Hello everyone sadly here and welcome back to another bedrock edition tutorial today i’ll be showing you how to build a brand new mob farm for minecraft bedrock edition this mob farm is extremely easy to build produces around about 11 000 items per hour it applies the looting Three effected to every mob that it kills and it also gives you experience from all the mobs that it kills as well this is a great source of gunpowder bones and a bunch of other drops as well and i think it’s gonna serve you well in your bedrock edition worlds let’s take a Closer look at this mom farmer shall we and first look it might appear very similar to my previous design however this one is actually a lot smaller uses less resources and overall it’s easier to build as well as you can see it’s not actually that thick it’s just a little Bit tall and it uses a bunch of scaffolding and water so basically what happens is all of your hostile mobs like your zombies creepers spiders skeletons and witches they will spawn inside the scaffolding their heads will be inside the water and then they’ll get pushed down into this little drop shoot they’ll Land on some mango blocks to take a little bit of damage and then go into our trident killers where they’ll be killed and the looting three effect will be applied to them as you can see there and then all of your items and experience will go into this water Stream and be sent to the afk player where you can collect the experience as you stand there and all of your items will be put into your storage system you might not care about how the farm works but you should care about how many items the farm gets so in total you get Roughly 11 000 items per hour which includes 10 double chests of junk items as you can see here the junk items is bows and armor and weapons and stuff like that you can throw this into lava or you can use the bows as fuel and smelt down the iron and gold things for Nuggets but all of that is just junk items the actual goodies is all of this stuff right here which you get around 10 500 of a per hour so that includes an entire chest of string and bones gunpowder flesh arrows and all the other goodies that you get from your witches Such as the bottles different types of powders the sticks of course your crops some potions and even a little bit of iron as well in total you get about 14 double chests of items every single hour that you run the farm and you also get about 60 or so levels within about 30 Minutes of running the farm so it’s actually a pretty decent source of experience as well some quick details about the farm before we hop into the tutorial the reason why this farm gets nearly double the rates of my previous mob farm is because we’re using so called a split density we’re basically Using a two different mob caps before this farm so the left side of the farm has its own entire mob cap and then the right side of the farm also has its own entire mob cap as well so that mob farm and this one work it completely independently of each other because There are four chunks between them or 64 blocks now this farm is designed and built for a simulation distance of four so this works on realms servers low end mobile devices wherever you want to build this farm it will work perfectly fine and that is why the back side of The farm is kind of like curved because if we had spawning spots right here nothing would ever spawn on them they’re simply too far away from the player so i really tried to cram in as many spawn spots as i could and it paid off well as You can see you get a ton of mobs you might be aware but 1.18 introduced new mob spawning mechanics with the light level changes so now mobs require a light level of zero in order to spawn however that does not affect this farm because the skylight level can still be Seven or below so even though it’s not completely pitch black in here every single spot in this farm is completely spawnable so as long as you don’t have any torches in the area you don’t need to worry about the light levels at all this farm is pretty flexible in its Construction if you’re tight on resources you can just build a single side of it and it will still work really really well however if you get the resources and you want to later on you can build the second side and that will basically double your rates building Three or four of these modules will only waste your time and overall decrease your rates so just build two and the farm will work perfectly and of course you don’t need to worry about phantoms or lightning killing your player because you can just put a simple roof above View and that completely solves the issue of both of those because we’re using trident killers on this farm if you’re playing on hard mode a couple of mobs will spawn with a thorn’s armor and the trident killers will transfer that thorn’s damage to you so you get knocked Around a little bit and you’ll take approximately 4 hits of damage every hour or maybe a little bit more depending on your unlock so what i would recommend doing is standing between some glass panes that way you stay in the optimal afk spot and you may also need a Regeneration beacon if you plan on afk for long durations of time that way you don’t die of course don’t afk with anything of value on you and you might want to hold a ton of undying just in case but overall it shouldn’t be too big of a deal it’s just something to be Aware of and let’s hop into the tutorial shall we for your convenience there’s a full materials listed down in the description of the build for one side of the farm double that to get both sides and then there’s also a world download in the description as well so you can Check out this build in person and make sure that it works or just tinker around with it so first things first is location of the build i would