Minecraft. Botania. How To. 1.16.5

Hello and welcome to how to britannia my name is laura thorne and well hopefully this guide will help you out in the wonderful world of flower magic right then this is for version 1.16 of minecraft britannia i’m was trying to make an update guide um and hopefully this is it now

I’m only actually going to be covering the uh basics of britannia so we’re not going to go into insane systems in every great fact because britannia is huge is massive way bigger than i thought but we are going to cover everything that you need to do to basically get anything else

That is cool and we may look a few of those things now to start off britannia is best to get a guidebook the guidebook isn’t necessary but it definitely helps is called the lexican botania this is your um official guide book for all of your botanical needs or botania needs

It can be crafted or found here’s the crafting recipe it’s traced straight forwards now the main concern britannia starting off with the world is these flowers you’ll start to notice them growing about and they’re the mystical flowers you’ll want to go out and find basically any and all mystical flowers you can and

Just start collecting them as they are very important to the rest of this mod they’re basically like its main resource these mystical flowers now probably the most important mystical flower you can start off finding is the mystical white flower it’s very important for basically all other things now mystical flowers winning inventory

Can be broken down into mystical petals and these are basically a core ingredient you can also make a mortar and pestle here and this will allow you to take your mystical flowers and turn them into dye now this dye that you can get can be combined with a bone meal you can make

Floral fertilizer and foil flavoralizer will make it so you don’t actually have to go searching for all these flowers so this is a good thing to get early on is the floral fertilizers try saying that tonight fast anyways what this lovely stuff does is it makes botanical flowers grow in the area and

So you can basically make them spring up around you you don’t have to go hunting for them which is a pretty decent thing now if you want to upgrade the botanical flower you can apply bone meal to it you can turn it into a tall flower of britannia the tall ones when

Broken down give you more petals once you’ve gotten enough flower petals and you are feeling comfortable in your position where you are with gathering up flowers and the like you can make the petal apothecary very straightforward just require some stone and a light well any kind of petal will do i have a

Mystical blue pedal there uh these things will be needed to be filled up with water and we have lots of sources of water around and you can also customize them add some vines to them make them look a little viny more rustic that’s up to you it’s not totally

Important but once you’ve got water you can fill them with water and this is very important because they don’t really function without water you got one of these and you may have noticed at this point that even before you’re getting anywhere that your inventory might be cluttered with flower petals and flowers

Well that can be remedied by just getting some wool and any kind of mystical plants mushrooms work as well and you can make yourself a flower pouch as you can see as basically any recipes and the flower pouch can store mystical flowers for you in your inventory

We’re going to just put that up in there and now we’ve got some mystical red flowers stored so you can basically store all your flowers with this so gathering becomes a lot easier with a flower pouch so you’ve gotten yourself your flower pouch you can gather flowers now

And you’ve gone yourself your apothecary basin thingy we call it now fill it with some water and take some mystical white petals we’re going to need four here now to do crafting with them you simply chuck them into the apothecary and you’ll see them floating about inside it

Then you take some seeds and it’ll complete the recipe you want to make so you see plus seeds it’ll make this so we add seeds and that will give us pure daisies pure daisies are basically the first thing you want to craft because they give you two very important resources and that is

Living wood and living rock now how you make these things is you put down a pure daisy on the ground it will convert these things into new things like the living rock and the living wood now it does take a amount of time so we’re just going to leave that

For the moment as we move on to the uses of living wood so living wood can be turned into sticks and we really wanted you to start with you want to get three of these sticks two living wood equals one stick so you only get one stick for two living

Woods so you’re going to need about six living wood logs and then you want two flower petals any color will do and this will make you the wand of the forest very important little device you definitely are going to be wanting to make it ah there we go

As you can see it just changed we caught the tail end of that now we’ve got this living rock and living wood in a nice little pattern so now that you have the water the forest you want to make a mana pool this will require living stone five

Living stone on the bottom you put that all together and you get a mana pool however mana pools are useless on their own and they need another object to operate and that is the sucker the mana spreader it can be crafted with any flower petal and middle

Gold to the left living wood on top and bottom now you take all these and you got your little power source here and you got your mana pool right here but they are still not doing anything they’re not interacting with the world and why they’re not injecting the world is you need to

