Minecraft Lord of The Rings Episode 55: THE HELLFIRE EXPEDITION 2: Learning How to Make an Airship

Hello everybody and welcome back to some more modded Minecraft today is the second episode of the Hellfire Saga and I’ve got something special for you I’m going to be using these to make an Airship I’ve been doing research on airships and apparently there’s a lot of information about him on here

You can use them basically with the ship’s Helm and these balloon things to fly so what I’m going to do today is I’m going to make one of these airships or at least I’m going to make a smaller version of one that I’ll make in the

Future I don’t have a ton of materials to make balloons right now I’ll also be making some steam engines because those things they basically just make your ships go way faster they take um iron ingots furnace stuff that’s pretty easy to get the main issue will be in getting lots

Of coal for them but I did get a lot of coal when I was mining before so it shouldn’t be much of a problem now first we need to make the ship’s helm I’ll probably need some more iron for this let’s see to make the ship’s Helm I’m gonna need

I’ve got plenty of cobblestone get a furnace up and then I’ll make some buckets so I can make Steam Engines easier later I’ll collect some water while I’m down out of here and let’s make a crafting table I’ll bring it with me in case I need crafting a thing down there

When I’m testing out the flying ship now let’s see I’ll need special wood for this you know you got to use wood that is specifically from the original Minecraft you can’t use any fur wood it has to be Birch or what’s called Oak that’s all it is it has to be Birch

Or oak or you can’t use it now let’s see you make your Helm like that okay Bam Bam Bam Bam easy peasy so now we got the helm we’ll use that to Pilot the Airship we’ll also need the balloons for the airship how do you put these together let’s see

I’ll just check the website uh huh looks like I was doing it correctly and yet it’s still not working all right I’ll just look it up in the recipes for the game oh you’re kidding me it’s just the strings under the wall like a like a balloon I guess

Except you can’t really make a balloon with wool anyways that’s lets me to make seven of those hopefully that’ll be enough to get something off the ground now let’s go down and build one hmm maybe I should call my base The Two Towers could certainly be a good Lord of the Rings reference

Anyways let’s build our furnaces or our engines our steam engines there we go two steam engines those will make me go way faster once I built this once I build this thing now let’s check what I need to do again I can build these things out of more

Wool which will let me carry players with me but there’s one more thing I want to make which is this lets me carry mobs around oh I need to get my leather fat okay let’s go grab some leather and then we’ll make some of these Thank you okay all right we’ll make a couple of them put some Orcs on them and it’s not working either why isn’t it working oh I need the here let’s you know what let’s check the recipe on here oh that’s why it needs the same type of

Wood it can’t use fur wood because it’s from The Lord of the Rings mod all right let me go back to the Tower and get ingredients again oh it’s getting dark let’s light this place up because I’ve noticed that when I’m watching this on YouTube it seems so much darker here

At night than it does on my screen as I’m playing which is weird now let’s see what else do I need this is a model that someone did for their own Airship they made let’s see oh hey look at that the blocks need to be 40 air pollutants okay yeah that’s useful no

I wonder how many blocks I can place with only seven balloons not very many like I said yeah a calculator to do them out and do the math when they’re all just figured out through trial and error hey thank you so here’s the first iteration of the

Airship design and we’ve got two steam engines for going fast we got six of those troop carriers on there we got all the balloons on top now let’s put this thing together all right says it’ll work now it mounted I hope it works I’m going quite slow

Well I mean it’s because the steam engines don’t have any coal in them I don’t know I can go grab a bunch from the Misty Mountain Mining base so While I wait for the Waypoint I’m going to check the rules again it could be because I don’t have enough air balloons let’s see the helm on yeah that’s pretty basic stuff hey this is good to know pressing the assemble ship button will show how many

Uh what the percent of air balloons are out of normal blocks and we got some controls down here so a line is pressing equals we’ve got flying up is X down to Z break there isn’t a break disassemble huh I might use that I can use that to take apart the old um

I use this symbol to take apart the old Siege engine which I don’t really need up anymore good to finally know how to disassemble stuff okay I finally made it back now let’s get up on there I’m gonna make my little staircase stretch over here because I have backed it up a bit

Jump okay that’s annoying whatever I’m just gonna hop in the pilot seat now let’s see what was the button for disassemble slash okay let me hit slash nothing happened okay oh that’s the wrong way wrong slash way right yeah okay it’s the other one is that backslash then not slash whatever

Okay now it’s part it’s not a ship anymore perfect let’s see oh dang it I connected it to the ground again it sunk straight down to the ground let’s mind that I gotta mine these spikes out again all right now let’s see only 18 percent of the ship is air balloons okay

I’m gonna have to shrink this thing down a lot The tiniest ship physically possible assemble it yes 43 let’s fly oh it’s working it’s working sweet sweet okay this thing flies pretty fast I don’t even have any coal in the steam engine I bet I can get up to the roof of my basement here oh crash all right this is nice

It feels pretty cool to be flying what the heck what the heck what just happened am I was that a parachute oh my God it’s still up there no is it sinking down I think it might be sinking down I don’t know I’m gonna climb up there and get it

Did it glitch out because I eat I don’t think that that’s a thing all right let me up there come on uh we just gotta get to the sign and hop on and I’m parachuting out again what the heck oh yeah dude are you kidding me it’s it’s just gonna be glitched there

Forever ah dang it freaking fall damage man are you kidding me oh I guess you’re just gonna be stuck up there forever I’ll need some more wool if I’m gonna build a bigger Airship I’ll have that string though I suppose that I did do testing
