Minecraft Hardcore Let’s Play : The Starter House! Episode 1

Hey folks whip here and welcome to a brand new minecraft series in the singleplayer world where we are starting hardcore season two we’ve got two data packs enabled over here for ourselves being those two guys right in there thank you vanilla tricks for that then more world options over here we are

Going to be going with a lovely seed my friends that is going to be flip subscribe right there let’s go ahead and do this thing creating a new world oh my gosh this is the perfect place to start in a tiger forest oh i love it oh that is perfect let’s chop

Our first trees down here as you can see we are in hardcore mode which means if we die this series ends last time we made it three months let’s see how long we can last on this one here if you’re excited for the brand new series please be sure to click that like

Button down below i’ve got to get a few pieces of wood over here so we can get some tools and hopefully uh not get blown up by a creeper in episode one now the last hardcore season we did based inside of a mega tiger it

Looks like we have a is that a shattered savanna also why am i just ignoring the village here what i’m just like looking over the top of the village being like look at that there’s a shattered savannah something or another over there as there’s a village

Right in front of us um okay well we’re gonna be raiding this place anything in here just some doors and a bed i like a blue bed we’ll take that and a craft table we don’t have to use ours first and foremost we need ourselves a wooden pickaxe over here and

I think good now we’re gonna hold off let’s get some you know we can get some cobblestone right here villages are just perfect for starting out you can just take so much cobblestone that’s really what it’s for right just raiding the sides of the structures okay there we go stone pickaxe already

Upgraded stone axe and let’s get ourselves a sword here too just for you know safety’s sake there we go get in an upgrade all done for some reason i’ve been really wanting to find a plane’s bomb to build with inside this world oh i like that and some bread in here too

Thank you oh i should take this craft table with me we can come back on over here later and raid some villagers for sure but i’m thinking planes by them because i really want to build a farming village inside of the series i think it’s going

To be an awesome one that we do how you doing little guy oh spruce saplings pumpkin seeds potatoes farming village has to happen here everybody leather armor i will take that for sure i’m gonna come back here eventually and raid all of these trapdoors for sure as well

This is for joel now we have the ability to skip the first night we have a little bit of leather armor here we’re starting to take our first hunger shanks here so we’re going to need to start eating some food soon we’ve got plenty of that stuff handled

But what i wanted to do is that a mushroom island you’ve got to be kidding me this is the best seat ever all right first question here for y’all do we base on the mushroom island we are playing hardcore after all so mushroom eyelid means no hostile mob spawns unless there is a

Spawner so that could be super big value but does that kind of move away from the hardcore side of we’re just avoiding mobs by going in an area where mobs don’t exist let me know that down in the comments below being the mushroom island itself if we

Find any cave systems in there we don’t have to worry about lighting them up so that could be a really early power gain for ourselves if we could get on that guy it’s a perfect brand new minecraft world there’s another mushroom island over there are you kidding me i’ve never

Generated a world with one of these and we have two of them right next to us quickly now all the way in there’s the door there’s the door please let me get through this gravel oh please no quickly quickly now quickly now break it break it before we turn before we drown before

We’re drowning okay there we go i should really make there’s the chest for ourselves we’ve got some feathers some more paper and a buried treasure map oh that’s big valley and then there’s another one right over here oh nice even more paper the best the farming village is off to a great start

Everybody we’ve got everything we need we even have berries looks like the buried treasure map is actually headed right back over to where we spawned in that might honestly right in the spawn chunks if it’s right over there now we can’t go digging for buried treasure with our hands over here so i’m

Gonna make ourselves a shovel with our last piece of cobblestone where’s this guy pointing us out to is he right here and then it’s gonna be right back underwater over here let’s see if we can get him from this height might be a little further down here so

We’re gonna have to watch the bubbles right over there as we’ve got it iron diamonds emeralds or not diamonds that was gold different thing very different thing and tnt acquire hardware look at that oh my gosh we’re so strong we have five iron for ourselves i think we have to get

