What’s up guys and welcome back to wbc builds and welcome to part one of my haunted mansion tutorial series so in this video i’m going to show you guys how to build the ground floor the main staircase and the internal walls on screen now you’ll see the materials list Just for this part i’ll include another one of these at the beginning of each of the following parts in this series also on screen now you’ll be able to see the layout of the floor plan now you can download this as a pdf in the description below Alongside a schematic of it so you can paste it in with world edit or i’ve actually included a world download with just this on the ground as well so you can build along at home while we go through the video now without further ado let’s jump into the video and start by doing The foundations for the main part of the building so let’s go right so the first step in this tutorial is to go around and place a one high block textured wall of jungle planks and stripped jungle wood on top of all the red wall we’ve just placed down while building that layout On top of this it’s a case of going around and placing a one block high wall of birch planks as well on top of all of the jungle and the strip jungle wood after that it is a case of going around and putting andesite blocks on all of The light blue wall but we’ll get on to that in a second where we’ve got this birch ring going around that would be where the floor level is for the house so we’ll build ourselves a little staircase up to that in a bit just to make sure we’ve got to the right Level of the floor so like i said we’re going to go around now and place down one block of normal andesite on top of all of the light blue blocks here this is going to form the foundation stones for the porches now coming onto the porches we will do the roofs for those In the second part of this series because as we move on up to the first floor so you can see here i’m going around to all of the corners and placing down that piece of andesite between those and the side pieces we’ll go back through and remove All of the yellow wall and replace it with polished andesite as you can see i’m doing now so go around and dig up all of that yellow wool and place down some polished andesite once we’ve done that we’ll get back on to placing it down Some birch fences on top of all of that polished and site and that will form the main part of the foundation of these little porches later on behind all of that birch fences we’ll place down some jungle planks so make sure you got those At hand as well let me get on to that step so you can see here i’m just going to do the main front porch as well because that’s also part of this so i’m going to go around and in between all of this place down some birch fences so for These main two little bays here we’ve got a section of four blocks then a piece of andesite and a section of five blocks round here we’ve got a section of two blocks and then four blocks between the wall and the piece of anderson and then coming around the back here we have a Square of two by two pretty much or a four by four if you would say that and finishing off the front here as well now it’s time to come around and then place some jungle planks behind all of this birch fencing to act as the bricks inside So it looks a bit more solid so you’ve got a bit more foundation for that so we’re going to go around and do this for the entirety of the house we’ve got all of those porches already see here at the back here place down six in that one And then place down some in this one as well so it’s time now to come around to the front staircase and place down the polished and the site here three blocks out from where the original andesite was and one block out each side then in between that fill up with more Polished andesite until you reach the original and the side block on top of those blocks place up two more blocks of polish on the side and one towards the house now it’s time to grab out some stone brick slabs and fill up the main staircase here so we’re going to do that On the one slab level then a full block level behind that then place another course across the birch fences and bring out that course as well now it’s time to place the slabs on top here so they match up with the roof um with the building and then bring that out four blocks Towards the staircase coming around to the side get some upside down stone stairs on the go here and one around the other side and also on the backs of the polished andesite we placed further out down there now coming back around to these polished and side blocks it’s time to place down some Andesite walls on top of those and then also on top of the two blocks we’ve got the back there then between the walls and the polished and side place in some iron railings so you can fill up those gaps there and that’s the stairway complete after this we’re going to move on to Doing the other porches so now we’re coming around to the left hand side here place down some polished andesite on top of the normal and the site and between that fill it up with upside down stone stairs now on top of the polish down the side place in some stripped birch wood and Then we’re going to fill up the main deck area here with stripped oak now this is going to carry on to the right hand side of the building as well so we’re going to jump over there once we filled in this section of oak so we’re going to Come around here later on and fill up the area with more birch fence gates and i’ll show you what i mean later on when we get to the porches out the back which is where we’re going to head off to next well actually the next step is to fill In the main floor of the house so we’re going to grab some dark oak planks here and go around on the same level as the birch and