Add power sources to them now power sources aren’t natural you actually have to create the generators and the generators are well what you know flowers so there are two basic flowers to start off with one is the endo flame is crafted with mystical brown petals a white one and one red petal

Then you add some seeds to that and you’ll get the endo flame now the other flower the basic generator you can get is the hydrogens now these are crafted again like everything else flower wise by just throwing them into this thing when there’s water adding a seed and you’ll get the hydrogens

The endo flames create power by burning coal and so you drop coal on them and it will then eat them and see they’re catching fire and the hydrogens eat water that’s nearby so it’s eating this water here and this water here and this water here however because we have these spaces all

Filled in they’re infinite water sources and so keep replacing them now a little word of warning endoflames will last around forever but their fuel doesn’t last around forever the blue flowers fuel lasts around forever which is water but they don’t last around okay but what are they doing because i’m

Going all about these things and i’m not explaining what they’re for well they are for producing your mana however to get them to do that you need the mass spur to actually spread mana if we take our one to the force and shift right click on the mass sphere

Then we shift right click on the mana pool it will start spooging out these green lines of mana into the mana pool and that will start filling with mana mana is your main power source for basically all devices and items and it’s also how you convert ordinary resources into their counterpart of

Well botanical advanced resources so now that this is filling up with mana you can convert things into their counterpart so ender pearl if dropped in and there’s enough mana will turn into a man of pearl and this basically applies to a lot of resources so diamonds can be converted

Iron ingots can be burned glass string even gunpowder all these can be converted now iron is converted into man of steel and mass steel is a kind of a a fun device see it can be turned into all sorts of items most of these can but mass teal is

Like the most basic and easy one to get so this here the floral stick of obedience you can just make it quite simply when right clicked onto a mana spreader will bind all the flowers to start giving its power to them and you can also craft basic things so

If we want to make a pickaxe we can take some living wood sticks that we’ve made and we can take this and this will make a man of steel pickaxe they’re not nothing is too special about the mass steel gear it’s just slightly it’s like the same as

Equipment so this is like iron gear however if you um if it gets damaged and you pull into mana it will repair itself and apparently it’s better getting enchanted however i did not find the asparagus enchanted there’s also another item you can make which i think is just very helpful

Which is the virtuous pickaxe which is made with glass at the tips instead of normal pickaxes iron and this thing is just a silk touch pickaxe for you to use right then so we can start making some items and we’re moving along with this now most of the items are pretty

Straightforward and don’t need explanation however there is one i’d like to explain because it’s a little confusing how to use it this item is the world shaper sextant to use it you right click on an area and then drag from it and it’ll create a circle of that size so you pull

Release and it’ll make a circle then you can fill in the space or you can set up a new circle to dismiss it you shift right click in the air there’s also some decorative gear you can make using dye and magical string you can make some sick sunglasses

And a whole bunch of other cool items like majora’s mask and that mvc question mark above your head there is one other magical item i want to explain and it is assembly halo which can be a portable crafting table and i believe you can also store um recipes

Inside it although i am not 100 certain how that works but you still have parkour crafting table which is pretty cool so there’s a whole bunch of various different things you can create just in the basic thing Now the next thing you want to do is make a runic altar this is what allows you to make rune stones these are another very important crafting recipe which basically allows you to make even more complicated and better things and progression in the mod so to make something in the room table you

Gather together all the ingredients that it may need so for the rune of earth we need mana powder man of steel a mushroom a bit of coal some normal stone and this living stone rock we put all those into the um mana table the runic altar and it will start pumping in

Power now once it has all the power it needs it’s going to take a while to burn up and basically produce all this once it’s completed it’s charging up you can now right click on it with your wand of the furnace forest sorry and this will generate two runestones of the earth for

You and then you can start using these in crafting now runestones come in a lot of different flavors and some of them require other runestones to make so they’re kind of expensive and you’ll need to mess around with making them but once you’ve got yourself some good amount of roomstones you can start

Crafting other and better things now you may notice that you’re spreading mana though seems to take a bit of time and charging mana takes a while too well there’s ways to speed these processes up so one of the ways to do this is to make a spark sparks are very simple to

Make you can make them like this and sparks can sort of remove a step of transference so if we tape you put a spark above a mana pool and then when you need to move mana from one thing to another we you um the spark can do it for you

Now another thing that can help with the movement of mana are mana lenses there are these here see here we have a mana lens of potency you need to combine it with a runestone to turn it into this thing but you put these on the very front of a good old-fashioned mana spreader