A pickaxe just for the sake of getting our first iron pickaxe but then we have two left over and i’m thinking a sword could be very very useful here as it’s going to be night time and because this is hardcore and not the amplified survival world anymore i sleep found another shipwreck over

Here next to the second mooshroom island i want to quickly raid this thing before we keep on moving forwards here so hopefully we can find something cool back in this little chesty guy right back in here and oh we got more iron lapis look at that iron nuggets and more gold and i’m

Running out of space and now i’m drowning man we really needed chest boats added to this game that would be so nice down here we’ve got some more paper we’ve got a second buried treasure map so i’m gonna leave the old one in here

This guy is a brand new map as well so that’s super cool and we’re going to take this empty map here with us too and we’ll mark wherever our base is what do i want to get rid of one gravel oh is that a drowned structure on land

Some more free loot for ourselves don’t mind if i do uh something just died in front of me we got some pigs over there it looks like we’re just on a little island not quite what i was hoping for but can we get any more loot around here there’s some drown running around

And more wheat nice and some coal i’ll take that and another buried treasure map they are different buried treasure maps sweet okay well we’ve got another one for ourselves and that’s obsidian right there and they’re dark up what the heck man luck of the sea fishing rod one more

Structure to find over here but we there was a trade that was a trident there was a trident did he see us he did not i think we can sneak our way in there before the drown with the trident notices us so let’s go quick another buried treasure

Map i’m just gonna leave that one for now i we just we have to find some way to put our treasure somewhere before we’re overflowing on treasure and could no longer have any more as mentioned i want to find a plane’s bomb connected to the ocean but also

With a big forest behind it i think we just got that did we just this this world is insane this is insane the flip subscribe seed is here for us my friends it’s here there’s um there’s another village right over there oh my gosh i swear this is not scripted at all and

This is actually a random seed this is so insane i know most people down in the comments are like you picked this one on purpose you knew this wasn’t me this way how would i know that flip subscribe was gonna have this seed behind it since my inventory is very

Full right now i think we’re gonna leave most of these unless there’s anything very important inside of them i did find a saddle inside of that leather workers house over there since these villagers already are living inside of the planes bomb right here i

Think it’s time for us to move on and i think this spot right over here could be really solid i’m really liking the look of that hill and there’s a jungle behind it so far we have shattered savannah we have jungle we have mushroom island we have mega taiga

We have planes by em sorry seeds the only thing i believe are missing at this point is a dark oak forest that’s pretty much it we have everything else that we could ever need for building wise this is insane oh my god there’s another village you

Know what this is it we’re taking it we can’t keep looking and there’s villages everywhere in this world this is a very populated minecraft world apparently we are going to live right here this right here with these horses this is our new land this is it time to

Set up our base camp a little bit over here and done looks great i love it our starter base is amazing we do have the empty map however so let’s open it up right here and ah it’s not perfectly centered that’s a bummer it’s close enough though we can enlarge that

Map later and hopefully that’ll work out better for us because we’re going to do a little bit of mining around here i want to make our starter house out of some oak wood as well as this spruce wood that we have around us so i’m actually going to start a big

Spruce tree farming area it’s okay to grow some pods probably over here it’ll be outside of the range of our village for now and it’s not too big of a walk so that’d be okay with me we have to be very careful of creepers because one finds us and blows up on top

Of us or you know near us we’re dead that’s it as we found last time evo’s full netherride armor without blast protection 4 you die to a creeper and hardcore so we have to be extremely careful of those i learned a lot in our last hardcore playthrough but there’s still a lot that

I think i gotta improve on and be very careful of as i’ve been playing regular survival recently death here and there doesn’t really bother me so i’m a very very very terrified of coming back into this world here now that things are um a little different any spooky things

Down here want to kill me anybody no nobody okay we’re just gonna go iron sword at the ready and still no mobs i do see iron though it could be a trap this is a big cave big cave very big cave in skeleton skeleton can