recommend going 128 blocks above the surface of an ocean an ocean is already a very well spawn proofed area and if you fall off The build then you’re not going to die of fall damage you can build this really wherever you want so you just want to make sure that you’re going about 128 blocks above any of the ground areas or mountains that you might have in the area that way you already have a natural Perimeter around the farm and you don’t need to spawn proof anything the first thing that we’re going to do is place down a piece of packed ice at wide level 173 you should be at 173 when you’re standing on top of it then you want to Go up several more blocks until you get to y layer 191 and this is going to be your afk spot layer just to double check everything there should be 17 blocks between your bottom packed ice and your top afk spot so next up is the most complicated and Tedious part of the build but it’s not too bad if you stick with it and work through it so basically we need to find some junk borders and it’s also directional as well and now we need to find some chunk borders if you don’t know how to do this i would recommend That you check out the video in the top right of the screen right now that’ll show you how to find trunk borders or you can download the markers resource pack from foxy no tail and this just makes it incredibly easy so using the chunk border resource pack or any other Method that you like we need to find the intersection of four chunks so basically is this a corner right here and then we’re simply going to branch off to this area with our afk spot blocks so basically we’re going to be afking right between four chunks like so and then We’re just going to pick one of these to be the actual afk spot so let’s just go ahead and say that this block right here is the actual afk spot so now we can go ahead and remove these two blocks over here and we also need to do the same Thing with our packed ice as well just go ahead and make sure there’s a pack to iso directly underneath your actual afk spot block which is that one right there we’re not done with our trunk borders we need to mark out all the chunks surrounding this area that way we can Get the proper spacing between the two modules of our mob farm and know that our afk spot is right between them if you don’t do the spacing of your farm correctly you’re gonna be missing out on a huge amount of rates and you might just completely ruin the farm so make Sure that you’re spacing things properly so what we need to do is we need to turn on our trunk border resource pack or any other method of doing this and basically what you want to do is you want to go down here to the same layer as your Packed ice or ideally a block below it that way you’re not interrupting it and basically we’re going to be making a bunch of squares right on the inside borders of all of these chunks so these should be 16 by 16 squares surrounding your afk spot and in total we need eight Of these so this is what our grid square should look like and of course each one of these is 16 by 16 and perfectly lined up with the chunk borders so in between these squares is of course a chunk border as we can demonstrate with the Resource pack so you need to make sure that these are actually properly lined up double triple check this this is the most important part of the build basically and we also need to lay this out in a north south manor as well so get yourself a sunflower or something This is always going to be facing east so to the left of that is going to be north and then behind you south basically you guys know directions now that all that’s done we can actually start building the farm and putting in our water streams so you want to go to The center here and replace your packed ice with a piece of soul sand and that should be directly underneath your actual afk spot this will be delivering all the experience to the player and now we’re going to start building on the south side of the farm everything that We do on the south side we also need to do on the north side as well so you can build both sides at once or you can build one and then work on the second one however you want to do things it’s exactly the same on both sides so we’re Going to start off by running a line of packed ice down the left side of chunks right on this chunk border and we’re going to take this all the way to the edge of our marked area we’re then going to go out by an additional four blocks Like so and then we need to go to the left by eight blocks and to the right by eight blocks as well so one two three four five six seven eight and then you need to just go out buy an additional one right there so do that on the other Side as well once you have this installed we need to install another 2×2 a packed ice as well but this time up a block and this is going to be the center 2×2 of our trident killers so we need one on the left side and then we need One in the exact same position on the right side as well so as you can see they’re actually a little bit offset from one another and now we’re going to start building up the trident killer the trident killers are the exact same on both sides aside from a tiny bit of Redstone starting on the left side trident killer we want to go ahead and surround this entire 2×2 platform and a layer of solid blocks on all sides basically just like that and now we’re gonna go ahead and install the four pistons one there one right there there and there we want A stair and that corner and then surround all these with some solid blocks as well we want a dropper here in the front to right corner and then a repeater right there on two ticks another two tick repeater and another two tick repeater right there as well Just to slow down the trident killer enough to allow the items and experience to escape we’re