Today I will be playing Minecraft with the Distant Horizons Mod while using Terralith 2.0 and Biomes O’ Plenty as the terrain generators. This video was requested by some viewers so I thought I would get this out as soon as I can.
A few things to note about this video: This mod doesn’t support shaders, so I didn’t use them. I know the chunk animator chunks popping in is weird, but I didn’t really notice them until I already generated a ton of terrain, and I was afraid I might lose it if I exited the game to remove the mod. This video is shorter than usual because it took me over two hours to generate all the terrain for this video, and I had had enough by then (no CPU could keep up with generating the terrain in real time while flying around). The stuttering at some point in the video was caused by my RAM being full – I have 24 GB but that is clearly not enough for this mod. The video was recorded in 1080p but upscaled to 4K so YouTube wouldn’t remove much quality, so I would say it looks way better than your typical 1080p YouTube video.