No longer get to us i want to have armor and at least a shield we’re gonna make a shield i promise i’ll actually use one this time oh my gosh there’s a giant ravine right through this block of coal oh that’s death that was almost death i

Was standing right on top of that anything in here oh he sees me he sees me we are gonna play the smart and break that one and then come in here and hit him from the toesies yes monster hunter i’ve done it i’ve done it we’ve won hardcore

There we go number one and adding to our base camp right around here we can do that smelting right above our head you know really just warms the pillow while you’re trying to sleep that’s really the purpose behind it the sun is high in the sky that stuff is cooking down so i’m

Thinking we head over to that third village and see if we can’t find something cool in there and maybe be able to raid some more stuff oh my gosh there’s actually a blacksmith and everything in here what do you got dude weaponsmith iron sword with smite too

Not too bad not bad could have taken his grind sit down so wish i’d done that oh my gosh 13 obsidian that’s a whole nether portal big old creepy cave down here right next to the village of course let’s light this up for these guys help keep them a little safe you know

They’re all dying they only got one life i only got one life we gotta look out for each other i’m taking their bell i was starting to think food was gonna be a problem but i managed to find 20 apples so far from this area which is absurd free iron free oh

First creeper the first creeper i did not make a shield i i messed this up i messed this up a lot nope and he’s gone he’s gone he’s gone it’s fine he’s gone it’s fine it’s fine he’s gone it’s fine second creeper down there i have nothing to block him off with

Let’s sorry we have to fight him we have to fight him this time we’re finding the creeper we are fighting the creeper we’re doing it we’re fighting the creeper and we killed the creeper look at that oh we’re so good no reason to be scared over here

None at all the sky is darkening as we are coming out of the cave which is kind of cool to see i really love the minecraft sunsets they are so beautiful now this house in here had quite a few beds i’m sorry buddy i’m taking it

No it’s mine i’m sleeping here you could find your own place to sleep this is mine rude that’s quite rude really really quite rude there we go six more iron for ourselves and we already had five could have made a shield the whole time coulda made a shield the entire time

That’s fine i’m not upset we’re gonna make one right now there we go shield look at us acquired hardware or whatever the advancements called an iron chest plate please right there there we go thank you thank you thank you we need a one more and let’s make ourselves a helmet we’ll replace the

Leather armor as we go next up as amazing as our base looks down here i think it is time that we’ve gotta build a starter house for ourselves so let me come up with a little bit of an idea here for what we can do for the base

Oh my gosh this was meant to be everybody this was meant to be we even have donkeys over here there’s everything we could ever need inside this area oh my gosh it’s way too good i’ve been over here expanding the base like crazy with a second furnace right

Up here smelting down some glass for ourselves and i’ve been gathering resources like crazy over here as well we’ve got a lot of junk for us and one last thing i think we might want is some of that all jungle wood right over there that tree right there i

Really love and i’m thinking we’re gonna build a tree house on that one eventually just because it looks so cool standing on the edge of the jungle so we gotta go find another one deeper in so i’ve got full iron armor now and full

Iron tools just kind of got a lot of the grind work done and there we go we’ve got melons we’ve got every type of crop that we could possibly want to plant down now as we’re getting this little tree over here i’ve got a question for y’all

I always like to ask this at the beginning of series what do you think our goal should be for this year hardcore survival let’s play let me know so oh my gosh we almost fell and died big scary ravine over there avoiding that let me know what you all want to be

Seeing for this one here i’m looking for something new to do very much want to dive back into my favorite build style of like a medieval farming place which i think is gonna be so cool but that doesn’t mean that’s the only thing we’re gonna do

I have to look over the edge just know how deep this thing is oh you know not quite as bad as i thought it’d be i thought that’d be instant death there’s lava at the bottom well if we need any lava later we can go get that

