Minecraft Hardcore Let’s Play : Scary Nether Fortress and Potion Brewery!

Hey folks whip here and welcome back to the hardcore minecraft world where today we’re going to be diving right into the action as i want to jump into the nether and see if we can’t find another fortress today but first p please be sure to click that like button

Down below on the video there is one thing however i wanted to tackle before we jump into the nether and that is the edge of the river right over here we’ve also got to stay out of the sheet pen buddy i don’t really want you in there girl

Uh right over here is i have this entire edge that we’ve really done nothing with and i wanted to tweak it and fix it up here real fast so we could get something super nice looking and unfortunately i’m down to just five string we’re gonna have to solve that here pretty soon

Today as i mentioned i would love to get into the nether because i think it’s finally time that we can get some potion brewing rocking so we can start doing some villager conversion over at the city which would be super helpful to get those set up

And also it might be nice to make some progress towards getting to the end dimension because that could be pretty nice to have an electro right and i am so in love with this base that we’ve been creating this whole windmill setup that we built last episode

Is absolutely awesome and i had an idea again one more thing before we get into another because we got to plant another field is i wanted to come up here and add another carrot field we only have the one so far then we’re really lacking in the carrot

Department when it comes to the villager trading so we gotta get that set up first things first is we’ve got fortune two on the axe over here and let’s use that to actually harvest up all this and see if we can get some bonus carrots i don’t

Know if it works but we’ll see uh puppy can you not be in the carrot field when i’m swinging an axe around trying to harvest carrots it’s a weird thing to do i know but i just need you to not be in front of me holy cow i really think that fortune

Worked that is a carrots i was like why can’t i pick these up is the game lagging no my uh my inventory’s full that’s what everything is completely replanted and novo loves running through the fields of carrots over there and check that out we got so many extra carrots on this

Planting the field is gonna be a piece of cake carrot cake i feel really bad for doing this but i can just keep taunting the pigs they are gonna be very upset that a whole field of carrots is planted right over the line last time everybody yelled at me for not

Using the water bucket to clear out the fields so don’t worry everybody i’m using the water bucket to clear out the fields this time only the og minecrafters are going to remember this actually giving advancement oh sad days sad days maybe one time we can get serious dedication again

And of course gotta pull out some more diamonds and make a brand new diamond hoe for ourselves much better great usage of diamonds i swear there we go we have the entire carrot field planted in up here and it is looking so cool in front of this thing i

Forgot to mention i actually added in a few more trees around this area in between episodes as well because i thought we needed a few more trees slowly this planes bomb will turn into a forest and ooh looks like this stuff’s all ready to be gathered here too

Time to harvest and replant the beetroot as well i’m forever only harvesting things with fortune at this point check how many seeds we got holy cow i think we can finish the field down here too double field action today it’s amazing now don’t get me wrong beetroot is not

My favorite thing of the game but dang does it add to the aesthetics of this entire area we’re trying to build out here i don’t know why those keep filling in i feel like water sources can get to them from somewhere no maybe not even with a few beetroot seeds to spare

Check that out that should be a good little spot for us we could expand it further up this way if we want to but i’m okay with that being a little bit of a smaller one up in the firewatch tower and we just talk about how amazing this spot is looking over here

You know what i gotta do it i gotta do it shaders let’s rock so worth so worth it holy cow this area is looking magical oh my gosh we got to start adding some more buildings around here because right now there’s only one house and all of these fields so we have to

Find some place to add some farm houses or farm hand houses out here somewhere maybe a project for next episode we’ve got a heck of a lot of carrots and potatoes over here that we’re gonna be trading with our villagers later in today’s episode but first and foremost

We’ve gotta dive into the nether and then we get to earn the treats of doing all of the fun villager trading the goal today is to get as many blaze rods as we possibly can and craft a new shield here just because that one’s a little worse for wear

But it should hopefully be a fairly easy nether trip and come out with some good loot as well crafted up a brand new shield for ourselves we got our bow we’ve got some arrows we’ve got some torches and we’ve got a lot of steak at this point i’m probably gonna need that and

Nether where we’ve got a new bastion right over there in front of us we’ve got another one hanging out up here on the cliff with us but we’re gonna just leave both of them alone for today because they’re at the far end of this valley

We should in just a moment start to see a little bit of another fortress action so we’ve got to figure out a way to get all the way over there trying to skirt along the edge of the biome so we don’t get too far into either of them because i don’t want to

Deal with the magma cubes or with the piggy boys who seem to be staying over there there is a lot of courts in these areas and unfortunately i have the silk touch pickaxe on me so we’ll have to come back over and get that stuff