going to put ourselves an observer facing that dropper facing that repeater that one and that one as well and then solid blocks behind all of those unlike so you can now go ahead and Place in a button right there and put yourself a water bucket into that stair so go ahead and do that exact same process on the other side as well and this is what it should look like with both of your trident killers installed as you can see the right side has a one Minor difference instead of having a two tick repeater right here we just have a dropper and then we put the repeater on that side so the dropper should be on the inside edge and now we need to put walls all the way around our water streams to prevent the water from Flowing out of the place so put some walls on the front side and on the back side going all the way across do it on the opposite side as well just to contain all that water and then do it on either side of the packed ice going all The way to your soul sand and now what we can start doing is placing in some water sources so we need to place in a water source right there and then a water source on this side as well that should flow roughly to the center as you Can see here and now we need to install some magma blocks and trap doors to kill any of the baby zombies that might escape the trident killer so put a piece of magma underneath the last piece of water and then an upper trapezoid like so and then just a water source between Them so baby zombies can occasionally get out of these things if they ever do they’ll simply die here on the magma block and drop all their items into the water stream and it’s not a big deal so and now go ahead and continue this water source all the way to your soul sand Whenever it ends put down a button and then simply repeat the water going all the way to the middle you should end with a button right here and then a water source leading into it just like so and now we can cover the whole thing With a roof so on the left side we need some additional blocks in these four locations and then just a small roof over these areas and then we can simply bring this roof all the way across it to the right side we need some additional blocks in these five locations right Here and then an additional three blocks as the roof put that final one right there and that is the entire roof of for your two trident killers and water streams and now just go ahead and put some glass blocks above all of this stuff and going back to your soul sand When we get back to the soul sand we should have ourselves a solid block in this location right here so we’re gonna have basically a tube of glass going all the way up to our afk spots and then an on and off switch on the left side or The right side of that tube so just put your solid block wherever you want your on switch to be basically we’re to go ahead and place a temporary lever on this a glass block right there and then a repeater coming out of this going into A solid block with a slab above it go ahead and put yourself some redstone next to that and then run this as far as it possibly can until it runs out of signal which is right there run that into a solid block and then a repeater and then another solid block and we’re Gonna go and put slabs above both of those to prevent spawning do the same thing again with your redstone dust run it as far as you can you should be able to get to about here and now we’re going to do the same thing with a solid block A repeater going into a solid block and now we’re going to have a little bit of a line of slabs going into these droppers we can have solid blocks and next to the droppers of course to save a little bit of redstone resources and then simply cover all of this in Redstone lines once all that stuff is done go ahead and cover up these two blocks with some slabs and that is everything complete if we go ahead and break any of the redstone that should turn both of the tronic killers on and then you know your system is working Fine now is a great time to go ahead and surround all the trident killers in an extra layer of blocks it’s just going all the way around them and this will prevent any mobs from glitching out of these kill chambers falling out of the farm and reducing your rates so just Bring it up to the same layer as your observers and then we’re just going to put a layer of slabs basically above all of this stuff like so and of course do that on the opposite side as well and you also need a slab right above your Droppers too if your trident killer is fully encased we need to place in blocks in these four locations on both sides of your trident killers and then we can connect them up with some magma blocks going between them so we need a line of magma blocks connecting up the two like So and of course make that two wide and then we need to bring out eight magma blocks on the right side so two three four five six seven eight and then make that two wide and then on the left side we also need eight magma blocks going Outwards as well so two three four five six seven and eight and make that two wide with these in place we now need to go ahead and add a ring of glass going all the way around it so basically just one layer of glass all the way surrounding this entire pile of magma Blocks with that one layer of glass in place it’s now time to start building the actual spawning platforms themselves as this is pretty much the easiest part of the build and this is what your spawning platform should look like as you can see it is pretty basic going towards your Afk spot is a five block deep by 34 block wide platform of solid blocks we have the same thing on the opposite side going away from the afk platform but we chop off the corners because nothing can spawn there so it’s better to save time and resources and make it curved so go