Minecraft Legends: New Update Improvements & Questions!

Hello and welcome to the legendary world of Minecraft Legends this is the legends of Minecraft podcast and this is third and final talking about the biggest update Kaboom are you ready I am ready out I just cannot believe that we have three almost complete podcasts on this thing

And that’s not even stretching it out like the Riders did with the second version of The Hunger Games I mean people this this is serious stuff here we even got a mini patch inside of after the last one so between the recordings of this one and the one

Before and we even got some questions for us to answer here at the end I mean that’s amazing that is we can’t even get through the first update without them sending out a second one so yeah no this is awesome this is really good and I think today’s podcast

Uh we’re going to be focusing on some of the patch notes and some of the general game improvements and I think these are all over I mean these are all really really uh important things and changes to the game and um so Hound did you want

To start us off with the first uh General game improvement sure the first one is pathf finding like creepers not detonating on walls it’s like okay creepers we’re going to walk over to the wall and just stand there uh yeah perfect so many times I’ve sent my

Creepers in to make a pathway and they just look at me and I’m like this is awkward you’re you’re not doing what I told you to do Doo so yeah this is really good I think it will make Creepers more usable and overall I think

Um it really you know later on like so creepers in my mind have always been the thing that should get you into the base quicker uh if you choose to Tech up that way and so if they’re not willing to do what they were kind of designed to do

Well that kind of ends up being an issue exactly oh man I I’m just so glad that uh it’s it’s not just a party along the wall anymore it’s not just a photo shoot they actually do something right so I wonder uh yeah that that’s really uh that’s interesting to

Me when I think about like the creeper clash and some of the other uh scenarios where creepers were being used if this uh became more of an issue in uh different things the thing I would really love to see creepers blow up is piglin walls um so I know getting

Through those things can always be uh tricky without the Redstone Cannon or Redstone launcher and I wanted to just say something else if anybody hears me say the wrong word like Redstone Cannon instead of redstone launcher I put that in the comments below and call me out on

That because I’m trying to work on this I’ve noticed that I’ve uh in some of my games I’ll say things and people are like what are you talking about and I’m like oh I’m sorry I’m completely using the wrong wrong name for the thing so please let me know guys in the comments

Below well you’ll still be lucky if I don’t instead of calling it The Carpenter Hut it’s still the Healy thingy to me so feel free to correct me yeah the he thingy are the rly py right so the next one is type select improvements overhauled the type select

Interference by moving it down to the hot bar unit types are separated by category options are now clear in terms of selecting all down to selecting a specific unit type interesting yeah um I don’t know how much this is used in campaign mode but in PvP this is a game changer and the

Reason why I say that and I kind of just made a whole video on this so I recommend watching it I’ll give you the short version so I don’t uh go on for 10 minutes but Micro engagements and the ability to micromanage your troops was the thing

This game lacked and it’s the thing that this gives to the game and I’ve seen this use in uh situations on attacking bases where I want to keep my plank golems with me or my skeletons and I want to send my cobbles ahead of me and as this

Progresses and as players get uh used to this using this um you’ll have situations where depending on who moves their troops in and out of a of a distance of the skeletons or who engages from a certain uh location you could you like this is what I imagine if somebody

Has 40 skeletons and they’re micromanaging their skeletons in and out of of attack distance to whittle down the Army’s troops and just that type of precision in uh combat makes this game uh takes it to a whole different level right which is really good that’s I’m personally like I probably

Don’t understand that as well but if it helps it helps right right yeah yeah I like in campaign mode I this probably is not um as big of a thing but in the PVP when you’re interacting with other humans this is really really going to play a big role in that in those

Engagements and I have had some conversations with people on this and some people were upset about the change cuz they had learned um the other method but when you’re in a situation being able to make a like make your troops do what you want them to do uh T of seconds

Matter and that’s really where I think this the strategy and game level of where you have and I think you see this in a lot of games like with fortnite and stuff like that where the where the pros it’s that Split Second That split tenth of a second difference between a pro and

A novice and that is what makes the best players the best and I think that’s what people as these changes happen people will be like oh you know I’m going to go watch this person’s gameplay and and see how they their troops in and how they organize their troops and uh so other

Than a couple push backs of hey I learned the old way the old way the issue with it was you had to remove your fingers off of the ZX C and V keys if you’re playing on keyboard and move them up to different keys to engage uh the the ability to

Send your troops well you don’t have to do that anymore you can keep your fingers and in the same location and then move it by engaging banner mode and man again hands off to whoever came up with that this is really really awesome streamlining uh of the overall hot Bar

Locations and abilities of the troops and with that I will stop I I think I said something about not going on a rant I think I may have just went on a rant so my apologies well for me for PVP I’m not sure how much it is though a help

You know for me I’m always looking at the different things in the menu and just sitting there reading the description saying what do I want I don’t have it as memorized cuz I don’t need to because the campaign is longterm but I’m glad it does help for that uh

PVP there yeah definitely and you know H there are some people I think storm Lander and uh the epic gamer uh they want you to get into PVP I need I need to so we got to set that up we got to set up a big uh