fill in the entirety of the floor it is raised up by one block so if you’re building this in survival You may want to think about filling that in just in case you don’t want things spawning under there i don’t know if spiders will spawn under there probably not coming around to the back here we’re going to put in this porch so place one block of polished andesite out from the original andesite And then fill that up with some more andesite inside coming through as well with the stone brick slabs building it up so you’ve got increments of four so fully two blocks high now in between these polished andesite blocks and the wall placed upside down and the site um Stairs and then on top of those we’re going to place in some birch fence gates as you can see we’re doing now also up here we’re going to use some sandstone walls as a little bit of a difference there and then place in between some birch fence gates Fill this up as we deal with the front with some stripped oak coming round to the other side porch as well we’re going to carry on the same idea so one block of anderson polish anderson further out from the original ones and then fill up the gap there with some other anderson Build up the stairway with some stone brick slabs until you reach two block high so you’ve got a nice four slab rise through there and then using undecided stairs again upside down across the top of the birch so we’re doing the same idea as we did on the other side so Underside walls with some birch fence gates in between and then some sandstone walls with also birch fence gates so coming back round now to the front of the house we’re going to start filling in this porch area as well with the birch fence gates and then that’s The porch is done to where we can now we will carry on the porches in the second part of the series so now it’s time to build the actual walls of the house so building up seven blocks high with a textured wall of jungle planks and stripped Jungle wood we’re going to build across here three blocks from the outside and then leaving a gap of two blocks for the first window building a second wall up there of two blocks wide and seven blocks high and we’re going to build up another wall here of three blocks wide until we’ve Reached the corner you can see there we’ve got two windows of two blocks wide now on this side wall here we’re gonna build up two block wide walls and then leave a gap in the center there again for another window around the front build in three blocks high but only Build up five blocks high this time we’re going to come back around and detail the top of the doorway later on so this is going to carry on exactly the same as it did on the left-hand side so you’ve got two blocks then a gap of two blocks then we’ve got three blocks Up into the corner but obviously you can only see two when you build up the outside wall and then three blocks window of two two blocks window of two and then three blocks to the corner so now we’re gonna move on round to the side here where all the windows are So using um some cut sandstone here to denote the edges of those windows we’re going to come back around and fill up these walls to the full height later on obviously you can pause the video at any point and make sure you copy it exactly the same I know i’m not explaining it 100 as we go around and that is just because the visual explanation is there on the screen so you can see we’ve come around to this corner here we’ve got a bay window there we’ve now got another two wide window alongside More walls of two blocks wide and then we’re gonna come around to this back bit here and carry on detailing in the windows and the walls so fill up this whole section here along this section here we’re going to have two blocks and then a window of two Blocks and then repeat that pattern until you get to the end so we’re gonna have three windows on this side one window around the back on the corners place some cut sandstone in there which we’ll go back around to later on and add some extra detailing In on the tower here we’re going to place in some cut sandstone to mark the edge of the windows as we did with the bays over there and these are two blocks wide and the whole thing here just carries on the same all the way around So we’re going to carry on across here we will have some windows above this porch but they’re one block higher than the rest and we’ll get on to that later on so leave another gap there for some windows and we’re going to come back around this Side and do exactly the same as we did on the right hand side so we place in this cut sandstone blocks we’re leaving a one block wide gap in the center there for a window placing in the walls following around the birch again and then on the corners Leaving two block gaps in between for those bays there filling up the walls now to seven blocks high you can see on the sixth block it’s placing another block of cut sandstone and then filling in across the windows like so this just helps add a little bit of extra detail to these windows So we’re going to carry on going around the whole building now building up all the walls to seven blocks high apart from one section of wall which we’ll get on to when we get round there but you can see here it’s the same idea so the piece of cut sandstone On the sit flock up and that is just again for a little bit of detail and it’ll be where we place the upside down sandstone stairs later on so let’s fill this wall up fairly quickly these windows are unremarkable they are just the same gaps in them As we’ve got around the front so coming around to this side here you can see we’re doing the same again seven blocks up and then filling in the tops of the gaps in a second as well for the doorway here it is just a height of three blocks And