Who wants a cow sandwich hello dwellers and welcome to another Minecraft snapshot overview today I’m doing the most current one that just came out today 12 w 41A and it has some pretty cool mechanics that I really wanted to go over with because it’s just fun as heck So at least to me that might be because I’m a terrible evil person or something I don’t no I’m not a psychologist I’m a caveman so anyway uh this uh this new snapshot adds a new item to the game can you guess what this is if you said the word Anvil give Yourself a pat on the back good job you so anyway these uh anvils right here you can repair items on them I’ll get into that a little later uh but they also have their own durability for um different like damages obviously so we have a fully durable anvil right here Which you haven’t used at all so it’s you know looks pristine like the day it came out of the kill uh then we have a slightly damaged Anvil and I mean you could probably sell it on eBay for about 75% of the price you paid for that one I guess I’m sure I’m sure some collectors wouldn’t mind buying it and then here we have the completely almost it’s about to break on you if you even touch it Anvil and uh I don’t think you get a penny for this one but it still works just barely it’s Going to break on you so anyway uh to craft an anvil all you have to do is you need six blocks of iron and an iron ingot you place the three blocks of iron on the top and the bottom and then you put the iron ingot in the middle and you Get an anvil who would have thought that an anvil made out of iron uh and you have to build something very similar to how an anvil looks that’s pretty that blows my mind so anyway what an anvil does like I said earlier allows you to Repair your it items but you also get to rename it now the only thing is is that it actually requires um you to have levels like it uses your levels up in your exp bar and um it can be kind of annoying uh cuz I think that some of the For renaming especially it uses so many levels that I find it kind of stupid but anyway let’s just show you um so here I have two iron axes and I have two Diamond axes to show you that I think that the levels are how many levels you need to rename something don’t really Scale up with the type of item it is I think it’s just a flat rate but I might be wrong so we’re going to find out um so we have two iron axes right we got an iron axe we got another iron axe and uh To repair them it will it will cost two levels and but I could also rename it which will raise the cost to 17 so as you can see uh we’re going to give this axe a really great name so we’re going to name it Frank and hold your axe is Now named Frank so Frank is brought into the world and I just dropped 17 levels so now I went from 48 to 31 let’s see if the diamond axes do that too so what’s kind of funny is it actually saves your leg oh so no it does scale up with the Type of item and that makes sense to be honest I find it ironic that exactly the amount of levels I need for this is uh how many I can do for that so that’s great we’re going to rename this guy we’re going to name him munchkin Masher I don’t know why but I wanted to and as you can see you can capitalize anything you want and it’ll be that way so um that’s what the anvils do if you did un this one it would slightly degrade into that one and if you did on This one eventually it would go just disappear break on you and no one wants a broken Anvil so the next mechanic uh very closely related to the Anvil is gravity hello little test piglets even though you are cows and in fact not of the swine variety oh look at that they’re like Please don’t kill us Master caveman we don’t want to die we want to produce milk and other cow things like pooping our butt on the floor and you have to step in it and we make stinky smells cuz we’re cows and cows are very nasty creatures anyway okay so here’s an anvil Right you got an anvil if you place an anvil down it follows gravity now what’s really cool is that um the gravity actually affects how much damage it does when it lands on a mob so uh these are actually an effective trap tool if you Can figure out a way to make it that you press a button and uh you know these things just deploy they also stack on top of each other which is pretty cool so it kind of follows sand physics it’s very similar so let’s just test out the cow From this height ready now I don’t think this will kill the cow but it did hurt him as you can see he is in slight pain he was like ow what the heck why’d you do that to me this cow he he might have to go to the Hospital or the mortuary but as you can see just a uh increase of one block or no that’s two blocks two blocks of falling caused it to die uh this many blocks actually kills a creeper in one hit so we got uh how many blocks high is This one two I don’t freaking know one two three four five six seven eight nine nine blocks of fall damage with an anvil kills a creeper in one hit uh so there’s that let’s just eh kill this cow too and you know what you for good measure who wants a cow Sandwich a doesn’t work that way I guess you get to survive except no you’re going to be killed by the munchkin muncher yeah Munch can Munch that anyway uh speaking of the cows we have a slight little thing and we’re going to go into our little love shack right here hello There cows no you are not fre where did your where did your lover go did you eat him did you eat your lover you’re a terrible terrible little granny cow cany can of cow let me find you a new lover let’s go over here I Threw I threw it eggs in this hole but they apparently despawned so you know what we’re going to go on an expedition in the wild I had that love shack all set up I mean that cow is going to score and then he decides to eat its Lover that’s just great I mean you you plan for things in advance but cow cannibalism isn’t really something on your list you know oh there’s a cow come here hello follow me oh here we go cow orgy okay so if you breed two cows some sometimes you’ll get experience like that I’m Getting very slight experience from these cows come on yes so if you breed animals you now get experience that’s all I really wanted to show you with that I don’t know why I had to make an elaborate setup like that but I did cuz you guys are awesome Um another thing is I’m not going to actually show you it but beacons like now the perks they give you you you get to stay in there forever for the rest of your life little can of cow kill you you already killed your cow don’t you come Over me no anyway uh beacons now uh the perks you get are a little less intrusive on your screen so it’d be easier for you to actually see what you’re doing and all that stuff and really that’s about it this this update’s really just mostly about the Anvils and I really just like the fact that you can drop anvils on stuff and kill it that’s my favorite part of the whole snapshot probably my favorite Blog the Anvil is my favorite block in Minecraft so there you go I’ll talk to you guys later see you Video Information

I know that I failed to mention that the anvil fuses enchantments, and that is a super big deal. I never really use enchantments so the thought hadn’t really crossed my mind, sorry about that.
