Hey everybody mungo dark matter here and today i’m going to show you how to make your own custom biome in minecraft we’re using the bedrock edition today a lot of these things will apply to java as well so we’re going to start out here and we’re actually going to change this to Creative mode and we can go back to survival mode and play our custom biome in survival mode later if we want a lot of these things you can actually do in survival mode as well but creative mode has a few things that we can do that will uh kind of help us out So we’re going to go down here to world type we’re going to leave it on infinite and right here with seed we want to start out with a base seed that is kind of the most like the biome that we want to create there are few things to consider we want To consider the temperature of the biome and the terrain of the biome for example so you can go and google seeds on our minecraft seeds on google and uh you know pick a seed to start with that you might want to start with but you can also go over to this little uh Arrow here and brings up the seed picker and it gives you some basic biomes in bedrock in java edition you actually have more choices of the type of biome that it will randomly generate so it’s a little bit different in java so anyway we’re going to start with a biome A base biome and so for example if you wanted to snow in your biome you might pick the snowy village here because it needs to be a certain temperature to snow and so there are certain things about certain biomes that you can’t really change or recreate So you want to start with a base biome that has kind of the you know the temperature as i was saying and the terrain and the type of blocks that you want we’re going to use the mesa plateau biome right here another thing i’m going to do down here Is i’m going to scroll down real quick i’m going to put this to always day you can change um if you want to do a daylight cycle or whatever we’re going to do always day just because it makes it easier for the demonstration purposes it’s not always getting dark While i’m showing you stuff all right so we’re going to just create this biome all right we’re going to start off with the mesa biome here and it’s one of the rarer biomes in minecraft and now for example we can uh change the type of plants that are here We can add plants here that wouldn’t normally be here i’m going to take this jungle sapling here it will not plant on the terracotta it will not plant on the red sand and if we go over here to regular sand it will not plant on regular sand as well however We can plant it on dirt and what we could do is we could go up here to the terra cotta and knock out a block and put a block of dirt there then we can plant the sapling so in the desert or in badlands or in The mesa you can actually put dirt down in spots to grow other types of plants that won’t normally grow there because in minecraft many of the plants they will grow depending on the type of block so it has to be dirt for example or it can be dirt in sand or whatever So once we plant this jungle sapling here we can take some bone meal and grow it more quickly so we’ll put another one right here and you can see the bone meal speeds it up you could just let it grow if you want or you can use the bone meal on it And you just need to plant a block of dirt the nice thing about this is it looks like it’s growing right up out of the terracotta because we only put one block of dirt you can put multiple blocks of dirt around if you want you Can put dirt on top of these blocks or you can dig down and just make it level with the rest of the surface now another thing we’re going to try is bamboo bamboo will not plan on terracotta but we can plant it on red sand we can Plant it on regular sand we can use bone meal to make it grow faster we could make a cactus forest out here by putting cactus down cactuses will not grow faster with bone meal so you just have to let them grow over time but as long as you have a sand block you Can plant cactus so that’s one way you can alter the land by uh putting different plants that would not normally grow there and and another reason we’re using this example is because it will help us uh just show that you can do whatever you want pretty much so The other thing we want to do is we want we want different animals here and so polar bears are not in this biome normally so what i’m going to do is i’m going to type a command which is give at s and it’s a mob spawner now we’re in bedrock edition And this is slightly different in java edition so i’m going to hit enter here and you’ll see it gives me a mob spawner i can put the mob spawner down wherever i want i’m going to actually dig a hole here and put it in it And the other thing we need to do is we need to take an egg in this case a polar bear egg and right click on the spawner and it creates a polar spawner now the nice thing about this is we can put another block on top of it to hide it Which is what minecraft normally does when it generates a map it hides the spawners underneath and behind different blocks it could be terra cotta it could be dirt it could be uh stone whatever and so the spawners here and so now polar bears will spawn and you don’t even see the spawner Which is nice you can put a couple blocks and buried slightly deeper if you want to so now we have polar bears spawning out here in the mesa biome and we have jungle trees growing here and we had some bamboo growing here and so you can see how by doing a few Simple things like changing what plants are growing or adding plants to a biome or adding spawners with different animals that want to normally be there you can change the biome just remember you want to pick your base biome to pretty much have this the weather and the temperature that you want I’m under dark matter and this has been dark matters and whatever you do enjoy playing minecraft and enjoy the day and i will see you soon don’t forget to like share and subscribe you Video Information
