Hey everyone in this minecraft tutorial i’m going to show you how to hide redstone circuits to open and close the door so the standard way of chucking a circuit in simple ways get your redstone dust slap it on the floor so we just got redstone that we mined Bang it over from the daughter lever jobs are good works cool and you go great that is good but if this was real life and that was electric current i might be like zapping myself if i weren’t walking around him all the rubber slippers i was just walking around barefooted Yeah yeah yeah now you would think it would be relatively simple just to i don’t know move this down a little bit and then chuck a bit of a floor on top wouldn’t ya wouldn’t ya well my friends i’m here to tell you no it’s not so let’s just prove that to you So we’re going to start we’re going to yes i am a smart minecrafter so i’m going to go here i’m going to dig one down i’m just going to scrap that bit of redstone just so it doesn’t get confused with the circuitry let’s just chuck that out away we know how that works So i’m gonna slap me a bit of redstone there and you know what i’m just gonna i’m just confident you know surely this is simple we’ll just do that you know and then we’ll just pop this along here like so okay cool that’s that’s gonna work that’s cool And what we’re gonna do is cover it right so you can see just a little bit thing there so you go yeah put my little block on top oh now that’s not quite quite gonna do it really for a door is it it’s uh can’t really get through my door now hello Maybe if i have a double door i can you know go through here but that kind of defeats the point of my lever okay now you may go aha but i have one of these i have me a stone color and i have cut myself some stone slabs because i’m a Smart guy because that’s not quite half a block cause it looks teeny weeny really really so i’m just gonna go here and i’m gonna go nah i’m gonna oh oh so now we’re in trouble because the deeper you go the less likely this is to affect the door So what is the solution well let’s go down deeper and let’s see what happens they love minecraft giving you these brain brain pain brain pain man so we go here i’m gonna go right there’s the door and then we’ll lay it here okay so we’ll lay that there circuit like That now i’ve got a bit of the circuit i’ve done to this other lever here and it’s directly under the other circuit you go cool it’s lit up oh my door has not done anything okay so maybe if we dig there and we stick another bit there oh he’s still not done it What is wrong no no cigar so there is one more thing you need to know to get this to work okay and it is the mighty redstone torch so you’re gonna put the redstone torch there and you’re gonna go aha the door is open marvelous so we’re gonna go back here And we’re gonna go to our little lever and we’re going to go like this that didn’t know it didn’t work so why is that not working you can see that the power to the redstone torch or this little line of dust that we’ve got is not doing a great deal So this is because things are running a bit back to front and weirdly if you have it on the same level you ain’t gonna get the solution that you need so the solution is this all right get rid of that one dig down once more can you believe All of this just to hide a circuit better off just keeping your circuit electrocuting your feet really wouldn’t you um and we put it there now bizarrely what we should find is if we go here yay and then what you can do is you can hide this gigantic mess can You imagine if you had to do this in real life houses we’d need like massive sellers to do everything but now we’ve hidden a little circuit like so and we have our special open door and the only downside of this is the lever operators back to front I don’t know why but this is the best i could come up with you with you for you to hide the circuit if you’ve got a better solution point me to it and i will certainly have a look and learn for it the other thing i would love you to Solve for me is i don’t know at the minute how to operate both doors from one circuit that would be cool but no matter what i try i’ve tried editing another torch under here and it doesn’t doesn’t work so if you can solve that one for me give me an Example movie follow up i will give you some respect for solving my headache i’m just starting to play around with redstone but at least i’ve got one door with a hidden circuit if that was useful to you give us a thumbs up please that’s much appreciated any comments Most welcome as well let me know other things that you’re struggling with with minecraft i will do my best to help with tutorials and uh yeah if you like this sort of stuff please subscribe to my channel and help me grow it thank you so much Video Information

Redstone has a huge number of uses in Minecraft, but the way it works is downright bizarre in many cases. Even something as simple as hiding a circuit under the floor is far more convoluted than you’d expect.
I am showing this tutorial in 2021 on an Xbox Series X with Minecraft 1.17, but the principles should be the same on any platform.
Hopefully my tutorial helps you figure out how to hide redstone circuits under the floor in your bases.