Later but i think what i’m gonna do for now is see if we can’t just get ourselves a little bit of a cliffside pathway along the lava lake not in the lava okay this definitely was not the best idea we are just on a giant piece of rock

Floating in the sky so going backwards there we go now we’re making some real progress getting all the way over here oh that’s gonna be a lot easier to get back and forth and of course we’ve got the guest and i can’t one shot a guest yet okay

Well i have to keep that in mind hi please be my friend i don’t i don’t want to do this you don’t want to do this why we gotta do this trying to leave a very very faint line of torches to get ourselves all the way back and this nether fortress over here

Is gonna be insanely deadly since it’s in the middle of the basalt delta oh that’s not gonna be fun that’s not gonna be fun at all to deal with oh lava right there we’ve reached another edge over here i think at this point i’m just gonna dig a

Hole going directly this way and hope that we run into the nether fortress it’ll probably be safer and less safe much less safe oh we’ve hit it oh my gosh the tunnel actually worked we’re here we’ve done it we’re in another fortress everybody oh terrible for just terrible terrible day terrible terrible

And our first wither skeleton let’s get rid of him and no skull bummer an unenchanted diamond sword emily come on give me a school and now we’ve just got to do some explorings in the nether fortress i would love to find some netherwart some soul sand

And take that stuff back with us i guess whole sand we have in front of the nether portal so i don’t really need that too much i’m hearing lots of blazes though there’s a lot of everything down here let’s get rid of as much as we can i’m playing this super safe today

This is why an infinity bow is the most important thing ever for me first blaze rod acquired skeleton taken out so the goal at minimum is we need 12 blaze rods i believe because then we’ll be able to get some for brewing and we’ll be able to get a lot if we

Need them for being able to craft eyes of ender to get to the end and i’m on fire that really sucks these blazes are just chilling over here oh and we’re on fire again okay we’re just gonna run right we have fire protection okay i shouldn’t have to be that scared about this

Nothing is able to spawn anywhere outside of this since we’re in a basalt delta the only things out there are magma cubes so this is actually going to be great if we want to like make a farm here oh it would be so good oh there’s a lot

Of everything there’s a lot of everything in there running away for now oh no magma q police not from up above the last thing i need right now and the last one right over here get down and no no fire the fact that blaze rods can burn in fire

When these things are literally made of fire and can shoot fire always perplexes me but it’s fine we are definitely coming back to this nether fortress when we’re trying to actually get wither skeleton skulls because holy cow they’re everywhere looks like we’ve got a way inside the

Actual fortress now which could be good for getting some loot over here not to those fireballs for sure and taking him out nice okay okay maybe we can find some chests i see one at the end of the hallway what have we got in here we’ve

Got iron in a saddle i will take saddle i like that taking the chest with those two see look what i mean though two wither skeletons have already spawned right behind the area where i just come through those things are everywhere in here hi buddy that lava right there kind of

Scares me a little bit let’s get rid of that oh even more hi okay you all just stay at the end of the hallway i’ll stay here you’ll oh no someone’s come behind me i will say though i think the wither skeleton scared me the most out of any

Of these things ooh a diamond and flint and steel i love that is there any way to stop the withering effect from doing damage like are there any potions or anything you can use to like stop that or at least slow it i don’t think so i see some netherward

Over there though what do we got gold horse armor or diamond horse armor gold blah blah blah words there we go we’ve got our first bits of another word over here there are so many loot chests around here more iron more saddles oh boy and three more diamonds ooh i don’t

Really want those gold swords though we’ll leave those behind there are so many layers to this nether fortress oh my gosh i went down like four different staircases at this point in time i think we might be at two fortresses that are overlapping i just walked outside and there’s this big old

Monolith of nether brick over there too holy cow this seed that we have on this world is insane the only thing i haven’t managed to find so far inside this nether fortress has actually been a blaze spawner that’s the only thing that we’re missing at this point but it hasn’t slowed us

Down at all quite yet wow this is actually really beautiful right down here basalt deltas are so fun it’s a bummer that magma cubes are so dangerous but again i don’t think we need a spawner turning around the corner right over here and we’ve got two more blazes and ooh dodging the fireballs

Oh my gosh is that four wither skeletons five i just killed one two wait there’s so many down here all right that’s it project for this series is we’re turning this into a wither skeleton farm nova and coda are going to work they’re going to be our wither skeleton farming wolves

Well i guess we got to find koda first but you know that’s the end goal back out into the fray now we just need a few more of these blaze rods and oh i think one’s above me yep yep he is oh some he fouled me he

