To the trophy room looks like a good place to get some wheat hmm nice huh is there a button around here somewhere it’s a trap hey this is Ronnie go boom and welcome my trap tutorial series for trap Tuesday today we’re gonna do an experiment with lingering potions and then I’m going to Show you a new trap invention that I have let’s start out by testing some of the damages from arrows and then potions so a regular arrow does one and a half hearts this is unarmored poison hmm let’s see looks like three and a half now this is extended poison Ooh five and a half poison – does 3 instant damage does the sing that same as a regular era instant damage – is the same alright let’s move on to potions this splash extended potion of poison right in the face is going to affect us for a minute and 30 seconds that’s plenty to get us down to half a heart poison to gets us down a lot faster even though it only lasts 21 seconds now let’s check out the new lingering poison 2 potion lasts a couple seconds but then there’s more lingering lasts about 5 seconds there’s enough to Apply it three times alright let’s try the extended lingering potion instead of the poison – this is poison one but it’s extended last for 20 seconds but I have a feeling that this effect is gonna last longer than the actual lingering potion effects on the ground even still I’m Sure it’ll get us down to zero all right let’s try instant damage three instant damage to the six now for the new ones the lingering instant damage potion ooh one and a half hearts each and four stacks of it one lingering damage to potion stay in there long enough and you’re dead We just tested what it was like to see these effects on a naked player now let’s see a more practical experiment let’s see how it effects a player and protection for gear this is the normal typical high-end PvP gear regular arrows don’t even do any damage now a five Second poison arrow just a heart extended poison arrow 1.5 hearts over 11 seconds poison to arrow point five hearts instant damage arrow nothing instant damage to also nothing last time this poison got us all the way down to half a heart let’s check this time this Is with protection for full 1 minute and 30 second exposure down to half a heart after a minute in 4 seconds and still several seconds to go but this is with no regen whatsoever let’s try poison – it only lasts 21 seconds but it damages you a lot faster But let’s see if we can get you all the way down to half a heart this might be more practical to use if you have a real-life PvP situation because of how quickly it gets your heart stamped six hearts and 20 seconds that’s a pretty good deal even though it doesn’t get you All the way down it does it very quickly it will help surpass the effects of regeneration lingering poison – with protection for armor let’s see how it does alright first application one and a half hearts and it’s gone I’d say effectively about three hearts Ling room poison to first effect and I’m Going to try to catch that last one two applications of twenty two seconds and didn’t get to go all the way through the first application five and a half hearts not bad so as far as lingering poison goes it looks like lingering poison one extended is a little bit better than Lingering poison to lingering poison to just doesn’t last very long and although it does get you down three hearts generally quickly this one is better for the long term if you want a poison effect on the ground this is the way to go but I still think that the regular Poison potions are much better it lasts a lot longer and get a lot more hearts overall regular instant damage one one heart instant damage to two hearts lingering instant damage let’s seal up for this one one two three four five applications let’s try that again five applications One-half heart each brings us down 2.5 hearts and lingering instant damage to five applications one heart each and there we have it now for my analysis it appears that if you’re going to be throwing potions poison or poison two are both gonna be pretty effective lingering poison is not Really worth it instant damage two is decent but the lingering instant damage to potion is fantastic it’ll leave five points of total damage and it’ll stay on the ground for five total absorptions at a full heart each if you can use arrows for ap4 battle it Looks like poison 1 extended is gonna be the way to go since instant damage doesn’t seem to do anything I’m sure slowness it’ll give you a really good advantage as well all right let’s take a look at the trap that we saw at the beginning of the video as You might have guessed this is a trap let’s see how it works so over here I have one of the tileable designs that I have for a lingering potion of harming instant damage to trap it’s flush with the ceiling or a wall or the floor and it’s pretty easy to build for example Let’s take a creeper stick down to here show you what it can do it pulls the way the floor it’s flush and then add this lingering instant damage to potion this is actually really similar to my pop-up zombie defense with a couple minor changes but I’ll show you how to do it You’re gonna need two redstone torches redstone repeater 9 redstone a bunch of blocks of your choice a dispenser three sticky pistons a stone slab and a bunch of instant damage to potions I like the lingering ones they’re fun we’re gonna start out by identifying the block that You want to pull away from your ceiling from here we’re gonna place to stick pistons on the side and one in the bottom just like this facing down replace that block now we want to hook these up to a repeater on two ticks and then we want to string redstone all the Way around to the side to this block here next we have our input I like to hook mine up to a proximity detector this one is a line of sight player detector I have a tutorial on it here and now we just have to hook up the Dispenser place a slab on top of this got a block with a redstone torch dispenser facing down and repeater I like to set it to two ticks now just fill this up with lingering potions and hook it up to your triggering mechanism redstone these work in walls and floors as well You can add a hopper and some chests here so you can have extra storage for your lingering potions and then you’ll almost never run out thanks so much
