Minecraft, Final Fantasy, Terraria COMBO! Awesome New Indie Game – Realms of Magic

What’s up everybody it’s your old papa cheddar here and we’re gonna be playing a little bit of realms of magic so i just saw this game on another cat’s youtube channel a pixelated apollo super good cat uh one guy actually watch all the dang time

And i just had to try it and i’ve been playing it for a few days now and i absolutely love it and i want to share with you cool cats so uh what you just saw was a little bit of the video from uh from steam from the steam page there

Now i’m not gonna do the uh the jump into a new game and this and that and everything i want to show you guys some more of the meat of it all so the beginning of the game uh you know it’s not boring but it’s more you know dialogue with npcs stuff like

That so uh i want to show you cats more of like i said the meat the beef the chicken stew you know what i’m saying the cheesy breadcrumbs or whatever like that oh shoot you know i think i’m hungry i haven’t actually had dinner yet i might

Want to go and do that right now you know but no we’re going to make this video so i kind of equate this game to a combination between like minecraft final fantasy and terraria so it does have the side scroll ability like terraria does a little bit of the

Same art style but you place the blocks and you have buildable things such as minecraft then you got the rpg aspect of it and a ton of different races you can play there’s your final fantasy and some cats they call it the roguelite uh game which you know i’ll be honest

With you i don’t honestly know what roguelite means i i i think it uh means like you know things are random or something i’m not too sure but uh either way it’s fun so i’m gonna jump in and show you cats my uh my dwarven warrior

Oh look at him there pop it shed yep that’s right level 11 dwarf and look at that beard oh would you look at it it’s glorious all right so here we are in a bit of a a little village area and you can see my beautiful dwarf puppet shed right there so you

Have all your your usual stuff you got a bunch of talents you got like uh what is this like heavy weapons light weapons your defense fire frost nature which is what i chose and necromancy which i really wanted to try but i ended up going nature because i

Mean look i can summon mole rats they’re actually trash they’re horrible the regular summoned rat is actually better i think i don’t know but either way i got mole rats so what’s up with that and then you have all these different professions and such as well which you can see i’ve been leveling

Them up oh yes i’m a master smelter and uh expert miner oh yo papa john i mean i’m a dwarf you know i got to be good at those type of things which every every race does come with its own set of boons you could say your own little buffs and

Of course you have grand inventories here look at that old puppy chad’s been making the money honey oh goodness yeah but i’m gonna go ahead jump to my house deposit something show you a little bit of the building and then we’ll go do a little quest

Action so you can see here the map every one of these squares is a different place like this city here so right now i am up in this square and then all these random wild ones i got another city here starter city but this little star oh that’s your paw patrol’s home base

Boom let’s travel oh yeah here we go baby you can see papa cheta here i got all my stuff i got storage boxes i got crafting stations i got a basement and uh i just had to i had some chickens i terraformed the heck out of this

I got underground chickens i i watched a lot of neebs gaming and uh this one cat simon he had chickens underground and i just thought it was a perfect opportunity to close these chickens in and have some underground chickens now up here this right here is the

Chicken coop i could not build it underground unfortunately uh but you know and i haven’t gotten the chicken feed to actually move them up to their their new base oh you know we’re we’re working on that but uh yeah we got smeltine you know or this is smelting we got blacksmithing

Leather working uh linen making cloth tailoring whatever the heck like that and i built this all from scratch oh yeah it’s great uh so here’s my my my rabbits i got my chickens obviously i haven’t put them in there and then i got a three-tiered farm

Oh yeah look at that i got all these plants for days oh goodness yeah that’s about as far as i’ve expanded oh and of course you know i have a mine oh goodness yeah i’ve explored a good chunk of underground but i swear the underground

In this game just goes and goes and goes so okay let me finish clear my inventory and we’ll get on to a jaunty little quest all right there we go nice clear inventory so i want to go and check out uh i haven’t been to this spot yet so we

Got the tainted oh wait that’s inaccessible nevermind i knew that we have the dread halls the second uh second runner-up joined looks like there’s a little quest location here and every area has secrets well all these main areas anyway and uh powerful enemies is in this one

So hopefully we’ll get to see a little boss battle oh here we go let me get my weapon out just shot look at that i got a uh what is it a battle axe yeah battle axe because i’m a dwarf you know obviously i need a battle axe so a lot of

Uh of this when you’re in these these dungeon type areas it’s uh kind of like a platformer as well oh and one really cool thing this right here is like a multi-tool so it has a let me see it has a hammer a hatchet a pickaxe and a shovel all in one

So instead of having to swap over to a bunch of different oh god oh god cool ah come on um yeah instead of having to swap all over god’s creation like different tools and stuff you just have one and it’s super intuitive i absolutely love it

I wish more games would do that what do we got here looks like we got a little chest action okay see there’s one of the secrets we just found and um i think those gauntlets are a heck of a lot better than mine so we’re going to