Something tells me having a stone cutter is gonna be very very helpful but there’s the last bit of the stack of glass for ourselves so we got all of these things to work with now and i really think we can come up with something pretty cool i want to start

Out with some cobblestone and lay this structure out where’s a good point to build for ourselves i’m almost thinking we could have the village kind of following a pathway heading down towards the ocean where we can have a docks area a loading yard i kind of like being on top of this hill

So maybe we’d honestly go right behind where we have their setup right now now for a lot of these structures that we’re going to be building here today taking a little bit of step back from a plan i had started over here is i would love to build them as if we’re building

For the interior space i’ve had a lot of fun working with interiors inside of the new city that we’ve built in over in the survival world and bring it out to seven wide i think that’ll be a pretty good size for a starter house for ourselves and we’re going to start bringing this

All the way back over here i don’t really know how long it’s going to be but the thought would be is we can have a little front entryway right in this point maybe we bring that out with some spruce wood or some oak wood or something

And then right back out over in here we can maybe turn this into let’s see that’s four blocks and we have five we bring this all the way over to here opens ourselves up into a larger doorway where we can maybe close that off and have the door coming out to this side

Then we could have a little bit of a storage nook or maybe even a staircase to get ourselves up to a second layer or something like that could work out pretty well for us it’s currently 10 long and i want to go a little bit wider this could be a

Rather big starter house no that i’m looking at it we can now start doing a bit of detailing i think the area back in this point is going to serve as a bedroom for us for now we’ll expand that later as we need to we can have a front little

Entry area over in here maybe some little seating area or something with a big old window on that side we’ll figure out the floor later on but for now let’s start getting a few front entry details into this thing so we can have that right in there we can have a

Door right over in here to get into the bedroom just so we have an extra safe space for ourselves now this front little entry point that i was talking about i like the idea of turning this little jutting out portion into something that’s actually going to have some wood on it

So taking these guys stripping them all the way down and then we can come all the way up here with some oak wood and finally bringing in some oak planks that’s going to go all the way around i like that i think that looks nice and

If we have a little bit of a lean-to structure for the roof going in there i think it’s gonna look even better next up for all minecraft builds it’s time to put a outside wall on this thing and i’m gonna have to go get some more cobblestone going with

A bit of a flatter roof style for now is i wanted to do something a bit like this and actually i think i might take that down another block i want it to feel very rounded now that we finished smelting up that stone i think we can get a

Gr stone cutter there we go that’s what i want i also made stuff for a grindstone apparently oopsies making a few different bits of slabs and stairs and the works over here i wanted to start seeing what we could do for a roof face on this guy

So if we bring it all the way up like this and then i’m thinking we could have an upside down stair right in here and then this is where things are going to get interesting because i want to do a probably a double stare and then we go with slabs right in here

Then maybe another stair action right like that then we do slabs and we’ve got full block and i feel like that’s going to look a little wonky so maybe instead of adding that stair up there we just add in some slabs to carry it going all the way throughout

And then we make these slabs look a little bit thicker by adding some extra blocks underneath which after all of that work in here we end up with a bit of a roof like this which i think is actually really cool i like that a lot we’ll go ahead and keep

That for sure for now we can pop some windows out in it now we’re coming up to a bit of an interesting point here i’ve got the back half of the roof in which was the simple part because now we need to figure out how we want to connect these

Guys up if we do that little lean to bit i don’t think it’s going to look the best so i was thinking instead we can just do a much smaller version than what we had up there of just doing something right in here and then

We do a slab on top so it doesn’t go all the way up to that peak bit that we had all the way up there in the craziness but it can still be something kind of cool for us so then we can just bring all these lines coming straight back until they

Fill into a point that would connect into the main roof which i think is gonna actually be right about here yes it looks like it is perfect starting to decorate the build a little bit here already is this is my favorite i think every bit of detail that i use for doorways

Is just doing the double slobs right there then we come up here with a full block and just create this lovely little archway i really like to avoid having the one wide doors inside of my actual builds if unless i’m trying to add a point to get into a bedroom

