Hello wonderful people it’s wild here today I’ll be giving you lots of inspiration for parts as well as some tips and tricks so you can design the perfect path to match your build let’s get creating When creating Pathways and survival I find it helpful to start by creating a block palette then gather enough of that material that you can break and replace the pathway to create as much texture as you’d like and so you can wander your pathway wherever you want it to go This first pathway has a really calm tranquil design with its green colors and stone elements now this would work really well leading up to a cottage or perhaps within a castle complex you can see that along the pathway I’ve built these stones out of and side and I’ve Got little sections of broken Mossy stone brick walls for the path itself I’ve used a mixture of gravel tough mossy cobblestone and Cobblestone and I’ve used some stairs buttons and pressure plates to add some texture and you can see the bit of glow like in here Adds a little more green to the pathway itself keeping the color palette cohesive here I’ve used a mixture of greens and whites for the planting and you can see I’ve got some Ferns and some bushes and I’ve used the Lush azalea leaves here as they have a really bright green color This next pathway has quite a rustic medieval feel with its dark oak elements and broken up texture on the pathway you can see that we’ve used a mixture of dirt here I’ve got some path some causted and rooted dirt alongside some wooden textured blocks which blend all Together and the grass is kind of overgrown as we go along the path put some structural elements in with some fences and some planters and for the lighting I’ve kept to this neutral color palette now I’ve gone with Reds and greens for my Planters but you could Change these out for any colors that suit your build so this is a really flexible design that would work for any medieval or country style build project from above you had a real good sense of the Meandering style of this pathway for this rustic kind of Pathways it’s nice To have big sweeping curves it gives the path a more natural worn in appearance than if it was just dead straight This Modern walkway has a very different feel it’s used cool toned blocks with the quartz the Terracotta and the basalt and it’s got a very geometric feel I’ve added in some structural lighting here and I’ve kept all the lines really clean you can see there are also some panes of glass going along the pathway this just adds a little more visual interest now running alongside the pathway I’ve created these tall hedges using Mangrove leaves and this really Makes the pathway feel like a room within itself and invites you down this Corridor to wherever it might lead in its next destination the great thing about all of these path designs is you’re turning a path from a purely functional thing into something that makes the pathway itself a destination Looking from above here you can also see the pattern I’ve created using groupings of five if you’re creating a cottage core fairy or magical style build then this mushroom pathway may be just what you need let’s have a look at what brings this whole thing together so of course We’ve got different sized mushrooms dotted along the pathway and they really add color height and dimension but the pathway itself I’ve used a mixture of coral blocks with gravel the coral just breaks up the flat texture of gravel and makes it have a more natural look as we Come along this pathway I’ve broken up the pathway and added a little river or lake and I’ve created a little bridge to go over the top of this to carry the spruce elements that are on this little Bridge throughout the pathway I’ve used Spruce fences for my Lighting and I’ve created from created a little canopy mushroom here to hang some more lighting from for the planting I’ve gone with greens Reds and whites that work really well with this mushroom color scheme and I’ve carried the greens in and around the lake that I’ve created here creating Some Reeds and using some of these little drip leaves you can see as we walk down this pathway by placing some of the larger built elements on the corners it kind of conceals the next bit of the pathway from the one you’re on so that way you’re kind of discovering a new Surprise as you walk along the whole experience a really unique ID for a pathway is to create some stepping stones now you could use these to lead up to a house that’s built on water or to go along a Riverway like this you could also use this perhaps if You’re planning on doing a Japanese style build and have it going throughout a water feature I’ve kept to Greens and Stones here and let the water be the main feature there’s even some fish swimming around in there so we’ve got some Reeds we’ve got our water plants all the way along And then I’ve used a mixture of walls lily pads and drip leaves to create the walkway itself if we fly up into the air you can see that I’ve curved around following the curve of the river now this is a man-made River so I’ve ensured that I have enough width so if you’re Working in a natural River you may need to widen it a little and when you’re doing that you can do some terraforming to make the ridge of the river a little bit more interesting see how I’ve got little sections sticking out and I’ve got a nice flowing curves going with the Water it really accentuates the shape of this pathway a tip you can use here when using things like these sugarcaneous decorations is to put a little piece of string over the top once you’ve reached the height that you’d like you can hardly see these unless you’re right up near them and it Will mean that your garden remains All trim and at the right height forever If you’re creating a grand Mana or Mansion or working with a city you may want something a little bit more formal now here I’ve done a formal pathway keeping the lines nice and straight and I’ve used some bricks here and some stone bricks around the edges I’ve created some organized Planters along Either side of the pathway with little Hedges and I’ve used a mixture of my favorite flowers I really like the way you can create these topiaries using the azalea plants and Moss as we come along the pathway I think it’s nice to have a feature so I’ve created