Gonna go ahead and jump right into things now if you’re wondering what this mod is it’s basically just another one of those machine mods out there we’re gonna be learning machines at the end of the day and if you’re one of those people who think machines are boring

Don’t worry about it today they’re not gonna be boring we’re gonna have a fun time because we’re gonna be learning a whole new mod and I’m gonna do my best to explain to you guys how it all works it’s just something that needs to be done because check this out we’ve got a

Bunch of derpy looking chests you know we don’t want these in our house and it’s just hard to open them up and search for what you want grab it and pull it out it could be just as easy to have an entire network of chests all

Linked to one terminal where we can just open that terminal and search whatever we want and just pull it out like that and that’s essentially what applied energistics is going to let us do is make it any network out of chests and term in terminals pretty much like it’s

It’s pretty complicated I’m gonna make it as simple as possible for you guys though check it out kevin has a brand new hat on today it looks like he’s going to be recording a movie or something I just don’t understand what the top hat is for is that supposed to

We can finally begin let’s go over to our chests and we’re going to make something called a meteorite compass and if I remember how its crafted I believe all we need is four of these um syrtis quartz crystals which are basically going to be a pretty relevant crafting

Material for this mod so I mean you’ll get what I mean as we move along here so actually I only need one of those I think to make the meteorite compass and the reason we’re making a meteorite compass is because we have to go find where a meteor has crash-landed crap I

Did it reverse actually I think I need a charged syrtis quartz crystal which I have from mining you can find them rarely but anyways what I was saying is we do have to craft one of these so we can find a meteor that has crash-landed into the ground and and basically the

Compass will point to us where the nearest meteor crash landing is and we’re going to dig underground see if we can find that meteor and there should be something secret down there waiting for us and I can’t wait to find out what it is because well I mean we need it to get

Started with our applied energetics so it better be what we need and I know it’s pointing to the left but I’m just going to go out this way unless it’s like really close by because I think it points it definitely points to a chunk a chunk that contains the sky stone is

What it’s called that’s what we’re going to find but that’s pointing out in the water I don’t want to go out that way so I’m going to keep walking this way a little bit I will be back in just a second okay so I can fly so it’s really no big deal

The same blocks from the obsidian obelisk we found that one time look there’s a another one of these walls but the meteorite compass did change directions so I we could to almost be there as of oh we are we’re here so when it’s spinning around really

Fast just like that that means we have found the sky stone chunk and if I enable the chunk lines which which you can see right here whenever I enter the chunk it will start spinning like crazy and that is because it is somewhere inside this chunk we don’t know where

It’s gonna be pretty hard it might take like a little bit I might have to mine for like 20 minutes or something but hey I’ll do it I’ve got to find that sky stone so I will be right back I’m just going to be digging around here for a

Little bit and then I’ll let you guys know if I find it so be right back okay so I’ve dug down a few times here um as you see not the typical thing you should do but um I did find the sky stone here

It is right down here so I guess we can go ahead and start mining it got a mine around it and it looks like it has a harvest level of obsidian which means it probably takes a while to mine so we’re gonna have to mine it up but I mean it’s

Sky stone itself is useful it’s not what we’re here for it’s just containing a secret that we have to find here but we have to mine the sky stone to get to the secret probably cuz it looks like it’s not anywhere nearby here it should be a chest basically is what we’re looking

For and it’s usually encased within this meteor as you can see it’s kind of like just a big meteor thing so I’m gonna mine through this and see if I can find the secret okay so I found a chest I think well yeah it’s called a sky stone

Chest which is a pretty cool thing you can make out of sky stone so it is useful for something so inside this chest we have perfect and then scriber logic press and this is what we’re going to use to make a lot of our any items

That we’re going to need to make for applied energistics and yeah so we’re definitely need the logic press but we’re going to need one more press and it didn’t like this chest had it so I may have to go find another like sky stone meteor underground there’s actually another one

He’s called a silicon press and we need that as well so yes I am gonna go find another one of these meteors but this is pretty cool I’m gonna mine up all this as well and then I will be right back in a second okay you guys so we are back home and

I’ve got I’ve found a few more presses we’ve got the logic press the new calculation press and the new silicon press and yet we’re basically going to do some crafting now so here we go so before anything we probably should just make a hole right here and put some

Water in it and the reason I’m saying we need to do that is because well I mean we don’t even have any water first of all so we need to go get some water but I need to put some water in this hole because we are going to be growing some

Syrtis quartz crystals but they’re going to be pure they’re not like your ordinary syrtis quartz crystals because we already have those and to be honest we may run out maybe not this episode but I am going to definitely run out soon so I need to go mine some more