there’ll be some glass placed above that later on in the tutorial when you go around and build this wall make sure you try and keep it textured by using a random selection of jungle planks and jungle strip logs as well and just keep this nice rustic looking feel to it like It’s been there for a little while so coming across here again we’re building up the walls at seven blocks high and then filling in across the top so the windows themselves are six blocks and that is a case of when we come back round later on we’ll place in the window Seals which should be one block high and then the glass itself will be four so you can see here we place in in some brick walls there and another piece of cut sandstone on top and coming around to the tower we got the same motif going on As we had with the other bay windows so on the sixth block there placing a piece of cut sandstone coming round to the other side here we’ve got a similar idea going on again with the windows to build the gaps all the way up but this window here is only Five blocks high so make sure you fill in two blocks above that one there and it’s the same of these ones here make sure you only fill up the top two blocks like that now we come around to this wall here where it’s a little bit different Only build up five blocks high here and i’ll explain later on in probably the second part as to why but that’s to do with a porch roof it comes in so make sure after the doorway you build it up only five blocks high you can see here when you count in four Blocks that’s five blocks high as well and then we come in for the sixth and seventh and it’s higher up there it’s carrying this bit on around here exactly the same as we did on the other side of the house make sure again you pause it if you are Flying past it too quickly and build it at your own pace so that will be the walls all up to the same height now it’s a point of going around and putting in the window details which we’ll be doing in a second so we’re going to come around to the Front here again and using upside down smooth sandstone stairs on top and the bottom of the windows you’re going to make yourself a nice little ledge and a hood also up the side place in four trap doors either side so they’re standing vertically and this will give you a nice little lining Around the windows helps bring in the sizes and makes it a little bit look a little bit nicer so we’re going to carry this on all the way around until we get to the square bays again so you can see all three windows on this side are exactly the same and Trap doors repaint place as you well know come around to the front we’re going to put some upside down sandstone wall fences up here again and then build across the top like that so you’ve got a nice hood above the doorway coming into the door itself it’s going to be made out of Some dark oak wood that’s been stripped and we’re placing four blocks of that high and this is gonna be two blocks wide on the front of that place some buttons some birch buttons or some oak buttons to give it a nice little bit of detail coming around to the side again here We’re going to carry on what we did before with the birch doors and also the sandstone stairs to carry on exactly the same and then we’re going to come around to the square bays as well but first of all we need to pop inside and fill up a little wall that we’ve got Going on here so make sure you’ve got that wall filled up so then you can put some trapdoors on it in a second so we’re going to come through and do the same idea again upside down stairs top and bottom and then line the walls here with some trapdoors So it isn’t until we get round to the other bait this idea changes so we’re going to carry this on round in a second and you can see here for both these two windows again exactly the same like i said pause the video if you need To to catch up we are just powering through the windows now so we’re going to move on to the left hand bay here in a second and what you want to do for that is place some sandstone walls up the inside of the left hand wall and the right hand wall Um so this will give you a better definition of how this is going to go so you can see here upside down smooth sandstone stair there with a piece of jungle plank just behind it just to help give it a bit of depth then we’re going to place one two three Four blocks of sandstone wall up and also some cut sandstone on top of that and another piece of upside down sandstone stair this is going to carry on into the center as well as you can see there and that center piece will also have some glass panes in later on when we Come back around to this section so just carrying on the top across there so you’ve got your jungle planks going on we have missed out the button there so if we pop back in and put that in so these windows are slightly different coming around here to the side this One’s exactly the same but the next two or next three are also going to be different so above these windows they’re going to have upside down polished granite stairs to form a little archway and like i said this carries all the way around the back of the house until you Get back to the similar window on the opposite side but it still has the trap doors up each of the side the next step after this is to put the doorway in which should be dark oak doors along with some light gray stained glass above it and that just helps give it a Nice little bit of detail above the doorway so i’m going to come in here and place it there that’s why the doorway is three blocks high make sure you place them on the inside of the wall so you get a little bit of depth there as well And above those some light gray stained glass paint so as i said coming around to the back here you can see it’s exactly the same again so