And it will start making it throw out mana differently there’s a whole section to the book in mana manipulation under man lenses that basically tell you what each one does so velocity makes the mana travel faster um potency makes it shoot out more mana but you

Lose more man as it goes and it’s this whole science and piping thing i really can’t be bothered to care about when combined with a man of pulse spreader which is a special kind of mass fire that’s being combined with redstone uh you can activate them to do stuff for

You so here we have examples of three different kinds of amana lenses which have very very cool applications this one here when it shoots out this mana deals damage to the target and that was brutal uh this one here shoots out a beam that destroys everything in front of it

Which is very useful and this mana spreader right here acts like a piston so you can basically trigger it and it’ll move objects for you now one of the things that you’ve been missing though is portable mana so mana can be carried on your person with a mana tablet one of these little

Doohickeys here these are crafted with either a mana diamond or a man of pearl either work on the center surround with livingstone and you get a mana tablet now mana tablets can be charged by being thrown into a pool with the one the force you can also choose how it goes so

Right now it’s on its default setting and this will suck mana out of the mana pool and fill our man tablet however we can also reverse that by saying deposit mana here now another application of these runestones which i think is important to note is you can start making more advanced

Kinds of flowers now and while that sounds a little silly it’s actually quite important so there are other kinds of generation flowers all right the explosion room requires two different runestones to make the extropymian they’re all puns anyways it requires all sorts of stuff to make including the runestones and once you

Craft it in the pale apothecary they’ll make a flower which is powered by explosions so you can make new and better kinds of generation flowers these will give you more power than ones before i believe that the munch dew likes eating living material you leave nearby’s

So when there’s leaves near it it will eat leaves and produce mana from eating leaves so you can basically have a whole bunch of new ways to generate magic like the thermillion which generates mana by consuming lava nearby very useful for another anyways there’s also a different kind of

Flower you can make which are function of flowers function flowers actually do stuff for you so bella thorne um hurts things around it safe for players so it’s um if you give it just a tiny bit of mana it will hurt stuff around it to use functioning flowers you simply put them down

Then you bind them to a mana pool using the wand of the force and then once they’re bound they all fulfill their functions so this one hurts nearby living entities and so will kill sheep whereas the dandeflow when bound to a mana source will push items that are in front of its

Way of breezing which will be in the direction opposite to you where you put it down so it’s like a continuing force so it’s like woo and i’ll push items for you they’re kind of useful actually Once you have done all that you can with runestones made the flowers that you want for production and made whatever new items that have been unlocked from them that you will be able to find in the luxon britannia there will be various trinkets and various baubles and stuff that you can make

Then we can move on to progressing to the next step of the mod and that is in getting terra steel ingots now these are a rather expensive thing to make they require you to make a terrorist terrorist that seal this plate thing i’m not going to try to pronounce his

Name anyways to make this thing you need blocks of lapis master block as well and a whole bunch of runestones now once you have that the plate still is actually useless it needs to be put onto a bed of living rock and lapis blocks set up in this pattern

Get all that together and for good measure slap a spark on top it and then store up a whack ton of mana and get i know there’s a lot to it sorry and get amana pearl amanda dion and mal steel ingot throw those all into the center of the plate

And this will start a process of creating the mana steel ingot now this takes a lot of power i think it takes half a full mana pool it might take a full map hole and so for the transference you might want to get several of mana spreaders set up you may

Want to have several sparks up all that together yeah half a man pool and all that will give you a single terra steel ingot now luckily you don’t have to build this thing every single time but still you’ll have to feed in all that power and all that mana

Now i made a system a very dangerous system to help me get mad it involves using the explosion flower and uh basically um what you want to do is um make this exploding flower and uh give it a little activation symbol itself explosion next to it next to all of your delicate redstone

And um that will start filling up a mana pool for you okay now here’s the secret though with this system right so comparators they can uh check how full mana pool is so if you set the comparator next to a man pool like this and you get that redstone you get this

Comparator here you can get that and you get all that going um then once it’s full it will send the comparative signal straight through the whole system and then you can set all that up basically to um move so that it can sit off this thing which will then check the signal

And it will stop your redstone clock from activating see this whole redstone clock is just counting down how long this whole debacle takes and uh basically they’ll sell off another one of these and then it will send more math through and it will continue the signal so the loop starts again and