Go ahead and just swap rooney them over oh yeah i love upgrades i’m getting all this cool stinking armor and stuff i absolutely love it i like i said i’ve been hooked on this game for a hot minute now um so let’s see is that i think that’s everything yep and here so

On down we going we just fought a ghoul that was the first time i saw one oh god this looks like a point of no return so i’m going to go ahead and cast myself a little armor spell oh whoa someone’s ah oh god infernal cobalt ha come here you son of a

He’s throwing stuff at me come here but i am a dwarf with great armor what is that gold ore oh heck yeah what the heck is that looks like a light on fire drop it or chuck it or something okay but these guys down here let me see

If i can summon my mole rat shang get a mole rat look at that naked little rat that’s so gross shishing eat more rats baby are they not okay there you go now they’re fighting more mole rats i’m just i’m gonna summon an army of mole rats see i got a wolf too

Wolf get him i’ve been trying to upgrade and power up my uh my summons but you know what nothing replaces a good old stinking battle axe yeah god these guys are tough normally i like one hit kill everything with these uh with this battle axe but no

Not today although those mole rats and wolf put in some good work for me so i can’t complain too much as ice attack from the oh look at that one hit kill attack from the what was i gonna say ramp parts what’s up it’s you and me mr one hit kill

And he drops cute little kobold daggers yeah yeah shoots oh dang he almost got me uh you can be like more mana focused especially in the the choices of armor that you make or that you choose uh you know yeah choices that you make whatever it makes sense uh don’t question it what

Do we got another secret with some boots running speed jogging speed oh yeah look at these these boots these boots right here baby these are some good boots and look at that they’re like fluorescent green i love it for dan actually that’s the same plate uh

Late stuff that i have and a silver bar oh look at all that silver money right there though schwing baby okay so got to be careful doing this now i’m going to do another smell of protection oh yeah come on oh come on so uh there’s sometimes there’s like

Little fire traps and stuff that you got to uh jump past so it makes it a super cool little platforming thing look at this these guys ain’t doing no damage to me but i gotta watch my stamina that’s one thing i’m really bad at is watching my stamina

I mean there are talents that can help you uh reduce oh sick yeah powerful essence i can use this in uh along with i think it’s like a magical essence it’s that but blue and that makes uh gives me an extra talent point so really stinking good

Stuff i thought normally only uh like bosses dropped those but apparently not ah okay come on you undead kobold which is oh it’s infernal ah come on ah no i gotta get better with the mouse too how i’m facing ah there we go that’s a lot of damage

I bury that body get it out of the way all right let’s see now onward into the the layer we go chain ooh potions what’s that stone skin elixir nice oh god okay up we go ah shasha and kind of dodge around obviously as you can see

But uh jumping does take stamina so of course you gotta be uh conservative yeah conservative with it shing what do we got up here nothing is that no secrets okay looks like we’re pressing on oh whoa come on i take it from the top ropes yeah that jumping slice dude

God i love my dwarf although i almost went uh to be a gnome hey a chest what’s this bronze pickaxe oh i have that and oh those aren’t good at all um i was almost a gnome because it was like the description was really sad for gnomes can i dig through this

Cannot okay um yeah like just just go read the description if you guys get this game go read the description for gnomes and you’ll be like oh oh my god it said uh basically they were like used to being enslaved or something like that it was just really really sad and depressing

What uh i think i can dig this there we go okay we got another secret chest i’m digging all over the place autosave yeah the auto save is a really handy feature too on this although it does like pause your game momentarily which is not that good of a thing i

Three percent don’t mind if i do ooh and iron ore oh yeah baby okay um shoot is this actually i might have beaten oh i did beat the powerful enemy so that’s where i got that uh this from ah okay so i’m done here is that right i think i’m

Pretty sure i just beat this place so not too hard but i mean i i did spend a good amount of time crafting and uh you know going around getting really good gears and stuff um so you know i don’t want to say i’m a little overpowered

But you’re all pops a little overpowered uh victory drink from the spring baby oh yeah and yeah son of a gun okay that was we’re done here ah neat well that was quick and stinking easy very nice oh we might as well press on let’s do another one let’s go to the feud

Actually no no i’m gonna show you i haven’t been to these forest areas yet so this is just a random little block that we’re gonna go to and uh you can collect like the chicken sheep pigs rabbits and uh if you bring the correct feed here

You can kind of uh let me pull my weapon out just shang bring them back with you and look at this i can just chop out the tree here with the same multi-tool i can dig oh it’s great pick up this what is that wheat nice um is this does that say oak

Wood on carrots here that is oak wood nice i need a little more oak wood for my pad as you can make these like these oak oak roof slats or shingles or whatever that look really stinking cool better than the i think the pine better than the pine and there’s probably going