the upside down granite stairs at the top there forming a little archway and then we’re going to come through Later on and add the glass on the inside of the wall because obviously we can’t put any glass on the actual wall itself here so again exactly the same on this back window so carry this on until you get to that little wizards tower as we’ve called it in the Other videos if you haven’t seen those other videos make sure you go check them out because they are great i really enjoyed making the tour and the time lapse for it because that’s really what fueled this video on from here so moving on to this little Bed tower here now you got to go upside down sandstone stairs again and then we’re going to place some light gray stained glass in the actual windows themselves this is the first time we put in any glass in the windows but that’s because there isn’t enough room behind them To actually have the actual glass placed one block back so do that round all three of these windows moving on to these other windows now these are slightly shorter but they follow the same idea as the ones on the opposite side so these are only three blocks high with The trap doors and then place in the upside down polished granite stairs there these two over here don’t have any sandstone along the bottom but they do have the upside down granite stairs and the trap doors up the side so you can see there they’re slightly shorter Putting in the doorway here now we’re going to use dark oak doors again and then leave that area blank above it but place in the upside down polished granite stairs two blocks up above that there’s a nice big window that goes in above the door So you can see here this is the wall where we’ve got two blocks down from the actual main height of the doorway uh so ignore that for now we’ll come back to that in the later part of the series so around to these bays again we’re Going to have the sandstone walls on the inside there you’ve got four of those on top of a jungle plank and then you’ve got the upside down smooth sandstone stairs uh as we’ve done with all the other windows so again nothing different here and moving on to the other square Bay the last one we’ve got to fill up the actual window details as a case of using the smooth sandstone stairs again and also the birch trapdoors and i hate saying smooth sandstone stairs is i’m an absolute tongue twister so you know be happy that i’ve actually managed to Sit here and say that anyway it’s time to move on to the inside of the house now and around the entirety of the exterior walls we’ve just put up it is time to place down some stripped dark oak logs or even wood now it doesn’t matter about the orientation because you can Try and get them all so they’re laying horizontal but for me i just i gave up after trying so much because there’s too many corners in that you can see here i’m following the birch up at the back there where we’ve got the edge of the wizards Tower but coming all the way around here now when we get to this wall here that angles back in on itself leave that blank of it so you can see there i fill it up and take it away again leave that wall blank a bit because that Stays as it is we can’t fit any internal walls on there because the window’s there but once this is done it’s time to go around and place all of the glass one block back and then fill that all up with brown terracotta so we actually have our internal wall after that we’ll get On to showing you the actual layout of this place with the extra internal walls on it and then we can get going with that but like i said it’s time to place some light gray stained glass four blocks high and two blocks wide behind all of the windows so we can get that Glowing and then behind all of that fill up the walls five blocks high with brown terracotta so this goes across all of the windows you can see there we haven’t filled it all the way up to the top of the walls and that is because above this we’re going to place smooth Sandstone later on where we fill in the roof of each of the floors so coming around here we’re going to place up these internal walls all the way around here with the glass in moving into the corner of this square bay you only use three pieces of glass as in three towers Of it because one of them is shared on the corner you can see it a bit clearer in the second image there so that is fine there so it’s 12 blocks of glass in that corner when we come around to these other bays in a second as well we’re going to be using Some gray stained panes rather than the actual full blocks and that’s just because of the way that sandstone’s walls work with paints which i think looks really nice anyway speaking of sandstone walls we’ve got to place another four up this side here and then in the front of that place on the diagonal The panes of glass which is light gray staying panes of glass again i’m going to do the same for across the entirety display and you get a nice big bay here so filling that up with four blocks like so so across the top of that bay as well Fill in the blanks so you don’t end up with a strange shape it squares off a little bit coming around here again and it’s going to be the same idea obviously we’ve omitted that wall there so you just place the glass right up against the exterior now these windows are different because They have five blocks high of glass to fit in that archway at the top and the terracotta doesn’t go across the top of them so just build that all the way up as well so you’re left with a little gap across the top so carrying this on all the way around This part of the building now i’m gonna probably duck out while we go around until we get to an interesting wall again so enjoy a bit of music Okay so we come to the wizards tower here fill up all the