Hello wonderful people it’s wild here today i’m going to show you how to build this magical fairy tale tower with its whimsical color palette and swooping spires this build is perfect for any fantasy fairy or cottage core world or try swapping out the block colors of the roof for a medieval look The materials you’ll need for this build are on your screen now here’s a layout for today’s build it’s sort of a keyhole shape with the circle making up the tower and then this front section here is for the entry to the build we’ll begin by creating the walls for This build starting with five high posts out of strip spruce logs they go in either corner like this then on either side of the front one above create a little beam like this and then across the top now you can switch to your smooth sandstone and fill in these side walls As well as the front leaving room for a door and a window and of course creating the little gable like this finally add two stripped spruce logs coming out of the posts and here’s what it should look like For the roof here use some purpose slabs coming across four then some stairs coming across four then a row of three stairs like this and repeat on the other side Then for the top place two slabs a block an upside down stair and a slab Make sure underneath you place some purpur stairs to neaten up the look now i add some decorations to the front of the wall starting with a small window with white glass or stained glass then create a little window frame with some spruce trap doors For the decoration around the door use some oxidized copper and some end rods and for a bit of sparkle and amethyst cluster finally finish off for the spruce door here i’m placing this from the inside so it’s flush with this wall so it’s set back when you’re looking From the front of the build now it’s time to work on the tower and for this we’ll be using a mixture of moss cobblestone stone mossy stone bricks and stone bricks for the first layer of the tower we’ll be building up eight high in total so You can mark that in if you’d like one two three four five six seven eight i will be using predominantly the moss to give it an overgrown look as well as the stone brick and mossy stone brick When you’re randomizing texture like this it helps to take a step back see if you’re happy with how it looks and you can always go in and change things as you go follow this texture around the whole circle making sure you leave the gap over there free Here’s how it should look so far you can see there is a small section missing above the roof here and from above it should look like this now you want to take those same blocks and just fill in this little section leaving this block free that way nothing is missing from the front From here on up the height of the tower we will be getting smaller and smaller with our circles and using stone brick stone and cobblestone this next layer is three high and follows a circle like this You can randomize as you go or if you’re in creative you can fill the whole thing out of stone bricks and then replace after you’ve come up with the shape So here is the shape of the next circle you can see it goes one two one two one two all the way around now we need to build up an additional too high Do Here’s how that looks now we’ll have a small too high layer following this shape like this So as you can see it is groups of three a corner of three three a corner of three and so on and this layer is just too high So just one more on top of what we’ve already built Now we will build up another four on top of these this time leaving out each corner like this That’s our four high and now we need to go all the way around So as you can see we have three with diagonals the next layer is just too high and follows a shape like this We need to build up one high on each of these Don’t forget to step back and check if you are happy with how the block randomization is going next we have a five high layer and for this we’ll be following this kind of shape so sides of three with diagonals of one like this So And we need to build another four up on each of these or that total of five Here’s how it’s looking so far we are almost at the very top of this stone brick part of the tower to finish this off build too high on each of these more flat sides these ones here Build up one on top of each of the corners like this and then set one behind these two high sections create a little u like this filling in the wall You should end up with a somewhat square on the top with sides of three Now we need to create a small swoop at the top of the build so to do this build too high all the way around with some stone bricks On the top layer build one out leaving out the corners here Is how it should look from above on each three wide face place a upside down stair a stone brick slab in each corner And then slabs all the way around like this Here’s how it should look from above now we’ll switch over to some spruce stairs and spruce trap doors to create some arch shaped supports for the top of the build start by placing a stair this way and then facing outwards and this is on either side of The center of each of the faces here then place a trapdoor And an upside down stair on top of that trapdoor with a trapdoor on the other side this really connects these two stairs then you want to create a diagonal with the stairs place two more trapdoors and finally two more stairs Here’s how the shape should look now repeat this arch on either side of each of this point on the build so we’ll have one here one here and one here two on the back and two on the side Here’s how it looks as a little finishing detail for these arches place one extra stair at the bottom so it curves back down Now we can get working on the platform for the house we’ll be creating a nice big circle up here for the build to sit on and it helps when creating that circle to think of these flatter sides as faces begin placing one back from the edge of these supports and building Five across each face with some dark oak planks Then connect each of these flat faces by building two out from either side and it should join like this Now you can fill in the whole floor Now to finish off the edge we’ll use some spruce stairs and planks start by placing some spruce planks in each of these corner gaps here Here’s how it looks from above and then use spruce stairs creating a pattern like this with curved and then straight on these um two wide gaps here and then just straight across the flat faces Here’s how our platform is looking all right so i’ve marked in the layout for the house section sitting on top of the tower here and i’ll be breaking this as i go but you can see that it is a circle that sits two in um from the edge of this spruce here Except on the left hand side of the build there is a little section that sticks out and that’s what going to be starting first with so for this first part of the build build five high with strip spruce logs This is going in each corner like this this section of