To be some enemies here that i have not actually met yet ching chang was that miracle oh god what is that oh no grab the holy hand grenade of antioch quick cha sha ah yeah ah take that undead bunny this is good i need all these undead pelts

Where i’m at my leather working at uh yeah i need undead hide it’s really gross um but you know i could actually like dig down wherever i want right here too but i do want to see a little bit more of the up above ground then we’ll go diving down a little ooh

Carrots oh god what are those ah oh skeleton fighters ha ha take that you swine or skeletons aha look at that my health didn’t like drop at all god i’m such a bamf bamf you know what a banff is well uh just look it up i don’t i don’t want to say it

Animal husbandry nice i needed that and take all take all take all and then i’m just gonna bury these bodies to make sure i looted them yep schwing baby and what’s this i think there’s more iron oh yes oh i can finally start making some super pimp gear some sweet swiggity swag baby

I mean not that i mean look at the look at me look at those boots oh that’s already super swag tara kite see this i haven’t actually opened up this part of the map yet okay so you guys are seeing it all seeing it all before i even saw it yep

Okay we gotta dig deeper deeper what’s that no nothing okay deeper we go and prepare for war nope okay swapping flawlessly between shoveling pickaxe let’s go stink and kill these rats i need oh wait there’s something here oh that’s coal yeah i could use some coal

Train swing train and even like if you want to just go out and collect a bunch of materials like i went out and just hit up like uh oh i don’t know five or oh i don’t say five or six different little map sections god all right those guys they do some damage

I’m gonna need to make that iron gear soon um i was saying oh yeah i went down and collected like a bunch of uh different oh god what i want to say um like resource gathering you know yeah it’s it’s really chill and relaxing just come out here

Just mine like this and uh yeah get resources look at that oh oh baby look at all this iron oh yeah yeah shoot if i’m trapped underground here i think i said this already i don’t remember uh if i’m trapped on the ground here i

Can just pop up the map and be like okay i’m leaving now and oh wait no i can’t oh enemies nearby okay so if i slew these fools which i’m about to i’m bouts to baby and uh you know what we’re gonna do this all with uh

Mo rats careful i don’t wanna fall off get em mo rats yeah let’s throw a wolf in there i’m gonna do a magic potion too so i can just keep spamming these guys small rats mo rats look at those little naked nasty creatures let’s get another wolf in there

Oh yeah now those guys are tearing up my horde let’s do another magic potion bling since i started doing alchemy i have endless amounts of potions oh yeah get them more rats get them out it’s going to take so many more ass let’s do another magic potion more mo rats yes yes

Oh beautiful you know what hang on i’m going to try regular rats too boo wasn’t even on my hot bar and bloom magic potion get them rats see if they fare a little better i don’t know it’s really hard to tell i honestly don’t think any of them were doing very good um

Yeah that’s why i should have gotten necromancy i don’t know if there’s a way you can reset your talent points yet though i haven’t found it if there is one um but you know what okay let’s just let’s just get in there hang on i’m gonna do a stone skin

Ghoul right there um so you know what to do more rats actually regular rats rats get them rats get down there why are you guys not getting down there more rats maybe come on wow you guys are screwing screw in your old pop here okay hang on i’m gonna be a little

Let’s uh let’s get in here so it’s really simple crafting you know obviously so we got the iron ore that we found earlier a bunch of coal so i’m gonna make all of it it looks like we get two per every single one then bam we just hit uh hit go and look

At that we start flying and shows you how long the crafting takes how much experience it gives you the value is a little weird it doesn’t actually really equate to anything that i found like it could say you know three silver 75 copper and then sell to the merchant for like

One silver so i don’t quite understand what uh what’s up with that just yet but you know the game is still technically in early access but i will say it sure does not feel like an early access oh oh i need more coal um it does not feel

Good thing i have a ton uh sorry doesn’t feel like a uh early access game um it actually feels very polished only two gold bars uh whatever uh i mean i don’t know what more they’re planning on adding or anything i haven’t actually looked into all of

That but uh as far as i’m concerned it’s it’s more polished than some games that they actually say are released and they release it cyberpunk excuse me gotta i got something stuck in my throat there um oh yeah shoot i’m excited to see the end game of this

And uh yeah i don’t know i recommend it you know i think it’s like 20 bucks or something usd on the steam right meow uh you know honestly i’d say worth it 100 ooh steel oh i’m just gonna make one bing look at that i can make mithril cobalt thorium

There’s still a long stinking way for me to go here i like clay clay roof you can customize that so just like terraria there’s a ton of different ways see i just got a crappy little pine roof a ton of different ways you can kind of uh

You know customize your house build it you can put blocks in the background like these ones here those like a right click puts it behind and a left click puts it up front so you can just kind of you know adapt it to make it look cooler although i got to

Say this dirt right here no matter what let me let me show oh oh whoa hit the wrong key there so um even if i were to right click on it right there it will not cover up the uh the dirt you know i’m saying but if i come out
