I was searching for a tutorial on how to make a custom totem sound for my hardcore series and i couldn’t find one anywhere on youtube so i decided to make one myself i’m going to begin with the very basics here so if you’re already experienced with creating and managing Resource packs i’ve organized this video into chapters feel free to skip around to the parts that you need starting from scratch the first thing that you’re going to want to do is create a new resource pack right click anywhere on your desktop and select new and folder Once the folder is created give it any name you’d like and open it up inside click new and text document and rename it pack.mcmeta this will pop up click yes for this next step you’re going to need a text editor i recommend notepad plus plus as i’ve been using it for years There’s a link to it in the description after installing notepad plus plus right click the text file and select open with and find notepad plus plus in the document you’ll want to paste these lines which i’ve left in the description the number here corresponds with the Version you’re running 7 for 1.17 8 for 1.18 9 for 1.19 etc once the lines are pasted click file and save go back to the folder that you made and create a new folder inside called assets inside assets make a folder named minecraft inside minecraft make a folder called sounds Inside sounds make a folder called item and finally inside item make a folder called totem that was a lot of folders so double check that your folder path looks like mine once you’ve done that find a sound that you want to use for your totem as an Example i’ll use a sound i found on youtube to download the sound copy the link of the video and then go to get mp3.pro paste the link and click download now that you have the mp3 file you’ll have to convert it to an og file to do this i like to use convertio.co Drag and drop your mp3 file and make sure that you have mp3 to ogg selected before clicking convert go to the settings and change the quality to highest you can also trim the clip and adjust the volume here as well if it’s too loud click ok and then convert After it’s converted click download drag your ogg file into the totem folder that you created earlier and rename it use underscore totem.ogg to install the resource pack open minecraft click options resource packs and open pack folder this will take you to a folder that you can install packs in Drag the folder in go back to minecraft and it should appear on the available list click the arrow to enable it and now you should have a custom totem sound i’m in danger if this helped you out leave a like so more people can find it and maybe check Out my hardcore series as well if you’re into that stuff bye Video Information