the room will be similar in style to the entryway though we’ll start by building one across one above and filling in these walls with smooth sandstone for the front the window starts two blocks up and is three high And then you just need to build the small gable here’s how it looks for the walls for the rest of the build build posts which is eight high one two three four five six seven eight and these are going on the two sides of each of the five wide faces You’ll notice the corners are not being filled in here you’ll also need to build an additional three on top of these two posts here continuing with the strip spruce logs place three across the bottom and top of each five wide panel and on this side here where we’ve got the parts sticking out Just do across the top And then switch to some strip spruce wood which is the one with the texture of bark all the way around the outside and place that on the diagonals Here’s how it looks from above now we can add in the gap for the door i’m doing this on the back side in this gap here and begin filling in with smooth sandstone start by filling in around the bottom layer like this and then fill in each corner Now we’ll fill in these faces leaving space for some windows so a three high window here A three high window on the right hand side And on the back above the door build up two or four leaving space for a too high window Before we start adding on things like details on the roof we’ll add a small turret round on the back hand side between the right hand side window and the door start with some smooth sandstone stairs and these go on the corner one block above this spruce here create a corner with some smooth Sandstone And then build up to the height like this then come out with some stairs and meet up with that height Now build up an additional too high leave room for a window then one high and leave room for a window on the front hand side and then come up two more Like this The build is really starting to come together and it’s time to add some details beginning with some small arches on top of each of these posts here between the wall and where will be the roof they’re just created with some stairs and trapdoors On this left hand side of the build where we have got the additional sections sticking out just place the stairs and top slabs and also place two strip spruce logs coming out from these smaller beams here now add some decorations to the windows starting with white stained glass in each of the spaces Don’t forget the two up on the little turret up here the decorations on these three high windows on the front and the left uh right hand side place a slab and a block of purple three amethyst clusters two end rods and a chain and then some spruce trapdoors These tiny windows up here just place trapdoors either side And for the small window over here there’s a trapdoor on the top and bottom making sure you can still place a block above and below And then trapdoors going up the sides And finish off with an amethyst cluster on the top the reason why this window cannot have only is to have a block replaceable underneath is we are going to be having a banister going around here and finally this window above the door is decorated with a block and a slab two end rods Some mammoth clusters and some trapdoors To create the banister you’ll need dark oak fence gates dark oak trapdoors dark oak buttons mossy stone brick walls and oxidized copper begin by placing the oxidized copper on top of these spruce planks in the cornery sections of the circle Then place a wall either side of these Place some more walls either side of these five long sections of stairs And then you want to place a wall on top of each of the copper blocks and an additional one on top of each of these five long section walls Every you know corner wall is skipped like this Switch to your dark oak fence gates and place two connecting to these walls And then fill in the gap with the dark oak trapdoor making sure you place it from the inside so it is flush with these stairs This one here might be a little bit tricky to place but if you get behind the gate you can easily place it to finish it off take your dark oak trapdoors and place them along the top like this And finalize with some dark oak buttons Here’s how it’s looking i’m just putting a spruce door in the gap at the back and now it’s time to start working on the roof we’ll begin by placing some smooth sandstone blocks which will allow us to place our roofing blocks a bit later Notice how they’re being placed just outside of this spruce circle I’ll start on the purple roof on this section here beginning with some slabs and then stairs Finish off with some slabs across the top and stairs underneath now that this roof is finished you can look behind the roof and place two blocks of smooth sandstone to fill in those gaps now we can add the purple roof to the top of this smaller turret Starting with a little square of slabs leaving out the corners And a square of blocks on top come up one with a stair on top and then finish with two blocks and an end rod here’s how it looks Now the roof of this main tower is made out of oxidized cut copper and will work up in rings when you’re going around you’re just building circles so it should be symmetrical but you will need to leave out the blocks that would otherwise be where this small turret is We’ll start by placing some oxidized cut copper blocks around the sandstone like this And then place some slabs coming off of these The next layer of this roof place some stairs on these flat faces here And then to fill in the corners place two blocks and then a slab Working our way up the next layer we will have a block in the corner like this and a slab coming off of it And then we will have some stairs rotated around at the corners like this Now place two stairs in each corner And blocks connecting them Followed by blocks in the corner And stairs you’ll notice as we are going up this roof that we’ve started with a really low slant going to a regular block a stair slant and now we’re going up to a higher and higher peak for the next layer of the roof place your blocks in a square like this Leaving out the corners and stairs on top of each of these blocks Now place a square of blocks And build too high like this creating a small circle place a stair on top of each and build up three high to finish off the roof with your blocks oh and don’t forget android on the top for a really pointy peak on the tower i’m just adding some leaves to the build Draping them down the side which really gives it a whimsical feel i’ll also place some vines which will give the build an overgrown look over time in addition to this i’ve used polished andesite for the floor although you can use whatever you’d like and i’ve created a tall spiraling staircase up the tower To reach the top so there we have a beautiful fantasy tower if you’d like to see some ideas on how to decorate fantasy builds like this one comment down below don’t forget to subscribe