way up we’ll put a doorway in here later on these little windows here now are only four blocks high but you still need to place that block behind the upside down polished granite stair as we’re filling Up the walls here as well so we’re going to come around to that strange section again i always keep mentioning because i know someone’s going to comment about it but still so fill up this wall here then behind the doorway we’re going to place in some panes of glass to fill up that Little gap as well so you can see obviously we’ve only built the wall up here four blocks high but yeah above that and then below that place some upside down uh trap doors as well so you get that nice little detail going across the doorway so coming around this corner again Filling up the walls only to the height of the exterior walls on that part again we’ll get to that in the next episode filling up this wall round here and the bays exactly the same as you did on the ones behind us sandstone walls up the edge and then You’ve got the panes on the outside and the panes on the inside of the wall there and on the outside again and then blocking off the top of that bay so it becomes a bit more square finishing off this external wall now i’m going to come around finish off this last Bay and then we’re going to get back onto the front of the house and then i’m going to cut two showing you the interior design for the next floor so you can always pause the video at that point as well so you can plan it out yourself As i mentioned before the pdf is available to download uh in the description below so you can get a clearer picture of that i haven’t included a schematic for the internal walls because it’s a little bit hard to try and extract that from a whole building But you’ll be able to make sense of the plan itself you can count the blocks on the grid paper so that is perfect for what we’re doing here so let’s jump over now to having that in the house and then we can actually start lining the walls up to all the same height Okay so you can see how that goes in now i’m just gonna build it for you on screen after this we’re gonna go around and build the brown terracotta up five blocks high on top of this so it matches what we’ve done around the exterior walls there Then after that we’re gonna go around and add all of the blocks in above the doorways some of them are slightly different in height so it’s worth me going around and showing you how to do all of that and then we’re going to get it on And build the staircase and also just go around and put all the coping above the windows and then our final job after that is to put in the fireplace in the living room so the next step here is to grab out some granite walls and place four of those three of those Up and on top of that upside down dark oak stairs and then we’re going to put the dark upstairs around the top of all of these walls once we’re done with this so make sure you’ve got you know your nice selection of that then place across the top of those some Brown terracotta and some dark oak trap doors okay so we’re gonna go around now and fill up all of the walls so it’s five blocks high of brown terracotta on top of the stripped dark oak wood and this is just repeated across everything so your entire layout just needs to be like this Then above the doorway so all the gaps we’ve left in the walls there uh you can cover that up at level five but some of them are going to be even three blocks high where they haven’t actually got a door in there or only two blocks high which is just One block above the the skirting board dark oak and that would be where we actually put in some dark oak doors so mainly in the kitchen area and also the library and that further out towards the back of the house so this is going to go around and make Sure you fill up all of the walls to the same height as i’ve done now this area here leave that brown terracotta as it is on screen like i said we’re going to come back around in the next episode put on some white concrete around that And we can build the doorway so like i’ve done here placing two blocks above that door there and that allows that to open as a large opening uh come through here and build two blocks above that doorway as well blocking out a bit of the light two Blocks above that one and two blocks above that one we will come back around here and put those doors in in a bit coming around into the hallway at the back here it’s two blocks above that door this one’s built all the way down so you’ve got only two block high Gap there to put the door in i’m gonna move on through into the back office as it’s the same here so three blocks above that and then place in your door there and there i fail with placing doors as always and then it is a case of just filling up the wall So it’s all one coherent structure and also the same for the entrance to the wizards tower now this should be quite self-explanatory so i have sort of spread through this section quite quickly um you can place doors where you wish in this one actually but you know you can follow what i’ve Done here and one in the cupboard there one out into the hallway and i’m gonna come back around here and put in at the basement door and now it’s time to get started with building the staircase so the first thing you want to do is grab out your dark oak stairs and the Red never brick stairs and place three across the center there one block out from where the walls are and then the dark neb of rock uh one in the center there building four blocks away from the wall with some dark oak it is time to now place more stairs on Top of that so we’re gonna build this up three blocks high before we get to a landing so we’ve got the landing here on level two and that’s just going to be made out of full