Like we have back here to make it a little bit safer but something like this just as a transition point from one room to the next we have the one window chopped out right in there i was thinking another smaller window right inside of this one

Could be kind of cool and then i would love to have a window inside of my bedroom so that i can see out and you know what’s going on outside in the world if i need to sleep soon or what’s up with that adding in a few little pieces of polished andesite up

Here and using some stone i think we can create a very cool looking archway that’ll also work as an extra bit of detail in here being the different block and then that actually will if we play it right we’ll make a nice little rounded archway and then we

Can bring in some andesite to help mix up all of the cobblestone we have around here because it’s uh let’s be honest it’s a little busy and kind of gross looking and i was thinking we could start working with a gradient of sorts of down here we have the

Cobblestone it’s going to move into the andesite which will have a little bit of gravel mixed into it here as well to disrupt it so it’s not just clean and site across the board and then we bring in the very clean texture of our regular stone all the way up here at the

Top and i think it’s gonna look really really good and we start to get a very cool looking area i know i basically removed all of the cobblestone but we’ll be using that here soon you can see i built up a few shears because i want to

Head over to the jungle and gather a few vines and get some mossy cobble here too 20 or so should be enough i hate that one vine and one cobblestone makes one mossy cobblestone it’s so hard to get all of them in order to make this mob proof we

Probably need to fill in the windows with some glass panes around here so that nobody can really climb in while we’re crawling out of bed the outside of the house is pretty much finished up now i’ve just gotta add in a few let’s go with the window shutter on that side

Just gotta add in a few of these shutters and extra details like i was gonna mention i really wanted to be able to build a furnace coming out right in here i think so we want to go straight up out of this point and we end up right about here where i

Brought our stone cutter not cold stone cutter with us and i wanted to take a few bits of these guys maybe grab a few slabs for ourselves a wall maybe it could work and then some anti-sight stairs we’ll see what we can do with those

So i’m thinking we go with a wall coming off to this side so it’s a little bit wacky and moving to that side over there and then we can maybe just do the andesite right there and then we’ll just leave it without the slapster now that’s gonna be totally fine oh we

Can put one on top even better right now this is all mob spawn well that block is this block is and this block and a few down there so i was thinking we could fix that with all of these guys let’s start with 32 for now so we don’t

Waste all of our spruce wood but we could just bring them right across here i know it’s to add a little bit of a bump but i think that’s okay it’s going to at least make it mob proof so that we don’t die i would rather have something a

Tiny little bit of a bump of a button on it than a creeper spawning up there and killing us now that we have the chimney coming out of the top of it i think it looks a million times better that is a great little start here i’ll get everything moved inside here

Eventually or maybe that’s something we can do later because right now i would like to make a bucket and what would be episode one of a brand new flip series without at least a tiny bit of terraforming to it we need to get some seeds and that’s going to be a-okay

But what i was thinking is for our decorative farmland that we have maybe around our base to get started is we can have a small little pond right up in here and then we can take this and i think i’m going to work from the destination

First we can have a bit of a larger pond right here which we’ll add a stone wall to stop it from flowing down there in a moment but then we end up with something right down here and if we take this out being four blocks to each side it’s gonna actually

Give us a really good space of farmland that we can start using and tilling and apparently this is a much larger piece of farmland than i initially thought it would be because the stonehole is not enough now to start the smorgasbord of farming areas that we all start with

Let’s throw all of the wheat seeds down in here and i want to see if we can use just the top for our carrots and potatoes now before i move everything in i’ve had a little bit of an idea of something that i thought be a cool way to keep ourselves safe

Inside of this series that we have here is that every time we build a structure inside of the farming village we’re going to have a little bit of a wall that’s going to be incorporating all of the builds into it and so we just grow the wall as we go

And we can keep the inside very safe and mob proof for now a little bit of a wall like this i think will be absolutely perfect we can add our front gateway onto it right here using some walls and then a fence in the middle and they actually won’t connect to each other

