester who has become our new Builder don’t worry the benefits package for being a builder on our colony is amazing if you survive just gonna make it to retirement baby

Some of you guys said why haven’t you used the schematics Canon from create because that will be quicker and easier than doing it in mine colonies and the reason is these time-lapse builds they’re really cool to watch and I love making them and they’ve always added like a little something extra to the

Series and I don’t want to see that go away so mine Connolly’s Builders are here to stay I’ve also really enjoyed investigating create more there’s some really cool things in create like actual locomotive trains I played around with those and they’re really fun and really easy very intuitive to use

What I’m thinking will do next episode is try and get back to basics we’re going to focus on the colony because there’s a few buildings from mine colonies that are actually great resource generation the sifter is amazing the mine can be good it looks amazing And buildings like the engineers Workshop are great ways for us to offset automated crafting and have an NPC do the crafting for us so next episode you can expect a few more time lapse builds thank you so there we go with the water wheels in place and the water added from the top

Afterwards you can see this entire column is spinning now what we have to do is connect up this shaft to the create Workshop behind us now this might be quite tricky so we’re going to have to drill into the back what I’ll be doing is making this

All look pretty and and nice between episodes but for now we’re gonna need a couple of gearboxes and we’ll use three because we might need to change the rotational Direction whether it goes left or right clockwise or anti basically every time you use a gearbox it changes the rotation of the shaft

Luckily we’re using two gearboxes for this so it should change it one way and then back to the other now the moment of truth is this gonna work yes it is and it’s moving at the new speed but yes now as you can see we are brimming with power power and speed

Oh my god look how quickly the mixer goes now that’s freaking nuts and to test this out let’s put some more copper in here to make some brass and how quickly is the arm gonna move now oh yeah look at the speed this guy is souped up

Oh but of course we need to fuel the blaze burner so we’ll give him a couple of minutes a burn oh yeah look at this oh super speed freaking fantastic so thank you very much for watching this episode of all the mods nine we got a lot of really cool things achieved this