Because you can never have enough of that but what we’re going to do is we’re going to fill this hole with water and then we’re going to make what’s called syrtis quartz seeds there’s one right there and to do that it requires some syrtis quartz dust and sand and then

You’ll get some seeds and this is a really unique way to grow something like this and I’ll show you guys as we move along here so I’m going to get some of these serviced quartz crystals and tournament to dust normally you would use a grinder from the applied

Energistics mod but I have a polarizer right here so we can go ahead and pulverize these it’s much faster than the grinder because or the grindstone because you have to manually do that with your hands and no one wants to be that so we got our quartz dust here and we need some

Sand like I said which we probably have over knees chests which we will be able to ultimately eliminate as well we don’t even have sand over here either dang it okay we’re going to go up here we got sand in the chest no big deal so let’s

Go in here there we go we just need one let’s let’s take a couple pieces so let’s put these dusts in the crafting table along with the sand and we’re going to get four seeds we might as well throw them all in the water so like I

Said we’re going to grow them but this is how you grow them one two three four so they’re just going to sit there in the water but they will not de-spawn like your typical dropped items would they will just sit there and grow and when we come back in a little bit we’re

Going to pick them up and there’s going to say there’s going to be like a percentage and there is a way to speed this up but we don’t have the materials right now so we’re just going to do this old-fashioned way and they’re going to grow while we’re waiting so the next

Thing we are going to make and while I have this searched up right here I’m going to check out the circus quartz wrench which is made with just some crystals no big deal so let’s go into our crafting table and make that because in order to move these machines around

Without permanently breaking them we are going to have to use this wrench so we have that we just need to keep that in our hot bar you know no big deal let’s move this well hold on I’m gonna keep the quest book down here alright there

We go what what is up with this rain I don’t even why is it raining all the time like every three minutes it like decides to rain why are you doing this to me mind craft gods I don’t want this rain while I’m recording a video please

Stop okay so we’re going to be doing something a little bit different now I mean it’s kids kind of similar to the seed growth over there but we’re gonna make another hole fill it with water once again and check this out this is going to be pretty interesting I

Actually have to go back inside to get the materials but wait it’s okay because we’re going to drop off all these blocks as well we don’t need the blocks there we go and we are going to pick up some of this old we’re going to pick up some

Glowstone we’re going to pick up some redstone so this is going to be pretty interesting here all you really need is the redstone glowstone and our crystals which we have right here let’s get some more crystals we’ll need more actually just kidding we just need these charged

Syrtis quartz crystals and then we will also need what we didn’t even need the glowstone dust right now but we can hold on to that for a second and then we need nether quartz just regular quartz and then we’re going to try something right now I’ve never tried this yet I just

Know how to do it so here we go so we got our puddle of water we’re going to be making a special material it’s called flu X and it’s beautiful it’s a it’s a way it’s a beautiful way to craft it as well you got a drop in one of these charged

Crystals you drop in a redstone and then a regular nether quartz and oh and the magic just happened look at that we got two flu excrescence now this is the one of the most essential ingredients and pretty much all of applied energistics you’re going to need to make this before

You make it anything so yeah we’re going to be doing this a lot I’m probably going to make some off-camera I’m just going to throw in more of these I wonder how much I wonder if you can make multiple at one time maybe not maybe not

Oh I don’t know one two three we got one two three let’s see if we get out triple the material oh we did okay so you can just make these all at once if you wanted to well that’s really cool it’s a very cool way to craft to craft an item

Or a material but yeah we’re definitely going to need some more charged syrtis quartz crystals which means we’re gonna have to make a charger you guys yes that is a real thing we got a charger right here it’s made with two of these special crystals that

We just made and five pieces of iron now this thing is awesome because it’s going to be able to charge out our crystals pretty much forever these syrtis quartz crystals so we can make even more so what we want to do is grab some iron let’s get one two three four

Actually let’s just take that whole thing all right there we go and to craft the charger it is just like this and there we go I don’t think it needs power I hope it doesn’t it might need power just saying so we’re gonna go ahead and actually go what’s up Kevin

How’s your movie going was it great he’s filming a movie with the animals he thinks he’s gonna it’s it’s a comedy it’s about how farm animals think they can make movies but they can’t I mean I don’t know he’ll he said he’d tell me more about it later anyways let’s go

Ahead and put down this charger I think in here’s where we’re going to have our entire any system I might do it on this right side over here so let’s go and put the charger right here why not and the way it works is you can put some regular

Service quartz crystals in there just like that and if the charger is powered which it needs very little power it will charge that individual crystal and then give it back to me pretty cool pretty cool stuff so and to do that you may be wondering you do have to craft a