blocks of red never brick under here we’re going to go up Upside down dark oak stairs and then that allows us to place more dark upstairs on top and another one in the center we are going to have to destroy some of that brown terracotta wall behind me uh that is just how this is going to go but it’s following this procedure all The way up so we’re going to do another layer of this and then one more layer after that which will then get to an actual landing so after this one it’s on to another landing again so build in some more red never brick in there now what’s going to happen is you may Think hang on we’ve managed to block off the stairway yes this is just how i ended up building it in my design i don’t understand why but that’s how it ended up so you are covering up the top of that stair so fill in any little gaps you’ve got some more brown terracotta And then keep building up two more to this level here where we’ll get to a point where you can put the floor in for the next level so you can see where i’m putting the dark oak now on top of that brown terracotta that is the floor level for the second Floor which we’ll get on into in our next part of the video so coming back around you’re just going to see me placing in the floor level there so you just need to go up one more block high with the stairs so it’s carrying on the same Idea and you’ve got there we go your grand staircase up to the top the best description of it i could give was that so i’m sorry if that confused anyone but you know go back and rewatch that bit if it makes it any easier it’s quite a simple staircase So next stage now is to move on to filling up the hallway and making sure you’ve got all of the coving around the top of the doors and the walls so across the stairway there you can see i’ve just covered it up with dark oak stairs upside down Placed on the top block of all of our walls behind that go back through add some brown terracotta again and a couple of little upside down stairs and trap doors above that there in case my guy doesn’t get out of the way now go around and cover up the rest of This with some dark oak trap doors and you’ve got yourself a nice little staircase going on there i think it looks great so we’re gonna go around add the coving to all of the walls now on the corners here you can see you need to turn the stairs back on themselves So they sit sort of in that shape like that just gives a nice little impression of a bit of detailing around there you can actually cover that up completely and make it so it’s a full closed off bay these walls here a bit different because they actually are triple skinned walls Uh i don’t know why i did that in the end but they look quite cool so build that all the way up there again and place the coving the upside down dark upstairs across the top there finishing off this room now it’s time to move on to the other Rooms we’re going to actually start by placing the fireplace in here so what you want to do is grab out some polished and site place four blocks across there and fill in five i’ve missed out one on the corner blocks and then we’re gonna go into the bottom There and place some coal blocks all the way across there and on the back of the coal blocks we’re going to go for some polished black stone walls and line either side with some acacia logs and then some granite stair walls building out the rest of the wall there so it keeps It nice and closed in place three campfires down the bottom there and then we’re gonna close off the top with some upside down polished granite stairs once i fill in all of these little holes so this wall just needs to go all the way up there is gonna be no chimney inside Itself but we’ll put some chimneys on the roof later on so five of those across there making sure you fill up that hole i’ve just left as well i’m really not great trying to show people how to build stuff when it gets to this little bits of detail On top of this you want to place three slabs in a sort of impediment stage and then hey presto that’s your fireplace done across the front there put some iron fencing in and you got yourself a nice little grate so we are approaching the end of this First part and what we need to do now is go around and put the coving on all of the walls so that is pretty self-explanatory so you just go around and on the top block of every single wall place the upside down dark oak stairs and you can see here i’m Just gonna go through and do that now so i’m going to leave you guys with a little bit of music as we go through that because that is this part of the tutorial done so join me in the next part when we get on to actually building the upper floors and also the Roofs for the porches and that because that’s quite an interesting part and then on the third part we’ll get onto the upstairs and the main roofs and i can’t wait to show you guys how to build those so thank you all for watching make sure you finish off this little bit Here and i’ll see you in the next one You Video Information

By popular demand I bring you “Part 1” of my Haunted Second Empire Mansion Tutorial. In this mini series I will show you how to build my recent American Victorian Minecraft Mansion. This series will take the form a mostly third person “time lapse” style with a helpful (somewhat muddled and maybe unhelpful, but at least trying) narration of what is coming up and what to look out for. Let me know if you guys like this style of tutorial and feel free to give me pointer on how to improve my delivery
For this Minecraft tutorial I have included the ground floor layout of the Haunted mansion as a pdf file along with a schematic file for the layout built in red wool as well as a world download with an empty world and just the layout in for those who don’t have world edit.
