So if you haven’t played Minecraft Legends because it’s not out yet it comes out next week it’s really cool uh actually before we do this let’s host a game private and just start because I want to make sure my camera where I’m at right here is not blocking anything

Because I haven’t looked at that yet and that’ll be annoying to do once we’re in game it’s my first exposure to Legends from anyone I’m excited it’s I like it a lot I really like it uh for full transparency’s sake of how much I played the game

I got the game key last week uh and then the game the the first embargo lifts today for Content creators to be able to play the game um so I’m finally excited to share it with you all but I’ve played through the entire campaign and a lot of that I’m

Under embargo I can’t tell you about what happens in there but it is really cool okay I think let’s see if I open this up yeah okay the webcam should be good here this is the game equipment slice lime I kind of am yeah I guess that’s kind of themed off of link

A little bit so for those who are brand new to it just a little quick run through this is our base where over here we’re blue the other team is orange and the goal is to destroy this who whichever team’s base Falls first that is who that’s who wins that is the winner

Uh the way you can do it is just a quick super quick run through of the game so you have the ability to send a laze out and gather materials like that guy’s gonna go gather that tree right there you can see him chopping down the tree

Super cool we can send one over here to gather up some Stone from that big thing super cool right there in the lower left hand corner that that corner you can see all of the materials down there as you unlock things you can get more materials like Redstone iron

Diamond and lap and uh coal to be able to gather there and make more units um you can get your little golems and you can get those so these are spawners so you can create units at in order to get prismarine and Lapis those two other

Materials you have to go to these piglin bases killing them gives you those materials killing destroying buildings buildings gives you prison Marine which is the lighter colored one and then the blue lapis you get from just killing pigling units like I could show you this these little dudes are running over here

Right now um but there’s iron and coal in the ground right there resources all spawn in different biomes so you can see like right here I kill him that’s one lapis uh outside of that you can build walls you can build Gates there’s no custom building but like you can build like

Arrow Towers so you could we do this if we wanted to and that’s gonna if they get built in time they’ll kill the pickles um and it just has like a little quick testy thing here not enough build delays yeah yeah so they’re gonna do their thing they’re

Going to come up here you can just fight them kill them you got more materials blah blah blah blah blah blah that cool stuff and then yeah the other side is so here in your this is like your Journal of everything so there’s all the resources you can get

Here’s all the different types of units you can make you’ll see those once we get those in game uh and then in here’s all the different structures you can do summer upgrades some are different type of attacking towers and others like you can get a redstone launcher to throw

Like a base that’s a trebuchet if you played Age of Empires um and then here’s all the upgrade things that you can build so if you can build an improvement Hub then you can build like one of this to be able to gather iron build this together Redstone

Diamond coal over here you can get a banner which allows you to carry have more mobs in your little army that run around with you you can get more storage you can get the ability to have more flames of creation which is basically if you’re familiar with strategy games

Flames of creation is your mob cap um it’s kind of a weird they kind of redefined the entire RTS genre with like new names for everything so you can see that little fire right here that means we can have 40 total mobs on my team right now I can

Only carry 10 around with me um so I think I can yeah I can make a little Cobblestone gold yeah there’s no other player on the team right now so they’re just gonna die but if we do this see you can just summon Cobblestone Golems they do their thing

Each of them costs lapis so you have to kill piglens in order to make more units uh who did we get a bunch of members Adel thank you so much for the five gift memberships I really appreciate that uh who also met I think why are gift

Memberships not showing up on my thing that’s annoying that is really annoying this streamlabs update is not showing gift memberships I’m gonna have to look into that after stream oh gem just joined yeah so I met a little army here just as like a quick run through

Attacking it the player cannot deal damage to buildings so you have to use units or Towers in order to do it um so it’s kind of a game of like you’re constantly Gathering resources to get more units and then you’re constantly like doing other just like running around doing all the stuff so

There it died you can see a drop for his Marine we got 27 and you can kind of keep working up from there um I’m gonna unmute and join the Discord and we’ll see how it goes but I did wanted to just give a little heads up

Not you can start private matches of anything from 1v1 to 4v4 you can have lopsided teams you can basically do whatever and public matchmaking is always for before though public matchmaking is 4v4 yeah so if you’re just getting into a game with complete randos it has to be 4v4 but you’re like

Filling up spots on somebody else’s team you might even join a game like mid-session and just like have to start throwing eurolays at various objects the one random multiplayer game I joined I joined like really far into it I think there was something was happening some random

Streamers I don’t know I didn’t know who they I didn’t recognize any of the names but the game was like nearly over and all of a sudden I joined and I was just getting spam pinged like where I was positioned they were just like I was

Like maybe I’m not supposed to be here but okay they’re like go go Rush the base and you’re like oh I need wood and iron yeah yeah the game’s not out till the 18th but a lot of us got Early Access as content creators so yeah yeah the

Soundtrack for this game so far has been really choice and I’m very happy about it I don’t even have my own music on and that’s very rare for me yeah it’s good it’s good stuff I reckon I reckon a couple of weeks in we might start putting the chill playlists back

Everything in your army and you want to like send the creepers to a wall you have to control then hit four and then scroll down and then you have to right click like that is those are all the buttons you have to hit to send and if