4v4 as long as it’s not hardcore PVP then I’m good not that anything bad’s ever happened with uh that before but what’s not bad is the banner VI Improvement that was such a good transition they added a visual indicator in the banner vote uh Banner View mode

On how to exit the mode I didn’t know this was a problem I thought that the Escape key was kind of a universal key that meant Escape but it’s a good thing that you know how to get out of it yeah yeah that I I never ran into

That issue either so I was a little surprised by this one but you know they did improve um oh you know what I actually I won’t talk about we might get into it here in a minute but yeah uh Banner Banner View Improvement uh just overall I feel like has gotten better

And better so from some of the earlier upgrades so I really like what they’re doing with that and uh yeah Ju Just that they’re they’re making sure that that’s working well because that is a a very key part in the overall game of being able to control your troops definitely I

Wasn’t one of the last updates like not this last major update but the update before that they added uh he structures into that Banner View mode and that’s just so cool it adds a whole another level so making everything around that a bit easier a bit streamline it’s it

Helps it’s nice and I would love them I they were I think they should add troop health bars and uh opponent health bars because I really think there that information is important and at least in PvP it is uh more on the other team than the piglin bastions the pig they’re nice the

Piglin bastions are nice that the health bar is nice but I want to know the guy who’s attacking me where their health is at if they’re low and usually I can tell because they start running away so it’s like when you’re in that hand toand combat you just don’t know and then it’s

Almost like a game of chicken where you’re just hoping that next hit kills them and they’re hoping their next hit kills you and it’s like the first person to run the first person to take off in the other direction the other person’s like oh he’s a low on health I know

Where he’s at and it’ll chase him down and so I also think that if you were to add health bars to your troops it may help you want to get uh use the Golem the healing the mossy Golem more than what’s what than what it’s used now

And I really found that little sucker very uh helpful in the newest lost Legends um when pigs fly because you have the limited resources and you had to make your resources last uh unlike in some of the other modes and so I really think that that healer that Mossy Golem

Could be uh like if you’re sitting there and you know the enemy’s going to see the life and the health of your troops and yourself you’re going to want to be fully maxed out on your health versus having all your troops with half their health so it it really lets you know

What you’re engaging gives you more inform information overall so I don’t know what are your thoughts on that I I love that I mean anything anything that they can do to help that cuz right now I don’t you know like at least the you know structure kind of have different

Breaking stages but your different uh mobs really don’t it’s like ooh it’s a mob and it might it might be dead in one hit it might be dead in 10 hits you don’t know that would oh Hound that is so cool I never thought of

That uh what what if the mobs had like the Iron Golem uh destruction uh progression that’d be nice I mean some of those mobs though they are kind of small Golems so how much can they really put in without making it look too obscure but that

Would be cool for like some of at least the bigger ones like the firsts oh yeah yeah yeah yeah that would I think that would be awesome cuz then you could visually look at your enemy troops on your enemy side and then you take that information in and be like oh they’re

All one hit away from death but I I love that it would help like you said strategize it’s like like should I go for the big guy on the left that is almost crumbled to bits or should I go to the small one on the right that’s going to take me out sooner

Then I take it out like yeah that’s awesome yeah um well uh to the next one is unit RPS and difficulty tuning campaign and PVP improvements so RPS combat balancing okay I’m just going to say this is a great step in the right direction I’m going to go and read but

There’s there’s a lot here I feel like needs to be worked through also so uh I’ll take the first point um so continued mob and piglin combat balancing to improve the Strategic decisions making and rewards players when they choose correctly uh and better communicates when they choose a bad mob composition Okay so

And then they’re going to go into some difficulty levels at Fable difficulty if a player chooses a favorable mob composition versus a piglin they will be more readily rewarded and win a battle quicker than before while losing fewer mobs UNF difficulty choosing an unfavorable mob composition is a bit

More punishing now and rewards strategic thinking so much excuse me so make sure you are paying attention to what mobs are good versus Pacific piglins okay so what are those better rewards though other than winning what is the and reward Strate like I don’t maybe I’m does that mean you just think

Of it wrong yeah I mean it says more readily rewarded and win a battle it’s like um I think the winning the battle is the reward there I don’t think going to give you a million dollars for choosing the right things but well you know what now that you’re

Saying that do you think killing a piglet oh man okay this is just a thought if you killed a mace piglin with a plank Golem would you get more lapis H that’ be interesting yeah or versus if you killed so if you killed a mace Golem with a

Range unit versus a melee unit is the amount of lapis dropped different I don’t know kab sounds like we have some testing to do oh my gosh because yeah like you said what’s the other than winning the battle what’s the reward is it more is it more lapis

Are you getting I mean that’s the only or maybe prismarine might also depends on how you take the building out yeah interesting H well if you guys are interested uh be sure to like And subscribe to this podcast because we’re going to do some science and hopefully

All this it’s like you know hey guys here’s our build strategy at this minute mark this should be built this amount of prison Marine should be collected this amount of lapis should be spent um and that working together with other players man is a totally different

Game and I highly recommend people uh if you are interested in that uh um we have a Discord server called um Minecraft or is it MC Legends that’s what it’s called and you can jump on there and be like hey guys I’m looking for people to play