But uh i only have five cobblestone left so if we’re trying to build this thing up too tall i’ve got to go do a little bit more block breaking i think i need another iron pickaxe what i really should be doing is start working on a staircase to get ourselves

All the way down to diamond level looks like this was a great call for finding some good amounts of iron down here thankfully been going for quite a while uh we made it from all the way up there to down here got a good amount of

Cobblestone for us not quite as much as we need though yet i’m hearing some zombies into a cave off in this direction i really don’t want to dive into one for now i think our best bet is going to be strip mining but maybe if we can kind of poke our head in

That could work as i’m literally saying i don’t want to do that right now then i’m like but maybe what if we do huh ever thought about that idea oh there goes a cave in one of our iron ore sad day uh well i did say i wanted to

Poke my head in kinda but we’re not gonna explore it can we at least get down here to poke our head in there’s iron there’s lots of iron shield at the ready shield at the ready bring in that block and spooky scary spooky scary nothing over there nothing that way

And we’re in the cave and we’re in the cape there’s a zombie there’s a zombie in the cave we can take out a zombie we can do the zombie the zombie is fine dead zombie’s dead we got him this is another zombie with a spoon i would like the spoon and there’s gold

Zombie behind you there’s a gold zone behind you nothing behind us still we’re good i’m very cautious of creepers walking behind me oh there’s so much iron down here this is a good fine i’m glad i did this made it out before the sun went down

Which is great as it is literally just about to set now cobblestone wise we need to be able to stack this stuff up quite a lot but thankfully we don’t have to go super high because i want to make sure the entire thing is mob proof so no mobs

Are actually going to be spawning on top of our wall so we’re going to be using a lot of stairs and slabs for now just building up a few sections and make it feel like this is waving around we can start coming back in with a bunch

Of these slabby guys as well as some stairs and start making it look like it’s just really ruined and broken down all over the place and it gives an awesome feel to it eventually i do want to come back throughout this point making that pro parkour move within

These walls right now the only threat that we are going to have is spiders which is very nice well that is after we actually you know torch this entire area up so that no mobs can spawn inside of here so probably gonna throw just a few of these

Guys down we’ll eventually turn it into some hidden lighting so that we don’t have torches all over the place one quick bit of detail we can add in out here on the front however which hopefully won’t take us too much fall damage when we’re getting up here

Is i want to stack up a little bit of the spruce wood action bring in some stairs for ourselves starting with a slab here in the center then do a stair off to the side landing on this other point oh professional and then stretching some slabs across

The middle right here and i kind of like that up one in the center but that is mob spawnable so not today landing down here in our final bit to mob proof the front of this is bam right there no mobs can get through now haha we are safe on the inside

Updating the map for our house and it’s looking really cool down there too so we’ll have to keep an eye on this one and get an item frame for it here soon don’t quite have that ready to go first word in pokex throw it in there as well and i think i

Pretty much got everything there might be a few more items on the ground oh yeah lots of items lots of important items now the last little bit of detail i thought we could use to add an extra sense of defense for ourselves is dotting a few of these sweet berry

Bushes along the outside they will hurt mobs that walk into them so hopefully that’ll help to deter some mobs from trying to be like a skeleton staring right over here on the edge with their bow and arrow being able to hit us as far as i know

The entire place that we’ve created in here is mob proofed and lit up enough so that mobs shouldn’t be spawning including the roof since we added in all of those buttons so this is gonna be our safe haven moving forwards i hope is this small no there’s a torch

Right there that should definitely be good this this is my spawnable though we do have one open point i need another torch how sad would that be of me forgetting the one point right in the exact center of the entire area and the one creeper spawns right there

Not probably the best way to go if that happens i think that’s called karma or something along those lines we’ve got a bunch of goodies here for ourselves we’ve made an awesome base here folks and that i believe is all i’ve got time for on today’s episode if you’re excited
