Minecraft Creatures Invade D&D!
As part of Mojang’s recent partnership with Wizards of the Coast, they created a new Monstrous Compendium. This contains five of the creatures from Minecraft that you and I are familiar with.
The Blaze
The first creature featured is the blaze, with a CR of 5. They have immunity to fire damage, emit light, drop blaze rods upon death, take cold damage from water, and have a multi-attack due to their three Fireballs.
The Creeper
The creeper is CR one-half and has an interesting condition – they cannot take bonus actions or reactions. They drop their head upon death when killed by a Charged Creeper, hiss when within 10 feet of a humanoid creature, can explode, and are afraid of cats, possibly including tabaxi.
The Ender Dragon
The Ender Dragon is CR 19 and is different than other dragons in D&D because its ender crystals actually heal it. It has its bite attack, wing attack, and breath weapon.
The Enderman
The Enderman is CR 6, has a 20-foot Misty step, drops ender pearls when killed, is susceptible to water, and makes multiple strong attacks.
The Wolf
The wolf is CR 1/4 and has pack tactics.
With these new creatures, players can now bring the world of Minecraft into their D&D campaigns, adding a new level of excitement and challenge to their adventures.
For those who want to experience the full immersion of these creatures in their D&D games, the Medieval Fantasy Tavern | D&D Fantasy Music and Ambience provides the perfect background music to set the mood for their gaming sessions.
