Minecraft Java and Bedrock Seeds Are Almost Identical Now…

Right over here we’re going to visit a couple times but right over in this general spot inside of the forest it’s a really nice seat at world spawn we have a forest so there’s a couple tree types there we have the spruce forest thing right there with a lot of snow gigantic

Frozen wasteland right there we could boat on that that would be cool an island right there which is even nice a small island there too big hill these hills are so amazing and then moving over this way the giant taiga the mega tiger right over here more forest i

Think that’s a planes biome maybe an ocean over there i don’t know but look at him as such a nice world seat hi it’s me still now we’re over on bedrock edition and this is a really really good seed like look at this place it’s calming it’s peaceful gigantic mountain

There’s an island there’s forests all over the place uh there’s some cool stuff right there big taiga it’s pretty nice now actually this time world spawn inside of this world is gonna be missing well it’s fine i can’t be stopped we’ll get there one way or another uh world

Spawn inside of this world is actually this spot right here inside of the tiger forest but actually if you were paying attention to this video like a minute ago then this seed should look pretty familiar to you believe it or not this is actually the same exact seed on

Better arch edition that we were just looking at in java now world spawn is a little bit different there are some structures that are slightly different but it’s the same seed this is big stuff but you don’t have to take my word for it just in case you

Don’t believe me uh go into the settings over here we have the world seed right there one five two two nine six seven eight seven six jumping back over to this version of the game the world seed one five two two nine six seven eight seven six

It’s the same world the exact same world except world spawn is in a different spot and there are some subtle differences for some reason this gigantic change was only mentioned indirectly in the latest bedrock beta changelog but check this out our guy henrik we’re working hard to get java

And bedrock world gen as close to parity as possible and for what i’m seeing here today like this is the closest i’ve ever seen like it’s wild interesting test so right now i’m at 32 96 negative 32 inside of java edition looking straight ahead uh whatever direction this is this is what i’m

Looking at over on bedrock same exact spot look at how similar this is the mountain is right there the island is down there the snow area is over there it’s all here now actually turning this way a little bit we have a plane’s bomb in a forest and then turning a little

Bit more there’s a dark oak forest over there really really good seed here and then the tiger bio going back over to java different time of the day but basically the same exact thing look at this the hill is there the forest is there the forest is there

However this forest is not there okay actually no i lied a little bit the forest is still here the render distance is just insane i’m better our condition completely forgot about that one but the forest is here the dark oak forest however there is one gigantic thing

Missing on java edition that bedrock has that is really really cool heading back over this way we have the mega tiger it’s a very very cool looking biome it’s nice over to bedrock and basically we have the most cursed generation that i’ve ever seen or some of it we have an

Outpost inside of a village like literally outpost inside of a village uh taking over the structure kind of maybe i don’t know exactly how well this is going to work out for the villagers but i’ll post literally right inside of the village but on java both of these things

Are completely missing as of last week’s snapshot and bedrock beta world seeds got a huge upgrade they are now closer to each other than they’ve ever been before which is a really really good thing uh however they are still not exactly the same and that’s insanely cursed looking

Uh huh well i guess that’s not the biggest problem this village has so seeds are closer than they’ve ever been before because of some of the changes that have been implemented the mountains generate similarly the biomes generate similarly however they are not exactly identical so check out this area over

Here mega taiga uh it’s like a cave and we have a tree growing inside of it we go inside of the cave and it is a cave and it it turns into a lush cave it’s a very very nice cave back over on java clearly we’re completely missing both

The outposts and the village from this spot they just didn’t generate there and then over here the cave it does exist here but generation has changed a little bit so truth placement right off the bat that’s completely different there would be a tree right there on better

Architecture and then moving into it the lush cave is still here but it begins a little bit sooner it spreads closer to being outside of the cave going inside of the cave it’s still the same however check out this over here uh this stone patch right there it’s all stone on java

This is some of the tiniest thing in the world that i’m talking about here but nothing gets past me not a single detail the tree is right there that’s a different spot the lush cave starts at a different spot and then if we go back here to this wall instead of being all

Stone it’s stirred in granite okay so i know it’s not a big deal but i’m just pointing out the generation is similar but it’s not identical seeds will still be a little bit different on each version of the game now honestly uh when i was setting up for this video i

Thought this was gonna take a little bit of time i was trying to make a world you know find the same seed on both versions of the game but this was literally my first seat like i got really really lucky like i usually do with this 1.18 generation and got the identical seed