Vibration chamber now this is used to pretty much power every single thing in the mod you could say but you need an energy receptor a scepter not receptor you need this first to craft the vibration chamber which will power everything else so let’s go ahead and make this vibration chamber

And I will be right back okay so we are back I have my vibration chamber here we can go ahead and place it down probably probably just right here why not and then we need to make an energy cell as well so this vibration chamber has

Somewhere to put all the energy and no worries we do have all the materials for an energy cell is crafted just like this if we go over to our table I’m pretty sure we can just now we’re missing something oh we need to make flu X dust

That’s right so let’s go over to our pulverizer put in for these crystals and make some fluids dust just like that and now if we go back over here yep we have enough okay so let’s put down this energy cell right here just like that right next to it and this vibration

Chamber basically the way it works is it will take any sort of fuel just like that and it will create a power by the name of AE pertick and it will store the power into this energy cell which will then push it out to whatever we want say

This chamber over here or this eye charger not chambered so I’m just going to move this charger right here right next to it I think it should work just fine when the cables are connected to it just like that yep okay so it says it’s it contains three krf which means it is

Powered and if we take some of this crystal and we put it in there it should only take just a second to charge it up if we just we wait on it come on come on okay there you go so we get one charged syrtis quartz crystal and of course we

Can use that for anything we talked about already so this is your basic setup for applied energistics I mean right there that’s enough to know to get started with the mod but we’re going to go ahead and go a little further so what we’re

Going to do next is we are going to make a in a chest and this is the item we’ve been hunting after for so long and a lot of you guys in the comments have been like make an Emmy system because you know we have just so many items at this

Point and if we want to be able to automate everything correctly we’re going to need a giant storage system so this thing is really awesome and we just have to get into it right now so I’m going to go ahead and type any chest and we’re going to craft this dude up right

Now it’s pretty crafty heavy so what I’m going to do is I’m just going to craft it off camera so you guys don’t have to go through all that but basically it requires an ami terminal which is correct oh my god it’s crafted with all this and I will show this on camera

Because a little bit more complicated as it does use a entire new machine called the inscriber so that essentially is the thing we’re going to have to make next inscriber can we make it can we make it requires two sticky pistons some iron and if Luke’s crystal so I’m going to make that

And I’m going to be right back okay so here is the inscriber and basically what this is well it takes the presses that we found earlier underground remember when we went back and explored those meteors well we’re going to be using it now so it needs to be powered so I’m just going

To put it next to the vibration chamber and it should power up just fine by the way this needs more fuel let’s power this up with a lava bucket I’m sure that will burn for a good amount of time so the inscriber over here the way this

Works is we put one of these inscribed presses we found out in the wild you put them in here and do I have any silicon I mean I think I do up here in my chest let’s go check grab that real quick do I have it it would be in ores right there

It is silicon silicon yeah let’s go ahead and put this down here inside of our subscriber and subscribe subscriber that’s you guys you’ve got if you didn’t subscribe subscribe to the channel okay anyways we’ve got printed silicon now what we are making right now is this

Logic processor and as you can see it takes this printed silicon that we just made and it takes a printed logic circuit and then it makes a logic processor it’s getting pretty advanced at this point but don’t let me lose you yet it’s about to get real interesting

And we’re going to be able to check out this terminal and finally finish it up here in a second so yeah we need to make this printed logic circuit as well which is it’s pretty simple it’s we still use the inscriber for everything you just

Got to know how to use it so we got the inscriber logic press if we put a piece of gold right here it will combine and make wait for it a printed logic circuit and then we can take that and then we can take our do we have our

Silicon what happened to it oh there it is what the heck it just had a giant brain fart okay anyways we’re going to take this redstone and put it right in the middle as well and then check it out they’re going to combine to make the legendary logic processor now we need

Them we need to make three of these in order to be able to make an any chest or just one any terminal in general so we’re going to make a few more of these I’m just going to do that by stacking on top right here with this silicon you can

Make one back-to-back just like that so we don’t have to go through all the process again check this out BAM okay so we got two of those now we need two of the other ones so where is the logic press we’re going to put in one piece of

Gold and then that should make us a logic processor or a circuit and then we put in one more gold and it will make one more of those and then we combine these both and we’ll have three of these processors but that’s pretty much the hard part at this point because these

Other core things we have to make right now are made with those as well as some just simple materials so it doesn’t it just takes a lot of crafting you just got to know what to do really okay so I just made all three of our logic processors now basically what we

Have to do is make these two cores and that requires more fluids dust which I obviously don’t have any more of so I’m going to go I’m gonna go just make a bunch of that and then I will be right back it stopped raining why is it

Raining all the time Kevin are you doing this for your movie or something that you require rain for your movie I don’t understand okay um I’ll I’ll be right back okay so I’m about to make a whole bunch of these so here we go we’re gonna

