Minecraft Fantasy Amethyst Tower | Fairy / Wizard Tower Build Tutorial

Hello wonderful people it’s wild here today I’ll be showing you how to build this magical amethyst Tower this magical build is surprisingly simple to create and with tons of fairy tale Flair it’s sure to be a showstopper in your world so let’s get creating The materials you’ll need for this Builder and your screen now keep in mind that you can always substitute materials if you don’t have them so leave a comment down below if you’d like some substitution ideas here’s the outline for today’s build you can see it’s a circle with an interior

Diameter of nine blocks the door is located at the front for our build we’ll need to begin with some stone bricks and I’m creating a doorway here and also use some stone brick stairs you’ll also need some amethyst and some purple stained glass for this part of the build I’ve got an

Amethyst above my doorway and then we can start working around the circle the rest of the sides will be all the same I find for Tower shaped builds it’s helpful to work in these circular shapes Here where we’ve got the door I’ll just come up to create the shape like this but not bother putting in these last two blocks So it should look like that for this next step I’ve come inside the build and I’m going to place some upside down stairs facing towards the center of the build in these little gaps as well as behind this amethyst here I’ll then Place some purple stained glass on top of each of these

On the three main wall sides I’m gonna build up and around each of the windows with a block on top and then on the front side I’ll start by clicking on this stair here and then coming up too high and then placing my block directly over the window

So it should be evenly spaced all the way around and all of the windows should end at the same height now to fill in each of these corners I’ll come up to in and up two on either side and then I’ll connect the diagonal across here if you’re building this in survival it

Might be helpful to have some placeholder blocks like dirt to use when placing in these diagonal blocks but you can see here in Creative I just find it easier to use the same block that I’m building with Here’s how it should look from above it’s more of a diamond shape now but we’ll start rounding off the shape as we work up the sides of our Tower for this next section of the bill we’ll be fading from the stone brick base into some Stone I’m going to start by

Building these pointy shapes that are slightly off center so you can see I’m starting on this left block here building up too high and then coming one to either side and when I come one across the front you can see I’m a block behind and this is going to help round

Off the shape of our Tower just like that now on the front side of our build we’re going to build up two blocks here with stone and then one to the side leaving this Gap here for the doorway on the other sides however we can fill in this whole section with stone You can see this is looking more circular now to complete our fade I’m just going to place one block on the opposite side of these three wide sections from where the stone brick is currently showing like that on the front side I’ll then come up and

Create a door frame with a block of amethyst above the door like that On these sides where we’re going to be having some windows are build up too high this is for our window and then come up one Higher with a block of amethyst foreign I’ll come across the top of this doorway section here and then I want to add some

Corner windows so I’ll build up too high and place in a purple stained glass while I’m inside the build I’m going to be using some warped trapdoors for these windows so instead of glass we’ve got the trapdoor filling in this space and you can see I’m placing these blocks by holding shift

So I can place it on top of here if you’re having trouble with holding shift you can always Place one on the bottom and one on the top and then flip them now it’s time to start swooping back out for our Tower I’m gonna start by building three across these diagonal blocks here And then for the block over the amethyst I’ll come one more out once again this is creating a diamond shape which will round off as we continue building like this I’ll build three across the top of each of these one block sections and then I’ll connect them with some diagonal blocks So you can see it should have this kind of circular shape I’ll then build one up and one out on each of the three wide sections foreign And then I’m going to create a little pointy shape like this on all of these diagonals For our final layer of this part of the tower I’ll build three across here And then to fill in the rest I’ll just build two and two Let’s have a look at how our Tower looks from the front the actual curve of the tower should be the same as you go around now before we add on the roof of this Tower I’m going to come inside and start adding in my floor for the lowest level I’m using some

Polished and aside and regular on the side to create a checkered pen the this is going to add some extra interest to this level of the build Now I find it easiest to go in with all of one block and then switch to my other Checker block rather than switching between the two and I’m breaking and placing as I go but you could break the whole floor and fill it in Almost there and there we go that looks marvelous I’m also going to choose where I want my twisting Vine I want it to come up here so that’s on this and a side block and I’ll build this up the height of my tower Now this is what I’m going to use to access my other floors if you don’t have twisting binds you can hang some regular Vines from the roof or use a ladder for the next layer I’m going to be using some polished andesite slabs so I’m placing these that they’re level with

The doorway and just filling in the shape of the Tower I’ll then come underneath and place one in the center to hang a lantern from and I’m using Soul lanterns here for their color as well as above each of the doors like that going up to our next layer I want to place these one below the top here and fill in my slabs

And then I think I’ll Place one on top of each of these amethyst blocks just like that now we can head outside of our build and place in our doorways onto the roof for the roof you’ll be needing lots of blocks of amethyst as well as some direct walls stairs and slabs

I’m going to start my roof by building a circle around the outside edge of the top of the tower like this foreign We’ll be working up in layers here this roof might seem a bit complicated but I’m sure if you take your time it’ll end up being way easier than you expect All right so we’ve got a nice large Circle to begin with and we’re just going to start working our way up the next layer we’re going to come in and follow the shape of the wall foreign like this Then we’ll come in another layer and I’m going to start by placing in all these three wide sections and then fill in the corners with a little corner shape like this I find it helpful sometimes with these circular builds to think of it as having flat faces these three wide sections and

Then Corners that we need to fill in as well I’ll start on the next layer by placing one block in each of the flat faces and then coming two in from either side of these diagonal sections Let’s take a step back here’s how it should look from the front and from above all right for the next layer I’ll build three across each of the flat faces and then one on top of these and then I’m going to fill in the corners just like this Then I’m going to build three across the flat flat faces again like this and I’m building up too high this time one in the center and then I’m going to create these little U shapes over the top like that two in the center and we’re almost at the top of the tower now