Right off the bat will it happen again let’s find out so this time i’m going to make the seed on java edition first i actually made the seed on bedrock first for the last one we’re going to go ahead and just leave all of this stuff alone

And go with a completely random seat entirely blank here create the world the goal here is pretty simple take the exact same seat that number right there put it on bedrock and see how similar it is on java we spawn at this spot right here negative 230 negative 37 and we’re

In a metal bottle really really peaceful it looks like over here we have uh an interesting forest generation thing happening we have birch forest cutting up a dark oak forest absolute alpha of a river right here swedish river immaculate the fjord is perfect it cuts past

A really icy mountain over there in the distance the forest the plains biome alpha swedish river continues wrapping around the meadow spawn mountain island and more forest forest everywhere but will it actually work over here on bedrock so to my understanding bedrock seeds work a little bit better on java

Seats than the other way around it might not work but it definitely won’t work if we don’t turn this on we need to turn caves and cliffs experiment on i’m gonna turn all these other ones on just in case will we get lucky and get the same world

Or are we unlucky unlucky definitely unlucky this is not starting good is there anything familiar at all nero’s uh gigantic ocean no uh village uh why are you here is that planes really i mean it’s a nice-looking village but i don’t understand why it’s here desert ocean

Rivers and nothing nothing is the same so seed parity is clearly not perfect yet let’s try another world java seed number three we’ll try it again the exact same way except this time that’s the world seed we’re using this is world spawn inside of this world right now i

Don’t expect world spawn to be exactly the same on battle architecture that’s the seat uh this is a nice scene this is a really really good looking seat whoa that’s cool how that generated planes bomber there forest yeah that’s a nice scene okay okay this is promising this

Is really promising right off the bat a plane’s biome okay nice uh huh flowers uh forest oh this is it this is it it worked it worked that mountain i knew right away there we go it actually worked and look at the village is in the same spot too it actually looked a

Little cooler on java but it worked now i’m not sure if it’s relevant or not i’m not the most techy person but to recreate this i used the number and saw the words the words are great too though the seed is the same basically so right off the bat the big significant

Noticeable things the terrain the biome placement seems pretty similar dark oak forest on this hill big cave inside of the hill over here gigantic hill and look at this this time a village here too so this time it actually seemed like we might have spawned in the same spot

Too in this world on bedrock i spawned a negative 129 70 negative 132. now it doesn’t have to be exactly perfect but if it’s in relatively the same area then we have the same spawn block uh it’s not in the same area but i mean then again

It is kind of close on bedrock we spawned right over there in the field so is that big mountain that i whoa this is like tons of villages over here but this is a big mountain here too there was a giant yeah uh huh yep big mountain there

The seed parody worked so basically the seed passed the first vibe check the second vibe check is going to be on this mountain right here we have a drip stone cave bomb peeking out of the mountain endermen inside of it is it all going to

Be the same to test this out we need to go to village mountain right over here now real quick on bedrock this time we’re missing a village unlike the first time where jabba was missing the village the village isn’t here so it seems the structures don’t always generate in the

Same spot on both versions of the game and actually look at this it’s all opposite so this time instead of the biome being more tucked inside of the cave on better rock it spills out a little more the only thing we’re missing is the enderman from this thing

Otherwise it would be identical and it also looks like we have a same cutthroat inside of this mountain very very interesting cave shape in here but on java i could see light at the other side of this thing and look at this it cuts right through the village dark oak

Forest has the same cool looking mountain overhang thing test number three this island it will determine it all i’m not gonna get too exact and count the blocks but how similar is the shape and are trees still there or does the island not exist at all the island

Is right by world spawn between the two versions world generation seems to be a lot closer now but it’s definitely not exactly the same island is now actually an island this time it’s completely cut off from the land and the trees are placed completely differently i never cared about the tree’s exact placement

That much though interestingly there is one dark oak tree uh both times on the island uh this time it’s right there on java it’s over there i think that’s just a coincidence thing but check this out right here on java this gets completely cut off with like a ravine cave carver

Thing cutting through there minor generation and structure placement differences aside these two worlds are actually pretty similar and that’s cool comparing seed generation between the latest beta and snapshots seems to work out pretty well sometimes other times it doesn’t at all that’s it for today’s

Video i think it would be super cool if by the time minecraft 1.18 releases world seeds are pretty much the exact same on java and bedrock those minor differences are fine but like pretty much the same biome placement land formations i think that’s a good thing