Ahead and build this exact thing in your minecraft world double count everything make sure it’s all exact when it comes to your spawn platforms it’s very important to make sure that your very furthest block is not above your glass it needs to be one block over from it That way split density can actually kick in and work optimally so make sure that your farm is lined up perfectly these blocks should be a block over from the glass markers that we made at the beginning of the build and now we just need to put a two block tall wall of Glass blocks going all the way around the build this will of course contain the water and it will contain your mobs as well so go ahead and build that up and of course make sure that it’s continuing all the way up from your magma block platforms as well and now You need to cover the platform in scaffolding and some temporary solid blocks as well my temporary blocks are the gold blocks here and you need to place a temporary block in all of those locations that way you can place in the water without much issue the reason why We need temporary solid blocks here is because ice doesn’t melt and turn into water above scaffolding and you also can’t form infinite water sources above scaffolding either so make sure you have these temporary blocks in place and do not ever place a water source right here as that will flood across your entire Form and make way too many water sources so don’t place one there and don’t place one on this side either before we finish the spawning platform we’re gonna go back down a little bit and place into some water sources on the far right side those will turn into bubble columns and That’s fine they’re gonna flow to the middle where we’re gonna put in some coral fans on the sides of these blocks and that’s gonna allow our mobs to drop down into the trident killer just a little bit easier we also need some signs right here to hold in the water From the center water stream so that way it doesn’t overflow downwards and of course make sure that you do this on the opposite side as well the water streams for the middle section is a little bit special so go down in here and turn around so that you’re Lined up with your redstone line we’re going to place it in two stairs right here and then on the opposite side we’re gonna go over by a block and place in two stairs right here as well that way they’re not quite perfectly lined up water log of both of these stairs on Either side and that’s going to allow it so that basically none of your mobs will ever get stuck here in the center there’s technically a dead spot of the sand right between these four blocks but that seems incredibly unlikely and they’ll get nudged by other mobs so this Is the best way that i’ve found to make sure that no mobs get stuck in the center so the next part is optional you can go ahead and place in a whole bunch of coral fans on these edges right here this makes it a little bit easier for Your mobs to fall down into the water streams however it can get rather expensive pretty quickly if you need a good farm for coral fans i have one on the channel check out the icards and the link down below and that’ll give you a lot of fans pretty quickly so now we Need to place in some signs at this layer right here to prevent your water from flowing down into the middle area so just go ahead and put an entire line of signs going down on the right side and on the left side as well and this is Pretty much what it should look like once you have all that stuff in place so now that it’s all ready to go we need to go ahead and place in a water source above each one of our temporary blocks that’ll flood the platform that way all The mobs go to the center area and that is pretty much as simple as that and now that all of your water is in place go ahead and replace all those temporary solid blocks with a scaffolding and this is what the spawning platform should look like once you are done with it and That is really all there is to it we need to build eight of these spawning platforms in total and you basically just build them one right on top of the other one so the spawning platforms really just do go right above the other one so you just put your next spawning Platform right above the water of the one below it and you need eight of these in total so a good building it’s gonna be a little bit tedious but it’s definitely worth it in the long run once you have all eight layers complete you need to put a mini roof above the very Top one this will prevent endermen from spawning and kind of messing up the farm and this will also prevent your mobs from like bouncing up and down and getting slowed down so basically just put some slabs going all the way across this entire thing and they need to be Above every single water source and above the middle area as well and this is essentially what the roof should look like before we put on the actual roof of the build we’re going to go ahead and toss in the tridents to the trident killers so you can go ahead and Just break in via these two glass blocks right here throw in a trident ideally this should have impaling five anything that is touching water is affected by the impaling enchantment and this will really speed up the rate at which things die in your mob farm giving you better Rates so throw an impaling five trident into the left side and of course into the right side as well the proper roof of the build is really easy to make we’re gonna go ahead and place the three blocks on top of these lower slabs and then a layer of leaves directly above This entire slab roof basically just gonna be one big rectangle that covers the entirety of the slab roof and a little bit more so basically this thing should be 34 blocks wide by 12 blocks deep technically you don’t need to have slabs above this little section