Found me he found me he found me he found me he found me they’re sneaky little buggers okay got rid of him back to the blaze as we go that brings us up to 11 right there perfect okay we’re really making a lot of progress i feel like we turned this area

Right out here into a weather skeleton farm oh that’s gonna be so good fire does not think jeremy you can tell i’m getting a lot more brave the longer i’m sitting out here i’m out here hoping that these guys are gonna drop wither skeleton skulls for me but i’m like nah

I don’t even have a looting i don’t really want to sit out you’re trying we’re not going to fight a weather anytime soon anyways oh geez where’d you come from okay bye bye bye bye bye bye i hate being withered with with a withering effect literally scares

Me more than anything in this game even more so than creepers not next to the zombie piggies please just follow me all the way over here and let’s get rid of you that’s great okay every single time i get withered that’s one stake just standing out in this

Corner for a second and look at everything that has spawned over here this is insane i just need one more blaze rod and i cannot get these guys to stop floating over the fiery void oh hey that worked we’ve managed to go from level eight all

The way up to 21 at this point so i think that’s a good point to bid a due to the nether fortress over here because look at all of the skeletons they’re everywhere i’m almost thinking this could be our first experience farm if we just slab everything throughout this entire point

Which we have enough cobblestone slabs to do we could create a really easy wither skeleton farm over there i think to make it more specific for just wither skeletons we do need wither roses but it’s something i’ll look into a little bit if you have any ideas let me know

But i’m happy to be calling that it with the wither skeleton fighting and everything like that in the nether fortress holy cow that’s a big magma cube we were able to get a lot of stuff in there today so that is really good for us making it home many diamonds and

Blaze rods richer over here and ooh it is night time that’s not what we like to see let’s run inside real fast and make sure it’s still safe over here i’ve added so many trees and things around the area i don’t think our little compound in here is safe for mobs

Anymore so we’ve got to be careful on that well it doesn’t help that i left the gate open before going into the nether so that could have been pretty bad but up here what do we got anything around us looks like we are a-okay after that no there’s a

Chicken zombie no no just a chicken next to a zombie okay not not a bad thing not a bad scary baby another diamond shovel bites the dust we’ve got three almost broken ones in there and ooh i forgot we got a quick charge crossbow at the end of that

Little another adventure there too and i do not want that stone sword but we got so much stuff first thing we gotta do is we’ve gotta plant down yep another field i know it’s the big day of fields today of we’re adding in a small field for the netherwort i’m

Thinking a good spot for the netherwart is gonna be all the way over here behind creeper rock because i know we’re gonna be using soul sand as the floor so it’s not gonna be the cleanest looking thing out here but i think it’s something we could terraform around and make look actually

Super duper cool but for now let’s just get everything down over in here and as we grow more netherrack and more soul sand we’ll just replace the hill going up to the back edge of creeper rock so you kind of have the little bit of the red glow of the netherwork coming across

The top of it i think that could be super sweet adding a teeny tiny little border around that guy that should be pretty much everything we need i filled up on carrots and potatoes and it it’s time to jump over to the mooshroom island do a little bit of villager trading

Down in the villager cave now we’ve got a little bit of trading we can do with these guys i want to start with this dude over here to see how much we can unlock him because we can’t trade potatoes to him whereas we could trade potatoes to

Everybody else but let’s let him unlock a few things there whoo this guy already has a pumpkin tree that’s awesome oh that’s gonna be so good anybody over here not unlocked to the second layer you you you there we go everybody should have the second layer going nova really wants to

Trade with that one maybe she just really wants that apple oh we got pumpkins in here ooh more pumpkins more pumpkins even more pumpkins oh my gosh almost all of them trade pumpkins there’s only one that doesn’t oh that’s amazing all right pumpkin and melon farm that oh gosh

That bat terrified me get get out of here go haha nailed it got him nova i’m thinking here if we want to get the major emerald stunks we got to get the pumpkin and melon farm set up because these guys really seem to want to give us a lot of emeralds for pumpkins

Seem like a good idea up to 53 emeralds already though that is absolutely awesome do we have any more in here doesn’t look like it quite yet but what we can do is just throw a chest down here and this will be our emerald supply

For now and the extra stuff we can maybe trade i’ll tell you what here folks i think of what i want to do next since we got these guys set up down here i know the melon and pumpkin farm is going to be our biggest source of emeralds but i

Think we’re going to move towards getting some paper production because that means we can at least get librarians rocking for now something and we build the first sugar cane farm all the way up here and to do that we’ve got to clear out a lot of space for one and

