Minecraft dungeons is dead yeah i know the developers keep releasing new seasons for the game but the seasons are gaining fewer and fewer players with each passing one plus the second anniversary rewards that launched this past may barely attracted more players back to the game at all because like who Really loaded the game up for a new sparkler and anniversary cape the seasons anniversary are fine and all but they don’t add anything truly new to the experience and therefore they don’t have to pull to get players to join back in like when they’re offering dlcs the dlc Is a game they always gave players new weapons levels challenges and way more there was a reason to load the game back up and look at the player number over the years the only time people logged back into the game in any large numbers at all was during the launch of the dlcs Represented by the main spikes in the graph here it is obvious that to keep this game even remotely afloat the dlcs are necessary however was that even enough to keep minecraft dungeons going look back at the graph again the dlc spikes offer an interesting pattern after the launch there was always a huge Influx of players with an exponential drop off just a few days later take for example when the flames of nether was released back in february of 2021 we saw a jump from about 200 stream views a day to 115 000 that’s an enormous jump for a Dlc however by the time march 2nd hit we were back to 200 views a day this shows that people would log in see what was new in the dlc and then immediately tuned the game back out until the next one dropped the dlcs were offering the Bare minimum to pull players back in but it could not sustain them after seeing that the dlc did not have that lasting power the developers turned to doing seasons which would try to offer new challenges and such to keep players invested for longer however this had the opposite effect and the player numbers Would never reach the dlc highs ever again once the seasons were introduced it’s like the developers are at a loss of how to keep people invested in this game now while some people may enjoy minecraft dungeons and myself when it first came out the majority just don’t Stick around for this game and while these numbers alone show that minecraft is dying fairly quickly i feel that the final nail in the coffin has come now they’ve revealed the new spin-off of minecraft itself minecraft legends they tried the dungeon crawler version of minecraft with very limited success and Now that side team is trying something completely new with minecraft legends and it seems that they’ve learned from the mistakes of dungeon because this one appears to be implementing more creativity into the game with the ability to construct things which is what the original game was known for but Now they’re mixing with the new genre of strategy adventure this ability to be creative is what i think draws people to minecraft to begin with and what is truly lacking from the dungeon-crawling adventure of minecraft dungeons and like i said earlier minecraft dungeons is not a bad game however dungeon crawler game Players gonna flock to bigger name dungeon crawlers or some indie titles and minecraft players are going to flock to games with more minecraft elements involved than just simply having sprites leaving no one flocking to minecraft dungeons and while legends may not have the staying power either one thing is For certain it is keeping more of what people like about minecraft with the creativity side of things than what minecraft dungeons did i think dungeons is coming to a natural close and new content and new players are going to drop off faster and faster especially with minecraft legends coming out Shortly what do you all think do you think minecraft dungeons is indeed finally dead the announcement of minecraft legends do you think it’s been dead for a long time now people just sort of holding on or do you think the game will continue to live on well into The future and be the pinnacle of minecraft’s career let me know in the comments down below and if you enjoyed this video be sure to like and subscribe to the channel by all means go out there find a great game to play i just simply have a great rest of the day you Video Information