this little statue now he’s Quite cute but if you’re creating a castle or a city you might like to create something like a warrior statue I wanted to add a little built element to either side and it also ties in the stone brick we’ve got in the path so I’ve created these ruined walls and then My pathway continues along you can see here the common theme for all these Pathways to achieve a really professional look is to have lots of texture so always look for material for your pathway where you have a few different blocks with the same color tone so here we’ve got some granite and Polished granite bricks and then some terracotta you can see from above here the nice clean lines of this pathway and if you were working in a larger build project perhaps in a castle you can have Pathways coming off from either side of this circle if you’re creating a far more country Style project or perhaps even a medieval build this kind of pathway might be right for you you can see the pathway itself is quite simple using some dirt path some corset and then I’ve got some oak wood planks and stairs I’ve then used buttons here as little Stones Tumbled on the edges of the pathway I’ve put some plantings here of Wheat and this gives it a really rustic feel and I’ve hidden my water underneath some trapdoors to give the whole feeling a nice rustic look I’ve used broken up Spruce fences which go around both the path and the Little Farms I’ve got some oak trees planted and I’ve let things become a little overgrown with some flowers dotted here and there some tall grass and some regular grass and once again I’ve kept with a nice big sweeping curve here that works well for these more rustic style Of pathways now you can also add some build features along this kind of pathway that work with the farm theme so I’ve got a little trough here or you could add in perhaps a well or some lanterns Here we have a more structured kind of path with this Japanese cherry blossom style walkway path itself I’ve created geometric design and I’ve put some water in it for its tranquil feel I’ve used a mixture of stone blocks here and mixed in a little bit of andesite For the texture you can see here how the pressure plates add a little bit of Dimension to the pathway as we walk along on either side of the pathway I have little sections of sand and gravel this has allowed me to plant some nice tall bamboo which I’ve got staggered at different heights I’ve got a mixture of lanterns here these smaller ones which will always be not and these ones here are Redstone lamps that’ll turn on when it’s night As we come along further we’ve got a wonderful Japanese Tori gate if you’d like to see some tutorials on how to create this size or some largest Tori Gates make sure you leave a comment down below and I’ve also created a feature of this pathway using some custom-built cherry Trees now these are small cherry trees to fit in with this scale of the path you could also go ahead and add some larger ones along the pathway to tie in the pink of the cherry blossoms I’ve added in some of these peonies and the whole pathway flows in To a nice cohesive color palette from above you can get a good feel for the pattern here you can also see that this pathway is five blocks wide now I’d like to try and aim to have my pathway is either three or five blocks wide or Seven if I’m working with a larger build by going with a path width that has a one block sender it allows you to have buildings with one block centers above them and make a focal point of the center of the pathway This next pathway has a really magical Whimsical design so the features here are wisdom amethysts so I wanted to create something that felt like you were walking within a geode as you come along the pathway which is created using some Stone and some andicide as well as some Light gray concrete powder I’ve created these small geodes but the amethyst just bursting out of them I wanted to create an architectural feature with this Archway here and I’ve used the cobblestone as well as some mossy cobblestone to bring in a lush green color to carry in the magical theme that these Geodes and the calcite bring I wanted to keep my planting magical as well so I’ve got these nether plants I’ve got these twisting Vines and these warped roots and I’ve staggered the twisting Vines using the string trick to get them at different heights to carry that blue through to the rest Of the build we’ve got some matching blue lanterns and then I wanted to add an extra magical element with these swirly lights above some of the amethyst patches to create these I’ve just used some glass panes and some end rods so not only are these pretty but they will have A wonderful illuminated glow at night pathway I’ve gone with a curved design which has allowed me to put things like these geode features in the corners and it means I can have a more organic shape with things like my Arch as they curve around the edges So here are some ideas and tips for creating your own Pathways and for adapting these designs to fit with your build you want to choose blocks that are cohesive from where the path leads to to the build that the path leads to want to try and use several blocks to Have the same color palette to create lots of texture like we have over there with the bricks and the granite you can use a mixture of stairs buttons trapdoors pressure and pressure plates to add dimension you use a mixture of built and natural elements to frame your pathways And you’re making the walkway a destination in itself by adding these sorts of things like seating and archways and gazebos you can use blocks in unconventional ways when creating Pathways like by using some of the concrete powder to create a path and it’s always fun to play with Lighting this both makes that your pathway usable during the night and it makes it atmospheric it’s also important to think about the purpose of your pathway you wouldn’t want an overgrown pathway leading up to a grand Castle so instead you would want something a little bit more structural And planned you could then perhaps have a more overgrown pathway leading off to some of the townhouses in your medieval city or you might like to have smaller versions of the main pathway if you are creating a large industrial style City so now you’ve got