With and we will get you hooked up with people and um I’m sorry Hound I don’t mean to keep plugging a bunch of stuff but I just want people to know there’s ways to get in contact with other people there’s ways I live stream uh Monday Wednesdays and Fridays

You can come that’s another way you can get hooked up with other good players and we’re just working at building this community building the the the Strategic uh uh plans that you can have with other players that you’ve played with and that way you just you’re not at

Your base uh deconstructing you know four uh Improvement pillars while while that while that player should be out doing some other role in the game so anyways that if you guys are interested I highly recommend checking that out go and um uh you know well I was going to say you could

Also just leave a comment in this on this podcast and just say hey I’m interested in uh getting plugged in with the community and we will uh figure out a way to do that definitely well turning up the dial a bit there is now difficulty tuning Fable difficulty the standard

Difficulty has been updated by the unit RPS changes above so the change makes Fable difficulty more strategic at launch it says in parentheses you will need to pay closer attention to counters and have a mixed mob comp position they don’t want you to just run in with an

Entire pile of cobblestone Golems they want you to have a whole bunch of they want you to bring an entire Zoo along they want you to have a whole bunch of things to help you win so have you experienced this at all in have you had a chance to run into

This cuz I I was I was playing around with this a little bit but um you know in PvP you by the time you get to that point in the game you’ve usually collected all your prismarine so this is not something that I feel like really affects I’ve not seen it really affect

PVP have you seen any big effects in the campaign mode you know not really as a player myself I haven’t really experienced too much watching other people play it I haven’t seen much there maybe there’s something deep down going under cuz I personally I always have you

Know a few different things with me cuz I like skeletons but I’ve really gotten into using more creepers and things like that so I always kind of do have a mixed Bunch anyway so maybe there’s something kind of hidden underneath that’s going on that I just simply haven’t noticed anyway so yeah interesting

Yeah that’s uh are you uh planning on doing another uh campaign series once you get through the one you’re currently in and are you do you think you’ll go back and try to play excuse me you know that’s a that’s a good question I’ve honestly been thinking about it cuz I’ve now been

Getting closer and closer you know to the end and now with like the new updates we’ll get into this later with a question but with the new updates you know not really being in your old campaign world it’s like it does make a good AR argument to do it again but

Personally for my world I’m going to probably not do like a longterm series like I did with this last one but I might take a page out of your book and do some uh try and do I should say some streams with it doing runs that way too

So opening up different ways so I can continue doing other things on my main Channel too so oh nice I’m definitely going to be running it again I just don’t know how will be if it will just be to myself if I will be streaming it I

Don’t know how I will present it to viewers if at all but I will definitely be doing it some more awesome that’d be cool um you know and that is something else I’ve noticed since these updates have been coming out uh I’ve noticed a lot more content hitting uh YouTube on Legends I

Don’t know if you’ve been getting that in your feet or not I uh have my account which is like the algorithm is probably 90% Legends and so anything legends that gets posted uh comes into my homepage and I I’m really surprised I’ve probably seen four to five new

Creators uh that are coming to Minecraft Legends for the first time and that is really exciting to me yeah it’s just a shame I’ve noticed some of the the content creators that started with Legends just really haven’t came back but it’s good to see some new ones

Coming up and taking some of those empty spots now which is really good the more the merrier yeah that’s that is awesome okay so should I go ahead and jump to PVP updates and improvements yeah it seems like the rest of the uh unit RPS

Is still talking about RPS so I think we covered that good enough yeah and I think I mean yeah I and I I I think I want to get in there and mess around maybe I think I want to do another playthrough on the with the new update and see cuz I

Usually plan on legendary mode unless I’m doing a speedrun um so I I would be really interested to see how this plays plays itself out yeah cuz for the for the truth with with doing these podcasts like this it’s like we’re literally just have the change log up we’re reading

Down the change log so unless we haven’t played tested with some of this stuff it’s really hard to talk about it so if we don’t really know what’s going on it’s really hard to say which is why you know we might not hit all of these the best or at all

So and so with the new PVP update improvements um reduce the protector Tower cost to make it more competitive option in defending stone cost reduced from 450 to 300 and iron cost is reduced from 2 to 150 now as a PVP player the The Protector Tower cost was not why I never

Used the protector Tower The Protector Tower was never used because it’s not big enough of an area I personally feel like this is a good change it’s not bad but if you want to make this used in game uh double the size eyes that it protects and you know

I would honestly love to see a protector tower that doesn’t um prevent all damage but adds like almost like a lava Shield over your main wishing well so that it was able to take three or four uh hits from a redstone Cannon so that your team had

More time to resp respond to the Redstone Cannon so I personally feel like there’s some definite definite issues still with the protector tower that really could be um worked out to be uh more to make it used in the game I’ve seen it used I’ve used it myself it’s just you

Know it’s just it I mean it’s just do I want to invest 200 iron in uh protector Tower or would I rather build a bunch of um grindstone Golems you know it’s like you you got to make decisions there and I feel like at the end of the day there’s just other

Decisions and unless you were to make it where it it didn’t it could take up to four hits or something and then after after that it it exploded and stopped working and the Damage that it protected everything from in a wider area was you know like 100% protection so you could