You right click once you’ll send one creeper if you double right click it’s supposed to send two Creepers but it actually sends all of them so I’m weird think you can do single click for one unit or you basically the equivalent on controller is press and

Hold yeah but if you like if you delve into like the RTS side like everybody is just Spam clicking like APM is over 200 and a lot of RTS games and so like for me I’m like right click right click right click right click and then and then it just like if you

Click it too much the game assumes you’re holding it down because I think of how controller input works it probably is mapped the same way so it like it just will send everything so you have to like you have to click leave it click leave it you have to

Leave like a solid half seconds between each single unit’s end which is not fun it’s not something silly like uh Pixies and friends with Martin on okay friends he’s using I um what’s it called uh I’ve just booted up my Xbox and I’m just going to download it on the console because

I mean he’s at least gotten in but he’s not managed to get the central tower luckily do I get in I think there’s a gate on the Eastern side uh shall we take take those cold stone golems over here and knock down his creeper spawner over here

To send individual mobs as well like all of a sudden your mouse acceleration dies yeah so you just can’t you can’t but it’s actually really bad they need to fix it okay you need to get one of those like DPI buttons that changes on the top

Of the mouse and then like they just need to fix it like it’s just it’s just a straight up bug if it just if it just remembered where you were looking last time yeah and also remembered remembered the mob that you’re on that you want to send out yeah

That’d be great yeah and also I sent my creepers in I sent my creepers in three separate times to charge and they went up to the wall and just stopped and did nothing yeah the creepers will try and Target the the prior buildings over walls which includes Towers so they’ll look at the

Tower behind but I’m sending them specifically to the walls I found that if you put the towers one space right behind the wall the the like specific toggle command still does an area and it picks the highest prior which is a tower so then they just run into it so it’s yeah

Like you need a redstone launcher to like open a hole or you need like a you need something to open a hole in a wall and then you can go in or you just go through a gate once oh is that it is bro I love I love the birds so much

Martin did you like trying to hit me on that bird there’s only two mounts right the horse and there’s four no there’s more there’s a beetle and there’s a tiger oh the tiger is kind of I think it’s rare because it’s always in Badlands and uh Tiger’s really not that good it’s not

Times in order to keep up with the demand you need to communicate with your team in order to coordinate an attack and you need to focus on defending a base as much as attacking it has all those elements for an RTS and it shows that the Blackbird interactive have done

This before but they clearly are fighting with the fact that they have to tailor this game to both an Xbox controller and a mouse and keyboard yeah whereas most rts’s just have to deal with a mouse and keyboard yeah but it’s it’s not just an Xbox controller it’s a

PlayStation controller and a switch controller and like it’s on so many platforms and that’s changing the Minecraft inventory way that much because it has to be all of so many things yeah yeah but but it’s still such a fun game it’s just like these are minor gripes that we’re finding as we’re

I believe has to be you need to get like 30 lapis then take the spawner to their base pop it down and then just spawn Cobble Golems yeah two lapis per so that would be only seven gold okay so you need like maybe 50 lapis then in order to do that well

The problem is getting walls is so cheap and towers that like yeah but it depends if they’ve done that that’s the the real thing isn’t it yeah but you can you can solo 10 Golems if they’re killing your base like it’s but not maybe not 20 if you’re going for it yeah

Because like the early piglens like force you to build a tower too yeah I I have sealed off the small part of the Tower cool we’ve already got one Tower down so we’ve got some prismo again yep nice prismarine what do I need for this I need lots of

Gaming and how I got into gaming is I started as an RTS player I used to play Starcraft 2 like that was my game and I have like 6 000 games in Starcraft 2 played I was like dying I was in master League which is the top one percent of

Players in the US and I was so close to Grand Master which is the top point one percent so like I’m washed up now I’m old uh but for me so for everybody who’s hearing me complain about things and things like that these are the types of games that I

Love and these are the types of games that I min max the heck out of if you saw how I was kind of playing the game here it was so little micro managements of things all over the place as much as I could do so remember to take

Everything I was complaining about here with that perspective in perspective in of I have so much background in these and I know what makes these games run well at least in my opinion when you get into the competitive scene when you get into all of the like really intense high

Level gameplay there just doesn’t have the ability for that right now in Legends but that being said Legends doesn’t have a competitive game mode there is no competitive rank system in Minecraft Legends right now there’s only the general versus 4v4 mode where you’re going to queue with anybody there is an

MMR system so you’re against people who you are compared with skill level wise but for that there’s no rank system so maybe they’re not building it for that and that’s where it goes that’s totally fine um overall game releases next week if you thought it was interesting today the

Campaign is very cool it is so much fun Shelby said she’s gonna go stream the first little bit of it so if you want to go check her out be sure to do that um I’ve played through the entire thing and without any spoilers or anything

Like that I was very satisfied with how it ended I was very satisfied with how long the game took and how long everything in there took I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say it but I played on the legendary difficulty which is the highest difficulty you can have and

Granted again I have the skill mindset of it it took me 12 hours to get through everything and I was flying there was no down time for me so I think the general player probably is gonna take 15 20 hours depending on how many days in game

You spend doing it because there’s that day night cycle uh this game is not free to play at all it’s all on the store it’s on Steam it’s on Microsoft store it’s on Xbox app it’s on all those things um so I hope you all enjoyed so much today