Nothing flows up you see if uh this mana spreader and this thing are full and we can’t actually move anywhere it’ll blow up my whole system so we’ve made this insane setup which i hope to automate and explore more in another video on how to make basically a automated explosion power

Source but as for now um i just wanted to point out this really cool thing about comparators and map pools right then so you’ve gotten your uh terra steel ingots and you’re happy with them then you can move on to crafting new terra steel items like the tara steel chest plate

Which requires an old chest piece and a whole bunch of other stuff but that’s as good as diamond and also can be repaired by mana so it’s like a repairable diamond chest piece that’s also enchantable you can also make the terasteal weapons which are really cool

So we got the terra blade which hits pretty hard and sometimes will fire a beam of mana if you have manual supply which damages stuff that’s really cool you can also make the terra cutter which is a very expensive axe of this terra steel stuff which annihilates trees and finally

I think the coolest item requires a whole mana tablet in it is the tear steel pickaxe or the shatter now this thing we have it fully charged but the actual normal state is there is a d rank and they’re they’re just like a normal pickaxe and you’re like okay

This does nothing but if you throw them into a mana pool and fully charge them up and you can get one of these the terra shatter and if you shift right click with it it gets all drippy like this and then oh boy they can obliterate huge areas of land

And just mine insanely fast for you and they’re they’re quite awesome really so once you’ve had your fun with tara steel and you’ve got a bit of it left over we can move on to the next stuff which is contacting the elf world now this requires a little bit of difficulty to do

You’re going to need to make these mana pylons they’re um have other applications besides what we’re doing right now but for right now they’re just a step along the way so you make these map islands and then you want to take terra steel nuggets and create nature

Pylons you also want to take teracell ingots and make the elven gateway core and several of these um glib marine living wood which are made with glowstone you’ll want to make i believe two of these natural pylons at least once you have all that done you’re going to make an elven

Gateway now the elven gateway actually can be found in the elf mossy chapter and you click on portal to l time and it can actually generate for you a little thing that you can put down and i’ll show you how to make the thing so this thing will require this whole

Setup and the elven gateway core and it’ll also require some mana pylons to be set up these elf these nature piles set up over mana pools so once you’ve got that all set up you take your wand of the forest right click the base of the portal and this

Will then suck in the mana from the pools and nature pylons into the gateway and hold it open now it constantly requires mana just be held open in the first place but this gateway can do some really cool stuff so the elves within want to trade stuff

With us and one of the things they want to trade is our lexicon britannia so if we throw it in they’ll throw it back out of us and it’ll be all this golden cover but there’s a whole bunch of other items they also enjoy trading with us

So if we give them living wood and throw it through at cost of a band mana from the pools they’ll throw us back out dreamwood if we throw in two mass steel ingots they’ll throw out an elementium ingot and it proceeds onwards we can get pixie dust out of them

A dragon stone elven quartz and elf glass so they basically trade with us through this elven gateway now the elven stuff can be turned into items as well so you can make this cool pickaxe of it which is better than a dime pickaxe and you can also combine this pickaxe

With the terror shatter and then you can get the terror shatter in pink letters and this thing just like destroys even more terrain and it’s even more absurd yeah so armor you just make it like armor but you can also now make more efficient mana spreaders out of the elven mana spreader

And you can also make elven mana lenses which help you spread mana better and have all their own applications like shooting fireworks whenever you spread mana okay well i guess they have their application sometimes you won’t have the resources you want though and that is where alchemy comes in

So alchemy is done by making an alchemist catalyst and as you can see it’s made like this requires ender pearl several brewing stands you put that all together and you can make the alchemist catalyst you put that underneath a mana pool and well it converts things for you so

Throw a gas tear in it’ll give you ender pearl throw seeds in i’ll give you a potato throw a potato in they’ll give you carrots throw carrots and you’ll get beetroots they’re beetroot seeds in and you get watermelon seeds then you get pumpkin seeds oh cocoa beans and finally all the way

Back to normal seeds alchemy and you can upgrade the alchemist callus using our new got elemental ingots into a chondrine catalyst which requires anacenter then some pixie dust and some elementary and ingots and if you put that underneath you get the creation catalyst which can clone items for you so we put colon