Like protect your whole base and give yourself more time to respond to a redstone uh launcher and you’re like oh it’s over here cuz that’s the biggest thing and then you know it’s like oh they have this huge fort so now they’re trying to keep their launch alive while

We’re trying to destroy the base they built so I feel like I feel like there’s more that could be done there H interesting I don’t know from an outside not main PVP player I think the cost would probably help I can see your point of the buff are it needing more of a

Buff but what about some of the other Tower type and things like that what about their costs and stuff too yeah um yeah so the other Towers they they don’t it’s hard to use those I’ll just be honest with you they’re just kind of weak honestly should we should we grab

The broom and the rug and just sweep it under I I love the I mean I unfortunately I just um you can go back and you can watch a we we did a 1 V one and my thought was if I use if I if I

Use these protector Towers if I use the power Towers if I use those Towers to to protect my base I could stop the Redstone Cannon launchers I could stop and it didn’t work I got rolled I got destroyed like in sec in minutes it was

It was it was just they just didn’t do anything and unfortunately uh you you got to have if you show up with some first of stone or you show up with just even Cobblestone Golems you can get in and you can take those Towers all out really quickly so

To make them really useful I really feel like they have to be stronger they need to have more life and and uh a bigger range of uh attack Maybe not maybe not strong maybe their attack’s not stronger because you don’t want them to on shot everything but you want them to be uh

Worth the investment so I would be interested what people thoughts on that are um but if I was if I wanted to make Power Towers I think you even mentioned this I had a video where it said uh are power Towers worth it and then basically the video is me getting destroyed like

Six power Towers getting destroyed and and the answer was no it was like no it just it doesn’t it cuz they later game and later game do I want first of stone or do I want a Power Tower and it’s like I’m I want first of stone so

I’m going to use those resources I’m going to get the first of stone and I’m going to show up and if you’ve built Towers power Towers I’m going to you know take those suckers out and like less than 15 seconds so right I personally think they’ve got to

Have what I would do personally is I would give um I would give them more health and I would allow them to be uh buffed by um the Looking Glass and maybe the Looking Glass doubles their range and so now you have a Power Tower that has more health and has twice the

Range and that’s going to make your enemy have to come in uh a little slower and it’s going to give them something more to fight with nice and that’s just my suggestion there’s a lot of things I mean there’s a lot of things that you could do um to to

Make the towers uh usable in the game well now Kaboom correct me if I’m wrong but as I’m reading down a lot of this list it’s things like from the sliders that we talked about last time are some of the main stuff that we actually talked about in the first one

So I don’t know if there’s anything else you want to pick out of this uh PVP updates and improvements yeah so the mounts are now oh you know here I’ll just go real quick through it I’m sorry Hound I feel like I’m doing all the talking on this one

Um so yeah so the next one is abundant La you know that that’s on your default bar that’s fine um I really think every player should have a customized hot bar uh personally grindstone Sal Golems take a little bit less damage from skeletons but the skeletons are snipers I

Personally think the grindstone Golems should take zero damage when they’re in roll mode and then when they come out of roll mode they get that confused look kind of like the armadillo does and so you’d have this window where they’re vulnerable so one at one animation they’re invincible

And at the next animation they take damage and so are at least highly reduced the damage that they are in roll mode the the grindstone Golems are one of the weakest if you’ve played wind pigs fly they just they’re you’re wasting your iron you’re wasting your time with them

They just get demolished they really need to rework that um you can refund warriors uh this thing this is really cool the public PVP match has gone from six players to four players um and I think I feel like we all the our community Hound I feel like we really

Played a a big part in that because we have a lot of 2v2 videos that uh I feel like maybe people at uh whoever is in charge was like oh yeah maybe this is doable that’s awesome but and I know I’ve heard you talk about this a lot

What what about One V ones though where where are One V ones at um we’re still in tesy mode we are we are in beta mode we have we have run some test and um I have a couple more thoughts but unfortunately uh if we make the aerot

Tower buff where they have all the enchantments you you just that’s all you want to build you just want to build those Arrow Towers everywhere they’re so powerful when you when they’ve when they’re given the the spy glass buff the kaboer buff uh the war drum buff they

Are deadly they they were like just destroying my first of Oak and the only thing the only Troop that could get through those was the first of stone so if you if you make the changes to keep the game interesting uh on One V one it it you

You change that aspect of the game and so I got to run some testing with Muhammad I ran some testing with parat and I think uh right now we’re still in that stage of figuring it out and if you guys have watched those videos anyone listening to this and you have thoughts

On how we can make 1 V one uh a possible thing I personally at this point feel like you’re going to have to change the mode um where you’re no longer on a mount or you’re going to have to have the ability to quickly go from your troops to the base

And be able to assess what’s happening at the base because that’s one of the things with that role of Builder is oh they’re they’re building this base over here I’m going to go engage that base and not let them set up that stronghold and so the Builder’s job

Is not just to build it’s also to make sure that they’re not setting up a redstone cannon on your front porch so if you’re not there to do that that as soon as you hear Redstone launcher which we actually disengage the Redstone launcher but once you realize you’re

Being attacked you get back to your base and they have it’s gone go ahead sorry bud it’s gone yeah yeah yeah exactly it’s you you you get back and you’re like they have this massive base with all these towers and so now now you’re unable to leave