And then three going up in the very center so the amethyst should look like this and now we’re going to highlight the swooping shape of this roof using some of our diorite in the center of each of the flat faces I’m going to put in a diorite stair And then I’ll just follow around the outline with some diorite slabs Then I’m going to switch to some direct walls and go straight up the side of the Tower and I’ll do this on all of the sides foreign Then in the very center at the top of the tower I’ll build up three more with my walls There we go we’re ready to start adding in some details now I’m going to start by adding some details to the edge underneath the roof starting with some Spruce spirally looking things so I’m placing an upside down stair underneath the diorite stair in the center then one facing towards the tower

Underneath that I’ll place a spruce vent another upside down stair and a right way up one like that and then I’ll place a right way up one facing forward and you can see this creates a little spiral shape and I’ll do this on all four sides Foreign like that now we’re going to add some details in between I’ll Place three direct walls and two Spruce fences on each of these sides And then I’m going to go in with some buttons and I’m just placing them on these blocks here going all the way around the build if you’d like to build alongside me and play on an awesome multi-world server with a great bunch of people make sure you check out my patreon

I’d really love the support and I’d love to Minecraft with you alright this is already looking fantastic now I need to add some details to the windows we’re going to add a little balcony here around the doorway for this I’ll be using some polished direct slabs and I’m

Just building out two from the wall so that I’m level with this walkway for the door then to add in a railing I’m using direct wools as well as some Spruce fence gates and I’m going to put an end rod on top of each of the walls

It adds such a wonderful magical glow create a frame over the top of the door using some spruce and now I can move on to my windows on all these Corner Windows I’m going to be using some warped trapdoors foreign Like that then on all of these windows on the flat faces of the walls I’m creating little arches using some spruce I’m also going to place some Spruce at the bottom of these windows with a coarse dirt in between And then I’ll frame this corset with some spruce trapdoors I’ll add in some more Androids if you don’t have endres you could easily substitute these for chains or iron bars Just like that here’s how our Windows should be looking now we’ll move down to this lower section of the build I’m going to start by adding some decorations Above This doorway and for this I’ll be using some diorite I’ve got a slab some stairs and some walls

And this is helping to distribute the direct throughout the build so it all flows and feels as one then for each of these windows I’m going to be using an end rod and a diorite slab above it and on either side I’ll also go in with a warped trapdoor

Again tying the whole Build Together as we’ve got warped trapdoors higher up on the build Foreign there we go now I want to add in some planters I’m going to be adding three to each of the corners to build and I want to place these at different heights going up the side like this I like to take a step back and have a look at where my Planters are so I think maybe this one should be one higher up like that yes I like that it’s important to look at the build from all the different angles you’ll be viewing it from Perfect and on all of the visible sides I’ll be going in with a spruce trapdoor now if your Planters are in different locations to mine that’s totally fine just come up with a look that you’re happy with and aim for three Planters on each side thank you

We have some more very important details to add to this Tower including some lighting and some Greenery I’m going to start with the lighting I’m going to hang one lantern from each of these curvy bits here with the spruce and then I’m also going to hang some

Lanterns down from the tops of these curvy sections and I think for a Whimsical build like this it’s nice to hang your lanterns at different heights so some of these all hang two blocks down some I’ll hang one block down and some I’ll hang three blocks down I’m gonna add some more lanterns hanging from each of these Spruce sections here and once again I’ll change up the heights of my lanterns as I go around I think I’ll hang this one three blocks down and two blocks down for this one Another three blocks down here and one block here I’m almost all the way around my with my lanterns now there we go I’m just gonna add a wonderful twinkly glow to this build I’m also going to place a lantern on top of this block here and now I’m going to switch over to some leaves

Now I’m going to have a couple different places for my leaves I’m going to put some around to the bottom of my build and I’m using flowering Azalea and regular azalea leaves here and I just want to create some little natural looking shrubs like this

Is up to you how many or how little leaves you add but The Greener really really does add something special to this build and it brings the whole thing to life foreign to my pot plants I’m going to stick in the pink white and blue color tone that

We’ve got going on here but you could use whatever flowers you like the best Almost finish with my shrubs perfect I’m also going to add some leaves to the top of this build draping them down from the roof and I’m going to go in with some glowberries let’s start with the blueberries foreign on the diorite edge of this build it’s up to you how many you add

But I like quite a few The Greenery is really nice This is such a lush feeling build and the globers are another source of Illumination and with such twinkling roofs like we have here with the amethyst the light is really important foreign Now under the roof Leaf draping the trick to this is to use curving shapes and diagonals to create a natural look now you could might find it easier to go in with one kind of leaf to begin with and then switch out some of your leaves

And when you’re doing it you can also place in some of the leaves and have them draping over the edge like this Foreign Just a few to each of the sides of the build I’m just placing in my last few flowers now and then we can have a look all my flowers I’m using a mixture of alliums lily of the valley pink tulips some Azure bluets I’m bringing in a hint

Of the blue with these blue orchids and then some more white tulips and I’ve also got some azalea bushes dotted in some of my pot plants as we step back here you can see how I’ve draped the leaves down the roof and I’ve placed some in larger groups like

We’ve got on this side and then I’ve got some smaller groups as well if you’re building this in Creative a great way to stop your hanging glowberries from growing too far is to use these barrier blocks which you can’t see unless you’re holding them but if you’re in survival another great option