Throw in 10 of those and then just half of these why not oh that made so much look at that we just got 20 fluids crystals yeah all right so let’s go I mean we may need some of these crystals in full-form but we will go ahead and pulverize them down

To dust right now we’ll just we’ll just do a few of them like ten and then like I said we need to craft these cores which shouldn’t be too hard we we’ve got everything for both the cores I believe okay so we got our dust let’s go over to

Our crafting table let’s see if we can craft up one of these cores here yes we can we can get two of them beautiful all right now let’s get one of these as well one two there we go all right so I think we are finally ready to craft one of the

Items required to craft one of these MHS like I said these eme chests take a lot to craft but they’re worth it because they all connect in one database and then you can just search for whatever you want you don’t have to go sifting through stupid derpy chests like I said

So we’re going to need some regular glass whew these cables I think we have everything to be honest we just need to make this terminal so we have one more thing to make the terminal that we need to make it and it is this bright illuminated panel apparently can we make

That with what we’ve got yeah it looks like it we need some more quartz glass that’s what we need so I’m gonna go ahead and make some more of this glass it takes probably like a minute or two so once again I will be right back and thank you for sticking

With me this long okay we’re back we’re about to craft this illuminated panel and I guess we get three of them for the price of one well which I thought was one anyways but yeah we now have plenty of materials to make a whole nother chest if we really wanted to but let’s

Go ahead and craft just this chest and I think we can we can finally do it right now look and Emmy terminal this thing is really cool by the way we’re not going to use it right now with this particular terminal but what you can do is you can

Link these cables probably I could probably link them all the way up to here behind the wall and everything and then I could slap the terminal on the wall so whenever I come in here I could just right-click the terminal and access anything in all of my chests at any time

So it’s going to be pretty crazy anyways let’s go ahead and craft this chest fine yes we could do it look at this our first Emmy chest okay so we need to power this guy up we definitely need to power this dude up and I don’t know how

I’m going to do it I suppose I suppose I could just put it right there just for now just for now I could move it later if I wanted to and then I can connect it with the power lines which should be able to I mean it’ll turn it on but what

It also needs is a storage unit and if I search 1k which is what we’re going to craft because it’s the easiest thing we need to make a one kme storage cell we need yet another material that will be a component to crafting this Emme storage cell which will take another minute or

Two so I’m just going to do this off camera you guys get the gist this is a one kme storage cell basically it’s like a hard drive that will store all of our items in like almost like a database and this chest needs it to function before

We can start using it so I’m go ahead and mine that up as well there we go okay so I will be right back dun dun dun dun okay so we got a one kme storage cell I’m pretty excited look at that we even got an achievement for it

That’s how long it took this is better than chess we did it we finally did it okay so I’m gonna go in my chest put in the storage cell and check this out the chest has turned on that little green light means it is on and we can finally

Access our MHS look at how cool this is and as long as we keep the network all connected and everything we can now access this entire any system from anywhere we want this is really exciting so I can put stuff inside this chest check it out it tells me the number

Which means I can go over 64 if I put if I put a stack of 64 glowstone dust in here on top of this 17 it will say well it’ll say 81 sorry I had to do the math quick math alright anyways yeah this is

It I mean this is what we were working towards of course I can upgrade and make this better over time and make it super SuperDuper cool and organized and have multiple chests and whatnot and is going to be really cool so real quick I do want to explain how these storage cells

Work so if you can see when I hover over it it says 38 out of 1024 bytes used like I said it’s it’s basically a hard drive the more of these items I do put into the chest like I’m gonna put in 26 gold it is now 49 bytes so it’s not the

Exact number depending on it depends what items you add in but it’s like data it’s data like I said so it has used five of 63 types of blocks so as you can see if I go back into the chest there are five blocks it can hold 63 different

Types and then once it hits that 63 as long as there is another chest connected to the entire network it will basically start taking from that storage cell that’s in the next chest pretty much is what I’m trying to say so we have other types of storage cells over here and not

Enough items as you can see it goes up really high to 128 to the 8 spatial storage cell so yeah anyways look how much 64k can hold 65,000 bytes and these don’t even say but I’d imagine these are a lot bigger but the max we can go for

An Emmy storage cell is this one 64 K can hold a lot a lot imagine imagine how much one thousand bytes is and this is 65,000 bytes that’s for one chest so imagine how much cobblestone you can hold in there so yeah as we move along

Of course we will craft these they’re a little bit more hefty to craft but it’s possible it just takes some time and yeah we’re going to be getting into that it’s going to be great we’ll be able to store anything we want as much as we want and it’s going to be fun