Your base to go get resources or to attack their base and you know what um and tell me what you think about this Hound there’s an aspect of this game where maybe 1 V one doesn’t work maybe it never works maybe maybe that playing with other players is a flavor of this

Game which I really like which is honestly the thing I love about this game is the team aspect of this game um do you think maybe 1 V one is something they should try to make possible with a different mode or do you think it’s something they should just say you know

What that’s not the heart of this game you know I can really see both sides of that and with Minecraft Legends being structur uh being structured around so many different aspects it’s like you know the building the resource Gathering the this the that the this the more

People you have the easier it becomes if they did nothing and just implemented One V ones I mean those games could be come really long and they’d have to do something and you know maybe maybe there is a point to it’s like it’s it’s not worth it it’s not worth it for the

Player it’s not worth it for the people making the game like there’s just so much that has to be put into mind there so I could definitely see why they wouldn’t yeah yeah I mean I think I think we could make it workable but I feel like it would change the heart of

The game so so I think people would have to you know really you know would I want to sit down and play a 1 V one yes if there was a leaderboard if there was a mode that you know you were able to be in one

And I think that’s really where that God mode comes in little G god mode you’re up above everything looking down and you’re able to like just make your M make your view go from this part of the map to that part of the map in under a

Second so and so you’re like you’re checking you’re able to check your base why you’re troops are taking out a piglin Bastion and then you can jump back over and look and be like okay there’s nothing around my area and there’s a whole you know at that at that

Point in the game you’d have fog of War and the fog of War would then be over the map and then you would have uh the issue of your buildings would then have a radius that it gave off right yeah so it would it would change the game to

That degree would that be a fun game I’d love to play heck yes it would be but do I love the fact that you and all the other players that I play with that are on you know we get in and we get on a

Team and we work as a team is is that not an awesome aspect that is not found in any other game yeah I mean I don’t think I think on some other teams you know you’re you’re you you have some degree of that but to the depth of I’m

Expecting the Builder to be doing their job and our whole game wins or Falls and there that Builder is expecting me to do the prismer and harassment and the building and and everyone’s depending on Mineral resource Collections and we we are working as a team and if you have

One bad player on your team it it’s not just that they’re failing to do their their part of the the team they’re also hindering you and that is one of the reasons why it is so easy to troll in this game but at the same time it’s why

It when you have a good team that’s playing together it’s it’s it’s so incredible nice yeah I I a thousand times over agree with that um okay and so the last thing that I’ll just uh quickly say is that uh from this is the mirror modes which oh wait a

Minute did we talk about that last time I think we think I think that was part of the the toggles if there’s anything else you want to say about it go for it um oh no wait hold on there was one um the clangers the air Choppers deconstruction

Structure oh oh I’m sorry I I I said the wrong thing the mounts the mounts are on the world map now which has really helped to to be able to help each uh player and I think uh you you posted something on that recent Twitter Twitter post from Minecraft legends about it was

Almost like the horoscopes of the mounts right yes that was an interesting post that uh the official account had about what what each uh Mount says about you or something like that yeah and I was like I I think I my response was like you know are you

Trying to say this is like Mount horoscope I’m like I take the mount that works best to my to what I’m doing in the game it’s like you know every Builder I know gets a beetle every uh every uh person who is you know attacking is going to go for the tiger

To move around the map quicker and collect prismarine um every flexible role and if none of the other options are available the bird is a great option um and then you’re stuck with the horse and then the Frog I’m so really curious have you found any special things that you

Can do with the Frog other than the the double jump I I like that keyword special the frog is cool it almost like combines the bird and the beetle but special I’d say there’s not much too unique yeah so I I hope to see more maybe somehow some way added to

It yeah yeah me too I would love to see Buffs added to the player from the mounts I would love to see that well what was it that when it when the Frog was like first just like text on a screen that we talked about months ago

We had like talked about the frog licking the piglins up like that would be so cool for a mount to do though yeah that would I mean if they ate the piglins and then you know uh had a Frog Light yeah you got a Frog Light yeah you

Got some special uh resource or uh maybe yeah yeah that that would be just so much you could do it’s really awesome but that’s all I had for that hound and um that leaves game play bug fixes which they are bug fixes and I I’ve kind of

Looked them through here and I’m not seeing anything that I necessarily want to point out okay um well the first one the stone masons um I’m really excited about this one uh I was running it was really weird like half your base would get upgraded and the

Other half wouldn’t did you ever run right like I noticed it when I don’t know if this is like the same bug fix but when I had uh left an area like I’d put a stone Mason down and then immediately left and then I’d come back

And it just hadn’t switched over yet I don’t know if that’s the same thing but uhhuh yeah yeah that’s it yep are do you mean like like things were not getting upgraded right it’s almost like the part of the World though wasn’t loaded in cuz once I came back of

Course it would load in so might not be the same bug actually oh okay yeah well I was in campaign mode and I was building uh a bunch of aot towers around uh wishing well and I had them all upgraded but like I would I’d build a stonemason and it should have upgraded

