It’s no secret that many minecraft dungeons players are hungry for more content even with the recent release of the jungle awakens DLC fans are eager to get more information on what the future of this title holds thankfully we’ve got you covered this is Myles with Windows central and Today we’ll be sharing the official roadmap for minecraft dungeons straight from the game directors mouth while some players found the initial content offering of minecraft dungeon somewhat underwhelming mo yang in double xi seem to have a clearer vision on how to keep players coming back to the game for months and months Our very own matt brown recently had the opportunity to chat with the game director mons olson about the creeping winter DLC and what players can look forward to with the next round of major game updates if you’re new to the channel and like what you see be sure to Subscribe and if you want to support us even further go ahead and like and share this video let’s get into it one major concern for a lot of players stems from the monetization model of minecraft dungeons which advertise paid DLC straight out of the gate thankfully olson clarified that while some content Will strictly be paid DLC most of the games main feature updates will be included free of charge to anyone who owns the game as we patch the game around the time of DLCs we’re looking to do both paid and free content we have a community that we want to look after and That we’re motivated by and so obviously we want to serve them as well as we can the jungle awakens added some amazing areas to explore and some cool new weapons and artifacts but it didn’t serve in expanding the endgame loop or gameplay systems in meaningful ways in our interview Olson addressed these Concerns and how they’re being addressed with the creeping winter DLC for the next DLC which is creeping winter we’re looking to also expand some of the game systems a little bit further we’re looking at changing up the item economy with new merchants in the camp and new items to find and then after That we’ll also begin to gradually add more dedicated endgame content to further expand on the intentions of this update Olsson also expressed the team’s plans of enriching the players camp area I don’t want to make promises when we’re not entirely finished with the DLC but certainly just making the camp feel a Bit more lively and have some interesting merchants is something that we’re looking to do early data mines reveal the plan currency called diamond dust which would serve as a way for players to upgrade their favourite items without having to regrind drops on higher difficulties it sounds like this feature is still currently being Iterated on but there’s hope for its inclusion in the creeping winter update as well diamond dust is without getting into too many specifics something that we’re figuring out the right way for you to upgrade and retain your favorite weapon while still encouraging players to explore different archetypes and try New things as the game gets updated and as we change the balance of items and enchantments it’s just something we want to do finding the right balance between those two and a system to do that that’s certainly something that we’re considering for the creeping winter update Microsoft hasn’t officially Revealed any plans for content beyond the creeping winter DLC but Olson confirmed additional expansions or something players can certainly look forward to we’ll be looking to explore new biomes and environments with every DLC basically going forward and as we do that brings both new styles of gameplay that might be appropriate and an Opportunity to bring in some things from minecraft as well so the base game has a bunch of things that we haven’t explored yet that we may want to explore in the future And while iconic minecraft zones like the end and the nether weren’t officially address in this interview it’s safe to say that the lappet ated nether portal in your camp wasn’t put there just for show most of us are in planning stages rather than something super concrete because it Takes time to develop them but it’s the start of a full roadmap of content our team was very grateful to sit down with Mons Olson and get some official information regarding the future of Minecraft dungeons while development is always a very fluid thing we now know the team’s priorities and intentions for The next few content drops there may be a little bit of a wait but it sounds like big things are on the horizon what are your thoughts on the future of Minecraft dungeons let us know in the comments section below for more Xbox and PC focused content be Sure to subscribe to our Channel thanks so much for watching and we’ll catch you in the next video Video Information