And it gives us two colons and you only really need one colon so i don’t know i do want two goldens but oh you put coal in and you get two coal out sorry uh very improper of me and that is how you can make the new catalyst and clone items

And how you can get all this pixie stuff but there is even more that you can do with britannia another step in the greater picture if you go to the end and you happen to have a glass bottle with you you can right click in the air and fill

That bottle of the void and so basically the first time you um enter the ends come with a whole bunch of bottles and just fill them all up these allow you to craft some of the most powerful artifacts in botania these are the ender artifacts a whole bunch of directional

Decorational things there’s a black hole talisman there’s the hands of ender which acts like in portable ender chest there’s also the magic swords you can make you can make the soul scribe there’s just tons of really good gear these two swords the star caller and the thunder collar okay what do

These do what what what do these do well star collar hits like a diamond sword and calls down stars now thundercaller deals a massive amount of thunder damage to everything in the area and these are just two of the many things you can make with these ender air in a bottle There is one final step to botania which i think you need to learn in which to allow you to complete your set of knowledge in botania and allow you to make everything else you want to make and have all that fun and that is something the guy guardian

Now the guy guardian is a very very tough enemy very tough boss it gives you very important things for the final and most powerful things in britannia but you need to be ready to fight it so get some good gear now remember from the map hylon well you want to take that sucker

And put some pixie dust on some ingots and make a gaya pie lawn now you also need to defeat our friend the wither and set up a beacon with some iron under it then you want to set the pylons around it in the lex can betania if you click on alpha prime

There’s the ritual of gaia this will allow you to basically see the whole setup that you’ll need and it’ll fill it up for you it’s really nice [Applause] but there’s a little bit of a problem to this ritual so to activate you take a tear steel ingot shift right click on the pylon

And then it says there’s not enough space it’ll highlight the area around it and you need to basically clear all that out for this ritual to work and also sometimes you need to fill in some spaces so you need gaps so now we’ve cleared out the appropriate

Amount of space for the gaia guardian battle we are best be ready for the fight of our lives one of the toughest battles in all minecraft you will encounter now to start off the thing as we said before shift right click on the beacon with the terasteal ingot and then really

Loud metal music will start playing and this will song the guy guardian which looks like they have a clone of you and we are um well you just have to kill it and it’s a bit of a long fight i’ll go away then once you’ve slain the guy guardian throw your phone

Up the window because it’s making noises um and you will get gaia spirits with these guys spirits you want to make the guide spirit ingot which is quite important for the next step now you take these and you go back to this and you shift right click with this

And this will summon the level two guy guardian which uh is also a very tough fight and plays different music though and um this thing shoots beams up the air and teleports more often and once you slay this one it will drop some of the rarer gear

In the game the one we are concerned with is a magic dice when you roll it it gives you a random item one of six each one’s really powerful and you can get all of them by dean the guy guardian multiple times the fruit of grizzle

Which keeps you always fed the key of the king’s law which um summons magic weapons which are projectiles so it’s basically um gilgamesh’s weapon from fate it also creates the ring of thor makes your terror shatter shatter even more area so this can go into a cube now there we go

It shatters even more than i did before the ring of odin gives you extra health and constant regeneration the eye of fugal allows you to return yourself To your previous location that you have marked and the ring of loki perhaps one of the most complicated of the things in britannia so if you have a structure let’s go with this donut here you sneak right click with the empty hand and it will create this little memory thing then

You sneak right click on all the zones you want to copy then you right click again on the zone where you’re just at and now this will move the spell freely and then when you put down then when you put down blocks well shifting it will clone the structure you just had made

And generate more of it so you can quickly build things and it’s still very confusing but quite useful and so for example um we can make these rings out of dirt here so it just copies sort of what you had lay out so you can sort of copy structures with it

And the final thing i’m going to show you how to do is to activate the mana storm bomb so this is a device that requires guys spirits to make and it’s basically super tnt so all you have to do is put it down and then shoot it with some mana in a

Mana beam and then it will create these um lovely little vortexes that will progressively cause greater and greater explosions and if you set it up right they can actually trigger each other because these beams that they fire up do activate them so you can basically have the um mana storms create a right

Awful mess you can see we got quite a few going on there right now and well away it goes Anyways that is how to botania i hope you found it interesting i am going to try to make a video on creatine a super efficient automated power source it might may or may not work still going to make a video on my attempt um so if you want to see how to make