Then two i’ve actually got to run over to the desert and find a bunch of sand to turn into some glass so we can have a nice looking front face so we’re working with a space that is 19 blocks long over here and i’ve realized i have an extra block

Of space down here if i want to use it for say some like water pathways or something like that and if we do that and throwing actually i need that filled ink so i’m gonna put glass there on this whole front row but then we’re gonna have sugar cane

Here pistons go here with observers on them and then we’re gonna have the red stony line back here so and then i have a little bit of wiggle room on the back if we want to add some more stuff in there but the very cool part is we have three

For the sugar cane then we have another row of land and we have one two and three for another set of sugar canes we make this thing too tall i’ve got a lot of blocks to gather though and i think i know where a desert

Is nearby us that we can use for a lot of sand as well now if i remember correctly we have an entire desert at the north end of this spruce forest there’s a savannah and then a desert right isn’t there a pillar drought house up

There maybe we get a raid farm here soon totem’s been dying would be kind of sweet while we’re traveling out here one thing’s kind of dawned on me recently for a while minecraft had turned into one of those games where i was playing it just when i was recording

This world however i keep finding myself doing things in between episodes and just working on things around the base and it has been so much fun so thank you all so very much i’m really glad to hear that y’all are enjoying this series so much

Pretty much as much as i am it sounds like i’m having way too much fun working on this hardcore world hopefully i don’t die off camera there we have it the luxurious sandy desert biome hey there’s even another portal we could potentially hook up but i’m gonna get like

Six stacks or so of sand i think that should be enough to fill in the entire wall full of glass back there back over the base here temporarily because holy cow i mind so much sand turned it all into lime stained glass gathered a bunch of glowstone in the

Nether crafted up a stack of observers a stack of headstones we got a stack of sugar cane we’ve got some hoppers we’ve got some chests and holy cow we have a lot of stuff going on and the last thing i actually need to grab in here

Is we’re gonna need a few fence gates and i thought a great fix for these over here would actually be to be using the acacia since we’re gonna go with that little bit of the red theme underground i thought it would work in pretty well i guess actually i

Do need four i think with all this junk in hand i’ve got everything we need to build up these farms hopefully gosh this is gonna be a log no no i need another water bucket i’ve got iron on me we’re fine well here goes nothing i really don’t know how

Effective this whole thing is going to be but it should be fun to build i was thinking at the bottom where we’re going to have the glass we can light it up using some glowstone all the way down here going across and then we’ll pile up the lime stained

Glass that we have going all the way along here as well and i’m really starting to think i did not bring enough i will say my plan was to hopefully be able to do both sides of this today but i don’t think we have enough glass to be able to make that happen

That is a okay for now though because what we gotta do down here is get a water line in and where the water ends is i’m gonna put a little bit of packed ice to keep the items flowing and this might mess up the farm just to touch

With the sugar cane that’ll be landing at that point but that’s a-okay for now and hopefully this guy makes it all the way he does not bummer okay oh that is a villager’s head hi oh no i just dropped my ice on him oh no that’s not good

Oh no for now the plan is going to be just sending items to right over here on the edge and it should be a-okay well i guess my worry won’t exist anyways because i was like oh this sugar hand will end up not just landing on the slab nope can’t put

Sugar cane there because there’s a water source so that’s totally fine but actually for symmetry’s sake i have to do it i have to put an extra water source on the back getting this last redstone line in the whole bottom layer should be finished up

At this point in time i hope that i placed all these in correctly and i think that’ll do it right there that is going to be absolutely awesome now above this guys where we can start adding in another layer i figured we could do a dividing point i’m

Hoping with including some of the acacia logs going all the way across here i’ll strip these down in a minute too after i get everything else sorted looks like a little bit of the packed ice will have to poke through on the edge but i think that’ll be okay it’ll

Be like a tiny bit of a blue highlight or something right it’ll be cool second layer is quickly flying along back here as well which is great this is actually coming together very very quickly and there we have it the last redstone line has been placed

In and let’s make sure this stuff is working all the way up here and bam that all fired crazy fast oh look at that right there and making sure something will drop inside of here and go all the way along it looks like it is so we’re gonna strip

All this no that’s not what i wanted to do not what i want to do at all i’m gonna strip this stuff down not get rid of the water source added that fence gate here at the end so the stuff will just drop all the way

Down and end up inside of the hopper these guys down here are they working yes looks like everything’s working there too it’s not perfectly lossless but you know it’s better than nothing now to be honest with you it doesn’t look half bad but i think what we could do

Is change those guys right out there being the slabs and turn them into some signs at least on the upper layer because that’ll be a little less obstructive but i really like that i think we do another one right over here too that’s gonna be super sweet looking