Everything but the buildings weren’t upgrading and so then I would build uh another one and it wouldn’t upgrade and then it looks like it was being affected by the spy glass the caboomer and the battle drum so I thought that was very very interesting um yeah so I’m glad that got fixed

And the next one is the Redstone launcher you know there were some issues there that’s kind of uh you know if you just jumped out and got back in to the the screen it it you know when you’re getting hit with a sword which is one of the ways to

Fend off a redstone launcher is to hit the person who’s trying to access the the launcher itself you know I I personally would love them I would I personally would like them to make it harder to you like if you’re getting if you’re taking any damage at all you

Can’t access that Redstone launcher and I think that would make it you have you you played a campaign or a lost Legends where you’re trying to open the cages and the oh my gosh that’s annoying it’s like there’s only maybe one Tower or one pigon left that’s just throwing that one

Thing occasionally at you and you think surely I can open it surely I can open it it’s like oh but you can’t you can’t until that one big one’s gone yeah I I think they should add that to the Redstone launcher in PvP mode with like an 8sec

Load um so you have to be taking no damage for 8 seconds to get the Redstone launcher to to Fire and then once you get into firing mode then you can’t be knocked out of it so a little more of a a risk reward there and this could be

Controversial mean maybe people think I’m crazy for saying this I don’t know maybe I maybe I am a little crazy for saying but you know when the Redstone launcher is so powerful and it’s you know you know such an easy way to win the game Heck if you’re going to keep it

In the game make make people work for that shot I I like that theory I worry that it might become a bit of a worthless item like let’s say you’re trying to do something really close and or like for I’m picturing it in PvP mode you’re targeting your enemy’s base you’re right

There and then here comes like that one piglin it’s not even something that the other player is doing but here comes that one piglin and you know it’s just enough to throw you off could it become a bit annoying too definitely yeah I yeah definitely I

Think it I definitely think it could be but I mean just the the risk reward for that thing man the reward side is just so high I mean you can you can literally take out uh an opponent’s all their improvements with one volley of shots it’s just

That’s true yeah yeah so to me it’s like you know you got to fight for it but if you get it then it’s so powerful um other than you know so but you you do have a point it’s like you know oh that you know one but in my mind

I’m like that one hero skeleton that’s targeting the player from being able to set off that Redstone launcher and win the game it’s like right um so yeah did you have you were saying you know I did a video on the The arot Towers um this this is a good fix um I

Think it’s a good balancing issue and makes the aot towers more skill-based instead of just Spam based right I I yeah so I didn’t I I didn’t know if you’d seen anything with that as far as the Walmarts go and stuff no I I guess I had not noticed

That and then I think another big one for people is the deconstructing the flame of creation upgrade no longer refunds too many cores so that was a huge thing and um were you familiar with that Hound I am not my only guess from reading that bug

Report is that it gave you more than what it was supposed to but I I that’s the I have no idea do you remember did you watch any of the videos where I had like 400 versus 100 are any of the live streams were like all of a sudden we’re getting 120

And 140 troops oh yeah yeah so this is the bug that that people were doing in game to allow them to to break mob cap oh and so yeah so it looks like they fixed that and there have been there literally were videos where I played a

Game and I had I didn’t do it myself but somebody on my team did did this bug to where we had 400 troops and I took that video I sent it to uh Minecraft Legends and was like guys you cannot play a game like this because if you you show up and

Your opponent is able to you know have 20 40 more troops than you their DPS is off the charts so I’m super excited about um this change this is one of those really big changes that I don’t think a lot of people realize how big of an issue this

Half an hour has been Kaboom story time so please let’s let us hear something yes please take over so question number one out of three from saor is so kind of referring back to our first podcast about the update which would have been what uh this is 19 so it would

Have been 17 for anyone who cares um he ask what’s your thoughts on the fact that you can’t get the new stuff on already started campaigns now he says in his opinion I think it’s pretty dumb for a campaign game expecting you to just restart every

Time now a thousand times over there I agree that that it’s downright stupid but here goes story time so grab the popcorn everybody so I’m going to take it away uh starting with Minecraft just vanilla Minecraft this is Minecraft Legends don’t sue me this this is something I’ve been doing recently which

I’ve found fun is I’ve been playing with the way chunks work in Minecraft again it’s been a while since I did it before and with the new updates to Cave generation new biomes being being added I always like to go back and play with um you know biomes and the way they work

Well in Minecraft regular you get a brand new feature in a snapshot or in a full release guess what all you have to do is keep walking in One Direction and you’re eventually going to find that thing well here’s the thing Minecraft worlds are infinite so I guess it makes sense that

You know Minecraft Legends it’s not infinite you can’t can’t just keep walking until you know quote unquote the new thing generates so I’m going to get back to that with the whole Minecraft story in a minute another thing though going with this is although Minecraft Legends isn’t infinite think about the way things

Spawn in you destroy uh pigin Bastion and maybe five more spawn in in the middle of while you’re doing that well why if if things can appear in your world that didn’t start there couldn’t some of the new things to and that’s my opinion of it starting

Off so another thing though is in Minecraft right now this is where the real story time starts um in regular Minecraft right now although you can walk infinitely I’ve been playing around with it’s called MCA selector I don’t know if you’re familiar with it kaboom I’m not but basically I can load