right Here where we don’t have any spawning spots but i’m gonna fill it in with leaves anyway just because it looks a little bit nicer and it makes the rest of the roof a little bit easier to build as well so go ahead and fill in this entire thing with leaves and once the Entire thing is filled in with leaves we need to expand it and block out the rest of the light so this is going to diminish the light just enough that way it’s dark enough on these spawning platforms and it’s also going to allow you to get surface spawns on the top of The farm if you just put solid blocks right here then that would you know kind of decrease the rates of the farm a lot anyway go to every corner of this rectangle of leaves and we need to go out by seven blocks with a solid blocks So that is three four five six and seven and then three four five six and seven then go ahead and connect up these corners in a diagonal version like so and do that on every side and now that you’ve done that we just need to go Ahead and fill in all the empty spaces with solid blocks and that’s what the entire thing should look like once all these solid blocks are filled in and now every single solid block needs a slab above it to prevent things from spawning on the roof of your Farm and there is our roof complete this thing really is super straightforward it might just take you a little while to throw that together and with that complete mobs will start spawning in your farm so be careful you’re probably gonna have a quite a few reigns of mobs Down here into your trident killers as you can see we can already get a fair few spiders now the mob farm itself is done we’re simply going to finish up the afk spot and that is super simple all we need to do is continue this little tube Of glass going all the way up to the top of the build to our afk spot and then we’re simply going to fill in this thing with water sources so that it forms a bubble column once you’ve done that just go ahead and replace your marker block With a trapdoor and then go ahead and water log that as well this will allow you to pick up all the experience without actually falling down in there the on and off switch slash redstone line is also incredibly simple as well you simply have a lever at the top of The farm that goes down and stair steps into your repeater and that is basically all there is to it while we’re here at the afk spot go ahead and put down your glass panes to contain the player and prevent you from getting knocked around and also add a little bit of a roof Above you with some slabs on top of it to stop the phantoms and the lightning you can also do pretty much anything else that you want right here in the middle of the farm you can add a storage system or an enchantment table an afk fish farm a brewer or basically anything That doesn’t have to do with mobs or hostile mobs you can add it here in the middle put a sugarcane farm i don’t know just make sure that you don’t light up at these platforms and your farm will work perfectly fine item collection for this build is really easy as well you’ll Need three hopper minecarts underneath your ice stream to collect all the items if you have less than three some of them will skip past and go up the item elevator so just send these down into whatever kind of storage system that you want i would highly recommend a Non-stackable item sorter that way you can throw away all the junk items like the bows of weapons and armor and with that the first section of your mob farm is now done you can start turning on the farm holding your looting 3 sword and as you can see you’re going to start Getting items and experience a really really quickly as you can see just a couple of minutes of standing here not even at the afk spot we’re already getting a whole bunch of items going through our water streams and our chests are starting to fill up as well two last Minute notes about the farm is of course when you are building into modules like this both of the water streams should be riding on the left side of the chunk line as you can see here that one’s on the left and that one’s on the left as Well of course the bubble column is only on one block so you’re going to have to like zigzag the water stream and that is super easy to do you just kind of like send it around the corner not a big deal so you need to do that when you have two Of these built and then of course whenever you leave the trident killers running but you log out the game or leave the area they will not be running when you come back to the area they’re gonna shut off so what you need to do to turn them back on is simply flick the Lever to turn them off and then just turn them back on so if you ever notice that the trident killers aren’t running after you log out or get kicked from the game or something just flick the lever and unflick it if you want to try and squeeze some efficiency out of the farm You might be interested in replacing this little 2×2 of magma blocks right here with a solid blocks that way your spiders that don’t die on the magma blocks there and that way you can kill them with looting to get some more items however this could result in more Spiders staying alive for a longer period of time not going into the kill chamber taking up the mob cap for longer and reducing your overall rates so it’s kind of a fine line between getting rid of the super annoying guys and getting some more items out of them i’m not sure Which one is better i think it’s a super small thing but if you notice some spiders dying and you want to fix for it just replace like the 2×2 of magma blocks to either side of both of the trident killers and that should allow them to actually live and of course Don’t forget your coral fans that way these dudes will actually fall off the edges thank you so much for watching