This here my friends is really starting to look like an intense minecraft base oh my gosh are these things not efficient at all yeah they kind of suck they really kind of suck but i think it’s gonna be a slow trickle thing going over while the entire time of building up

That one this one’s gonna be 16 sugarcane and actually i think i came and pinched a few to finish off that top row planet up there and these guys i just finished so nothing is in there quite yet there’s a little bit of loss on this farm and i

Don’t know if there’s ever a way to fix that without using mine cart with hoppers and i don’t really want to deal with minecart hoppers on this type of farm but i love this look right here we got the red and we got the green going up there with the lime stained

Glass oh my gosh it’s looking really really cool let me know what we should be added next in this area down here what should we stretch it off with i’m almost thinking more farmers over there and then we do a whole segment in here kind of themed after a library

Where we could throw all of our librarian villagers on and give them like multiple layers of areas to sit on going all the way upwards instead of just this bottom row could be kind of cool but we’ll see when we get there now that we’ve given the netherward a

Chance to grow up i figured it was time to actually set up a potion brewing area and i’m thinking the perfect spot is at the top of that enchanting tower so let’s head over to the netherwort farm and gather that stuff up okay maybe not all of it

Is grown but enough of it in here that we can at least harvest a few bits and take some with us right replanting the rest of the field and i only want a few bits for now we’re not going to be doing too much and funny enough the reason why

I wanted to get into potion brewing is so we can make potions of weakness we don’t need nether wart for that from what i understand it’s kind of a weird awkward space in here i’m not sure there’s too much we can do with it but

Up top we’ve at least got more or less a 5×5 area with a very very tall ceiling the first thing i wanted to do over here was get ourselves set up with some sort of a water source that we can draw things from and be able

To you know get some water out of while we’re working in this area we need to fill our water bottles after all so that’s gonna be absolutely awesome over there and then i’m thinking i brought these polished basalt bits with us and which i think are super cool to have like as a

Center table piece right over and there and then over on this side i’m thinking we can do some note blocks as if there’s some shelves and on top of the note blocks we can have our brewing stands and then right over here of course we can’t have a potion area without some

Netherward on it do i do have some spruce trap doors that is awesome and we can put another work growing on top of the spruce trap doors over here however i’m thinking we can almost give ourselves a secondary attic space uh kind of kind of kind of big emphasis

On the kind of so we can do something right up in there i brought these ladders with us have that actually reaching all the way up to this point and then we can use some more spruce trap doors and have it cover about half of the area maybe can’t leave the

Torches sitting on the ground so definitely need a lantern of sorts and i’m thinking a good spot for one can be what am i trying to find over here let’s use some spruce logs and just fill them in right over in here and we can do a lantern

Sitting right above it that should give enough light for this whole central area and i want to come back in with a few more details later and stripping those down but i’m not too sure on which details i want to throw in here i’m almost thinking we could go into the

Crimson forest and get some of those hanging vines from the nether could be kind of fun so i might just have to spend a little bit of time messing around with this area a bit more i seem to have gotten myself caught in a little bit of a pickle here we’ve got a

Lot of mobs i was just trying to get into the crimson forest and get a little bit of stuff oh please okay god let’s go i know a little bit of a rough change of scenery here but yep i really wanted those little crimson vines okay they’re all dealt with much much

Better here oh golden apple down but there we go i think that’s going to be absolutely awesome i ended up adding a few signs around here so water breathing we know netherwork puffer fish plus redstone for extra length splash potion of weakness we got a fermented spider eye straight into some gunpowder

We can get that for our villager conversions over here we got slow falling with netherwork phantom membrane and redstone for the extra length as well and i think that’s going to be absolutely awesome i love all this stuff i added a lot of bushes and i added the soulfire campfires up here

Which i just realized in the texture pack that i have is uh i changed them over to spruce wood instead of being the oak wood for the regular campfires should we keep that in or should i change it back to the oak one the regular campfire is not the soul fire ones those

Are still the oak textures so it’s just kind of an extra bonus block in there up top is a little bit of stuff around here just some extra storage and things and i want to spruce this up eventually with uh some non-sprucy textures up there but

I’m not too sure what to do but i think that is absolutely awesome what we could do fun idea in here is make it look like this area is serving as a little bit of a growing room for whatever plants we might use for all of the herbalisms and

Potions and things like that so just cramming all these oak leaves in here could be kind of a fun feel to it we’ll just leave them in there and let them do their thing but that’s gonna do it for today’s episode my friends thank you all so very