My world in this third party thing and delete old chunks this sounds super strange and sketchy it’s because it is right now I’ve been uh actually combining all my creative worlds of course cuz I have like thousands of creative worlds like you know maybe there was one snapshot that I built one

Thing on and I kind of like that thing so I never deleted the world but you know maybe that world only had three or four chunks worth of stuff and I was just keeping that one world so I’ve been copying Things Between Worlds which is how I’ve learned to play with this

Tool but at any rate I can actually go ahead and delete chunks if I know that there’s nothing important in an area I can delete it in Minecraft whatever version I’m in Minecraft will regenerate it with existing you know trying to match existing terrain but also putting

New stuff in it uh taking the cave update for example you know I slice out maybe it’s a circle in the middle smack dab in the middle of a world from 1.13 you know the update aquatic before there’s any new stuff in your world and

You go ahead and now in 1.20 you take a chunk right out in the middle of one of those new looking oceans and below the ocean you go ahead and now get a brand new Lush cave biome everything’s matching there’s still an ocean and you

Know now you get the new stuff below it well long story short I would love to see maybe um with a bunch of more modders out there someone could make a tool that you know maybe maybe you delete the corner of your village and have it respawn with the new witches

Tower or something right I feel like something could happen so there’s there’s two scenarios maybe either you know the player does some third party sketchy stuff to be able to p pump that new stuff into your world or maybe you know like I said if if piglin bastions can spawn out of the

Middle of nowhere into the middle of your world then I’d think some of this new stuff should spawn in too I don’t know Kaboom I that was like a half jumbled mess but what do you think of that no yeah that’s I I think oh well

Okay let’s see uh my first thought is I would love for Minecraft to open up Minecraft Legends to open up to modders like they did in other versions of Minecraft and I would think that that could be something where you could get not something that’s sketchy but someone who’s an

Affiliated someone who’s an Affiliated modder uh who could offer that and be like oh hey you know download this mod that allows you to uh build witches hut in campaign mode so I don’t think it’d be too difficult to do that it would just you know cuz they they’ve got those

Different things set up and I think it helps the community out overall and uh with with uh interest in the the game itself as always you know we’re always giving shouts out to mck Lee on this podcast because they uh have messed around with a lot of really cool stuff

That would really be neat in her uh put into the game um the other thing is the um the way they rolled out these updates I personally think that and this may sound crazy having a second campaign like having more of an add-on to the campaign so you

You beat the first campaign and you unlock the second campaign so then you you start off another like almost like a Minecraft Legends 2 and then in that campaign it’s it’s different than the first one it’s established all the first campaign lore and has the second part of the

Story and so I don’t know how difficult that would be so well I don’t know here’s something really cheesy that could easily be done um that it’s like you know Minecraft Legends takes place on an island so what could they do give you a boat you’re you’re sailing to the next

Island right it’s cheesy it’s cheesy no no that’s great great it’s something you could do yeah so then you’d have like another land that had the witches are the new updates and the new things being introduced yeah yeah that I I really thought the witches was going to be a

Fourth Village like the zombies the skeletons the creepers I thought that it would be a village of witches and you would free them from the piglins and and then you could use them as a troop uh that’s what I thought and when they when they put him in the village I

At first I think we even talked about this it was like oh yeah now you have a reason to save the village but then you go on and you’re like wait a minute this kind of messes things up overall in the campaign mode so you know

I I personally would love to see a bigger update what that’s like adds these things into the a second campaign and now you’re fighting a new horde with a new ma main boss with you know um the new Mobs that they’re introducing so it’s almost like this the equivalent of a second dimension

Almost yeah oh there you go yeah that would be uh even cool too to have other dimensions there’s just so many possibilities but you know overall I I will say the thing that it’s going to do it’s going to make me go in and play uh the campaign mode over again and

Luckily there wasn’t too many changes to where a lot of my guides had to be pulled down I think my I think my legendary strategy still works um you just now can add witches to that strategy which I think even makes it more effective uh towards the piglins

And and the The Cauldron so now that those are added in I I may go back and revise it a little and be like you could add this to your your situation to make your troops even stronger right so well what a great open question though sore

In DC but that’s only one out of three and the next one I think we could spend another entire podcast talking about if we haven’t already in the past but I really like this one too so we can answer it as the best as we can for now

But it says how many more updates do you think the game will get and how often because the player dropped a lot more and I’m not sure if the devs will keep going which that’s a fair point a very fair point I don’t know but I’ll go ahead and

Say you know just this um not too long ago right before Minecraft live and I’ve been meaning to make a video about this actually a full length video but how they dropped the ball on dungeons it’s like still has more active players than Minecraft Legends but they announced

There will be no more updates ever to it so that that’s kind of scary knowing that this is almost like a sequel to dungeons it’s like now now they’re getting a representation that they’ve already dropped the ball on one of them so I’m with this having less players you

Know I could so foresee that and it makes me scared but if they do some of the bigger updates like this with the witch and the the frogs I mean this update really did have a lot so there’s hope I don’t know if there’s anything

Yeah yeah no I think you said it well I I think I think there’s you know like I think a lot of people even think with Legends they should allow modders to you know release updates for that and you know I I just think it it allows the game stay alive I just

Started playing dungeons but I know a lot of veterans out there who still really enjoy it so you know I think opening up these things and uh you know updating these things is um you know it’s I that’s I guess that’s always in the

Back of my mind is one of my fears that they’re just going to be like no we’re done with Legends it didn’t happen but right again you you know it they they’re making great decisions they’re making good changes uh again the next thing that I would love to see is a

Leaderboard and I know I say it all the time I try to stop saying it all the time but you know that is one of those huge huge changes and that I think uh would breath breathe life into the game and would really make the competitive side of it

Uh um more active and I think you would see a a big boost in players coming back to fight for those top spots so no um yeah I don’t know I do have one last thing and this is something that’s popped into my brain before and as sad

As this sounds for a company to make a decision based on it it could be true and one thing that Legends has going for it that dungeons didn’t is a Marketplace it has a Marketplace they the the greed they keep getting money supposedly if people keep playing

So there is a more likelihood like Dungeons got to a point where they had these updates it I could see how it could be really hard for them to have added a Marketplace into the stage the game was now with Legends here starting with a Marketplace that means that there

Might be more of a chance for it to stay around because of that and as sad as of a reason as that sounds that could be quite truthful yeah well you know that you know personally I think that’s awesome you know when I buy a skin or I you know

Get uh buy the myths um I you know if it’s good content if it’s a neat skin and it’s worth the money I love spending the money because I know that there’s a lot of time energy effort put behind these things that are coming out so you

Know at I I love that thought and I I I like the um I like your thoughts I like that thought like yeah there is a possibility for this game there’s there’s replayability every PVP game is a new game you know um so you got that playability there if they don’t if they

Make it better and don’t do anything to ruin it um you always have a new game every day you get on it’s a new game they made it easier to get into them they made it quicker to get into them they’ve repaired some of the bugs in

Them they’ve sent out the the the 2v2 instead of 3v3 uh so all those are really awesome changes in that and then like you were saying if they have that Marketplace and they’re making enough money to justify keeping people working on this game I do

Think this could be a game that has a lifespan that that is much longer than uh dungeons um if you keep the if you make if you make that PVP game uh gold you you you could have a League of Legends type of fan base to this game

Run out like wood Stone and ores now yeah so this this is a really interesting question I’m gonna I want you to give your answer because I was going to answer this question differently until you brought this up because I when you first asked that I

Was like yeah you can run out of wooden Stone that’s that’s an issue but but then you brought up some good points Hound yeah I I don’t know as I’ve been you know sitting and thinking and kind of already these through for the last hour thinking about it is your answer

For like PVP might be completely different than campaign but for campaign cuz he does also ask could you you know destroy every tree and the truth is you could destroy every tree in the world you’re going to have to build a crap ton of things but you could do it that could

Actually be a challenge run through I spent 180 days destroying every single I I uh committed global warming in Minecraft no but here’s the thing you could destroy everything have a Barren Wasteland and say piggies go for it but the truth is those Village chests are amazing the villagers I don’t know how

They do it they’re they’re many magicians but they create things out of thin air so those Village chests you know sometimes they have a bit of a cool down sometimes they give you more resources than others but one thing you can guarantee on is they will give you

Resources and they will give you resources infinitely also those La chests you can find in the world they also give you resources so you could be in Dire Straits destroyed everything in your world and you’re still going to get resources for main campaign at least yeah and then uh in campaign mode

You can also build the plus pluses that gives you Redstone diamond iron and coal passively uh 15 per minute so you could do that uh to get those resources and then in PvP mode you actually can run out of resources and uh I was actually playing a game with Sauron DC where the

Stone was almost all gone and we were literally battling over the three stone structures that was in the game and not again where’s the stone part two and that’s where we were like oh my gosh we need to get and and you know from experience when I realized that um my

Main focus was just to get as much of that stone as I could and then I knew through going into Diamond biomes that there are piles of scattered Rock now you can’t throw in a lay down and get you know 5,000 Stone from it you got to

Throw throw it down you get 300 300 300 300 so you’re just spending a lot of time getting it and it so to answer the question in PvP mode definitely resources are an issue if anyone from Minecraft Legends is listening to this please please please put balanced maps m balanced mirrored

Maps into bvp uh to make it if if one side has three stacks of stone the other side should three have three stacks of stone and at the end of the day I think it makes everything more of a strategy based game definitely that’s that’d be nice

That’ be super nice cuz are there uh there’s not uh La chests in campaign are there um there are chests but there’s a limited amount they never respond yeah and and I’ve I think I may have said this several times on my live cast uh I think think on my live streams

I think they should get rid of Ls unless they yeah I think we might have said this on the last podcast actually two um make make the chest in areas where everyone knows they’re at and so if I have three chests on my side you’ve got three chests on

Your side and then you could add that to the game as a as a strategy um but the randomness is just you know if you get three chests four chests I get one chest and then all of a sudden I’m getting Cobblestone rushed it’s that’s that’s

More of who found the most chest because they were just randomly generated versus uh strategy so anything that takes away from strategy based skill play I always am like nah let’s not do that well what amazing questions though and if anyone ever even if it’s on one
